Find #: 3,785Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Cool spring morningCache condition: GoodI was jogging around the parklands and found myself at GZ. I generally struggle with the bridge series (kinda the point?), but given this 'temporary' replacement container seems to be increasingly permanent didn't have any troubles - TNLNSL TFTC
Not quite sure how to count to six sides, but eventually we found the cache, about eight meters off the published coordinates.
A warm sunny Labour Day geocaching at Western Sydney Parklands. We had a DNF here in December 2018 and one reason for today's visit was to avenge that. We were a little disappointed to find a replacement as we were ready for the challenge again. Never mind. We can see why it's been made a little safer. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Tftc - three logs each with one name on it? Easy find, straight to it following the track. No need to climb.
No luck today and with the amount of rubbish everywhere from the recent floods Im worried it may be gone
Quick find today. Would have been nice to see the highly rated original. Maybe we shall return when it is replaced. TFTC!
Géo hubby ventured to find this one, again we had previously but was not successful. Glad to put a smiley on this one but purely because it’s a temporary one TFTC
This is another cashe we've visited on several occasions.1st time i spent a while under the bridge in the mud with no find. Oher times there was a way too much water in the Creek to be able to get to it. Today temporary cashe was an easy find. I'll return once the original cache is back in play. Thanks for the maintaining the cache
Made the effort to go down and boom there it is, fun scramble thank you. Would love to see the original
I’ve put a temporary cache at this location until I can fix up the original camo.

The cache is still there. Access to the cache is more difficult and so I’m going to increase the terrain rating.

###Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###
This geocache has been brought to my attention as needing an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache. See the [GCHQ Health Score](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713) process.
I agree that it certainly seems necessary to have it checked by the Cache Owner.
The cache owner needs to:
* Take action to restore the cache or address issues such as correcting the D/T rating.
* Re-enable the cache by posting an Enable log
* Post an Owner Maintenance log to advise what has been done and to clear any Needs Maintenance attribute which is present.
Otherwise :
* Post a Note Log to request more time if necessary or provide other information..
**Do not use an Owner Maintenance log for this. That is for use only **when you actually do something to repair the cache**.
Alternatively:
* Archive the cache, and remove any remaining geo-litter from the site.
In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page to await owner action by dkmacca and to take it off the playing board to prevent further geocaching community inconvenience.
[Please see the maintenance section of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines.](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance)
**I will check back in 30 days** to see that action has been by the CO.
If nothing has happened, I will assume that the cache has been abandoned, and, unfortunately, I will need to Archive this cache.
*Caches archived because of lack of maintenance/abandonment will not be unarchived.*
The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is in good condition, waiting to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.
Please see [my profile page](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?u=Balayang) for additional information.
Thank you

Spent a while poking around, but came up empty handed. Creek is quite high at the moment. Will definitely be back to gice this another try
Came back today with my Dad to help him search (I have previously found this one) and the landscape has changed dramatically. You would be very hard pressed to find this, in fact it would be near impossible and the original place is now covered in dirt. It was a great cache to find.
Another DNF for us at this cache. We even tried a PAF, which is very rare for us. Just too well hidden for us. TFTH
The creek level was very high, and very muddy, and the bank was washed away. We thought we might have to DNF this again. BUT as we approached the CO and daughter came cycling up to us. Serendipity indeed! With his generous help we were able to get CIH. An FP from me. TFTC dkmacca
The creek bank has been eroded away, and access to the cache is very difficult. But by chance we ran into the CO who kindly assisted with the grab. The use of geotweezers got it in the end. But with the bank eroded, CO says he might have to move it slightly. Have a well deserved FP for a great hide and container. TFTC
I DNF'd this in 2016 and thought I 'd have another, took one look at the height of the creek and decided I wasn't going for a swim, there was no bank just water. ...lol Maybe one day I'll be lucky enough to find this.
The cache has a high difficulty rating and the cache is still there. Happy hunting
Hey guys Rebelation here, it was a bit ropey, so we’ve decided to move on, the mud is too much for us to handle
We, that is Dan, crawled on his belly to search for this cache. People cycled above him, dogs thought about marking territory above him. Fortunately, the owners dragged them along. Getting cramped, covered in dirt and generally having fun in these claustrophobic surrounds he eventually give up. Just too well hidden for us. TFTH

Out for a family bike ride to celebrate a birthday for one of us and maintain social distancing. Found it with a helpful hint - thank you! Very sneaky hide! TFTC!

I need to assess any damage to this cache due to the recent flooding.

TFTC found with friends Twinkletoes72, Monkeymoes, Careerguide. I had given up and TT found it. Premature DNF
TFTC. OCW with MF428 & Geodog Atlas. After 1hr searching a PAF to the previous finder we had CIH.
Took 3 of us over an hour to find that. That was extremely sneaky. Had to get dirty bit not as dirty as I got crawling into tight spaces. Wow that was incredible. Thanks to the previous finders earlier in the day for pointing us in the right direction. Even with a hint it still took ages. TFTC
Out on a long bike ride. Spent ages here looking everywhere we could think of, but no find for us...
#6694 (4 of 4 today)
After a busy morning it was time to head up Richmond Road to Glendenning for some caching goodness.
Went for three new caches and since I was close I had another try at a previous DNF - and got it!
Headed home in time to almost unwind before having to pick up Geoson #2 from the station.
Very windy out this afternoon. Just glad I wasn't looking for anything under a big gum tree.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
And here I am again - at a double DNF for me! I first tried this way back in 2014, and returned last year, but both times came up short.
I'd had a number of thoughts re the hint. Today I reread it and had only one thought. Has the CO re-writtren it, or is my mind just on the right wavelength today? Time will tell.
Started in one area and spent ages, systematically searching like I (was a) Robot. Found a decoy, though.
Switched to another area - and surprisingly quickly spotted something begging for further investigation - no Eye In The Sky required!
Made the grab. Gotcha! FINALLY! What Goes Up...
And I'm proud to say I didn't succumb to a PAF at any stage.
Completed signing duties and replaced.
Trumphantly made my way back to *The Hademobile*.
Another brilliantly engineered cache by the CO. And yes unlikely to be found by a muggle. Gets a favourite.
Only bought APP's Pyramid back in the day. But an interesting Prog Rock group.

No dice here either. Caching skills a little rusty plus a roaming park ranger had me on edge as he made several drive bys forcing me to stay out of sight. I’ll be back. Cheers.

Tftc. What a fabulous hide. GPS had us going all over the place. It took us 90 mins in the end, but perseverance paid off. Mrs Jaybeem found it after noticing something different. The cache will never be muggled. Still don’t get the hint....?
Out today for a few local ones that I missed or have gone down since I was out this way last. 4 for the day. TFTC
Very sneaky! Thankfully I made sense of the hint relatively quickly and soon honed in on the cache. Nice work! TFTC!
Cheers,

OCW Sensible Shoes and Shoes Junior. This one took a little while to finally get our hands on as this has not been our 1st visit! We have been to this cache previously and not been successful. Last time we couldn't have found the cache because it was overgrown and the time before, it was just too hard. TFTC
Wow! We finally found it! After many a couple of failed attempts Mr S made the grab while the rest of us looked one! TFTC.
Having seen that this one had been logged since our previous unsuccessful visit, we headed out to avenge our DNF. The weeds (which cut short our previous unlogged search) had been cleared from around GZ, so we were able to start the search. After finding all the other "... sided bridges", we had an idea of what we were looking for, and were able to make a pretty quick find. We'd read that the log was starting to disintegrate, so we came prepared and replaced it. Happy to return the old log to the CO. TFTC
Out on a cache run around Glendenning/Doonside, Prospect and Seven Hills in order to find some caches with higher FPs for the Cache Carnival currently underway. Parking near Joe McAleer Park we into the Western Sydney Parklands and attempted some of the caches within. Unfortunately today our caching mojo just wasn't working coming away with only one find from six caches.
Very overgrown at GZ and having previously found the four sided bridge we still couldn't get a grip on this one and after forty five minutes called it day and moved onto the next cache. Will have to come back for this one.
The following TBs came through for the mileage : Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Mary Hyde's Treasure, Stuart geoMinion, teamMerlin's 7 Deadly Ducks Tag (Lust), Vanlith The Youngling, Hidden Creatures Geocoin TB, teamMerlin's Football, England since 1872, Herr Bert the Photoman, TB Gangaman, The Rock, Purply, teamMerlin's GIFF 2018 Geocoin Companion Tag, Kostka Donalda Entericha, Dino-run green, Travel Kitten Geocoin, Bloodhound

A very hot day in Doonside but we persevered. But our efforts far outweighed any reward here today. Must admit that we focussed mostly in non-troll territory avoiding some pretty dense undergrowth. But we will return and try again. We were passed on the bridge several times by a guy on a very loud dirt bike. Cheers... Gaztek
Geobiking day around Western Sydney Parklands. Thanks dkmacca for this amazing series. 18 founds and 4 DNF.

It took a while to find this very clever camo. Amazing job from the owner. +1FP

Found yay finally !!! Found with jadeyl and our geobabies pretty quickly actually tftc
TFTC the previous bridge finds helped me with tracking this one down quickly . tricky hide but a fun find . found with Lela_lala & our geobabies !
Mr S searched for this one with Little Shoes and Shoes Junior, but came up empty-handed. Will need to come back for a more detailed inspection.
Appear to be on the wrong side of the creek with the bridge closed will try next time
OCW morty8888 and after completing some caches around The Ponds area we decided to visit some caches in the Western Sydney Parklands owned by the CO. Including three bridge caches - I hate playing troll under a bridge whilst people walk over above. Morty8888 had previously found this cache so he looked on offering support to the search. Glad to turn a blue smiley into a yellow smiley.
One of a number of finds today whilst walking through the park-lands on a nice winters afternoon. The sign warning the path beyond the bridge was closed was still there but in a position that I could get to the other side my gps wanted me at.
After checking with a PAF I started a search finding what was needed in the first spot I checked. Replaced as found after signing the log and awarded a favorite point. tftc

Unfortunately at this sign, the gps still had me at 16mtres away... Might have to come back another time
#1825 11th of 15 on the day part of a big day that spent with alnic39 out at Bathurst & surrounding area then on the way home for a few caches around Blacktown Marsden Park. This one has caused me grief. Finally on a previous trip I think I had found the spot I was looking for but I didn't get the cache. So this time with Al got to the spot but the area has overgrown more than anytime I have been here before. I went straight to the spot I was working on last time and soon had the cache in hand. Alan Parsons Project was one of my favourite bands in the day had lots of things running through my mind trying to work out the hint
Had difficulty signing the log it was still a bit damp signed as phl & alnic39. May need a replacement log at some stage. Thanks for the cache dkmacca

I have had such a hard time with the "bridge" caches in this area and I don't think I have found ANY of them without some kind of assistance. Typical...today...I just follow Sir Phil and there it was. I have a good history with this area. I started my life as a teacher at Crawford PS. 11 great years there.
I researched The Alan Parsons project but nothing made sense. And I never heard of the band before (probably listen to them when I was younger).
What made more sense if I turned words around... But do i need a extra extra special tool? Nope!
Some how, the geo God's are really look after me. I found this first go, within half hour or less.
Log seems damp.
Log needs replacing as its tattered .. But no need for urgent maintenance.
Ps. This got nominated for GOTM by GCNSW last night after I suggested "How's James?".

Took a few attempts and a fair amount of past log testing, but in the end it was my blatant ignorance of the "hint" in the description, similar to the three sides bridge, that pointed us towards the thing that it apparently isn't. Still a clever hide... TFTC!
I think this is our third attempt at this one and perhaps we still wouldn’t have found it except we ran into a fellow cacher who gave us an of what we should be looking for. Suddenly the hint all made sense. We rode our bikes to collect this cache and while we were both looking for the cache and not watching our bikes 2 teenagers took off with 1 of them. Fortunately we met a guy who had seen the lads and told us which direction to go. He was angry so offered to help. As he was a regular rider he was quick and with Paul on his electric bike the lads were soon found and the bike returned. We certainly will need to be more vigilant in this area in future. TFTC
Finally a cooler day and an opportunity to do some caching. I decided it was time to head west from the east to tackle the dkmacca caches in Western Sydney Parklands as I have been told his caches were very clever and unique. I managed to tackle sixteen caches and found seven. Unfortunately the ones I found were bisons and nanos so I am yet to see any of his unique caches.
Another bridge, another troll underneath and above, but it seems the luck has run out again. Thanks anyhow for the cache macca.
