Have followed the story but stuffed if I can get the checker to give me a tick. Might just have to go for a stroll myself and see if I can get lucky Very Happy

Might go check on this soon to verify it is still in place - watch this space!

Chook travelled down from Western Vic to Hawthorn today, to attend a school reunion. She arrived a bit earlier with the plan to pick up a couple of targeted caches in this area. Loved the theory and the story behind this cache. No problem getting a green tick on the checker. However at GZ, the search did not produce the goods. Had plenty of muggle-free time to give it a pretty thorough go. Hope its just a matter of eyes not good enough today. Thank you anyway.

TFTC! Enjoyed our walk in the chilly afternoon! Managed to find the cache a very long search and the lack of muggles seemed to have helped!

Long book is very damp but we managed to be able to sign it, collected 340 unloved days!

Found at 2:51 PM GAFF5/3 - not that the hint gave anything away Sad.
Gosh - I hope I don't end up like that granddad! Nice story though Big Grin
At GZ I looked at all of the usual hiding spots in these type of structures and came up empty handed. Then a muggle came and sat down, so I had time to think about other possible spots and I honed in on one that I had skipped along the first time round. Muggle goes away and I jump in and - voila! A dirty muddy container was in hand [:o)]
Thanks CamBendy.

Folks, today I have updated the cache description slightly to reflect the changing neighborhood. Unfortunately for those with high google foo, there will be no solving GZ anymore from the comfort of your internet connection.

29-Feb-20
It was with a healthy dose of apprehension that I approached this old Mystery cache, as it had gone ‘unfound’ for seven months tomorrow.
A few days before today - February 29 (Leap Year Souvenir Day) - I attempted to solve the mystery from the comfort of Dr Google’s digital couch.
This was nearly as much fun as taking the stroll itself along the route - using Google Earth, and then the normal Google to assist with the surgeon information.
Anyway, it all worked, and GeoCheck confirmed the accuracy of my amateur detective work.
Thought it would be an easy find today, but poking around during even a Saturday morning peak is not wise. Two people asked ‘Are you right there, mate?’ / ‘Can I help you, mate?’. Not good
So I nicked off and returned when the area under investigation had quietened down a bit.
Searched new and similar areas to earlier and eventually laid my hands on the prize in a spot I had narrowly missed the first time around.
Container was quite dusty but perfectly OK.
Signed the log and ‘hopped it’.
Thanks, CamBendy, for the story, the ‘stroll’, the puzzle and the cache.
Neat work

I was driving through the area and needed a puzzle find for the day. I'd previously looked for this one with no luck. It doesn't help that the area seems to be quite popular with muggles both on foot and of another kind.
This time I found the sneaky blighter in the second spot I looked at. I could've sworn I looked there last time. Oh well, cache found this time!

Out and about after geokid drop off. Doing a few caches left in the area. I did enjoy the walk and reflected on my work with those affected by this affliction. Like another finder resorted to internet for information needed for final location. (Surgeon has moved to another location )At gz ,there is the usual wait for Coast to be c lear. My spot to hide a cache proved the spot. All signed. Only a little damp log. Thanks CamBendy for the walk, reflection and cache.

13-Apr-19
Had to wait until muggles left. Be prepared to wait. Not sure what this puzzle is, as legoman9x solved it and took me there to retrieve while I just wanted to go to an event and this was on the way for him.

13-Apr-19
Found with Winniethebear. I had taken a virtual stroll through neighborhood, I hope that is ok. I remember it being quite fun to work out and having a bit of trouble with the phone number. Once at the GZ, we searched before some muggles appeared and we had to wait. We semi searched while they were there, but once they left we had a could search properly and had the cache in hand. TFTC CamBendy.

Good question and took us quite a while to locate it. Thanks for the clever little hide.

22-Mar-19
Found it with kangas11 BeckNmonts and Papi4506 we was bit searched but kangas11 got before us.
Thanks for the cache

22-Mar-19
Good one!! Been looking up and down from side to side then finally found it. Thanks CamBendy for placing the cache.

22-Mar-19
I think I know where you hid the cache. Somewhere near here. Or perhaps, somewhere near there. Somehow, we found it today. Thanks so much for placing this cache CamBendy

A lovely walk around the area with success!

15-Jan-19
I am familiar with this area because there is the best op shop near here. I visit it frequently and decided I had better do this cache. This is a lovely area to wander around, following grandad's route.

11-Nov-18
Found It!
After a few goes I worked out the correct route and started hitting the checker with the options but I just couldn't get a green tick. It looks like the surgeon has moved on but after a bit of hunting around online I found the info I needed. The internet never forgets. Then I did the maths and got a green tick on the checker! When past GZ today and there was no one around so I quickly found the cache!

Why didn't I look there last time. A quick find before muggles turned up. A bit of unloved here as well. Tftc

11-Apr-18
No luck today. Seems the surgeon is also gone, so wasn’t able to use this for the clue.

08-Apr-18
After a lovely story, a bit of investigative work and a tip from the CO i was off to find it. Unfortunately after a thourough search, nothing came up.

Well I'm not my late mother.....yet! I remembered to come back and look for this cache after my DNF I was in the right place all the time......just hadn't looked hard enough
An interesting and different cache so it gets a favourite from me. I can smile about mums Alzheimer's now but at the time it was a very distressing thing for everyone concerned. TFTC

Took the opportunity to solve this via the story. Gawd Bless Pa!
My pa was similarly inflicted, for the last few years of his life, and I distinctly remember the very last time he knew who I was.
I had been staying with him for a couple of days, he looked at me and said "I had a granddaughter with your name, but she'd be middle-aged by now" then, a moment of realisation made his whole face change, and I held his hand, and we sat, loving each other for who we were, for almost a minute, then it passed and I was just another stranger once more. I'd hope I never forget that.

27-Apr-17
Certainly an interesting puzzle and story. Was able to follow the whole thing but missed finding one step which slowed me down. Was still able to continue on and work out where the cache was hidden.
This morning at the location again and while the gent on his phone turned his back, was able to grab the cache and sign. As he turned back towards me, fubble fingers me, dropped my pen and cache was quickly returned while grabbing the pen.

Thanks for the cache CamBendy

No luck Sad made it to the servo and the old surgery though

17-Mar-17
I collected some information for this on a bit of a virtual stroll one evening, when other puzzles were proving a little too hard! Love the idea here, and got to go collect today as part of mystery month. Found very quickly, was worried for a minute that a newly arrived muggle close by was going to hold up my return of the cache, but I managed with a bit of 'now where did I put my..." rummaging in my bag. thanks for the cache!

19-Feb-17
Finally made it here to find it...after worked out ages ago with geofriend's help.
Thanks CamBendy for the hunting and cache.

10-Feb-17
I enjoyed following the trail for this cache. My late mother suffered from Alzheimer's and we had many similar conversations before she got really bad. Very sad and frustrating yet sometimes funny.
A bit like this cache for me! Sad and frustrating as I couldn't find it......but I will probably forget that and look again one day

New Years Day a great quiet morning to grab a few caches with Happy pants. It was a great day to set off on this adventure, finding the clues needed to solve this mystery. It was only when we almost got stumped and had to resort to the help of the mobile. Once the puzzle was solved and at GZ, a reasonally quick find was made, with no muggles about. A fun cache.
Thanks CamBendy for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

I had looked at this one a couple of times now but didn't really pursue it due to it being a little too cryptic but while in the area this morning with Happy Feet grabbing a few caches we had a closer look at it and it seemed to make sense especially after finding the first couple of things easy enough and then heading off and we soon had it all sorted bar the last bit of the challenge but my dear friend Dr Google sorted out that bit and we were soon at the gz and after a little searching about I had the cache in hand. Thanks CamBendy for the nice little challenge and hide. Interesting cache and notes at the start of the log book, very touching! Will give it a fave for the fun factor and reason for hiding it!

10-Dec-16
I solved this puzzle a while ago but couldn't find anything at GZ, it was evening peak hour and while there was no one at GZ I felt conspicuous and therefore I only had a "boy" look.
I was passing through today for an appointment and decided to have another look, as I'm doing mystery month. Before too long, the cache was in my hands, thanks for this interesting puzzle

18-Sep-16
Seems like grandpa is not up with the times. The cafe and surgical clinic he mentions are both no longer there. So we used the clues (with some helo from google) to find coordinates but still could not locate. Obviously we need to eat more oranges..

#178 - 8.45pm
I first noticed this puzzle last month, when after an appointment Mrs Welder and I did some impromtu retail therapy up on the corner. Got myself a hardy geo-bag!
I was fascinated by this story, but I couldn't solve the dilemma at the time. The solving of this required me to work out the phone code. I wish I could have seen the one "real obvious" spot, but my own observations struggled to narrow it down. The phone code and hint made it a veritable drive by for tonight.

It was a damp and cold winter's night. But I needed to pick up some solved puzzles since I was slipping behind in my monthly challenge.
At this time of night, parking close to GZ was easier than normal. But there was constant muggle activity here. Got my muggle face on to play the part at GZ. Struck out on my first effort. Had to go back to basics and soon had the prize in hand.

Thanks CamBendy, for your lovely tale. It is a very thoughtful way to honour your Pa.
Well done.

A great little field puzzle which was fun to "virtually" walk around.
I kept watch at gz while BendSinister made the find. Great hide in the middle of inner suburbia!
TFTC CamBendy! Smile

11-Aug-16
A pretty nifty field puzzle, though I openly admit that I completed the lion's share of the research from the comfort of my armchair. In the end I had to rely overwhelmingly on the method outlined after the word "alternatively...". I'd be very impressed by anyone getting by without using that! At GZ things were fairly busy while OzHockeyChick and I were there, but the hint from the checker was extremely helpful, allowing for a fairly efficient poke around. The gentle fading of daylight probably helped make us a tiny bit less conspicuous too. Thanks CamBendy!

No luck 7.30pm. Son played lookout but still couldn't find it. Really do have caching blindness with this one lol Will be back in 6 weeks to try again.

17-Apr-16
Found with itsahoughthing. We managed to complete most of this cache virtually as well as finding the surgeon's number. Fortunately it was quiet when we arrived at the GZ but still took us a little while to discover this one. Managed to spot it from the right angle. Thanks for the great cache.

30-Mar-16
Have had two attempts today between traffic with no luck.

Thanks for an interesting and engaging puzzle cache. Find was somewhat complicated by the surgeon having moved and possibly changed numbers as well. But thanks to a web search the correct number and hence coordinates were found and the find was quick and easy. TNLNSL Smile and a favourite point from me

It would of been a nice walk, but I decided to drive the path,
At the last stage no one was around so it was easy to search, thanks for the touching story I too have been touched by this horrible disease within my family,

Thanks cambendy [:x]

Being one of the few mystery caches around my newish workplace that didn't feel immediately impossible, I looked into this one, and with a bit of virtual assistance was fairly quickly able to narrow down the GZ.

So, after the monthly board meeting tonight I knew that GZ would be quiet, so stopped on the way home for a quick search in the dark. Took a bit longer than I expected, but after some continued peering and probing I soon spotted the cache and had it in hand soon after.

TFTC CamBendy. A fun little mystery to solve.

Yes!!! Finally found it! This was my first mystery cache and it took me a heck of a long time to get. I first went the wrong way while tracking the conversation. When I finally got to the GZ I couldn't find it although I looked in every single spot for it. The next time, however, I got it! (With a tiny bit of help from a previous finder). I had to wait several minutes for a muggle who hung around for a bit. Right after I replaced it another came!
Thanks CamBendy for a great story and an interesting (and slightly frustrating Smile ) cache! Fav from me.

We did the ground work for this highly enjoyable and different type of cache months ago, but weren't able to retrieve on that particular date so left the find for another day. We had often driven past the GZ area but for one reason or another weren't able to pull over the car to retrieve, but needing a square urgently tonight for a P366 meant tonight was the night. Had to wait for a few muggles to move along, and then Miss A leapt in to retrieve the cache using Mr A as cover. At last the cache was ours. Fav point for this great cache - thanks CamBendy.

Finally got to the GZ and looked absolutely everywhere for it and from every possible angle. And yet I came back with nothing. Maybe next time ill have more luck.

This is the first mystery/puzzle I have attempted and what a ripper!

Appropriately I went looking for this cache on Father's Day. Partway through the walk around I thought I knew where the goods were hidden, but I continued to the end of the narrative.

I did the calculations which confirmed my suspicion of where it was located. It took quite a search to find the cache because it was so well hidden.

Thank you for an excellent adventure Big Grin

I worked this one out a little while back. I used to live near here so the story made perfect sense. Geokid made the find. Thanks. A sweet story and a nice visit. A favourite Smile

[yellow] Find #231 Puzzle #8 [/yellow]

[blue] We had no idea what we were in for when we first arrived at the start....... [/blue]
Now where's an orange sign? There, this is easy. Bench. But there are lots of seats and benches. Postbox. Well, let's just find that. Geodad saw some red up ahead so we headed that way. The garden and the nature strip garden bed were both pretty. Delicious smells came from the cafe but we couldn't stop by because of my violin exam. We used the alternative way, and quickly solved it. THe cache was located after a little but enjoyable search.

Took: Nothing
Left: A blue ribbon
Signed: Logbook
Thanks for a great cache. [/red]

After my dnf last week, I returned today to search again, I looked where my hint told me but to no avail, I msgd another cacher for some help, they were of a tiny bit of help so I then change my search method to forget my original hint and soon cache was found. I guess when they forgot where they hid the cache the forgot the position also . Log signed in between trams, thanks for the fun Smile

Loved this little story but managed to solve while on the train commute to work without having to "walk the walk". Still an enjoyable puzzle though.

Found the cache reasonably quickly with the hint.

Thanks for the cache!

This has been a long time coming. I did all the legwork on Melbourne Cup day last year however when I started to look for the cache a local came out for a chat. Earlier this week I went to search again but again the same guy came out for a chat. Today was third time lucky...it took a while but I got there in the end. TFTC.

Find #268

Had done a bit of pre-work on this one while looking at other puzzles in the area so had a good idea of what to look out for. We had a Tarbit family meal nearby and I was keen to make the pick up afterwards. It was a rainy miserable evening but we found what we needed to and made our way to GZ. Took probably longer than it should have to get our hands on the cache but then it was quickly signed and re-hidden. Back to the warmth of the car for us. Thanks for this interesting puzzle and for the cache CamBendy. A favourite point is on its way.

Out for a drive. Picked this one up on the way.
My Dad would have liked this puzzle you know. "Good training for the brain", he would say.
He kind of got a little forgetful towards the end, tended to wander a bit.
We would often find him staring out the window on a world that all seemed strange and new to him.
We miss him...he liked to go caching with us.
It was right where we thought he would have left it...though there were plenty of places on the way.
TFTC and the memories, may they never fade.

I remembered where I left it, ... I think I did.
So I sat for a while and scratched my head, then I got up and stretched...
Tied my shoelace, don't want to look scruffy now...
Sat down again and wrote my name down, writing is good exercise for the mind you know, so are puzzles. I like puzzles. Good night CamBendy

I really enjoyed this cache and the journey that echidna44 and I went on following grandfathers rambling musings and walk. Now where DID I find that cache? I can't remember, but I signed it anyway. Thanks for a brilliantly constructed cache. A definite favourite from me CamBendy

Sad to log a DNF on this one. We really wanted to find it. Unfortunately we had no internet access to geocheck our co-ords.

02-Nov-13
Was passing through the area and saw this cache on my iPhone app. Decided I had enough time to attempt this cache quickly. Parked the car close to GZ and walked/ran the route, hoping to get a quick grab but when I got the end, realized I should have been looking for hiding places.

Began backtrack the route back to my car, stopping to note the surgeon's name & number. On the run back, did attempt a quick search of the actual GZ (though didn't realize it at the time) but no success.

After my function, calculated the GZ coordinates and checked it. Bingo! I had searched there! Came late at night with very few muggles. Quickly found the cache, signed and replaced.

TFTC!

CJ-Curry's experience showed here; after I'd looked all over the spot and was beginning to lose hope after a few DNFs and a concerned muggle wondering what we were doing, he had it. A good little adventure through Boroondurra! Thanks!

21-Sep-13
Hevic and I were nearly muggled out of this one on a busy Saturday afternoon, but making up an excuse about contact lenses helped. We followed the trail, found the potential hiding spots, solved the puzzle and picked our spot. Took me a matter of minutes to grab it. A nice little tour of the area though - I quite enjoyed it! Cheers CamBendy

This cache must have been lonely as it doesn't seem to have been found for over 3 months. It's still there alright, and in good condition. TNLNSL TFTC and an enjoyable and somewhat poignant puzzle to solve!

17-Aug-13
International Geocaching day was spent in the Inner SE suburbs in the company of the lovely QueenK8 in search of Melbourne Mystery Caches. Visiting from Adelaide it was great to have her company and to have a local to guide me around the streets.

Buoyed by our last find we descended on GZ, hoping for a quick find. Unfortunately even on Saturday mornings this place is frequented by muggles that have a tendency to hang around for 5 minutes or so before disappearing. The ‘obvious’ places were inspected, but with a new batch of muggles on their way and time running out we decided to call it DNF 7 for the morning.

I have been looking at this one for a while, and thinking about how to approach it. Every time I have driven past, its been really hot, and given that I wanted to approach it in the 'intended' fashion I didn't want to do it then. Today was very cool and nice and overcast, so perfect weather for a little walk and following some instructuions.
It wasn't long before I had reached the end of the instructions and had procured myself a nice hot chocolate. I slowly made my way towards the hide. A quick find in the end and my name was in the log.
Thanks for the cache and the stroll CamBendy!

Spiffy- solved the puzzle and we were in the area so went to the GZ. Lots of heckling from a balcony muggle was intense, but we found it!

Last time I was here there were way too many muggles. Was in the area at lunchtime today with TurnerFamilyFTG so found it nice and quickly this time since I'd already had a partial look last time. TFTC and the puzzle.

Really enjoyed this one out on a morning ride. Wandered around following instructions and yes, it had to be there...and it was. Thanks CamBendy.

Find 624 at 23:52. I was out on an evening caching run with Big Blank and we were targeting caches in the Hawthorn area. In all we ended up with 12 finds for the night and this was find number 10. We had solved the clues for this one a couple of weeks back and were condifent that it would be an easy find. As luck would have it, a dog-walking muggle walked right up to us as we were searching GZ and even enquired as to what we were doing. Big Blank had a good cover story and so the muggle moved on none the wiser. The cache was located shortly after - a good hiding spot indeed.

Thanks for the cache, CamBendy!

Find number 274

Out with PantherX. After spending some time solving puzzles we were on a mission to add them to our tallies.

We had solved this particular cache earlier and apart from avoiding muggles the completion of the task was done fairly quickly.

This was success number 10 of 12 on this outing.

Thanks CamBendy

Found this one tonight. I had previously tried on New Years Night after watching the fireworks in the city but on that occassion I got confused by the orange signs and led myself on a wild goose chase. I eventually found the correct place that I was meant to be but the number of muggles and my exhaustion meant that I wasn't able to search properly. I basically had narrowed it down to 2 places and a quick search of both revealed nothing. Today I came back and checked all the places I had previously looked with no luck (focusing mainly on the two places that I suspected). After that I went and found the doctor's name and then worked out immediately which of the two places I suspected was right! Now to find the cache. Back to GZ and looked in all the unusual places and soon had this tricky little cache in my hand! Signed log but didn't swap anything and went on my way - highly relieved.

Thanks for the cache and the challenge CamBendy - A big hurrah to all the people who care for people with dementia/alzheimers as well.

Found at 06:12
when I first looked at this I didn't know where to start. I finally followed the story around the neighborhood and found the doctor. The next problem was that every time I was in the area was too busy to even attempt to look for the cache. I thought an early morning assault could work and with only a few muggles around this early, I was able to find and sign the cache.
Thanks CamBendy for the puzzle with a difference. A fav for the story and the adventure.

12-Jan-13
I had previously done a bit of eesearch on this one and was just waiting the right time to take the walk.
After cleaning up a few caches in the CBD and Richmond, TwoDrews and I decided to take the number 70 tram a bit further. He had one up this way that was needed for his collection and it was virgin territory for me. As we got close I realised we were very close to this cache.
The story came back to me and all the different hides, located during my research meant the phone wasn't needed. We eliminated a few spots and in the end TwoDrews came up with the cache with a bit of handy torch work. The proof of find was etched as the log changed hands before we put it back where the old fella left it.
Thanks for the cache.. great to have another question mark scratched off the map.

12-Jan-13
As GazaC mentioned, he did the brain work and I did the torch work, so this became a team effort. I work in Aged Care so I'm familiar with the affliction, hopefully in time we can find a cure. Thanks CamBendy for a very creative cache, I haven't seen one like this before.

21-Dec-12
Worked this out a few weeks ago but when I got to the GZ and waiting for the tram travellers to leave then I found out the units directly behind the GZ where all out drinking on the front lawn so couldn't get a good look around. I'll be back.

09-Dec-12
I know this part of Hawthorn really well. I've been to the PO, the service station and the cafe in its previous incarnation as a pizza restaurant. So I was able to do most of my research virtually and soon got the tick from the geochecker. Big Grin I needed to do some birthday present shopping on this sunny Sunday so decided to drop by here on the way to gauge the muggle activity near GZ, knowing what a high muggle area it is. To my delight there was nobody about so I searched for a bit and then spotted the cache when I looked from the right position. I retrieved the container and signed the log at 1:10pm. TNLN. Just after I replaced the container a man crossed the road and stood right next to GZ so I was very lucky indeed. [^]

Thanks Cambendy for the fun cache and interesting journey. My 89 yr old mum's starting to get just like your dad except we have much more trouble finding the things she loses. Sad

I've been sitting on this one for awhile, however it turns out i had the wrong coords all along.. A PAF rectified this and I was soon back on track.. I was able with a small detour pick it up tonight.. Thanks Cam Bendy for the cache and the puzzle.. A Unique and interesting cache.. GZ almost got the better of me again.. however I got it in the end.. the cover of darkness and dodging two trams and countless muggles paid off.. Thank for the cache.. Find # 3121

This morning I had an early appointment in the city, and on my way back home deviated to have another crack at this cache.
This was my third attempt.
The first attempt was aborted when a unit owner near GZ accused me of being a graffiti artist sizing up a new siteSurprised. Although when pressed, she agreed I didn't look like a graffiti artist, I had attracted her attention and she wanted to continue the discussion, with who knows what intentions in mindCool, so I decided a strategic withdrawal was appropriate. That was several months ago on my way to a night game at the MCG.
Then last Saturday afternoon I had another crack. I attracted the attention of another unit owner (Neighbourhood Watch must be booming around here) and again left, before I was challenged, but I had had a pretty good look around on that occasion.
This morning I tried again and found it almost immediately. Don't know how I missed it on Saturday, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if another log popped up and it had been placed back into a slightly easier spot.[8)]
Anyway, thanks for the cache CamBendy.
I think I'd better stay away from that area for a while in case I wind up in a police line-up!

Find # 1937

Today I had a few hours spare to find some caches, so I picked up my caching partner in crime SedgwickDave and we headed towards the Hawthorn area.

This as it turned out was our last find for the day (3 x DNF's to follow!!). This was a simple enough puzzle, even I could solve it!! We continued our walk around the hawthorn area, arriving to a deserted GZ, managed to find the cache before anyone came near. Returning the cache was sligltly more challenging with several people walking past and waiting very close by. We got it back to its spot in the end.

Thanks to CamBendy for the cache.

Out on another Saturday caching run with caching buddy ahomburg this morning as we both had a few hours free.

Solved this one using the online tool of choice for geocachers and following the story carefully I was able to retrace the steps and with that have the information needed for GZ. But I guess it could be done in the field also if you had time. A unique style of puzzle and a type I have not done before. A lot of fun.Big Grin Was finally in the area today to pick this up as I had solve it a couple of months back. A nice hide and with luck the area was free of muggles. TFTC CamBendy and for the puzzle, another of yours found today and a favorite too.

Caching as a geomob with Team Crackers, The Coffees and micaparamedic.

Another one of Diane's here's one I prepared earlier solutions so I was very much a passenger on this one. A very quick find as we all looked as inconspicuous as possible and not attract the attention of the passing tram.
Thanks for the cache.

After recieving a phone call from micaparamedic last night saying that he was taking McWomble from England out caching for the day we picked up The Coffee's and met them in Melbourne for what turned out to be a very enjoyable caching experience on a mild sunny winters day. We all enjoy caches with a little bit of difference and thought that this would be a great one to do with group. We were able to follow the directions without too many disagreements and soon found ourselves in a likely location and with this many eyes the cache was discovered quite quickly and our names added to the log book.
Our thanks to CamBendy for placing this cache

Found on a day out caching with Team Crackers, The Coffee's and McWomble. Final coordinates calculated prior to heading out. Standing around at GZ, Spook soon spotted the prize and the cache was retrieved, log signed and cache replaced. Thanks CamBendy for the cache, nice tribute to 'Pa'.

Out for a days caching with Team Crackers, Mica Paramedic, and McWomble.
We have to admit we sought some assistance on this cache but were happy today to say we found it. Our thanks to Cambendy for another clever cache that went "ah I see"

Borrowed the other half's myki to do a few caches between railway stations.

Having followed the story virtually while at the computer last night, and guessed the most likely hide on the way (and confirmed it by the alternate method), the search area had narrowed to what I hoped was manageable.

Fortune was in my favour, as I arrived just as GZ cleared out. Pausing a couple of times for passing foot traffic, I had the cache in my mitts fairly quickly, and left the area just in time to avoid embarassment.

A well-executed cache, CamBendy... I'm sure your grandfather would approve.

Cycled along to some caches today although i dismounted and locked up for this one as it seemed more fitting to relive the moments properly. Had a nice walk along as i read through the story and checked a couple of spots but none yielded the cache, got to the surgeon's office and worked out the co-ords and... THEY WERE WHERE I LOOKED BEFORE, i went over and had another search, this time using the co-ords but alas, still no cache, the location matched the hit and was to me most likely but as much as i looked no cache was found. Thanks for the journey and area anyway, ill have to have another look some other time though i dont know i could have missed it.
