This one took a bit more circle work to locate with the signal bouncing around and no obvious spots at first. About to give up when hey presto it was in the hand . TFTC Tankengine!
Visiting from Adelaide to see family for the festive season, and today its time to tackle more caches in the Mt Taylor area including the Adventure Lab, some puzzles solved in 2021 that I havent had a chance to get to and some challenging multis. Found this cache and signed the log. Great views from here. Many thanks for the placement and the ongoing maintenance!
Cache found ..New log signed.. steep uphill .....thankfully their was a nice breeze to cool me down along the way..Great views
Great views, not sure why the log has been shredded? But signed the biggest piece left. TFTC
I wonder if TankEngine has a warranty policy on the “views” he promises
Today I encountered a foggy mount Taylor, but I took a positive approach and thought I wouldn’t often see it this foggy.
The cache is in a magical place, and I regretted highly to not have spare logs with me
However a Good Samaritan has left a bonus paper to continue the logging.
Thanks TE for the walk. Picture of views below

Wow what a great view. Nice walk after the orienteering event and rewarded with a great view and a quick find. TFTC
Last minute decision for a drive to Canberra. Left last night after work and slept in the car near Ginninderra. This morning a few quick caches and then a Parkrun. Weather better then last night luckily. After the run slowly worked my way to central and also started to pick up some adventure labs.

Found with Just_Jess! on a stunning Saturday afternoon. Brilliant view on a trail we never would have thought to explore, with a few dozen roo friends watching on. Tried to sign the log but only had pencils so it's more of an etching. The paper is starting to crumble so may need maintenance. Left a purple unicorn pencil. TFTC
What a view! Had a few furry friends for company while getting this one. Found with Geogeneve. TFTC
GPS stopped functioning for this find, but I went to the 'obvious' spot and was rewarded.

Continued on from Xiphoid Xylophone and Grey Ghost through the scrub before finally emerging in a clearing. Hot but relieved. Another couple hundred metres and reached GZ. After a short search the cache was found exposed so completed the log and hid cache according to clue. Thanks Tankengine for encouraging this ascent.
Found at 1200 while trying to socially distance on the hill. I was in the neighbourhood waiting for my car to be serviced and hiked to the top as a way to pass the time and to avoid the crowds - or so I thought. Popular trail this!
After spending a pleasant morning reading and enjoying the view I headed back down and passed a cluster of people hanging around suspiciously in the area which piqued my curiosity so I checked the app. Cache ahoy!
Once the area was clear I had a poke around and after a short while had the cache in hand. There weren't any fresh signatures in the log so I guess whatever the other people were doing it wasn't caching.
With everything put away again neatly I strolled back down the hill, collected my car and headed for home. Thanks for the cache Tankengine.

Not sure how it has taken me so long to venture over to this point and grab the cache. So so cold up there late this afternoon with the wind blowing. Thank you for the quick cache.
For some reason this are is very picked over. Rocks have been moved all over the place. Was worried that the cache would have been lost.
But a few minutes of searching found an undisturbed spot. With cache in residence. Lovely views. Thanks TS

What a climb. When my GPSR said 600 meters to go, I didn't realise it meant altitude not distance. What I got back to the bottom, I felt great but next day knees and legs were aching. Thanks Tankenvine for the lovely views.
Out for my Wednesday after work constitutional to regain fitness after knee replacement surgery.
Great cache.
Great afternoon!
I am Grumpy!

Found after a few minutes of searching on a lovely winter's day ramble around Mt Taylor. Thank you!
Another found with the geokid who pondered long and hard as to weather or not she'd swap anything. In the end no swap, but happy she found it nonetheless.

The start of clearing Mount Taylor happened today. Using the advantage of a public holiday. We spent around 4 hours walking up and down the mountain. Until we had to stop.
Nice spot here Tankengine. The views are amazing and the cache was easily found as well We enjoyed the great views as much as we could until dooming ourselves with the next cache. Geocache was found and in good condition. Thanks Tankengine!!!

Visiting a few of my childhood stomping grounds (hardly recognised Mt Taylor with so many trees on it ) and didn’t bring a pen/cil.
Thanks for the cache, Tankengine.
Will call back in another couple years with a pen to record in the log.

Finally summer is back, so it seemed like a good idea to climb a mountain, and earn some caches. So we grabbed the hound, jumped in the car, and headed over to Mt Taylor. It's been a while since I've been here, and I'd forgotten about how steep it can be in places - but today I was surely reminded.
The top at last! - well, almost, and some fabulous views - just like every other hill and mountain in Canberra. The cache was quickly located and the log signed, then it was time to sit for a while and enjoy a completely different view from the last cache.
This is cache number 12 my goal of finding 500 Tankengine caches, which put's Tankengine in
second for the most caches of a particular cacher that I've found - but, still, a loooong way to go to 500.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache Tankengine.

A fun day climbing up and down and around Mt. Taylor with Joolay, MinnieK, GLISS!, Fitzy_1965, and Tank engine (who came along for the walk, to check his caches).
TFTC - can't remember why I didn't do this the same day as I did #1 ... Maybe I left it as an excuse to walk up here again

Out and about today with Joolay, GLISS! and AyKayEm to tackle Mt Taylor.....accompanied by fitzy_1965 & Tankengine.
Glad to be at the top. Easy find after checking out the trig.

Was up here with a bunch of cachers, and noticed that although OK - the container was on its last legs... So replaced the container and added a new log. Old log attached.
Today was the day to tackle Mt Taylor. I had done a few on the other side but now for the main lot. In the company of MinnieK, GLISS, Fitzy_1965 (who already has most of them), Aykayam and Tankengine (who joined for the walk and to check on his caches) we set out up the hill. The sun was shining, there was a lovely breeze now we were over the other side and great company. Cache was not too difficult and soon found, signed and returned. Thanks for getting us out and about TE.
Puff puff puff. Fourth quick find in a row on a race for one around the mountain today.
Quickly taking in the views as I go, but today it is mostly about the exercise. Got to get in shape for more serious caching business next weekend!

Such a cold wind this morning run! Stopped to grab this cache and enjoy the view. TFTC
I bush-bashed up from Sulwood - took 55 minutes. Strong, cool breeze up here - great views. Tftc
Found with LAG2006 on a nice Saturday arvo. Admired the view while signing the log. TFTC
Found on April 29 2018 and Feb 17 2019. Forgot to log original find . Found a second time withMaris4 on a Sunday morning walk. Thanks
Mt Taylor was the target of our groups todays walk. This cache was close enough to grab.
The views are surely great

Finally nearing the top of Mount Taylor, coming up a non-recommended way up the side off the hill and through scrub. Was nice to see a clearing around this cache!
Was a quick find here, and some really awesome views to the south. The cache could use with a little bit of TLC, it isn't in horrible condition, but it could use a freshen up. The container is becoming slightly brittle and has cracked in one corner, but doesn't seem to be doing much damage yet. The official logbook is also full, however someone has added a spare logbook which was ok to sign.
Thanks Tankengine! No rush in terms of maintenance, but when you get a chance it could do with a refreshment

Waramanga dog walk. Spotted this one quickly just behind a plastic cow among the rocks. A hint or was it meant to be in the cache? Left it in the cache anyway. Great views. Thanks.
Just a little bit of a wander uphill from McPhan's half century and lo, there's another cache, and another nice view!
TFTC, Tankengine!

Thanks for the cache and for bringing us up this way. Made a nice quick find. The log is pretty full and a bit damp but there’s space to sign in the margins.
4 hours up, around and down Mt Taylor, all in a early Sunday mornings cache hunt. Nippy to start but when the sun broke the over the trees it was just the wind that kept reminding me that it was still Winter. Great views back down and over to the Brindies. TNLNSL TFTC
Found while visiting Mt Taylor with Ellrav. Nice views from here and after searching around, finally found a pile that look like a suitable location for a cache. Thanks for yet another cache Tankengine.
There were many piles of rocks to choose from, but we found it in the end! Found with legocacher. TFTC!
