Had a good look around but no luck today. No luck with the whales either which is why we actually came here today
Travelling with some friends from all over the country to Lorne for the week. Made a dodgy park in our big can and made the push up to the lookout at record pace, but was disappointed to not be able to find the cache. The obvious place didn't hold it, not could I find it in the surrounding areas so I'm suspecting it made have gone walkabout. A fantastic view regardless!
Enjoying the views. No cache I could see in my venture. Has something changed in the 4 months since the last find?? Let me know CO.
Lugged the bikes up here, found the cache, admired the view, and had a great time riding down! Thanks for the great location highlight!
Day out with sassieold55, we have been over this way many times before in our bushwalking days, so this cache was perfect to get us back on track to do more walks,it certainly it was a clear view today. TFTC and a FP
Found it out and about with annabella02, spectacular day for a walk with a spectacular view . There’s a few wildflowers out along the track too . About 20 surfers out on 2 breaks , one lot clearly a class - bet they’re having fun . Am pleased to be back on track bushwalking again . Many tftc
Tougher walk than anticipated but we'll worth it for the views. Beautiful wild flowers on the way. Tftc
We are still recovering from covid and the hill walk was a bit daunting so we took the 4WD track instead. Had a great time. Beautiful location for a scenic photo.
Absolute love this bush walk. So much bird life and then the perfect halfway panoramic view. TFTC
A local brought me here and said: "On a clear day..." After admiring the view which was a bit misty I thought to myself - there might be a cache here. And sure enough
Since the seasonal road was closed we parked at the bottom and walked our way up, taking about 8 minutes each way. Overcast today but still nice to get an idea of the heights in these areas. TFTC
As we were staying in Boyd's Rd it seemed the logical thing to do to walk up to this one after chocolate cake for a four year olds birthday. Found with little blue hen. Found nicely tucked away and after signing we strolled down the track to the beach before returning to a well deserved glass of wine. Tftcsl
Chocolate cake, asthma and uphill are not a good mix but the downhill was a welcome relief. Great view. No whales but a hangglider kept us entertained as it was quite breezy. All dry at gz. T4tcsl
Did not realise how far the walk was going to be, I ran the second half because I wanted to get their quicker! An easy find, definitely not a carved out rock. Lovely views, very smokey today. Found with Tanks TFTC!
Found a hollowed out rock, just the right size for a cache but no cache. Searched around for any remains but nothing.
Am claiming a find, if the rock pictured was not the cache hide, feel free to delete.

I needed to grab a couple of Letterbox caches this afternoon for a challenge cache I am working on so Ausfox; and I headed to Bells Beach to grab them. That was as far as the adventure was plan because Ausfox; was meant to be picking up his Dog afterwards but as luck would have it someone else did that chore so that freed us up to explore further so we headed towards Moggs Creek.
With the light fading we found ourselves a parking spot a little closer but the walk was still a very steep one. We needed a few short stops along the way but made it in good time before we lost the light. At GZ the hunt was on with the GPS giving us some bad intel. IN the end common sense prevailed and the prize was found and signed.
It may not have been a clear day but the view was still pretty good. I am sure it would be even better on a Clear Day...
Thank you bingami for bring us here to this lovely spot

I had a free afternoon and Simsfamily needed two more Letterbox caches for a challenge cache so we made our way to Bells not realising that the Bells Surf event was on with a few more muggles than usual.
We worked our way up the undulating track with a lite misty rain. Once at GZ we were able to enjoy the veiw even if it was over cast.

A decent walk from the Moggs Creek carpark
And it was while strolling up the hill I discovered that the lazy buggers can drive to this one [:o]
I arrived to savour the well earned views
And enjoyed a quick cache find to boot
No dolphins to be seen today,
just lotsa traffic on the main road,
and a cargo ship out to sea

A lovely day to be heading along the Great Ocean Road and of course collecting a few caches where I could safely stop. I’m glad today is a clear day TFTC bingarni

* Celebrating 10 Years of Geocaching! *
After lunch at the Aireys Pub we needed a walk and this was the one we were keen on. Parking at the closest street we were able to wander the 500m up the hill to the awesome lookout and take some photos, spend some time recuperating and taking in the views. Thanks for the cache bingami.

Fabulous spot!!! My 3rd geocache in Oz and definitely the furthest south! TFTC Coppice Coop
Beautiful day for a walk up here with the kids. Wonderful view from up here! TFTC. Found some TBs that needed some action.
Love this walk and this spot. Have found this cache before but Dropped off a TB while I was here
Long way up but saw an echidna on the way and the views were definitely worth it.
Love this circuit walk from Moggs Creek picnic ground. Stopped in on a glorious winters day and visited a couple of trackables...
After walking from distillery creek picnic ground the view was a magnificent reward. I love this spot.
Day two of the Mega Event, and my first day free to go looking for caches. I made a different approach to that in the cache, but got there and began my search, found after a minute or so. Great views from up there.
My thanks to bingami for the cache.
My thanks to bingami for the cache.
While attending the mega for the weekend with pprass we went for an early morning run. This would have been a nice walk but being time poor Pete made it a drive by. Oh what a view. Well worth it either way. Thanks for bringing us here
Found at 6:21 AM GAFF1 in the company of xambo4u.
On an early morning caching run to get to 19,999 cache finds before attending the mega event.
We needed 15 quick finds this morning, so we were relieved to see that the gate was open, so we drove right up to the cache. Fantastic views - deserves a favourite for that.
Thanks bingami.

I headed into this area after completing final preparations for this weekend's Mega event in Anglesea. I've driven past this area many times but never checked out this particular cache. Until today, when I decided to tick off all the caches between Torquay and Lorne.
I eventually found a suitable parking area and made my way up. I reckon this could be a drive-by with a 4WD, but I took the 2-foot option getting to GZ just before dark.
Saw an echinda on the way up, found the cache easily at GZ (it was on the ground but I rehid it), and then enjoyed the sunset views. I could see .... forever !
Thanks for sharing this area, bingami.

Another visit to this lovely viewpoint - the kids remembered exactly where the cache was. I took the liberty of replacing the torn ziplock bag containing the logbook, took one trackable, and left another
Took a while to work out the best place to park the car. Walked straight up from Mogga Creek and enjoyed the brilliant view. Great cache!
Strong southerly and sea mist obscuring the smoke from Lorne / Wye River fires. Lovely location anyway. Thanks.
Fantastic walk and view.

Found it. Nice short stroll up to the beautiful view. We swapped a whale for a worry doll.
Picked this one up on a caching trip with DAB and Jacko83, thanks for showing us this cool place with amazing views.
Joined DAB and Tritonz out today for beautiful weather and a great day of caching.
A reasonably walk rewarded with a great view of the coast. Thanks for bringing me here!

Bit of a climb to get this cache, but the weather was spectacular so it was an enjoyable walk. Once at GZ the views were well worth it. Had to take a couple of happy snaps while here. TFTC bingami.

We dangled the geo bait for our USA Rotary visitors yesterday – first at the dead centre of Ballarat, then of course on the Geelong waterfront! Linda & Jim took the bait and signed up as Golfnbauer! Today we had a fun day around the Great Ocean Road – sharing the thrill with them as they made their first finds.
What a glorious view of the Victorian coast to share with overseas visitors. Without geocaching we would have missed this.
TNLN .. . . . SL . . Thanks to bingami for the hunt.

After a night under canvas in Lorne, It was time to head home via a CITO event in Geelong. but not before finding a few caches along the way. After a bit of a walk, I had arrived at what I am sure would be an even better view if it was a clear day. A nice quick find once at GZ.
Thanks to bingami for the cache. TNLN

An enjoyable walk with geofamily on a day that wasn't exactly beach weather. View from the lookout was spectacular, a new perspective on this coastline. Took trackable. Tftc.
Very happy to have a four wheel drive on this day. Lovely place. the short walk wasnt good though while being sick so i was glad for a place to sit down.
Friends took me out while I was unwell and it did cheer me up, but I didn't log any of my activity. Apologies to fellow geocachers. So I'm doing a bit of clean up. Thanks to Bushfire for making a log that reminded to catch up.

Found it while down at a major scout event doing catering after doing our shift we headed out to get a few more smileys and after a quick search we soon had the cache in hand and with log signed we moved on to the next one TFTC
On a not so clear but windy day, found a closer parking spot, but with a substantial hill climb to reach GZ The view is definitely worth the walk. TNLN. TFTC.
Trekked up to this one along the coastal track just off the GOR with 2 geokids in toe. There was remarkably little complaining! Quick find once at GZ. Clear day so we enjoyed the views. TFTC!
What a beautiful place for a walk. At least forty minutes walk each way but worth it as the view is amazing.
Couldn't believe the muggles that blew in here. Lots of them. Great views.
Thanks indeed

Weekend away in Airies Inlet and out for a cache.
Magic view, pitty there is not more activity at this location, grabbed TB to move to new location, left chipmonk to relax a little. Quick find.

After a lovely father's day walk up to the lookout with the complete krew, geo son says this would be a good spot for a cache. Leaving to walk back down the track, I pulled out the IPad and checked to see if there were any nearby caches and realized that he was right on the money, so we turned around and made the find. Fantastic views on a picture perfect spring day. TFTC
Absolutely love the view and the walk and 4WD were amazing. Fantastic environment and terrain, love this cache and place.

After checking out the "Old Bark Hut" and removing one of the caches I had to drive down and grab this cache as I like others knew a track that took me very close but I did find a 4X4 track that would take you right to the top. The gate closes in June and reopens October but is not a good option after rain.
Terrific views late this afternoon with good breakers and the colour of the sea was a terrific blue.
Had the GZ area all to myself and with spot on co-ords the overflowing container was soon found and the log duly signed. Thanks bingami for placing this cache and bringing me back up to this location.

AWG bushwalk 122 brought us to Moggs Creek with a few geocachers included in the walking group. The view was a bit hazy this morning but was better when we returned in the afternoon, having walked to Moggs Creek picnic ground and beyond. A round trip of over 9km. Great lookout spot and an easy cache find when we had the place free of muggles at 11:45am on the way out.

Found this one at 11:45 while on our bushwalk through here today. The muggles there when we arrived were somewhat overwhelmed by our presence and soon left, leaving us to nab the cache and admire the glorious views .

It was a magnificent morning and a little too good to be passing up this magnificent cache.
I'm sure I was up here a few years ago logging another??
Good excuse to return.
I must admit the local knowledge got me the easy way up.
I admired the view while signing the log and moved on.

A bit of deja vu coming back to the picnic ground to look for this cache as another 'bingami' cache (Mogg's Log) was about 50m behind where I parked the car. (Weird that no one else has tried to find that cache as the last log was ours back in July.) Anyway, enjoyed the circuit walk between the picnic ground and the lookout with the views along the coast spectacularly brilliant!
