Out with Geobro and up from the Bellarine for the day attempting to complete this seriesTFTC
Found 15/4/24 on a fabulous day out caching with Little Merpip. Thanks for an amazing series.
Back out hunting caches in this great reserve today with Team_Roberts1. Great weather and great to walk around gathering more of this great series. Not many to go now!Another quick findThanks to Team Woodlands again.
Back to working on the Woodlands 100 with Arrow15. Great hide, quick find. Last stop for the day - exhausted, but already planning next trip to collect the rest!
After dropping some peeps off at the Airport, it was time to tackle these again. This was my third visit, and armed with an extra battery and sunscreen, I suspect it may be my last. All were found fast, with a few exceptions. I love walking in this area, and once you get 1km from the car park, you don't see anyone at all; which suits me perfectly!
After having just spent a lovely week with my family, it was time for them to return home. I dropped them off at the airport for their early morning flight then made my way back out to this area for my second visit to find the Woodlands series of caches. I found eight caches during my previous visit here but today, with much more spare time available, I was determined to find many more. Unfortunately I was unable to find all the remaining caches during this visit, so I will definitely be returning for at least a third time in the near future.Hmm.... I'm a little bit late to writing my logs to these caches which I found a few weeks ago. I seem to have forgotten how this one was hidden. All I've got written down in my notes were quick find and in good condition. Also apparently I heard many planes nearby.TFTC
Theres sun forecast and I need to finish the woodland series. This is our 4th visit to complete the 100. Today we rode for 2.5hrs, shed some blood and finished with a 1.5km walk to grab a previous DNF and turn it into a smiley. Thanks for this wonderful series
This morning I had to drop a group at the airport for an early flight, so took the opportunity to pack my MTB in the bus and go caching.
The golden light of dawn was starting to spread across the landscape. A nice find. All in good condition.

I started running a bit but persisted doing the caches.
My kids and hubby are at two different camps with Scouts. I set myself a goal to complete this series so I could sign off a Challenge cache of 100 caches owned by one CO. Unfortunately, five are behind a locked, fenced off area for Eastern Barred Bandicoot. It was an amazing day with the weather being perfect. I started at 11am & finished at 5pm. Big day!!

Many thanx to Team Woodlands for the series and ongoing maintenance - well done
Look forward to a return visit to complete the series

A huge day out with a total of 69 caches found for the day (including #100 for me and #1000 for jaamc_3335). A big thank you to team TACKT for inviting me along for the adventure and Team Woodlands for placing and maintaining all the logs!
On a beautiful sunny winters day Team TACKT + C set off for on our mission, nice quick find, thanks for placing this series
Out and about with Team T.A.C.K.T including Jaamc, Kpatt and tag along cazzajane07. We had a goal to tackle this series to help cover milestones for some of our members, 69 caches down, 20km of park explored and we had a blast, there was laughter, tears, the occasional swear as we took on the long hike and we all had a fantastic day out with the team :3
Out for a walk today with my muggle friend, our aim was to knock over some more of this series. One section seemed to be locked…the three gates we passed all had locks on them. Really enjoying the whole area…so many kangaroos.
Thanks for placing the cache Team_Woodlands.
Given the weather report for the next few days I thought I might duck out while the rain was holding off and get a bit of cache exercise in.
I’ve been slowly ticking off this series so thought I’d knock off one of the sections.
This may not be the lookout but it would appear that the airline industry is getting back to normal as the volume of plane takeoffs was constant.
Log book replaced to keep this section consistent.
Thanks Team_Woodlands for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

I has been a while since I have been out to Woodlands, but I had a free morning, so I thought I should make a start with this series.
Unloaded the deadly treadly about 9am on a cool overcast day, just perfect for a ride.
The first half a dozen had pristine log books, and were all in excellent condition.
Then I came across one with a quarter full logbook! What is happening here? Just past the next cache I met up with the CO who was doing maintenance. Stopped for a chat.
All the other caches I did today were in good condition - a great job with the maintenance.
Thanks for keeping this series up long enough for me to get around to them
Completed a loop of about 35 caches this morning. I will be back.
I saw the lookout as I traveled between the caches. One day I must go there and see what it shows.
Thanks, Robmc.

Incorporating a Sunday arvo trail run, in this beautiful park, with Geocaching while in Melbourne. Great Cache. Thank you.

A day trip down to do the Woodland series of caches.
Took our bicycles and FUF009 came with us.
Arrived at the gate, unloaded our bikes, had a cuppa and off we went getting our first cache at 8.55am.
We worked our way through the series stopping several times to watch the coming and going of the jets at Tullamarine.
After a long warm day with several challenges, we arrived back at the car park for a rest and well earned cuppa.
We put the clues together, punched in the co-ords and went and claimed the final cache of the series.

Well this has been a long time coming, to do the Woodlands caches. Many a plan has fallen through due to health and pandemic and work issues. But finally all was on our side for a cracker geocaching day to end 2022.
With bikes loaded up we were off, left St.Arnaud just before 6am and had the first cache signed at 8.55am. Then it was just one by one, following the GPSr.
From flowing trails to bush bashing (with and without tall grass) and even a bit of water, we had a lot. All the while the sounds of planes going overhead, birds around and the odd 100 roos thumping the ground when we disturbed them.
We managed to make good time and accomplish all we set out to do. Despite the heat and a couple of hills I had to walk up.
We believe luck was on our side with the back paddock being opened, after seeing so many had commented on it being shut.
All in All, personally, it was great to finally get this series done with a couple others thrown in that are in the park.
Oh and by the way, we got back home just after 9.30pm. A big days outing.

Having dropped mum off at the airport, catnap777 and I made the most of our day by cycling the Woodlands in such perfect weather.
On this our 2nd visit to the park together, we managed to pick up every last available cache in the Woodlands, leaving only those behind the catproof fence for us to find (in the Back Paddock) on another day when Parks Victoria eventually unlock the double gates. [^]
All caches were found or returned in good condition with dry logs and sharp pencils.

SteMicMitSar and I have been wanting to do this series since it was published but couldn't make it happen for a variety of reasons. That changed today. All but two caches were found by us and the log stamped or signed. Lots of wildlife spotted amid the roar of jet engines from Melbourne Airport.

Today the weather was finally a bit better so we had the scooters out to try and finish off this series today. Well for me anyway, OzHockeyChick still needs some in the fenced off area which was closed. Apart from one DNF I have now finished off the series in this great park.
Plenty of off track finds today and gladly had the off road based scooters as well otherwise we may have well of walked everywhere. Ah, fun times, headed off for ice cream celebration after finishing.
Thanks Team_Woodlands for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

We had arrived at the Woodland Reserve to start our third run to complete this fun series.
47 Woodlands caches today - my legs are so sore now. Kids at school so off i went. Had planned to do a few others but there was a BIG fence in the way so I’ll have to remember that for my next visit. Lots of kangaroos out today. TFTC.
Parents were arriving back in Melbourne at around 7ish, so with a Sunday off work because of Easter, what better way then half a day caching. And what better location than right next to the airport ). Walked for around 4 hours and managed to pick up 44 caches from the series. Will definitely be back to finish off the series at a later date. A highlight was seeing all the planes so close to the ground, such a great park thanks for placing all the caches in here.

I started this series yesterday. The area here is larger than what I expected and it will be a hot day, so an early start was made. All these caches are excellent. It is a shame the bandicoot enclosure is out of bounds at the moment.
