We looked everywhere. Checked everything but couldn't see it. Found some stray animals tbough
Still a relatively new geocacher, this is my second cache attempt and it stumped me. But not for long, Ill be back eventually to claim this one too!
Found it TFTC Found in good condition. We tried to find this 2 year ago, planned to come back but didn't then. Gotcha this time
We are off on a trip to the Birdsville Races and then across to Queensland - the plan is for about 6 weeks of travel - all going well.
Week 1 we have travelled from Portland to Farrell's Flat near Clare.
Day 13
Melrose to Port Augusta
Only a short but stunning drive today - through Horrocks Pass with Eye of Sauron to greet us. After setting up at Stirling North, doing a LOT of washing and a big shop Lady Morris hopped on the bike and visited a couple of the local highlights.

New cache has been sourced and placed. A small 'tool' to assist with removal of log sheet has been provided, please ensure it is replaced once signed. Thanks
Cache has vanished. I will reactivate if I can find a suitable replacement.

Hellyonfire was the one to pull off the find here today. Out and about on an early morning caching run. TFTC
Stopped here overnight on my way to Gawler Ranges for some volunteering work. Thanks Captain Sweatpants.
Another cache found during our 2022 South Australia Adventure using Geocaching as our guide.
Thanks for the cache captain sweatpants. It took us a little time to figure out how to get to GZ.

This is another clever hide that would have flummoxed me in earlier days. It did not take me long to find this one as I am very familiar with this type of container. Loving caching in Port Augusta.
Travelled from Canberra to stay with my Dad at Stirling North and took my nieces out to show them the fun of geocaching while here. We had a few DNF's which was disappointing for the girls.
We had just found little mermaid cache and excited to get another smilies. We got close to gz and I spotted a familiar cache and got Violet and Lajah to try and find, gave her a clue and after about 2 mins she touched it and said is this it and I said see if it moves and the excitement on her face was priceless. Log was hard to get out and not much room, signed DD, V and L. Tftc sweatpants

Drove to the levee and scooted over to GZ. Poking at things and knocked the cache flying into the gully Had to pick my way down the embankment and find it
Back up the other side and completed the task, and replaced. I managed to turn this into a high terrain adventure

After traipsing around Western Queensland for 4 1/2 weeks then having to head to Northern Territory then SA to try and get back home that way due to border closures.
After escaping from NT to SA I was spending a few days in SA before heading back to lockdown in Victoria.
Staying at Quorn for a couple of nights and after ditching the van in the caravan park it was time to try and find all of the caches around here and also the ones on the way back to Stirling North.
A lot easier to pull over with out a van.
After finding the first 2 along the levee bank this was the last one before making my way back to the Geocruiser.
Waited for a couple of muggles to pass then I soon spotted the cache and followed the instructions to the T.
Thanks Captain Sweatpants TFTC.

Suburbia is getting closer and closer to this one. A rather long goods train came through as I approached GZ. A quick find here, and I have followed the instructions within. Thanks for the hide and the maintenance Captain Sweatpants.
Just checked and the cache has been removed/lost. I have now replaced it and it is back up and ready to go Thanks for the heads up!
Had a good search around for 15 mins without joy. From reading past logs I think I know what to look for.
Any, I’ll keep a watch on.
Thanks for the cache Captain Sweatpants.

Too tricky for us today. We'll keep an eye on it and hopefully collect in 2 weeks time on the way back through.

Went back for another look while passing through this area. This time I found it after the first time stumbling over it but thinking it was not the right container

Doh! How did we miss that [?].
First for the day and it's always good to start with a find, particularly since we'd looked for this one before .
A quick find today . TNLNSL.

JLWE over for another year and time to leave Quorn.
Travelling with hevwalker and we found your a cache along the way
It was time for lunch so made sandwiches on the side of the road before looking for this cache.
Sneaky, sneaky... in plain sight and overlooked it numerous times.

It was time to farewell Quorn after the JLWE with LiB...
Heading home and collecting a few smileys along the way...
Being lunchtime we used the spot here to pull out the table & prepare it...
With lunch consumed & things packed away we headed to GZ...
That took us so much longer than it should have...
How did we not see that...

Found with e.gregory1 on our way back from the Quorn June Long Weekend Event. Thanks for the cache Captain Sweatpants!
found with mogni on route to the CITO event. Nice themed cache. Needed fuel and the service station wasn't open in Quorn so drove the extra km's to here to get fuel plus i needed a puzzle on this calendar day and we both hadn't found puzzles in port Augusta.
Very well hidden, took us a bit to get it the second time but found it. The log is jammed in the cache though.
Looked everywhere and couldnt find it, kids covered the entire area and had no luck, will try again another day.
Quick find while spending some time in Port Augusta while traveling around Australia. 18 months on the road so far. TFTC
Quick and easy find in the dark here, just as a freight train roared past! Damn they are loud when this close!!

Thanks

Hello just letting people know that this has need replaced by the Brown family 28/9/18
Sorry thought I would replace it as no one can’t find it, it had been found thank you.
Couldn’t find this time it may be gone because you said it was magnetic and fell down
This one was too good for us [)] - maybe time for a check and note to let everyone know if it's still there [?].
Thanks anyway Captain Sweatpants.
Thanks anyway Captain Sweatpants.
Had a really good look. In and around the water pipe. Nothing in the fence resulting pipe either
i found a blue stress ball on the ground at gz. If that was supposed to be keeping the cache in the end of the pipe, it may be gone.
A very sneaky hide which I walked past 3 times in my search [:o)] lol. It was eventually spied. The log is completely full so I added a half sized one so it would still fit in the cache. SL of that at 10:40 on Sat 10 March 2018. {A freight train Westbound went through some 5 minutes prior to the find } TFTC captain sweatpants
Didn’t take too long to spot this one.
Thanks for the cache captain sweatpants. Found on 14 Oct 2017 at 4:12 pm. Find #5237.

Apologies for the late log ... life interrupted my logging. I hate it when that happens!
Mrs Gizmo escaped for a two day caching trip to Port Augusta with Dr Owl and CPwanderer.
Day 2 had us making a few finds before breakfast and a few more before lunch. Then we made our way home, caching along the way.
A short wander and an encounter with a train before a short search and retrieval.

We weren't sure if we took the correct approach to this one. Found after a short search as a big train wandered by!!
CPWanderer, Gizmo's Gang and Owl were heading home after an excellent adventure, but not before a few more caches. This one was an adventure, with a train passing after they had crossed the line. Took a while, but CP eventually spotted it.
Found by Mary & David at 1100. A very interesting place. Parked on the wrong side of the tracks, but it was only a short walk. Found quickly, and in excellent condition. Our thanks to captain sweatpants.
Hi there captain sweatpants.
We found your cache **"Bridge Over Water Trouble"** at 12:03:00 PM today. (This makes our find count 15890).
We cached around the Stirling North area today. On our trek we found a wide variety of container types. & ended up finding 11 caches with 1 DNF's.
Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The magnet has become separated from the main container..
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.
