Thanks for bringing me here on a beautiful morning. . I plan to get at least one cache a day for the next five days while I am in your town. TFTC.

An awesome start to the morning with this beautiful stroll. Information was obtained and the cache located. Not much of a view from these 1930's concrete seats ..

Today's target was an event in Castlemaine followed by some caching, Ad Labs and some scouting around. After the event, micaparamedic and I set off for a few caches, although he had already done them. A nice little multi. Thanks Jejon for creating for us all to enjoy. --------------------------------------------------------The nominees for the [**2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/2023-victorian-cache-of-the-year-awards/) have been announced. An unusual situation for us instead of being in lovely warm Queensland we are hiding around cold old Victoria. Medical reasons and caravan repairs have us staying here and we will be looking forward to finding as many caches as possible while we are here. SL TFTC

I had been in Castlemaine today and being in no hurry to arrive home in the middle of Melbourne's evening peak period traffic, I spent a little time looking for caches before *hitting the highway*.

I needed a Multi today for a challenge I am slowly completing and decided that this was the best choice late in the day. The information required was easily collected... and with GZ worked out, it was an easy walk to the cache.

Thanks **Jejon** for placing this cache.

27-Apr-23
An early start before returning to Melbourne. Out for a quick walk and onto the pillar to start. Maths sorted and into the GPSr for a final that matches the distance. Off we went and soon arrive and at GZ. TFTC

Our first find in Castlemaine, being in the area for some familial events. On the way up there was a woman doing yoga in the early morning sun. The cache was all good and found quickly thanks to the hint. Muchas gracias for the fun multi and hide. Took nothing and left nothing.

Having finished work for the day in Ballarat I thought to myself why not go out and camp the night somewhere and run an event in Bendigo. We'll with that all planned I decided to make a weekend of it. Exploring parts of the state I hadn't visited before today I had a great time driving around and can't wait to be back again. Thanks for the cache and the little adventure.

We scaled back our walk hopes today from 2 hoursish to 10 minutes according to Google Maps. But what a walk it was - anticline, Burke & Wills, and finishing here at Kalimna Pt. Maybe they could cut down some of the trees blocking the view, but that hasn’t been a popular option since WWII I’d guess. The numbers were easy even if we couldn’t see the places of interest, and the cache found instantly. Thanks Jejon

Find #10429

After the nearby event, I headed into town to find coffee and breakfast. I had spent my spare time this past week solving the 3 puzzle caches in the area, so I was determined to find them while I was here as well as a few others nearby.

Always love to do a good multi, one with a view is even better. Surprised Managed to gather the info without a problem, Big Grin but once at GZ, took a bit of time to locate until I eventually expanded the search and found the neatly hidden container. Razz

Many thanks to Jejon for the cache. TNLN.

Big things are continuing to happen! *Are you joining the fun again in 2019?*

Was in the area a little early for the event that is happening today. This is one of the ones that we managed to get done. Enjoy doing a multi that is interesting as this was. Thanks for the cache and bringing us here.

Spending the Easter weekend in Castlemaine and Bendigo so managed to get out early morning and grab a few caches. This was our final morning in town and I didn't have much time as I waned to get back before our youngest was up for the easter egg hunt. I planned to go to a trad nearby but a long list of DNFs made me think it wasn't worth trying so I headed up here. I had the place to myself at 7.30am on Easter Sunday morning so I was soon able to collect the required information and leaving the car where it was I headed off to GZ. There I was rewarded with a quick find of the well concealed cache. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the multi cache and for bringing me up here Jejon. I collected a few steps for another multi nearby that I will store for next time.

We got to the starting place and soon had GZ. We went to GZ not far away and Mrs Piuquet was worried she had the coords wrong. Mr Piuquet found it quickly. Signed and replaced. TFTC

Back in the Maine - there are just so many new caches here, since we lived in Bendigo. We found this one before heading to Blackwood for a very special geo-birthday.
Kalimna- another area of Castlemaine familiar to H-P as it is where she spent most of her childhood.

Satellites today had our GZ 7 metres SSW of where we found the cache.

Thanks to 'Jejon' for placing this cache on the geo-gameboard.

We are doing some caches in Castlemaine. As we are here to buy some Castlemaine Rock. We fell in love with that stuff on our last caching trip here. When we did the Castlemaine rocks multi
After doing the nearby letterbox it was this ones turn this one was fun and in a beautiful spot this was a strange spot to find a bird bath
With Zedaycee and Angelique Anja.

03-Sep-17
We came out to Castlemaine for some father's Day caching, well, that's what we told Zedaycee, but it was really so we could buy some Castlemaine rock!

Anyway as we headed out for a multi in the area we spotted the letterbox and decided to do that too, but then it was time to turn our attention back to the multi!

We were off to catch another smiley! The cache was easily found... But what an odd location to find a bird bath...

Find #1267 for me. I stopped by here today on a mini-road-trip south of Bendigo where I live. With cooler temperatures and overcast skies, it was the perfect day to be out. After gathering the information needed I made my way to GZ and it wasn't long before I found your well-hidden cache. The container, log-book and contents were all in good condition. This cache also contributes to the Multicache Monthly Challenge this month which I'm attempting, so a special thanks for placing this multicache at this great location Jejon!

My caching calendar has been pretty poor recently, so with less than 12 hours left in the year, i have improved my count a little bit.
Multis are one of those things people tend to avoid for some reason, but I try to find them when I can. As i was in the area, I could hardly leave it unfound.
I did manage to set off in completely the wrong direction, but met a lovely dog on his walk, so that was good. Once on the right track, found quickly, behind a botanically inappropriate but perfectly good piece of camouflage.
Happy new year! 31 December 2016

After spending the day caching from Maryborough , we finally hit Castlemaine where we enjoyed a variety of hides and cache types in the town and outlying bushland. The hot day had turned into a lovely evening making caching conditions a lot more bearable, especially as the 4X4 air-conditioning wasn't working!
Thanks Jejon for showing us this lovely area , especially the wildflowers and for the cache.

Found together with Schlauchen during our 3 weeks vacation in Australia.

Here in Castlemaine from Ocean Grove to visit Margaret, the sister of our "adoptive australian grandmum" Annie.
After the letterbox we couldn't skip this multi, especially an offset one is usually easy and nice to add at your own statistics. Coordinates were precise and Schlauchen found the cache quickly. Barry was amazed about this hideout.

TFTC and greetings from Italy.

Found it together with ravestorm on vacation in Australia!

Having completed the letterbox at the pavillon, we couldn't leave without doing this short offset multi cache as well. Especially ravestorm is interested in that, there's a challenge cache in Nuremberg, Germany, for which he still has to do 20 multis to be eligible to log it.

Coords were on spot and soon we had the box in our hands. (more precisely, I found it). Muggle Barry was amazed about how well caches can be disguised.

We headed to Kalimna Point early this morning (yes, there was frost on the ground) to attempt this and another cache. The data for this cache was collected quickly from WP1 and the coordinates for GZ calculated. Then it was off to GZ. We were a little apprehensive as we headed to GZ because there was evidence of an extensive cleanup. However, all was well and accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks lejon for an enjoyable multi.

Found by Team Ninja 17/07/16, find number 865.
I was working at the tourist railway in Castlemaine today and went for a caching trip in the three + hour gap between the morning and afternoon train.
This was the seventh find for today. I really enjoyed the walk through the bush. As I was gaining the information at the listed coordinates, I couldn't help but think that I'd done this one before, but I wasn't sure if I'd forgotten to log it or if I'd DNF'd it. As I arrived at GZ it all came back and I remembered my previous extensive search for the cache, which was in vain!
With a fresh perspective today I soon spied the cache - I'm really not sure how I missed it last time!!!
TFTC! Very Happy

Thankyou for drawing our attention to the wet logbook and misleading clue. We have put a new container and log in. The clue has also been amended.

Away on geocache weekend to Bendigo with diana8 and JulesC21. Our goal is to find 30 multis in the month of June. This was number 8 for the weekend. This cache was a quick grab, and although it's generally in good condition, the log is completely soaked through. Also, we all thought that the cache is a fair bit above ground level. Thanks for bringing me here, it's interesting to imagine what this park might have one looked like in its heyday. TFTC.

11-Jun-16
Nice to be brought off the beaten track a little bit and see a part of Castlemaine that we might not normally see. Mistermagee, julesc21 and I had to hunt around a bit for the cache and I question the clue that it is at ground level - for a giant perhaps! Log book was completely sodden, and needs replacing. Found after doing a nearby cache and it was a simple case of grabbing a few numbers and then heading over to the gz to make a quick find. I thought that the gz might of been disturbed by the recent pine tree clearing but the cache was soon spotted in the open but untampered with. After signing the log I rehid it a little better with a little natural cover, thanks Jejon for the cache.

Found with Mrs Tyred n Cranky

After doing the Fryers Trail and a couple of random caches on the way back to Castlemaine.
We done a couple of quick grab in town before heading home. After getting the required numbers and while doing the long drive around, we soon had the numbers counting down to GZ. it was great to see a good sized cache hidden and well stocked with goodies.
