We couldn't even see it, no idea if its in there or not but it would appear to be unreachable
Found this one but it fell right down inside the stump when we were getting to retrieve it. It's still in there just way down low on the Throsby side inside the stump.
Many visits signed dsd or DARKSIDEDAN depending on the size of the cache thanks for the cache and the adventure
After finding the new nearby Watery Wildlife cache I took a walk over here to check this one out. I had previously logged a DNF after seeing something at the bottom of the stump that looked like a swap item or something and with nothing else that looked like a cache nearby.
I'm not sure what's going on here. Whatever was there before is gone and there is an item deep down in the bottom of the other stump that may be a cache container or may be something like the end of a broom handle (or a rake - someone mentioned one of those in a log). The CO's most recent maintenance log said a Sistema had been placed, but there is nothing like that here - unless it is hidden somewhere other than the stump.
Anyway, the thing in the stump is about two metres down at the bottom of a narrow hollow (see photos). There is no way of getting it other than with something like some deftly deployed wire.
All a bit of a mystery...

Ok got it after 20 minutes of trying to reach the rake . Think it needs a string attached to it or something
Was hoping to turn this frown upside down and wasn't expecting another DNF. Checked both stumps for fun and still came up empty.
Probably overlooking something obvious, of well spotted two stump tail lizards patrolling the new fence line and have a new TE cache to find so not all doom and gloom. Guess I could be back...

Cache maintenance done. Cache is good to go again. Original cache replaced with Sistema container
Good Day,
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Looking forward to hearing from you,

Even with the DNFs and reviewer note I just had to pay tribute to this one. Thought I could see something in the depths of the stump but not even my long arms were going there.
Was able to stalk an echidna near GZ and get caught in the storm so still totally worth it
Thanks Bruce, whereever you are

Ducked out while on a ride to take a look at this one, unfortunately seems to no longer be here
I have found this one a year or two ago but didn't have a pen with me. The plastic trowel/fork/rake is missing. I remember the location and as the previous post mentions there is just some yellow plastic at the bottom. Someone has definitely taken it.
A nice ride through Mulligans and Goorooyaroo cleaning up some strays. I really enjoyed going along some peaceful and beautiful tracks I have never been down before and up perhaps the only big hill in there that I hadn't climbed before.
I've long admired this pond, but I don't think I'd been to this side of it. Made my way through the long grass where the GPS pointed to something that clearly matched the hint (and was the only one of its kind about). There were two possible hiding places in this feature and neither of them held a cache. Using a torch I saw something plastic - like a swap item - at the bottom of the deeper one. It was too deep to reach and there was nothing in there. There were a few long sticks in the feature, like someone had been playing around with it. I have to conclude that this one is missing.

Made the hike from nearby to make a fairly quick find before the heat settled in! TFTC Bruce's Run.
Found with The Matetrix, geokids 2 and 3. Hiked over the hill from the burbs with the kids. Sunny but getting a bit windy on the open plains. A quick find once at GZ. TNLNSL TFTC
6 of 7 finds on a glorious Tuesday afternoon in Mulligans flat.
Wasn't too keen about sticking my hand down there....but in the end all was fine!

I swung past here after dropping ZQX home after a morning caching in the Namadgi. The cache was easily found. A pleasant afternoon for a wander here. TFTC.

We decided to come over to Canberra to clean up this area, the weather has been perfect for us to cache. All were found in good condition, we were surprised not to see more people out today. We enjoyed ourselves. TFTC
I was looking forward to getting near this cache, due to the Lagoon nearby. GZ was pretty obvious, however, the cache was a bit daunting, I thought I was looking at a large 6 legged insect!
Fortunately it wasn't, and cache was quickly in hand. TFTC!

This was an amazing cache. Loved the ride up here through Mulligans, and was intrigued by the nearby lake with the trees in the middle. It was a great place to come, very quiet and relaxing and then the cache!
Very unique container and idea, haven't seen one EXACTLY like this before Lucky there was an inner cache, because the outer one had lots of water. I will be adding a favourite for the location, history and creativeness. Thanks
(I couldn't see Sausagebags in the logbook, it might be a fake find?)
I think I might also be the first person here for 7 months! That's quite a long time for a cache with this difficulty

Very interesting history - thanks for sharing. Enjoyed reading about the ploughlands although the subtleties are lost on me I fear - I can't really spot anything from the aerial images... I did spot the fun cache though. All is well with the container.

TFTC. Nice hide. Very easy to find following a pleasant stroll around the wetlands nearby.
Out for a bit of Friday arvo caching on yet another beautiful spring day. Another unusual cache container. Tftc.
Ha ha, very cute. Another easy find on a pleasant trip around the nature reserve. SL TFTC
There was a sleepy possum in the stump, or what we think was a possum. It was hard to see the animal clearly. We were amused how it refused to have its sleep interrupted by us. A favourite for this. TFTC Bruce's Run.
We visited a number of caches this afternoon. I enjoy walking about Mulligan's Flat. TFTC.
Another nice trip to the area, but this time by bike. Glad I brought the torch!
Nice container and all good.
Thanks

1042: Neat little cache container. Nearly missed it, as the others already had. TFTC Bruce's Run.
Thanks Bruce's run for the history lesson again.

Once again a fascinating insight to this local area by Bruce's run and a clever hide.
Sunday 22 September 2013 - warm muggy overcast (mostly) spring afternoon with little or no breeze. Thx ABS friends for this 10,000 steps adventure. Thx PaMS. Quick and easy find. TFTC.
#650 - 17:30; The 24 in 24 challenge ended with this one as number 22 . Took the long way round as the water from the dam came back towards the reserve much farther than I'd anticipated and in the half light, the going wasn't as quick as I'd hoped. Should have had the gloves to do this one, but toughed it out. The container earns a favourite from me. TFTC Bruce's Run
I had walked to within 20m of this one last year, but I could not stop and look for the cache - I had other things to do. I returned this day with TaurusSix and found it quickly if timidly without gloves.
Found this creative cache nice and easy! I really enjoy walking through this reserve. The cache wasn't the only thing I found though...on the way I found a lost little friend of the long-necked turtle variety. It was up against the fence and was stuck Picked up my new smelly friend to take with me on the journey to the cache. We both stopped for the cache, then continued on to the dam, where I let my little friend go
A pleasant stroll on a quiet Friday afternoon followed by a quick find. Loved the container. TFTC
6804. [green]Last time I was out this way it was ankle deep mud etc. so didn't manage to get the ones I was going for. Today there were no issues and even had a long chat with a ranger that was doing rabbit control. A quick find, then a scratch and then time to head to the next one after returning the scratcher to its spot. [/green]

Found just on sunset -beautiful. Surrounded by frogs, Roos and those wascally wabbits
516. This was one of the finds out of 52 that I found with Cankid today. We went on about a 40 km bike ride around the Mulligans flat area, and most of the containers we found were quite abnormal.
This cache was a quick find, as we found it in the open. Covered it up a bit as we left. Nice container!
Thanks for the cache, Bruces run

After a fun little walk in the chilly windy afternoon, I arrived here, and almost did not work out the cache. When I was thawed out a bit I found it and finished it off. Now back to the car before it rains properly. Thanks.

852. It was a bit quiet at work today, so decided to take the afternoon off and have a stroll around "the flat". Pictured myself finding a mint tin on an old plough or something like that. Cant say I was dissappointed. My chosen route back from here was more than interesting. Headed north west and had to negotiate creeks and pools of water. Must get wet when it really rains. Also spotted one of the elusive rabbits living within the reservre. TFTC.
Very cool container. There seems to be a lot of roos around here for a roo-free zone. Feeling extremely dizzy today, but lots of different bird calls filling the air to make me feel better. TFTC.
Loved the container for this one, and a great spot to hide it. Took a couple of goes to pull it out and I was wondering why until the container was revealed and I was quite surprised. Enjoyed grabbing this one from the edge of the woodlands before heading out into the open ground for our next cache.
Found on a nice cold morning. After a very peaceful walk through the frozen dirt and beautiful wide lands, the cache was found quickly. A very cool container, well done! Nice area. TFTC Bruce's Run, a good one!
Another clever and creative hide. Loved reading about this place as I made my way to the GC. TFTC and for expanding my knowledge of this area, yet again.
A quick find on a stroll through Mulligans Flat. A great day to take the stroll and sun.

Picked a good day to do our Mulligans expedition with Hccatcher11415, Allrounder and Shadow! This one needed some tricky navigation around the soggy watercourse with Allrounder leading the way....huge mosquitoes. Arrive at GZ to find very cute camo.

Yet again chose the wrong way to approach this cache and got wet feet because of it.
Nearly didn't see it with the dark colour and the shadows this morning.
Off again for 3 more Bruces caches in a row!
Cheers

After an almost DNF at Bruce's Dam (Captain Tomato was in the process of taking off his shoes when I thought to double-check the logs) it was a quick find by CT, although he had to stick his hand in a cloud of flying bugs to make the grab. Out with CT on a 20km day through Goorooyaroo. 16 caches and 2 trigs.
Thanks Bruce.
Thanks Bruce.
Found with noikmeister. An interesting read on the history of the ploughlands. My father started his working career behind a single furrough mouldboard plough and a draft horse, but soon moved to the ease and comfort of a tractor and disc plough.
A nice easy find, but the red-eyed monsters emerging from the hide were a bit of a put-off. Actually they were just a horde of harmless Drosophila (vinegar flies) but sticking my hand in amongst them was 'fun'.

Two things were amusing at this cache - the first was the puzzled look on Mr Winglen's face as he withdrew the cache from its hole (I think you could describe it as 'what the ?'). He hadn't read the name of the cache so didn't understand the significance. The other funny thing was the galah in the tree immediately above us, who kept looking down waving his wings and screeching at us, as if to say 'go away go away'.
This is an interesting historic site, and out of curiosity I have looked at the aerial view. I see there are more ploughlands around Inglewood, in fact quite extensive ones. Also enjoyable about this bike ride from the dam around to this cache was the breathtaking expanse of kangaroo grass - so thick it looked like a crop, with its chunky seedheads waving slightly. Gorgeous.
Thanks for the cache to attract us out here, Bruce's Run. Very interesting.

Got to this cache today and made a quick find. Didnt work out why the cache had been placed here until coming back home and reading the description. Thanks for the history lesson and TFTC.
Ahhh
Looking from above really does show up the hidden highlights of the area.
Nice one, thanks for the history and thanks for the cache.
