Since moving from New Zealand in 2016 I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T all multiple times.
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go to is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
I enjoy finding well maintained caches in fun and unique cache containers. No one likes finding a mint tin – but a find is a find after all.
I’m currently working on a Project-GC challenge to get the average word count on my logs over 200 words.
So please ignore the rest of this log as it is just nonsense and song lyrics.
Well she was an American girl
Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin' that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, and if she had to die
Tryin' she, had one little promise
She was gonna keep
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
Well, It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could hear the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' on the beach
And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful, when
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
Well I'm a-runnin' down the road try'n to loosen my load
I've got seven women on my mind
Four that want to own me, two that want to stone me
One says she's a friend of mine
Take it easy, take it easy
Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy
Lighten up while you still can
Don't even try to understand
Just find a place to make your stand, and take it easy
Well, I'm a standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona
Such a fine sight to see
It's a girl, my Lord, in a flat-bed Ford
Slowin' down to take a look at me
Come on, baby, don't say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love is gonna save me
We may lose and we may win, though we will never be here again
So open up I'm climbin' in, so take it easy
Well, I'm a runnin' down the road tryin' to loosen my load
Got a world of trouble on my mind
Lookin' for a lover who won't blow my cover, she's so hard to find
Take it easy, take it easy
Don't let the sound of your own wheels make you crazy
Come on baby, don't say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love is gonna save me
Oh, we got it easy
We oughta take it easy

A nice quick cache but the ants were a bit ferocious. I got bitten. I knocked them out of the cache but watch out.
Away for the weekend with omegaman and Happy pants, signing the logs under the team name HHO. Up early and on the road, grabbing a few caches before leaving town. With no muggles about, it was a quick park and grab, with Happy pants doing the honours.
Thanks Bounty Trackers for placing the cache for us to find.

Up and about nice and early this morning grabbing a few caches before heading out of town and we had the area to ourselves to search an managed a nice quick find. Didn't have to venture past the pearly gates this morning and after logging the cache we continued on our way. Thanks Bounty Trackers for the hide.

Well these certainly are big black gates! Wow. My favourite type of hide, such an original idea (;
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache!

Great hide. Log was full so added a new sheet and put it all in a bag to keep out the moisture. Thanks
What a beautifully maintained cemetery here and magnificent gates! Good view of the town from all the gravesite stood. Easy find while gates were open and no funeral was on. Not easy but I found it quickly. TFTC
7pm- had to tell the security guard what geocaching was all about his answer - oh that's sweet, where's the next one?!
TFTC took the niece and nephew today there 1st time and said hello to my cousin while we were there
Quick find. Time was tight today and I didn't get a chance to explore beyond the gates. I do enjoy the history in these locations.

No umber 4 of (hopefully) 10 to make it to 400 while on my way to East Gippsland.

We found this cache today at 12:50pm as number 12 of 32 on our Longwarry to Moe Trail. "HA" found this one as I was looking to the north. Thanks from D & HA B-A.
Nice quick find on a sunny day. Noisy long term resting place thanks to the highway but gardens are beautiful. TFTC
A trip to Drouin to visit relatives was made even more exciting by picking up a cache on the way there. We had a quick hunt around, decided to read the description again (I've got a memory like a sieve - just ask my wife!) and had the cache quickly in hand. Thanks for the cache Bounty Trackers, and for taking us down a road less travelled.
With ceebee2013. GPS insisted this was GZ but it was a little difficult due to the fact we were looking for a different cache because of a misreading of the description. Those are mighty gates, must have cost heaps. They could do with some preventative maintenance. TFTC.
31/07/2016 - 2.25 pm - No. 614 - 4th for the day - with dgfb33.
Headed out for a spot of finding for the potential souvenir & because it was such a nice day to be out & about. Such a change from last week when we were in the same area & when the freezing wind made our DNF on our last hunt quite acceptable!
Hmmm ... read the description ... meh ... why do that? Ok, it would have been a LOT of a help if I had actually retained what I read as we pulled up & we would have made find much quicker. Oh well, the weather wasn't shocking so that didn't really matter . dgfb was about to head back to find another tool but luckily I saved him the walk by finding it! Log duly signed & returned to it's home. Thanks for the cache!

Definitely not pearly, more like ebony but stunning gates none the less. Quick easy drive by. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
A super quick find here by Kez as we added another cache to our list.
Thanks Bounty Trackers for this placement.

Found easily as the hint is very good, hopefully I don't have to decide who to ask permission from to go further, any time soon Thanks Bounty Trackers, for the hide

After setting up camp in Warragul, it was time to check out some of the local caches - not sure that we are ready to pass thru the pearly gates, not sure that we will be allowed to enter. We did however score an encouraging, smiley face for approaching the today.
Our thanks to Bounty Trackers for bringing us to this location.

Stopped by on my way home from work to find this cache. Nice little hiding spot! TFTC
Just going back and logging all the geocaches we've found as #SEALTeam4 under my own name. TFTC
Nice cache but I'm not a fan of cemetery though.

Finished the 5km Million Paws Walk for the RSPCA and looked around for a couple of caches close by to round off the day. Wasn't quite sure what we were driving into until we reached to top of the driveway and realised what a beautiful spot it was for a final resting place. The girls noticed a memorial nearby for a young mum and said how pretty she was and that she had 2 daughters and one had the same name as Geokid 2/2.
After walking back to the gates and searching for a while, the kids were tired and Geokid 1/2 wanted to give up but getting the torch out for another look in the likely spots did the trick. While there, a large horse truck drove in and I wondered what that was doing here at this time of night. As we walked back to the car it became apparent that the horse truck had contained the husband and daughters of the woman who's memorial we had been looking at. The two little girls in jodhpurs and their dad had placed flowers on the grave of their mum, who'd died just over a year ago, while we were gone.
Needless to say this led to some quiet reflection by me on the way home and I was thankful for the lovely day we'd spent together and the memories that we'd made. I'm thankful to geocaching for getting us out more and for helping us make more memories every week, since we never know when that's all we'll have.
Thank you Bounty Trackers.

Glad there wasn't a lot of traffic today. Might want a tool for retrieval if u don't like spider webs. Worth a walk around this tranquil place with amazing views and gardens. TFTC LC
Well fortunately St Peter did not arrive in his silver Land Cruiser till after I had extracted the cache, so it was a quick duck back to the car to log it, and then we waited till he wafted off. After that we put it back and then headed off home. Luckily we did not have the key to the Pearly Gates today, phew!
TFTC cache, the scones and a great day in the country Bounty Trackers!

Once again I find myself on a caching run with Rebel Acts chasing a D4.5 puzzle FTF and a long distance multi. A great ime was had grabbing these caches. Thanks to all the CO's for their efforts. Had us going for a bit, my hand just couldn't reach it.
Our regular Wednesday geo-caching run has us heading for a day out at Drouin. Took a few minutes to find this one. Are the gates always open? Cache in good condition.
