Seffnjarah and I are embarking on the slow path back to full hiking fitness. Today we headed to Queen Mary Falls and surrounds for a few shorter hikes to help regain our fitness. With an early start, we stopped in Boonah to grab some coffee, snacks and lunch for later in the day. After our tour of various waterfall caches today - It's Elementary at Watson's Falls, a new virtual at Queen Mary Falls, Daggs Falls and Browns Falls, I requested this border cache be added to the targets. Way back in 2014, before the rules for challenge caches were changed, I was working on publishing a challenge cache which I was going to call "Borderline Crazy". The challenge would be to find a certain number of caches on or closely associated with the Queensland border. Sadly the rules changed and such a challenge is no longer possible. I recently visited Queensland three western corners and cleaned up a lot of border caches. So I just checked my original 2014 list of borderline crazy caches - 29 finds out of 31 caches (including a few now archived caches.) Whilst logging this one, I took a few minutes and updated the list. It seems there are quite a few more border caches now and I have collected 31 out of 53. For any playing along at home, here is the borderline crazy list. [https://www.geocaching.com/plan/lists/BM2GZ1K ](https://www.geocaching.com/plan/lists/BM2GZ1K ) The hiking border caches are on my to do list, but the rest of the border caches, all way out west, will likely have to wait till retirement. It was a reasonably quick find on the border today. Thanks Team Vertigo for another smilie for my personal challengePete#8,034 @ [12:33]
Maroons every time, but then again its not real football is it?We hadn't realized we were so close to the border. We woke to a bright sunny morning with the promise of a warmer day, and were not disappointed as we planned to head out to Queen Mary Falls for some sightseeing and caching on our way.The undulating countryside was enjoyable as caches took us on a tour of the area.Dagg, Queen Mary and Browns Falls were spectacular and certainly worth a visit on their own. The walk round Queen Mary Falls was spectacular and the track to and from Browns Falls an adventure with another spectacular finish.A good day had!Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Team Vertigo91.**SKI Pair****
In the area on a weekend getaway with two of my munchkins. Seeing as we were passing and I had a DNF last time, I made sure to stop and try again.I think it may have been missing last visit as it was an easy find this time. Thanks for the cache Team Vertigo91
While staying in the area for a few days we stopped and found this cache
On a trip to see family and friends and dropping in to grab a cache or two as we passed by.Just a cacher snagged this one while I was looking elsewhere. Thanks for the cache Team Vertigo91.
On a trip with Black Bunny to see family and friends north of the boarder and doing a bit of caching on the way.Found this one while the bunny was searching elsewhere. Thanks for the cache Team Vertigo91.
Last find for our Saturday Sojourn. Cache was quickly in hand and then back to a local park for bit of lunch. After lunch we returned in this direction to head up Acacia Plateau Road for a look see after recommendation by a local. If you got some time to spare it's really nice drive with some 4WD when you hit the border rough roads. Be warned though it's a "No Through Road" so you'll have to return the way you came. TFTC
I had a fairly lengthy search here, and there really only were a couple of places where a plastic cache that was once on the ground could be. Despite having only been found four days ago, I suspect with the array of visitors stopping here to get the selfie, it had gone missing? I must have spent 20 minutes searching around doubling back and making loops, so I decided to just return to the vehicle and grab a replacement. There's a really good spot for a micro-sized cache container nearby to the border sign (noting that there is only the New South Wales sign, which is unfortunate that someone has "souvenired" the Queensland sign). The cache is a painted Eclipse mint container with waterproof logbook page inside. For an updated clue, think fence / fence post. Thanks Team Vertigo91 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Today, my primary plan was hiking Wilsons Peak as part of the [Willy's Peakers](https://coord.info/GCAC7JQ) event. Subsequently, it was an early morning drive south towards the Qld-NSW border via Ipswich parkrun and Boonah. Following the mountain hike, I then used my afternoon to drive through Killarney and the smaller towns east of Warwick, like Tannymorel, Junabee, and Freestone, before then returning home via Cunningham’s Gap, Warrill View, and Walloon. Locations from the [Join Muriel on a trip around the Southern Downs](https://adventurelab.page.link/oPPR) Adventure Lab were also visited, with those relevant murals being a highlight.

Found TFTC with Barrod. Out and about from Mackay Qld so that makes us BLUE. Cache is not a magnetic nano. Found on ground. Plastic container so replaced in appropriate place.
Hi there Team Vertigo91, we found your cache Maroon or Blue today.
Day two touring out from Warwick. Previous days have seen some great geocaching, and today is looking to be the same if not better.
One of the signs is missing, after phoning a friend, we believe that the geocache was on the missing sign or at least jammed between the two. We have replaced the cash with a micro pet container.
We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the countryside today, & ended up finding quite a variety of container types, sizes and ratings.
Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: Good.

Ian & Penny

Another point for the Blue team. I found this little ditty on the way back home to Lismore after a day looking at the nearby waterfalls in QLD.
I was looking forward to buying a drink from the nearby shop in Legume, however it was closed today. Lucky there were a few shops opened in Woodenbong.

Away for a few days camping near Killarney with LOML and geopup. Been out of the game for a bit but figured this is a good one to get back into it.

It took me a moment to spot it. The hint isn't entirely correct. Thanks for the fun Team Vertigo91
Heading out for a day out with geohubby to Queen Mary Falls, we stopped to grab some caches on the way. A huge number of DNF's today didn't make me happy, but hitting my next mini milestone did. I learned a few lessons - like how to identify stinging nettle the hard way, and that for some reason sometimes I always make the cache so much harder than it needs to be!
Being so close by we couldn't pass up the chance to grab another border crossing cache. This was a quick stop and sign, switching the cache back to QLD where it should be. TFTC.

Just turned this one into a smiley for us from six years ago when we were new to the game. We did not know what we were really looking for. Go the Maroons. Thanks Team Vertigo91 for this
Found this cache while on a little road trip completing the Stanthorpe Apple with Greatgod86! Low key found the Brisbane Lions sticker amusing on the pole! TFTC! ️
Nice easy find on the Maroon side of the border! Found with graceygirl1234. TFTC
This was a must find so we could contribute to the Maroon's dominance on the leaderboard. Go Queensland!!!

D 1.5 T 1.5 Micro Traditional Cache
After we (Peppa, Davinells and Snickersallan) tackled Lincoln Bomber yesterday, we still had energy to hike Browns Falls, went to the border and clean-cache Killarney. Really enjoyed this weekend's trip.
Thanks for the cache and taking us here Team Vertigo91. Quick easy find. Buying eggs from the locals took longer, they have to show us their chooks!

This weekend has been all about Lincoln Bomber…
Our final cache as a group… while E_Smiley & Snickersallan distracted the local farming folk by pretending to be interested in his free range eggs, Davinells and I took care of the cache…
Unfortunately we couldn’t prevent E_Smiley from using here side plate sized stamp… tftc…

Our posse this weekend consisted of Peppa, Snickersallan, E_Smiley and ourselves. The main reason for coming to the area was to do the Lincoln Bomber hike. With that taken care of yesterday, our attention turned to the other caches in the area.
We didn’t want to spoil the team dynamics so we kept our allegiances to ourselves and divided and conquered at GZ. Peppa and I did the signing by duties while E_Smiley and Snickersallan distracted the locals. Tftc Team Vertigo99

Gotcha - Found easy enough.
Sorry - have to go for THE BLUE'S. We are from THE CENTRAL COAST OF NSW.

We are definitely team Maroon! This was a remarkably quick fine for me considering my reputation for not being able to find micros. I thought another Geocacher had pulled up as I was signing along with it was just another tourist taking a photo of the sign. TFTC
A step over the line to retrieve the cache ,sign and replace. A few days out before the 1st of the NRL 2022 clash ! Thanks Team Vertigo91
Weekend away to Warick and Stanthorpe targeting oldies, recommended at night and anything else in our way.

Mr D wanted to go for a drive, borders are now open, so lets do some border hopping. We sat down and chose a route, packed the picnic bag and set off.....
Been wanting to find this cache since we moved to Warwick 6 months ago, but with borders being close, I doubt if the border patrol officerfs would appreciate our rummaging through the signage. So for the first time since March 2020, we attempted a border crossing.
Easy find, no barriers any more. Go the maroons
Thanks for the hide Team Vertigo91 for the opportunity to find this cache. Fave Point for the fun

Out for a drive in the country side and we couldn't help but visit the state border. Not quite as good as Cameron's Corner but for now this one will do.
Definately blue, all the way and what a great state of origin series it was! Series was as good as the cache was (so you take what you want out of that )
Thanks for the cache **Team Vertigo91**

Sad day today . Sorry to say the Mighty Maroons were well outclassed last night - right across the park 26-0. After the 50-6 pasting in the first game it’s going to take a miracle to avoid a clean sweep. We’ve done it before so we can do it again. Go the mighty TOADS.

Awesome cache on the border. Coongoola & Geodog found your cache today, 22 May 2021 10:50 am , while enjoying another day out adding to our tally. TFTC Team Vertigo91
TFTC. Today was a travel day as we make our way from Kyogle across the border to end up in Maryborough later in the week. We had earmarked some caches to attempt providing we could park the motorhome and toad safely off the road.
Plenty of room to park in NSW and walk to QLD for the cache.

Too a detour from the scenic drive out of Warrick to find this cache. A nice easy find on the boder found in QLD signed in NSW. TFTC.
CACHE HAS BEEN REPLACED
Was here the other day but too many people around. Today all is quiet but the cache had definitely go walkabout. So has been replaced with a clear tube inside
Have stopped here quite a number of times over the years and always with someone who hasn’t done the photo opportunity lol
All good to go!

Sad to log this one as a DNF. Had a good look and feel around today, but unfortunately I could not find this one.
Dayboro trip. Day 7. Another drive day, but with a difference. I traveled from Casino to Dayboro, via Warwick and Toowoomba. The stop in Toowoomba was aborted as the lockdown was terminated early and everyone else moved on, so I followed. Otherwise a fun day with three adventure lab sets done and some nice Queensland Freeways traveled. The new road down from Toowoomba is fantastic.
It seems this one has been missing for some time.
Thanks.

Due to the border being closed and a high degree of police presence, this cache was not attempted today
Been a long time not found. Had a thorough search and even the on duty police helped.
While camped at Queen Mary Falls for the weekend, we took a drive down to Tenterfield and back via the back roads.
Stopped to grab this one but looked everywhere for this cache but no luck. The signs look very new so may not be there anymore. Will keep an eye on this one. Thanks for making us stop here.
Visited on 7 March 2020. TFTC, Team Vertigo91.

We couldn't go past this one - as Storm supporters and Bunadoorian being born in QLD we have to go Maroon. Bunadoorian found this sneaky one. I had a replacement logbook which we have left. TFTC Team vertigo91
After a brief search of the area the little blighter was found in good condition. We replaced the logbook. Grub62 said that she was going to get in touch with the CO regarding the logbook. TFTC.
After a cooler start to the day, which was very enjoyable, the road travel and the cache hunting continued with ilook4geo. It was a successful day, as we had only chosen a few along the route to look for to break the trip. A very quick and easy find was made here. The log here was signed with two more lots of initials before all was put back into place. Thanks go to Vertigo91 for putting this cache into play.
The day rapidy heated up after a cool start. We found some caches, along with goingplaces2, while going along some country roads. Added some more smilies to the map after finding and signing logs. TFTC.
Found this cache with Wayn0 after a morning of suffering food poisoning instead of Lincoln Bomber hiking.
Go the blues! (even though I think the game is rigged for money making purposes).

Road trip to NSW to see grandma. time for a few caches on the way. WillPunkey could not decide which state so he had one foot in either
On a road trip from home to home via various major roads. We detoured to here, via Killarney because one part of the team wanted to visit Legume. I live on the far eastern part of the border at Coolangatta and have always had a bit of an interest in the history of the original survey, as well as the history of the border itself. Interesting to see the signs about the rabbit fences, locally (more when you head inland a bit) the concern is about cattle ticks, with a spray station at the back of Kirra for (mostly horses) who have not been verified via a vet to be tick free.
As for Blue or Maroon, we'll keep that answer redacted, Living in a border town, it all goes a little pear shaped around State of Origin time with people of both colour persuadations on both sides of the border. Better to keep the peace....
