Perth/Darwin TripI wasn't sure if we should drive up the hill but decided to chance it after reading previous logs. Sure am glad we didn't have to walk up that hill! Magnificent views and a cool old cache. Joolay and I are travelling to WA and NT to qualify for a challenge that requires you to find a cache in every Australian state in a calendar year. Thanks for hiding and maintaining this cache SNAFUADV
After ignoring the do not enter we ventured up the hill for an easy find and fabulous views. So cool to get this oldie.Perth visit over and now for NT chasing all States and Territories in a year with Kittykatch. Looking forward to the adventure. Thanks for getting me out and about SNAFUADV
Love the redundant signs. Magnificient views.Freddo and e.gregory1 were heading up the middle of Australia following Stuart's well trodden route. We were travelling in air conditoned comfort and style. No stale food. No camels to carry water. We were leaving the cold winter for the northern season.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is the ninth day of Augustus Caesar's Month in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was so hot. No wind today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. I found this cache on a trip from Adelaide to the top end with Freddo for a few weeks. That was a fun drive, except for all those speed bumps! The cache was a quick find and was in good condition. Thanks SNAFUADV for the cache.
That was some drive up. I'm glad we didn't walk. OMG, what's with the speed bumps? Sure, know when you go over one of those, especially the top ones. Really good to get up there though as they are great views, great old cache!
A caching trip from Canberra, ACT to Cape York, Qld and then around the gulf to East Arnhem Land, NT.Now with a detour to Thursday Island, Mabuiag Island, Mornington Island and finally along the Savannah Way through Hells Gate, then Nhulunbuy and Wadeye.TFTC. A very steep road to the top for some very excellent views. Awesome.
Wow.. that was quite the drive.... the speed bumps got worse the higher we got, not that there was much chance of speeding. Cache was found quickly then we have the daunting task of driving back down. Tftc
Travelling with richlink on a trip from Perth to Darwin and return through the centre to SA and home again. We are in Darwin for a few days before heading south again.
Today, we drove to Adelaide River, enjoying the scenery, history, and, of course, the caches along the way. And we couldn't let this old cache escape. Thanks SNAFUADY.

Travelling with iluvtrekking and a return visit after eleven years. Today we are caching down to Adelaide River and surrounds. Very steep hill but great views. Thanks for the hide.
We decided to ride our mountain bikes up here. It was a very steep hill and the brakes got a workout on the way back down. Being from nz I don't fully understand the reasoning behind the burnouts. The reason we thought was not the actual reason after speaking to someone about them. The cache has survived the fire. Thanks for placing it.
Ober Dinner a few Nights earlier at moorish cafe irondale asked which are the oldest caches in the NT so I came up with a list and we thought we would go with this one, glad we did as it ended up being just burnt out. The cache has survived though and the 10 year old replacement container was safe in its rock hide. Would have been a better view up here if it wasn’t for the bushfires but we will take what we can get. TFTC
Cache 9888 on 25 Mar 2023.
Greetings from the ACT! TikvaNZ and I are finally in Darwin after our initial plan to travel to Darwin in August 2020 was thwarted by COVID 19 travel coming to a grinding halt! Just here for the weekend, so focusing on different types, counties and a few different DT combinations!
Great views from up on this hill! We did drive up, crazy steep though! Cache was a quick find, small size. A couple of TBs visited this cache !
Thanks SNAFUADV for the cache and the fun!

AngelG27 and I are finally in Darwin from Canberra for the weekend. This trip was originally booked for August 2020, so we are finally using up our travel credits. Today's focus was counties from Darwin to Katherine with some interesting short walks thrown in. A fun drive up to this cache, Cache easily found. Great views. TFTC.

Today we are driving south from Litchfield to Katherine. We decided to take the quiet road for a while and stop to find this old Hide.
Given we were pulling our camper trailer, we decided to leave the car and camper trailer down at the road, and made the walk up a very steep hill to GZ.
It was peaceful, and the views on the way up and from the top were spectacular.
After signing the log on this old one, we gradually made our way back down the hill. Going down was easier on the heart and the lungs, but gave the knees a workout.
Thanks SNAFUADV

We made the slow pilgrimage to the top of the hill and enjoyed the views. Being such an old cache made the wander worthwhile but we were knackered by the finish of our trek.
We were driving to Katherine for the first time ever exploring the Northern Territory so we were more tourist than cachers as there was so much to look at, and if we did all the caches we wouldnt get all the sight seeing in. Just means another trip up from South Australia is on the cards.
Thanks SNAFUADV for the cache. Took nothing left nothing.

It is definitely a spectacular vista!!! I like the hill sign "use road at your own risk". Did wonder if the car would keep traction a few times on the way up!

This cache may be accessable by 2WD in 2002 but now it is a real 4WD track. This road was never repaired in the last 18 years.
Good to have a car which can do this.

Long walk up the hill for me and the dog. Great cords. TFTC. Please beware there was a baby snake directly under the cache. Hopefully my disturbance will make it move but suggest sticks are in order.
TFTC! WOW!! Awesome view. Road is very corroded. Was a mission in my 4wd Hilux.
Found after a short search. A beautiful view but definitely wouldn’t bring a 2WD up here. TFTC
Well, that was an interesting drive!! Lots of potholes and gullies going up a steep hill, made us thankful for our 4WD. When the cache was placed, this was obviously a bitumen road going up, but it's that no longer. Definitely would not go up there with a 2WD. Views from the top are amazing. TFTC
I don't think you should drive a 2wd Up there

After the hype of finding my first 5/5 yesterday, I thought today would be a quiet one as we continue our meandering across northern Australia after attending the Red Centre Experience over Easter. Pa was very generous in the afternoon but we didn't manage to find many caches as we travelled to Batchelor where we are camped.
This was find #1 and I left Pa with the van while I drove to the top and found the cache. After adding my name to the log I replaced the cache where I found it. Not much of a view up here as there was low cloud/mist filling the valleys. However the views were more visible on the way down. It certainly was an interesting drive - not one Pa would normally leave me alone to do, but then he didn't know what was in front of me.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for us to find. TNLN SL

Phew bit of a mission to get up to this one!! The road is interesting to say the least! Great views! TFTC
Now travelling north towards Darwin after the Red Centre Experience.
Caching towards Adelaide River for ANZAC day. Of course we stopped for a few caches along the way. The list was soooo long today that we didnt finish and ended up free camping along the way and no pub dinner was had.

Adelaide River
Decided to head to Adelaide River for Anzac Day.
After setting up camp we headed out to locate the caches nearby.
I think the terrain ratuing for this is a little low. I realise now that in 2002 when this was placed the road to the top must have been in much better condition.
Great views from the top, worth a favourite point.

This one turned out to be a fair bit easier than we expected. The road in is a bit rough with lots of potholes but mostly sealed. We did engage 4WD but did it easily in high range. Great views from this location. A quick find and sign on the cache. Thanks for bringing us here & TFTC.
Out and about from Adelaide River we took the tourist route to visit many new and interesting places. We picked this one up on the way. A good 4x4ing to the cache.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

My poor car and my poor teeth. Bit of a bumpy road but amazing views from the top. TFTC
There you go - don't know how many times I stopped over here in the last 3 years on the way through to the Apostles - and all the while a cache right underneath my nose!
Been up and along the following 4x4 track a few years ago before I even knew about caching. Forgot how fun the trails were. Thanks for the excuse and the view!
Unhooked the caravan on the side of the road, and up the hill we went.
First gear, all the way. Very steep with lots of pot holes.
Once on top of the hill the views were awesome, but a bit foggy due to fires in the area.
With the cache soon found, we went nice and steady down the hill and back to the van..
Thanks for the cache, SNAFUADV.

We had be attracted to the 5/5 at Robin Falls and we saw this one was an old cache so we also ear marked that for a find. We saw the hill and then the turn off for the track up. Its was certainly a steep road up with a few pot holes to test out the FWD traction. We stopped close to GZ and after a short search made the find. Nice to pick up an old one. Great views from up here. We completed the signing duties and re hid.

Took a bit to find the right road up to this one. Great views from GZ and cache an easy find. Slow drive back down the very pot holed road! Thanks SNAFUADV for the cache
My caching day started early after a good nights sleep at Robin Falls
After finding the cache down on the little hill, I kept strolling up the hill to the ridgeline.
Then it was just a pleasant amble for about 200 metres to reach the tower
But about 80 metres from GZ I could hear the unmistakable racket of dirt bike muggles
Great timing !!
Well these sort of muggles are not interested in the scenery so they shouldn't be stopping long and so I sat down in a shady spot for a fizzy drink
And after 15 minutes, sure 'nuff, off they rode
I dashed in to find the cache before anyone else turned up
TFTC and views and excuse for a little hill climb [^]
From here I followed the ridge lines back to the top of Robin Falls to try to find the cache hidden there.

What a road! Missed a few potholes on the way up, but I'm sure I got them all on the way down!

Excellent view from the top. A slow trip up in low gear, the road is looking a bit washed out in places. Thanks Ian and Penny for replacing the cvache. It sounds like the original owner is no longer active. T4TC.
This was our 1st cache in our caching run today - and we found it at around 09:06.
(So this is our 4622nd total find.)
We came upon a fire ravaged site with a lonely pile of rocks at GZ. As there was no cache in evidence, and suspecting it was missing (from a previous log), we replaced the entire cache.
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Thanks SNAFUADV for the hunt today.

The Little White Wombat triumphed again... but all the way up in first gear... and all the way down again.
The view from the top was quite speccy, especially as rain could be seen falling, in the distance. And here we are in the middle of the dry, too!
The cache is a bit or a repository for distinctly second-hand electronics - and there are no trackables of any sort there.

Dont like driving at heights, so started to drive up this hill and couldn't bring myself to continue.
Had to wait until I could get a 4x4 to get up on the hill. Great views, easy find. Walked to top of Robyn Falls whilst there.
In the general area and drove up to show some relatives the view. Checked the cache while we were there which is in good shape. Didn't notice any trackables though.
Great spot and well hidden. Well worth getting to the top. Interesting contents and swapped tatoos for marbles. WOPRRA and geoson Brodie

Found it easily on the way to Whoop Whoop with 2 geonewbies and one geokiddie. Lovely views, and took a few photos that strangely enough look very similar to what's already been published
Took koala keyring (coz otherwise the geokiddie cried) and the tupperware keyring, and left Nate's Nameless Bug. Great location, and first of three for the day (Whoop Whoop and Rockin' Robin).
