Logs

Had a feeling where it was straight away awesome container. Log was complete mush ! Put a new piece of paper in there but unsure of how long itll be dry for. TFTC

23-Oct-24
found it!! log is too wet to sign though!

27-Sep-24
We searched around underneath the bridge found nothing.

15-Sep-24
Going geocaching further out in Melbourne today, the path was flooded, not sure if you need to climb on the rocks but too wet to try

11-Sep-24
Found it

26-Aug-24
Log was too soggy to sign, but awesome hide, thanks to the CO!

21-Aug-24
I've had my eye on this one for a while. It's on my main route from work, so it only made sense to stop and grab it when the time was right. A second attempt at stopping here. I found the best parking to be in a short side street. A quick walk from there after a brief period of rain meant mud, mud and more mud. I managed to get up and down and under, but noticed the lack of log. I went back to the car and tore off a scrap of paper for a temporary fix. Apologies for it not being waterproof. Hopefully this can be a good substitute for a little while. TFTC

19-Aug-24
It would be appreciated if the next finder can replace the log paper. If not I will have to take it off-line until we return from an extended holiday in several weeks time.

19-Aug-24

06-Jul-24
Thank took a long time, but I got there

06-Jul-24
A very clever hide and container; very glad I brought the six foot tall son along, because I would have had trouble. The log is very wet!TFTC!

23-Jun-24
Couldnt find it after looking for 30 mins.

23-Jun-24
First cache!

21-Jun-24
21 June 2024 4:51pmAfter finding the previous cache and still having so.e time before meeting up with friends tonight, I thought why not go and grab another sneaky cache before heading over. So noticing this had a higher amount of favourite points I decoded to head over to this one. Finding a quick park on the other side of the road, I navigated to GZ and quickly spotted this cleverly hidden cache. Thanks for the cache and the little pre dinner cache!

16-Jun-24
Found with Eudes and slacas. We almost gave up on this one as the end of our bushwalk and the post-walk BBQ were starting to call. We were about to move on through the muddy, slippery tunnel when Eudes made the find. Have seen this sort before but still earned a fave point from us.thanks 2rascals

16-Jun-24
By now, I'd well and truly caught the others and even though the barbie was getting close, we decided to stop for a look for this one. Despite 3 of us looking in all 'likely' spots, we still had no log to sign. 2upoj was pretty insistent as to its location however and just as the statement "that's about it" rang out, I tried one final location which revealed the stash with its soggy log at 14:20.As we all signed to log, we wondered how a container like that could possibly allow water to get in. Oh well, on to the post-walk snags. Big GrinTNLNSL. Thanks 2rascals.

15-Jun-24
Found fairly easily. Too easily as it was on the ground, presumably not where it should be! Very nicely constructed container. As others pointed out, the log is soaking wet - but I managed to sign it anyway and then I replaced it in a spot where I logically thought it should be.A quick message to the cache owner confirmed it was the right spot to put it back. Great hide (for the next person who finds it and TFTC)

10-Jun-24
Found it. Log is soaked, but still a satisfying find! Tftc

24-May-24
Just found it on our arvo walk with MartySprinkles. Our first geocache, super excited!! Couldnt log on the sheet as pen has run out of ink and the sheet is sodden. Needs a good airing out. Very thrilling, would recommend!!

17-May-24
Another cache that I made WAY harder than it needed to be. But, eventually it was found, logged, and signed. GPS was off slightly, but I think a lack of geosenses was the main problem today haha.

15-May-24
Just a quick trip down South for Mums 80th birthday. To fill in some time thought I would head out with CaptainKirky for a quick find, well thought it was going to be a quick find. Was just about to give up on this one due to the time I had left of the day when I found it, just a heads up the coordinates is a bit out.

06-May-24
Nice hide. Log is a bit soggy.

02-May-24
I guessed correctly and found in the first spot I looked. That doesnt always happen with clever hides like this, so pretty happy especially as it was starting to get very dark. Log sheet very wet but managed to sign.

11-Apr-24
Area flooded, couldnt proceed. Will have to try again

07-Feb-24

23-Jan-24
Streak Day 23/366After dropping one of the geo-daughters off for a reffing lesson at the nearby State Basketball Centre, we ducked over to this cache to continue our streak. Parked at the recommended parking place, took a nice leisurely stroll over towards GZ where the cache was quickly found!Tftc 2rascals

22-Jan-24
Out in the Eastern suburbs today, we enjoyed a stroll along this section with the recent flooding having receded sufficiently to access the cache without muddy feet. No fishing pole needed for this hide, but we did admire the construction. TFTC.

17-Jan-24
Easy find

16-Jan-24
No wonder there are so many favourite tags on this!

09-Jan-24
No entry today. A little flooded out

This has been on the hit list for a while. I had a pretty good idea where the hide was. Nicely hidden and well constructed It Pays to be tall I like look down things before the fingies go wondering into black holes, TFTC!

29-Sep-23
Stopped in here on the way back from Jells Park. Searched everywhere. Vegetation. Road barrier. Under the bridge itself though the coords were 20m away. Nothing there. Floodwaters have receded but have possibly taken the cache with them

16-Aug-23
We trudged through the mud, then Steve went Up, Down & Under, while I stayed on the path with the dog we are currently minding. Not having any luck, we swapped, so Up I went and after another fruitless search, we took a seat and read through the logs.

All credit goes to Steve for finding this excellent hidden cache.

Thank you 2rascals for the fun and testing our patience. It paid off:)

06-Jul-23
TFTC. Quick find given the GPS was right on the GZ which limited options of where the cache could be. Giddy up

04-Jul-23
Thanks for the cache. Nicely hidden!

04-May-23
Attempting this in the dark on my own wasn't my best or brightest idea but I still gave it a good shot! The underpass was super muddy and given I had braved the dark sketchy spot on my own I was determined to make the find on the other side. But no such luck tonight... over half an hour spent wandering and climbing and searching until the falling bark on nearby trees was causing me too much stress and creeped me out enough to make me leave haha!
I'll be back I'm sure!

04-Mar-23
Last time I was here, it was super flooded. I vowed to return, and today was the day. This is a clever hide in a brilliant container.

17-Jan-23
#22 we were about to quit and then I was like oh check here and we found it TFTC did it with @tambodog

30-Dec-22

Clever hide, really liked this one, TFTC

18-Dec-22
Must be blind. Watch the small nasty prickles

10-Dec-22
We had a baseball game across the road. The temptation was too strong and I quickly escaped to find this cache.

22-Nov-22
Really cool container. Despite the flooded area, we were determined to find this one. What an inventive cache!! We struggled with the coords so put the phones away and put our caching skills to use

20-Nov-22
Area is still flooded

17-Nov-22
In Melbourne to attend the Mega at Whittlesea with tmann421.
Enjoyed the short trip around locating a few caches before heading to the event

Thanks to the cache owners for the efforts with the hides

17-Nov-22
Arrived in Melbourne to attend the MEGA Event at Whittlesea with woolwood9.
We came over a few days before to do some geocaching in the area first!

ww9 and I had a great time and this was a cache we located.
Very nice hide, walkway under bridge totally flooded, however cache location is good and everything is nice and dry!

*Thank you for helping to show us around different areas and adding to our enjoyment*

27-Oct-22
Could not find on the 26th October 2022. It had been raining and the flood level indicator for under the bridge/road said 1.5 to 2 meters. Maybe this is why it was a DNF for me. Oh well, next time I'm in Vic I'll have to try and check it off then

03-Sep-22
That was fun!

28-Aug-22
Fun to search around and an interesting hiding spot. TFTC Smile

01-Aug-22

03-Jul-22
Good

02-Jul-22
This one made for a fun adventure. After lots of climbing we quickly had cache in hand. TFTC

29-Jun-22
Good place to hide a cache, but before you go and look for it make sure that the road under the bridge wasn’t flooded. Didn’t find it today but will be back to look for it later

23-Jun-22
A great creative one !

Was in the second spot I looked.

09-Apr-22
Ingenious hiding spot - though GPS could be slightly more accurate

24-Mar-22
I was in the area on a bus driving job to the sports centre nearby, so I headed out to find a few caches.
This one took me way longer than it should have owing to having a very cursory check of where it could be and feeling nothing.
After a fruitless search of other locations, and reading a few previous logs, I returned and checked again only to have the face palm moment as my fingers closed on a very neatly constructed and hidden container.
I do appreciate a good hand made cache, so a FP from me.

02-Mar-22
GPS was slightly off. After searching where the GPS suggested to no avail, we broadened our search radius and sure enough the cache was where we expected. Very clever hide. Tftc

28-Jan-22
Great spot Smile

08-Jan-22
Holey moley, snorkel and goggles needed. It was flooded. I decided against swimming to the cache. I shall return.

26-Dec-21
Took the whole family out to help and we looked everywhere but couldn’t find it ;-;

Will come back

26-Dec-21
Very cool hide. Best one so far! I’m a beginner and took my family out and they all insisted on signing the logbook. Thank you! Was a great day out

14-Dec-21
Out for a ride. I’ve been prevented from going under this bridge many times due to flooding.

28-Nov-21
Easy but creative one, TFTC

14-Nov-21
That took me way too long to find haha

31-Oct-21
Hmmm...

21-Oct-21
Smartest one for me so far

17-Oct-21
DNF

18-Sep-21
Bit tricky, had to come twice. But very ingenious.

02-Sep-21
This was our second attempt. The gps was very accurate. It was a good geocache, glad we came back!

27-Aug-21
Phew! Found this one on my third attempt.

On my first two attempts (one recorded as a DNF; the other one on the day before this third attempt not recorded) I had made what were really quite rudimentary attempts. On the first occasion I spent a little time, but had an idea in my head that was simply wrong and prevented me looking where I should. The second time was much the same, but also hampered by leaving myself not enough time for anything other than the briefest of looks.

After the second attempt my mind kept going back to one particular place, which I had not investigated properly. The more I thought about it, the more I thought it must be the right spot. Reading every single previous log helped affirm this, but none of them contained any real hints, just some cryptic comments that generally lined up with my thoughts. So with a new idea in my head I finished my work day and hopped on the bike for a visit (this cache fortunately lying just within my five kilometre radius).

Just as I arrived at the descent point a group of cyclists merged into my path and I let them go ahead (only partly out of my usual courtesy!). I parked the bike and began exploring. My first exploration proved fruitless and I began thinking another failure lay ahead. But I persisted with my same idea and a little bit of persistence paid off. It was a huge relief to have the container in my hand (and without the huntsman spider mentioned in previous logs). I did slightly surprise a pair of passing walkers, but they paid me no particular mind.

This does deserve a favourite point - clever, very appropriate and suitably well hidden. TFTC Smile

22-Aug-21
Had a good feeling about one particular location and it proved right. Nice container.

22-Aug-21
Nice hide -- could have taken a while, but geo-sense kicked in. Thank you for the hide!

06-Aug-21
Very nice

27-Jul-21
Great hiding place go with ondalookout hint

23-Jul-21
Best geo cache i have seen, a handful of fun didnt have to go through the floodwaters. No chance of the cache getting flooded either.

08-Jun-21
Could not find.

02-Apr-21
One of those days... I attempted five caches today and found three (and two of them only just before giving up). I'm sure this one is much easier than I made it for myself - probably a case of overthinking and/or having too fixed an idea of what I was looking for. I shall just have to try another day...

06-Mar-21
I had a feeling I knew where it was, but initially trusted the GPS. Thankfully the geocaching senses kicked in and I found the well crafted cache. Thank you for bringing me here. TFTC TAD

17-Feb-21
didn’t find, will be back
