Nice spot, but as others have noted, this cache needs to be entirely replaced. We found the broken remains - it was in dozens of pieces.
After many, many weeks of being restricted to excercise within my own postcode thanks to COVID, I am getting rather bored with the same streets and parks. However, with restrictions lifted a little bit, Moggill Conservation Park is the right combination of unvisited by me, likely to be quiet of others, has a few geocaches and within travel allowances from home. I decide to grab the last few icons in the north from Mill Road and a 7.2 kilometre circuit around them.
Having followed Centre Road along the northern-most tracks, I descend into Tower Break which follows Ugly Creek. The track here was much narrower, darker in the gully and reception meant I dropped entirely from an online meeting I was listening to. Oddly though, it was extremely quiet down there, even of animals. But it was very dry in the creek too. I came to the large junction with Powerline Road and headed uphill.
So much descent prior means there was now a huge amount of ascent. At least the track was an even grade, bent around contours and pushed me back into reception to rejoin my meeting. As I got close, I glanced back at the listing to see what I should know. Doing this, I realised how close I was to [A bench with a view](https://coord.info/GL119AQ6J) that I'd been at almost an hour ago.
Under the powerlines, a single feature stood out and I made my way up to it. Unfortunately inside is a mess of bits of plastic and paper. No way I could sign it, but also nothing on me but a pen, car keys and headphones. This does need to be maintained pretty badly. Maybe a future finder can bring along a 200mL sistema?
I did snap some photos as the view from GZ was pretty nice. Soon after I'd left I spotted a car wrecked down a gully. From what I could tell it's an old panelvan; maybe a 1960's model Falcon station wagon. I wasn't descending the see gully for a closer look, but I could see it had four-wheel drum brakes! Thanks for placing this geocache, Fizzpasta

The plans changed dramatically this morning and (long story short) I ended up here wandering up a hill A brief respite while I achieved some vertical gain and logged the wounded cache.
Under other circumstances there would be caching supplies on board. But nothing in my daypack that could fix this bird

Definitely needs some maintenance. Log book is destroyed by rain and container is broken
Found with jemillalucy today. Container needs attention its deteriorated signed log. Tftc
Oops after our energetic walk our caching kids forgot their trades. Easily located the cache and admired the view. TFTC
A new cache nearby provided the motivation to grab this one. Having climbed the nearby hill and met KeepingUpWith for a joint FTF, we took a leisurely stroll on our return, allowing me to collect a few caches in the area (which KUW had already done).
A precarious climb up the slope to grab this one. The container is in pieces, brittle and badly sun damaged. I signed a piece of logbook and put a rock over the replaced cache, hoping to give it a bit of protection.
And nearly 7 months of unloved to boot! Many thanks Fizzpasta

After dropping my son off at Allowah Scout Camp, I decided to do a few caches. These had been on my list to do for a while. The cache is broken. One log book (which I wrote on) is dry but really hard paper mache. The other log in a bag is wet. TFTC!
The lid of the container has suffered badly from the weather and looks more like a puzzle.
Couldn't spot straight away. After some more exercise I soon saw something odd. TFTC
Mrs Just a Trifle was out for a bit of caching with Raynersinoz and barbbowman with our target area being the Moggill Conservation Reserve. We had a terrific walk and some adventujres around the reserve.
Thank you Fizzpasta for having placed the cache and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Today's caching adventure started with a request from barbb - can we please go for some caches with T = 3.0. "No problem" I say, "I've found just the spot". Off to Moggill Consevation Park we go with JAT who is back from holidays.
A gentle up to this cache and a beautiful view. A nice easy find. JAT provided a new log for the one that is in a bad way in the container. TFTC Fizzpasta

I visited the western side of the Park a while ago, but didn't have time then to continue the walk. The three caches at the northern were my targets for today. I parked on Mill Rd, geared up, sent a message to T-Tech that I was going bush, and set off up Pullen Creek Break, soon diverting onto Centre Road then Tower Break to get "Helmet Hill". Then I came back up Tower Break, along Centre Road and down Powerline Road to this one.
A tad tricky to get up to GZ, and I had the co-ords about 8 metres off, but I'm blaming the powerlines right above. And I very quickly spotted what was odd The container is suffering out in the sunlight and the lid is damaged so it is no longer waterproof. TFTC, Fizzpasta.

I was heading out for a day of fun on the geocycle and geosurfski too. I have ridden in this patch of bush once before. I headed up to Mermaid Mountain from here a few years ago. A grand ride that day. Just a quick one today though.
I had back tracked a bit from my previous find to get to this one. This was not the easiest in bike shoes. A slight detour was necessary to reach the objective.
This was my last cache in here and the ride back down to the car was awesome. [^]

Decided today was the perfect day for a stroll around this area and grab the rest of these caches. Lovely walk up to here. I took a photo of the trail map before i entered and was glad i did - very handy having a reference to where i was going (and knowing i hadn't missed the turn). I was even more impressed with the trail signage around the place.
Once at GZ i looked around and feared i knew where it could be. Hmmm... is there an easier way? After a look around decided no matter which way it wasn't going to be pleasant for me. Took the direct route, signed the cache and then how to return to the path??? Not too proud to say it - on my backside. Yikes! Think i need shoes with better grip.
Thanks for this cache Fizzpasta, it's a beautiful place.

After finding Helmet Hill I made my way to the top of the hill intending to follow a power line trail down to GZ. Hmmm....no trail, it's on the map but not on the ground. Still, the view from the top was well worth it. Back to the task at hand....No problem, a bit of cross country soon had me at GZ. Spotted the hide from a way off and soon had business done. Happy to find the elusive trail here and followed it back to the Centre Road then it was easy going back to the car. TFTC
Don't look down indeed! Bit of an adventure to get to GZ

3rd of 4 to be done in Moggill Forest. This was a heart pumping start to the day. and a fair old walk in already. Parked on Mill Lane.
Thanks for making it possible CO.

Set out today for a bit of exploring in this area and had this unfound cache in the GPSr ... just in case. Well, after going just about everywhere else, I eventually made the find. It's only five and a bit kms from where I parked, but I managed to travel over 20 on the way there . Well, no one ever said you HAVE to go the shortest way . TFTC
The rest of the family had to meet up with friends early this morning just down the road so I took this as a good opportunity to grab the caches in this particular area. I decided to start on Early Morning Glory first and loop around to grab the other caches on the return leg. I'm still tossing up whether this was a bad decision or not. Going this way the up parts of the track were extremely steep with the down parts a slow gradual descent. I don't know if steep descents but longer lasting though gentler uphills are better? My legs certainly knew they were alive today but I pushed myself all the way (having a deadline I had to join up with the family again), slogging non-stop up hill and jogging the flatter and downhill sections to make up time. I timed my arrival perfectly at GZ because just as I arrived some muggle walkers came from the opposite direction and passed me right there. Another couple of minutes and I would have been in mid find with not a lot of option to avoid detection. In the end I managed to find the cache without any problems Certainly an enjoyable spot to go walking . Completely exhausted by the end of the trail but happy with the effort I put in.. Tftc
I was a quest to clear some of my closer unfound caches and this was fifth on my list for the afternoon. I was looking forward to getting to the Moggill State Forest and stretching my legs. As it turns out I made it to Wide Open Spaces in double time.
This was because nature was calling, but there was a family of slow joggers just a hundred meters behind me on the track. Every-time I powered up a hill and thought I would get a chance to make a sneaky step into the bushes I would spot one puff around a corner...
Well I lost them in the end and was relieved when I got to GZ.
Getting close I checked the hint and decided that I would do this one sans-gps. I spotted the hide pretty quick and after one aborted attempt made it up to grab the cache.
I signed up and then noticed that the lid on the cache was smashed [:0]. Now I am not usually kitted out with much when I go caching, but I do carry my little swaps in a Sistema, so I switched the lids, and hey presto, cache is back to tip-top condition.
Thanks for the great walk and the lovely view Fizzpasta!

A pleasant Sunday walk in the forest with Gunnie69 and our better halves netted this one. Great walk, great cache, thanks [apologies for lengthy delay in logging]
Walking the circuit with Gib69 and our "better" halves, we wandered in from the South West and maintained a clockwise approach to the trek. Apart from a wee double back from Helmet Hill, that plan worked well... [^] Up and up to this one, the ladies took to finding shade as Gib69 and I went in search of the cache. The tell tale sign on the way in gave the game away and Gib69 moved in for the grab. Cache launched in my direction for business, that was sorted and after a couple of obligatory pics, we pushed on. One more in this loop then a cleansing ale awaits...
Cheers Fizzpasta.
Cheers Fizzpasta.
Found it after a bit of a hunt - turns out my new GPS is more than 12metres out. Love this forest. Hike, jog and ride it every day. Thank you!
Just what I needed, an early morning walk in the Wide Open Spaces. It was a very enjoyable walk and I just happened to bump into the CO of Helmet Hill. T-0 D-0 TFTC
After finding tyamolum, I decided I still had a little more time before school pickup, anyway heading down hill from tyamolum, I slipped on my butt, grazes on my hand and my ankle is a little sore, only a km to this one, I think I can make it, off I go. I get to GZ and find where I have to go and find something to help me up, I get up and begin to search, hmmm lots of rocks this could take a while then I see something far more obvious which is basically what I used to help me up, why didn't I notice that before? Oh well sign the log and down on my butt I go hoping not to score any more scrapes, luckily not, now to race off to the car so I can do school pick up.
This was my second cache along this walk this morning with Swellerfungus and Pippa - geodog.
Got to the GZ easy enough and then saw the direction I had to go. Swellerfungus had already done this one so he just sat down and got ready to watch.
Figured I might as well start clambering up, that was fun, not! Not when Pippa decides she will follow and just sailed past me and stood up above looking down with a look of "what's taking so long".
Anyway I got up there and thought this would be quick.....but I couldn't see it anywhere. Eventually I broaden my search and spot it's location.....and then a muggle comes by and has a chat so I have to wait even longer!
Anyway, signed the log, watched Pippa run down, and prepared to slide down on my bot!
Thanks Fizzpasta for this cache. Gave me a great view.

A really enjoyable walk around this area on my own this morning. It was interesting seeing the 'cut' through the forest by the power company. Certainly a change of scenery from the rest of this walk. 50meters shy of GZ and I passed 2 yummy mummies out walking there dogs, and after seeing what was required to reach e cache, I was hoping they didn't double back...some real explaining to do if they did! Fortunately I didn't see them again for the rest of the trip. I found an easier way up albeit a longer trip, but certainly easier than scrambling up the scree. Log signed and I used Nurseyjulies slippery slide back to ground level.
Loved coming here...thanks for making me!

Love a bit of rock climbing. When I got up and looked around, saw an obvious spot - good hint! A slip and slide on my bum down after signing the log was worth the fun of getting this one! TFTC
After taking care of Helmet Hill, I wandered on to this one. I was there so quickly I nearly walked right by, still staring out across the valley. So, a bit of rock scrambling, eh? Not a problem, but I'd be very careful about those last couple of steps!
The plastic bag is now needing some repair and I fear I didn't have one this size on me, but the cache itself is in perfect condition with a totally dry logsheet. I added a Corvette just for thrills and took some TB photos.
At last, I wandered back out and to my great surprise, soon came across an older muggle pair walking the trails. What are the odds? TFTC Fizzpasta.
PS I strongly recommend walking in from the North, along Mill Rd and then down the obvious official track. It made for a nice short walk through green terrain with all the good views.

Out for a hike around this piece of bush land grabbing a few caches on a beautiful, clear Winter's day.
This was the second find of the hike. After clambering up the embankment I started my search. After a few minutes i stood up and looked around and instantly saw GZ. Clever hide. The cache is dry and in good condition. Thanks for the cache.

Nice view from here. Agowyd discovered the cache... and ants. I shouted encouragement from the road. Agowyd liked his ants and did the fandango slapping everything.
Together with Schatz and our little cache helpers and the second one today in this forest. Was a quick found.
There is also a wracked car in the forest next to it. Seems this happened long time ago.

Took the direct approach down from the top. Great view from up there. Excellent hiding spot, very creative. I also saw the old car that had crashed off the trail/fire break. TFTC
I hit the right spot first time for this one, but not the second or third or fourth time, so decided the first spot HAD to be right after all. And it was! TNLN TFTC What a maze of fire trails the4re are in this area.
Had some technology problems at GZ which I still don't understand. We'd continued on from A very Aussie Cache having recorded the coordinates by (actually on) hand just in case phone reception had dropped out. After walking further and switching to c:geo, I noted that I'd recorded the wrong coordinates (or so I thought) and put it down to advancing age.
As we approached GZ, Mr CF noted a possible hiding spot but no, the GPSr said further - about another 35m. So, having located GZ to within a few meters, the search began - there were quite a few likely spots nearby including one very definite spot. After 20minutes of fruitless searching I widened the search area and then, on a hunch, checked that original spot where the cache was quickly found - thanks.
The upshot was that the geocaching app had he correct coordinates (as listed on this page) but c:geo came up with something slightly different - perhaps older?
Anyway, we enjoyed the walk and the opportunity for some exercise and fresh air - TFTC.

We trudged onto this one. Of course, the Fangsoki approach was more difficult than it needed to be. Making the terrain "3" cache a terrain "4". Loki spotted it after a small hunt and in good condition. An original hiding spot that seems to work. Freaked out some people passing on horses - but they will get over it TFTC Fizzpasta
Great views!! Continued on after grabbing the other new cache in the area. Ahh that's why the 3 terrain rating! Started searching the wrong area before turning around and spotting the cache. Of course that was when 3 horse riders came past wasn't it?! No dramas getting back to the path and we admired the views before moving on. Thanks Fizzpasta
While here we decided that as we had missed out on the FTF for another cache in the area we would extend our walk and grab some others. We had not realised at the time that this one was also very new so grabbed silver on this one also. I did the retrieval work on this one as hubby is a little broken at the moment. TNLN TFTC
Pleasant walk up from the car park. Your four legged geodog can have a drink about 3/4 along the way at the water tank. Good work fizzpasta!
