Not been in this park for awhile! And 10 years at the Wild Dog end!Don't know why I didn't stop here 10 years ago! Maybe I did, and didn't log it online? lolTNLNSL Thanks
Nice walk through the scrub out to find this one, despite it being 40 degrees, I found the cache nicely tucked away and is all goodWith a few days off I headed over to the northern Eyre peninsula for a 2 night stay in Whyalla, my main aim for the few days was the FITG and the FTF trail plus finding a few caches here and there along the way. Just under 300 caches found for the trip. Thanks for the cache
Meeting my geosister H423L in Whyalla to do some caching Love strolling in these parks Kangaroos to be seen TFTC
A nice quick find while strolling through the park. A weekend in Whyalla with Hellyonfire enjoying the weather and the caching. TFTC
The JAMS team were on a road trip to Kyancutta for the JLWEvent and we had a few target caches, Virtuals, Adventure Labs and other random caches that we passed along the way.
Decided to come into the park and find a few caches before heading in to Whyalla and our accommodation. A quick find here while we were in the area.
Thanks for the cache wombat33.

One last day for now around Whyalla, the steel city, home of the rusty mint tin...
and found a few clever caches too
Another day of exploring places we otherwise may not have been!
Came to your cache along the way
A brisk walk and a view was had.
Much thanks to wombat33 for placing and maintaining this cache on our SA geo game map
---
Searching with Purrfect Di and Jack the Monkey, finding and signing cache logs alone or with family and friends using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck Plenty of that luck stuff actually!!!
*Logs are composed and published using GSAK of course.*
A couple of maintenance assist tasks on the trail caches too. Looked like there had been some extreme weather since we were here last... oh yep, the floods the day after we left!!!
---
Caching is a hazardous activity!
Keep a lookout for sand traps, snakes, surprise cliffs, boxing roos, wombats, bulldust, and floods,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for any old bugs from alpha to omega !!! . [xx(]
Try to keep Travel Bugs as the only bugs you share and pass on
Now everything's opening more - even more important to sanitise and safely distance!!!
Really good of all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting
Thanks heaps for reading all this addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere, apparently! You win a virtual smile for the effort and getting to the end of the log

The Non Wangaratta Event Tour 2021!
Covid has postponed the Mega in Victoria until January but leave had been granted for AnyMules to attend with me and Bushfire. So Anymules and I went on a tour to Eyre Peninsular and mid north South Australia instead whilst Bushfire joined us in spirit only as covid meant he couldn't come here either. Not needing anything for my yearly goals I hoped I didn't add too many to the DNFs [B)]
Day 3: Exploring around the outskirts of Whyalla.
Anymules had already found Mulga Madness so after we walked to Tumbleweed Connection he returned the geo mobile and drove around and walked into this cache. [^]
Meanwhile I set out on foot cross country to Mulga Madness and then onto here to meet up with him again. He beat me and already had the cache in hand when I arrived. Now for the shorter walk back to the geo mobile.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks wombat33 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***
Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

I drove round the edge of the park to get to this one while my caching buddy did the walk from the Tumbleweed Connection to the old Alex cache I had previously already found to this one. It didn’t take him too much longer than it took me.

Followed the semi defined track for as long as we could, then it was bush bashing time. TFTC.
Full time nomads since 2013. Still tootling around the country trying to avoid Covid hotspots.
Back in SA for harvest work. Heading to Port Pirie but 4 days ahead of schedule so a quick detour to Whyalla was in order. Headed out early today with lunch hoping to convert some to Not altogether successful, but still managed 39finds from 41 hunts.

Found with hevwalker on a much cooler day..... we had planned to do the Conservation Park caches today due to the high temps and Fire Ban yesterday. We drove as close as we could and walked in keeping a close eye out for the snakes we know are definitely here after a baby past by us back a couple of nights ago. A quick find the cache has a broken lid so could do with some tender loving care from CO. Again no snakes seen. TFTC
scramping & I were holidaying for a few days in Whyalla...we did lots of caching around the area... It was a much cooler day today so it was time to check out the Whyalla Conservation Park...
We found the pull out and walked in being mindful of any critters that may be lurking...
Went for a walk into the "bush"...actually not that bushy...it was an easy walk to the cache and quickly located...the container could do with some TLC as the lid id brittle and cracked...
A nice view of the park from here as the name of the cache suggests...

Found on a short camping and caching trip north from Adelaide with FeatherWaite.
We slowly made our way up to near Lake Gairdner on the first day, picking up some selected traditional, letterbox and multi caches along the way. We then went across to Hiltaba where we travelled around part of the property, visiting Hiltaba Lookout and Mount St Mungo to find some more caches, including a couple of FTFs, before heading down to near the Gawler Ranges National Park to camp. Then it was off to Whyalla where we targeted a few multis and traditional caches before returning to Adelaide the following day.
Unlike our trip to the south east a fortnight ago, where we were pretty well rained out, we enjoyed reasonable weather with clear skies for most of the time; the only exception being a bit of rain overnight in the Gawler Ranges area.
Most of the caches were found in good condition, although we did have to replace a couple of containers and logbooks.
Thanks wombat33 for the cache.

Found during a caching trip to Hiltaba, the Gawler Ranges and Whyalla with e.gregory1 for a few days. On Day 1 we traveled to Port Augusta and Iron Knob then camped out for the night near Lake Gairdner. On Day 2 we arrived at Hiltaba with the main objective to tackle the caches on Mark Bonin Peak 'The Lookout' and Mt St Mungo before traveling through the Gawler Ranges. On Day 3 we drove to Whyalla then camped out nearby for the night. Day 4 saw us return back to Adelaide, picking out a few selected caches along the way. Targeting a range of cache types (Traditionals, Puzzles, Earthcaches, Multicaches, and Letterboxes), a multiple of cache attributes, and a wide variety of Difficulty/Terrain combinations resulted in an entertaining few days with cool weather and great scenery. Thanks for the cache in a very scenic conservation park wombat33!
Day 301 (Thursday 25th) of our trip. Caching along the way. In Whyalla today. A total of 9 for the day and 5785 for the trip. TFTC
Travelling through from the west decided to stay overnight to find a few caches in town, headed out to Whyalla CP for the afternoon, after finishing the longer hike this was a smaller one and soon found ourselves at GZ and a TB that needed rescuing, quick find for us today while admiring all the views

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
Today we targeted the Whyalla Conservation Park, starting off with a few premium caches to drop off some travel bugs, then whatever came after that. I just had some treatment on my arthritic knees, so today was going to be a challenge - good or bad. We ended up with a total of 12 out of 14 today.
Found after a nice walk. Left a tb turkey behind. Thanks wombat..

Before we left Whyalla tomorrow we wanted to visit this area but w are travelling with two pooches so it proved difficult. Geo-hubby dropped me back at the caravan with the schnauzers mid afternoon and headed off to the park himself to grab some finds. This was one of them.
Bit of a stroll and we scared off a family of Roos walking to the cache. One swap made. TFTC
Today's focus was to clean out Whyalla Conservation Park - I had a successful day finding all but one cache in the park. The variety of caches and vegetation, some enjoyable walks and great weather for mid winter made it a very enjoyable day.
Another short walk with some specy views, this is my preferred type of caching.
Thanks for the cache wombat33.

came up to get the nearby old cache 2001 as i need it for my jasper grid and bush caching is better than urban caching.
After setting up camp the night before with 3LG today we are hoping to locate as many caches in the area as possible before meeting up with The X-Trailers.We headed out towards The furtherest and worked our way back.
A great day weather wise .

After a good lunch we set off to grab these ones which we drive past everytime we visit Whyalla, it was very nice to be in here and the weather wasnt to hot or to cold, it was just right for doing some cacheing and walking. TFTC
Although it's only a small rise, you do indeed get a view from here, though there's a better one of course from the top of that hill over yonder. Thanks wombat33.

Day three of the Nullarbor experience was here. This morning, I left the convoy of Alansee, Maccamob and Mica Paramedic and headed out solo for a few days, heading towards Port Lincoln for the night.
Whyalla Conservation Park was the next on my list, The main one I wanted to find here was the 2001 Cache and Australia's first intercache.
Another quick easy find here, although the cache was filled with water, luckily I was off to find Mulga after this one, so left the log book and contents out in the sunshine to dry out for a while. This cache will need further maintenance and a new lid ASAP.
**Thanks to wombat33 for the cache. TNLN**

Great finally to find some good premium caches up this way. This is a nice little conservation park :c) Dropped of a NZ Mega TB. TFTC!!
The rain stopped long enough for this cache to be grabbed. We have had a blast caching in this park in the dark with DeltaDucks, sharkbait2005 and CPwanderer. Thanks wombat33.
A nice find in between rain showers while out on a caching hunt with CPWanderer, AussieM&M and DeltaDucks. Enjoyed spending time with our visitors and geoDad. TFTC

We have finished out Grey Nomad tour of Western Australia and are staying in Whyalla for awhile before heading off to Murray Bridge to attend the "Oz Mega 2014 Murray Bridge" over Easter.
Today was another relaxing day caching around town. Thanks for not placing an eclipse tin or a 200ml Sistema here. For over ten years we have steadily watched the quality of caches get worse and worse. Once upon a time caches seemed to be "regular" sized, and well stocked with goodies for kids to swap. Nowadays it seems like every other cache is small and devoid anything to induce children to enjoy the hunt. It made us feel really good to find this cache.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.

Another Great walk into the park, a few cars sighted in the park, but we was not seen. Great Hide TFTHSL TNLN
5.30pm- turned on the PC to find your new cache listed, the only obvious thing to do is jump in the car and go get it.. (I didn't say it was the smart thing to do) Logged it just before 6pm. How come Mother Nature helps you out? She wasn't doing me any favors as I walked through six or seven Orb Weaver webs in the dark on the way back. Great hide, cache perfect! Thanks for another great cache.
