Please help! We left our small plastic box containing a Thermos, coffee plunger, coffee, and cups on our camper trailer when we left this place. If any geocachers are coming to Coober Pedy and have found our box, please return it to us at the Old Timers Mine camping area. Didn't manage to find the cache.
Day two of the road trip to Coober PedyGot away quite early, for me, from Port Augusta but due to a slight fuelling mistake only found three caches before fuelling at Pimba then checking in at Woomera. Got up to Andamooka for the AdLab there and all the nearby physical caches before heading back to Woomera for the two AdLabs there. A nice number of mainly traditionals were found on the way and this was one of the ones I wanted.Spent a while looking and thinking before deciding to trust the DT ratings, and my less than maximum height, and made the find. Always nice to be first in a fresh log, and thee was one for each of us Thanks to Freddo and Tadpoles for adding to the playing field with this cache.Smilie #15116.*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*
Day 2 of our 5day trip to Coober Pedy. This is a fun trip for SA Sewer Rats and ttrogg. This took a little longer than it should have to find. This is a busy place for muggles.Ttrogg found the cache. We stamped the log and replaced as found. Tftc
As we now begin to head north this rest stop was a lunch break. Found easily when we increased our height a little. TFTC
This took a bit longer, I'm a tad vertically challenged, had to wait for hubby to come over and access the cache. Great views TFTC
Unable to find this one. It was way too windy and cold. The warmth of the car was calling too hard. Hint was confusing.
Little bit of searching around, got a bit too stuck with the hint! Great views, almost home now!
We're bound for Roxby Downs and dropped by for a leg stretch and to grab a cache. Amazing views... but we struggled to find the cache. I resorted to climbing up and soon spotted it in a place we'd already checked. Tftc
Found other day with meggsydogs on the way to ayres rock, forgot to log it then.quick park n grab thanks.
Together with Travelser I'm going Down Under. We are driving around with a motorhome. Started on the 17th September in Cairns. Our plan is driving.along the eastcoast down. Then in the south on to Adelaide and from there ending the 31th October in Alice Springs.During our trip we of course search for several caches. Most of them brought us to very nice spots, like this one.All the CO's, and in this case Freddo, thanks for bringing us here and give our trip a special accent.
On my roundtrip along Australia with Oopie we are douing always some caches.Today we ware on the way from Adelaide to Alice Springs and we did a few nice caches.CO thanks for bringing us on this nice place and make this cache.
Found by The Empire + HThe journey from Port Augusta to Coober Pedy was an adventure like no other. As we left the coastal town behind, we ventured deep into the heart of the Australian outback. The landscape unfolded before us, a vast canvas of red earth and desert scenery. The rich, rusty-red soil seemed to stretch endlessly in all directions. It was a stark contrast to the lush greenery we had left behind, and it felt like we were driving on another planet. Occasional low-lying vegetation and solitary gum trees punctuated the horizon, offering a brief respite from the barren terrain.Another quick stop - good chance to get some photos of the information boards too. Thanks for the cache Freddo and Tadpoles.- M
Sometime even *we* get lucky. The hint had meaning once we found the cache, which luckily materialised in the second place I put my hand. This gave us much more time to shoo away the 300-odd flies that had swarmed us while reading the information boards. Thanks Freddo.
Found Tues 25.07.2023 but due to works in the area, my comment didn’t post. Found on our trek to Coober Pedy. Stopped to stretch the legs and refresh for the next part of our journey! TFTC ️
Second time past here in 5 years. Remembered to look this time.Bring your stilts if short.
Working our way home from a tour at Maralinga with a group of cachers, mainly from South Australia. Now there is only Geoturtle37, Team Crackers, Micaparamedic and myself. We are having a great time, visiting new, remote locations and finding caches as we go.This was a nice quick find. Thanks for placing this cache and bringing us here.
Have been past here numerous times. This trip we managed to score a smiley. Required a bit more than a stretch. TFTC SL
Back on the road with the tour group and made a stop at this beautiful look out. Eventually found the cache.

So much respect for the settlers and pioneers who travelled ahead so we can travel, explore and find caches here in the outback. So much to read and less time to find the cache because we are on a grouptour with Intrepid. Luckily Hippie03 read some logs and then we know were to search exactly. Wifey got all gymnastic and got the cache out. Meanwhile the tour leader was asking if she was searching for spiders TFTC
A trip to Perth checking out some of the awesome places along the way in ACT, NSW, Qld and NT. Grabbing some old caches and missing LGAs. TFTC.
I had to get my TOTT out of the car for this one. Finally managed.

Definitely great views. Glad I had GH to assist with getting this one!
GreyHams and myself set out on a three day SA caching trip after a super early start to the first day. The best start really though as by 9am and two planes later we had landed in Port Lincoln and into our rental car ready to set off! Local Government areas were our primary target, although many others of interest made the list, oldies, types and DT... Each offered some unique and often spectacular location, if your cache made our list, thank you!
Day 1 saw us landing in Port Lincoln and caching our way up towards Ceduna, a long but productive day saw us driving into Port Augusta just on dark a solid 12 hours after we had set off on the road.
Day 2 and we made the drive north from Port Augusta where we were based for the trip. The scenery on the drive to Roxby Downs changed often from little salt bush plains, shrub, salt lakes and to the amazing vast flat and empty, I loved the vast flat views... always spotting something in the middle of all the nothingness. Emus featured in huge numbers often, red dirt appeared... something I have been seeking so it was great to see it and finally get my feet into it all! Back into Port Augusta we set off for a loop in the south of the Flinders towards Quorn and out to Orroroo before returning just as the sun set to collect the last pizzas just as the shop shut for the day.
Day 3 was our last but just as full, although we only needed to get to Port Lincoln for our plane home late in the day we had many caches of interest plus a few walks along the way so took most of the day to make the distance leaving the odd cache off as we watched the clock!
Each day was full of such varied scenery, all quite stunning in their own way and led to a very enjoyable and fun trip. Thank you for your cache that guided us through the area and helped to highlight some of the great locations we got to visit.

Aquilus1 & myself on yet another caching mission into South Australia, this time it was to go out west to collect all the LGA's out there.
This area of South Australia is so interesting as you can drive and be in a completely different planet within an hour. Red gums, to mallee scrub, to saltbush, to nothingness and then back again!
STarting and finishing in Port Lincoln, but with Port Augusta as our main base we explored the Eyre Peninsula, east out to Ororroo and north to Roxby Downs. It was a short but fun little trip. Thanks to all the CO's for placing caches

My range of views are slightly restricted today due to low clouds and showers of rain but that just added to the experience.

Together with my favorite geocacher Milonguera we traveled to Australia We went to Melbourne via Singapore and from there we explore the south, the center and the east coast.
We walked around Melbourne and had a nice meet & greet event. Than we visited Philip Island with the pinguins and the Great Ocean Road. We fed and petted kangaroos We drove to Adelaide, visited the koalas and continued north.
**Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for showing the location and for hiding the cache. You should come to Berlin in Germany to find a lot of interesting geocaches, visit lost places in the surrounding Brandenburg and meet nice people at many events.
I wish you a lot of fun and great adventures while searching for the next geocache!**
Ich bedanke mich bei Freddo and Tadpoles für den Cache, das Zeigen dieses Ortes, das Legen und Pflegen der Dose und den Spaß beim Finden! Thanks for the cache!

On our travels we stopped to grab this cache, it took longer than it should have but when read other logs we had the prize in hand, log signed and popped back safely, thanks for placing this cache
The three of us were heading north, and we stopped here for a rest break and a cache.
Mr Tardis found the cache in the first place he felt - don't you just love it when that happens? Out of reach for Teen Tardis. The logs had been wet, but have dried out now.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Freddo and Tadpoles.

Up early to do a day trip to Woomera with iluvtrekking. Stopped at this rest bay with 6 caravans taking a brake. Lucky we had a chippy with us who caught on straight away. Log book is saturated. Thanks for the hide.
A nice spot for a quick stop, read the signs and grab a cache. Thanks for the hide.
Sir_spectre and I went on a long overdue holiday to the Northern Territory. We had some great experiences and saw some amazing natural wonders. Not all went to plan - covid closures, flood effected roads, renovations, hot weather, some car troubles and not forgetting the huge jump in fuel costs
Any caches that needed repairs were fixed and numeous logs were replaced or added too.
Thanks to Freddo from mogni

Stopped grabbed a cache and grabbed a drink out of the fridge. quick find.
Mogni and myself went to the Northern Territory for a 10 day holiday. We drove 5478 km's in those 10 days. The plan was to go up the Sturt highway and then go via Ayers Rock, King's Canyon and then through to Alice Springs stopping at the gorges/chasm/gaps along the way. As you can expect nothing goes to plan. Day 1 Adelaide to Cooper Pedy, made it just before the Roxby Downs turn off and blow the side wall on the tire of the 4x4, 193 km detour just to get a tire and even then it was the second tire place that had the tire the correct size. We had camels come in to the campsite in Erldunda Roadhouse, they even left hoof prints 1/2 a foot from the tent, at King's Canyon we had dingo's come through the camp ground both nights we where there and at Alice springs we had a mouse move in under the tent in their campground. Some of the aboriginal towns we passed where in lock down because of covid 19 so no going in to get fuel there, that changed some plans. The floods where way worse up in Northern Territory than i realized. Some creeks/rivers i could see the debris over 2 meters from the river bed and down one 4x4 track it washed the road away completely, the hole was 3/4 the length of the 4x4 and over 6 foot deep. The temp was 33 to 36 for 9 of the 10 days and finally cooled down for the drive home. We got 7 different caches types in the N.T. plus every different cache size. It was a good trip but not the one we planned. To many of the roads in the N.T. where damaged and not repaired ( still closed ) so that cancelled plan A but that's just a excuse to come back isn't it. Come back and see what you missed last time when the roads are fixed. We came with 19 regular " geocaching size " containers and a milk crate of small containers by day 7 all the regulars where used as replaced caches and by day 8 the smalls where gone. It was the UV rays a lot more than the floods that killed the caches and almost all the log books where saved, the micro containers seemed to have constantly full log sheets so they where replaced too.

After traipsing around Western Queensland for 4 1/2 weeks then having to head to Northern Territory to try and get back home that way due to border closures.
I had one of my many permits that I applied for over the course of the last week and I made the NT, SA at 6am and headed straight to Woomera after doing about 830kms.
Settled in at the caravan park had a few beers and some tea.
Got up early hooked up the van and spent the early morning finding all of the caches in Woomera then to continue my journey south towards Quorn which is my next stop.
Nothing like towing a caravan into a 40km head wind, I’m just watching the fuel gauge go down rapidly.
One lot just finishing their lunch and packing up so I soon had the spot to myself.
This one took a bit to find and after reading a few of the logs I was on tippy toes and soon had the cache in hand.
I just want this wind to stop.
Thanks Freddo and Tadpoles TFTC.
