Logs

07-Oct-15
Life issues have been all consuming in the past few months which means neither of us have managed to do a maintenance run in this direction. Time for someone else to have a cache here.

20-May-15
So tiny but I didn't see a log book

20-May-15
have to get over to change the log

10-May-15
TFTC Earthbound Chief. Plenty of muggles today with a junior footy game on but with a bit of help from Noelle04, had the cache in hand in short time. Jimmytherat.

10-May-15
Log full. Needs new one.

21-Mar-15
Last one for the morning. Have enjoyed my green belt walk! Some great parks. Needs new log but manage to squeeze my name underneath another log TFTC

18-Jan-15
With my regular Sunday arvo caching buddy Spiffy- off working on his tan in QLD I tooknthe opportunity to collect a few cache that he had already found. I did well to get this one as lots of muggles were watching the cricket. Thanks Earthbound Chief for the cache.

21-Dec-14
Suscoe's 14th find of the day on a trip to Melbourne.
A glorious Summer's day greeted us here.
33 degrees and fairly clear skies.
The traffic was pretty light and we appreciated the absence of sporting muggles and a low volume of cars on the roads.
Thanks to the Earthbound Chief for placing this cache here, we have heard of this park but have never visited before.
Log dry and all good!

30-Nov-14
Solved with the help of the hint. Best hide of this series. Great nano hide that we would have struggled with without our past experience. Log is officially full. Had to go over a faded old pencil name. Tftc certainly a lovely area to grow up in, as we know from our Geo Mum.

28-Nov-14
Wow very clever and very small found this at my brothers cricket match the only thing is I think you need a new log book because I couldn't sign it it was full!

09-Nov-14
Easy find. Thanx.

29-Oct-14
This was the quickest park and grab.
Knew what I was looking for and great clue.
Only thing you might want to rethink the difficulty level as this was really easy and going by with the people that have found to DNF ratio. Neway good work Smile

Found it

06-Sep-14
We had done the first two of the series fairly early but for whatever reason never got round to this one. I was on one of me long walks and decided to head this way. The weather was beautiful but there were very few muggles around. A reasonably quick but satisfying find. TFTC.

30-Jul-14
Very cool, thanks for hiding. Good hint!

27-Jul-14
Pretty easy with the clue. TFTC

23-Jul-14
Cute nano! TFTC!

22-Jul-14
Had to wait for all the muggles to clear but a great little nano! Couldn't sign though because I lost my pen but TFTC!!

20-Jul-14
Quick find, luckily part was nice and quiet today, thanks

13-Jul-14
YAY! first find for the day. Tftc

09-Jul-14
I tried this one many moons ago, but I have never been back until now.
Today it was a quick find,
thanks earthbound chief [:x]

10-Jun-14
Love the hide , walking around in circles at night to find the cache TFTC

02-May-14
Fantastic hide!! Thank you Smile

01-May-14
Find number 2 of 3 for my birthday. It was dark but a light was in a perfect position to help! Used the clue to find Smile had the help of ryanofoz! TFTC!

01-May-14
Found with the birthday girl Fuzzej. Can imagine this would require plenty of stealth on a Saturday, lucky for us it was dark. TFTC

26-Apr-14
Our 3rd cache find this am but this one took some time due to stealth and patience needed as the result of muggles - some running around the oval and others coming in and others leaving the area!
TFTC Earthbound Chief and the challenge these sort of caches give us -much appreciated!! It is very obvious you like your sport!!

06-Apr-14
Out caching on a lovely Sunday afternoon with a fellow cacher.
Second cache for the day. It took a while due to lots of Mugglers at the Local Footy Game. Once the game restarted it was an easy find.
TNLN TFTC.

22-Mar-14
Another quick find out this way. If we are learning anything today, its that Earthbound Chief was sporty in his younger days. (Well, he might still be now, but we'll wait for a series on that to come out). Thanks for bringing us here, and for the cache.

20-Mar-14

20-Mar-14
Nice little nano. Tftc

01-Jan-14
Had found a few other of these in this series a while ago and was keen to finish it off. Had to make a mad rush to the gz as the rain was starting to get heavy and made this our last cache for the day, tftc Earthbound Chief.

08-Dec-13
Favourite Cache so far amazing micro-cache was really awesome!!!

08-Dec-13
Found my first nano...thanks to the hint.

05-Dec-13
Another race between Hevic and myself ended up with Hev extracting an object that wasn't the cache - but the cache nearly going straight into her outstretched hands anyway! Careful with this one. Cheers for the cache though, it was good fun!

05-Dec-13
First find on a very wet day out with CJ-Curry. After being out muggled last time (and breaking my phone) I was glad to find this before CJ did. My first itty bitty nano! This was find 33 ! Thanks.

09-Nov-13
Saw the falcon and quickly located the cache.
A terrific little hide.

TFTC Smile

26-Oct-13
Too many muggles Sad

29-Sep-13
Super quick find, cache tucked away nicely. Had come once before and looked in the exact spot but didnt find it that time, not sure if it was missing or we just missed it completely. TFTC

12-Sep-13
Thanks for the cache. There was virtually no one around today, nice when your a geocacher! Only took a secound to fine. Thanks Earthbound Chief for the great cache. PIPPAESP

07-Sep-13
Needed the hint for this one. Thanks

07-Jul-13
What a nice area to grow in with some great facilities in this park. When we were at school the only sports available were Footy, Cricket, Swimming or some form of running, there was not a tennis court to be seen, We got a laugh out of your cricket game, your father must not have been in the scouts when he was younger.
As for the cache we thought it was going to be another DNF as we had looked in the most obvious location in between muggle walkers. We expanded the search but still nothing. We decided to believe the GPSr and have one more look and bingo there it was, tucked away a bit deeper than we expected.
many thanks Earthbound Chief

24-Jun-13
Very small

20-Jun-13
I hate nano's too. This one was relatively easy to find. Had to wait a bit for a muggle to look away. First to sign the new log. TFTC

31-May-13
New log, on the wettest night of the year so far...D'oh!

26-Apr-13
Another good find on the last day of a fun geocaching holiday.

SL New one needed TFTC

17-Apr-13
Needs a new log.

17-Apr-13
I have lost count of how many times I have been here either to find somebody parked at GZ or to be interrupted by a new arrival - lunch time probably has something to do with it. A much quicker and easier find today. TFTC.

06-Apr-13
Yeah

02-Apr-13
Find #902. Found @ 19:05. Needing a cache for today to fill in the date on my p366 calendar, I diverted past here to make the grab.
I looked at a few red herrings before I checked the size (I guess I should have read the description first), then made the find.
The play equipment looks like fun but it is a bit out of my normal stomping ground to be bringing the kids here for a play.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache Earthbound Chief.

30-Mar-13
Found, while caching in the area.
Managed to find all 4 today.
A good hide for a nano.
TFTC

16-Mar-13
Out on a cloudy rainy day with my umbrella getting some more stuff on the edge of my 10km zone. This was a nice easy find today because I was the only person in the whole park. TFTC Earthbound Chief.

13-Feb-13
Smallest cache yet nice hide

13-Feb-13
Nice hide. TFTC.

05-Jan-13
My First Nano cache, I Found this one with the help of %GeoHawkSnr% who is a bit taller than me! Thanks for taking us to this nice little park!

26-Dec-12
Grrr..nano!
Out and about in the suburbs looking for a few caches.
This was one of them.
Had to read the hint.
TFTC

25-Dec-12
Found after a few minutes of searching, luckily not busy here today, only one jogger muggle finishing up as we arrived.

For Freddo back home in Adelaide. Bloody nanos, spawn of satan, burn down the nano factory etc.
The real problem with nanos is unwinding and re-winding the logs in my opinion, but I've had a bit of practice now so not too bad haha

Thanks Earthbound Chief Smile

19-Dec-12
Clever hide! We had attempted this one once before however the convenient party of celebrating muggles- which happened to clash with our endeavor made it practically impossible Sad found it second time round when the park was deserted! Just able to reach it too- 5 cms shorter and I wouldn't have gotten it! TFTC Gem^2

08-Dec-12
Too many cricketing muggles around to attempt this one today, maybe next time. Last cache for today, caught a #48 tram back into the CBD for dinner.

26-Nov-12
Tricky one, luckily there were no muggles around. TFTC!

09-Nov-12
Third of 4 caches themed around where you grew up. Nice and quiet here during a weekday but all these areas would be busier on a fine weekend no doubt
Thanks Earthbound Chief

07-Nov-12
Found this one today. I had previously attempted this one but there were too many muggles around - all the games were on and people were enjoying the playground. Today it was completely deserted and the cache was an easy find. Signed log today and didn't swap anything!

Thanks for the cache Earthbound Chief.

05-Nov-12
Found @ 9:55 while in the area today doing some work. TFTC SL

01-Nov-12
Having already found GURH#1, 2 & 4, I thought I wouldn't have any trouble finding this one but no, I was wrong. Decoded the Hint, followed the instruction and there it was...now I know what is meant by a nano...TFTC.

11-Oct-12
Quick easy find once I was on the right side! I guess they club know its there r they have very boring videos to watch!! SL TFTC

29-Sep-12
Knew strait away where it was nice and easy.
TFTC

23-Sep-12
Found while on an outing with geo kids. Forth in the series today, a nice quick find (after reading previous logs, we went straight for the hint as geo kids were ready to call it a day). We were amazed at how few muggles were out in the sports grounds on a Sunday. TFTC

23-Sep-12
Yes not the easiest to his these little micro not raft to wtite On hard to roll up and decide which end to put log back into!!! Tftc even with geo kids playing footy!

Find #434

Power caching night with Physics Teacher. Leave pass granted for the evening to cache with my best mate.

Does it get any better?

Full log to follow.

Thanks for the cache and the fun!

21-Sep-12
CamBendy and I managed a night of from our familial duties so we could "get a few". This was one of 23 for the night. No matter how I approached this one the coords seemed to be inside the building. We resorted to the clue and quickly grabbed the nano. TFTC.

Came back to the area after completing the other GURH caches a few days prior. I was a bit stuffed from walking up and down hills in the rain, so I went for the hint and that pointed me right at the cache. Got my signature in there without looking too suspicious under the security lighting.

17-Sep-12
Very tricky!!!!!!!!

17-Sep-12
Walked around as it told me to go inside but read the clue and got it right away. Tftc.

16-Sep-12
After a bike ride cache this morning, I was looking for an easier afternoon, picking up a few puzzle caches I had solved.

I picked this cache up, (7 of 7 for the day) at 05:53pm. My final cache on the way home, and my final cache where I had to wait around for muggle to finish their business before I could hunt for the cache. After they eventually left, the cache was a quick find. There is plenty of room in the log.

Thanks for the cache Earthbound Chief.

16-Sep-12
Very tricky. Had 4 friends new to heo caching join us it was fun. Now of to the next one

12-Sep-12
One of three caches with geo daughter. Great fun watching her cartwheel and handstand her way from one cache to another. A lovely afternoon walk, tftc.

06-Sep-12
Took my 6 year old on her first hunt ever. At night. Way too much awesome.
Smile

05-Sep-12
Arrived just as another car was leaving. Soon found the sneaky hide and was on my way again as another car pulled up so I timed it perfectly thank goodness. Sure was a busy place considering there was no sport on.

05-Sep-12
Found by Facitman at 7:55
So I was back on the horse today after not needing a cache since last Friday. On that day I had a shocker, 4 DNFs before I found one to fill in my GeoCalendar. Today was the opposite experience. I first set out to find another nearby GURH cache but a Tai Chi practitioner was well into their routine at GZ so I enabled plan B and re-routed to this cache. Passed a dog walker on the drive into the grounds but after that I didn't see another person during my visit, parked the car and walked the last 60m to GZ. On arrival I made a quick sweeping search before repeating my search to make the find. Log was completed and cache replaced quickly and soon I was off to work.
Thanks Earthbound Chief, a great personal series of caches that I'm sure most people can relate to!

28-Aug-12
Can I vent here for a moment? I came here on the weekend and was confounded by Muggles! After wandering around for a while, I looked at the Hint as there a were a few people around walking dogs and themselves, but just as I was about to collect the cache, a car appeared in the car park and a man appears who collects bins and returns to GZ. I then wandered off for a walk, waiting for him to disappear. As I returned, after he had left, another car arrives, dropping off his boy for something. Seeing a man wandering around, he stays, thinking I am some weirdo. No chance now, so I drove away in anger.

This anger was partly caused by my previous search at GURH 1 and 2, where a muggle group sat in their car, smoking and chatting for the fifteen minutes I waited for them to leave. What are these people doing?? AND why do they interfere with our fun???? A fellow, much more experienced cacher, has told me to relax and that this is our reality as we can never be certain of a clear path to a cache. I am trying to be calmer and have a few back-up caches. (/end vent)

Thank you for this one, Earthbound Chief, a very clever hide and cache. I will try your others in this series when there are NO MUGGLES around!

My rather short lived aussie rules career ended thankfully in the forward pocket in Grade 6.
Fortunately I am a little taller now, and was able to reach the cache. I did wander around a little before I found where GZ was and saw what the hint was referring to. Thanks Earthbound Chief for the cache.

05-Aug-12
On the way home from a little caching run and Warringa* mentioned she needed help with this one, so we called in to collect it. My height came in useful in this team effort! TFTC

05-Aug-12
Found with taller people assistance on the second attempt.

05-Aug-12
This was a team effort with Warringa* & Jacimarble. We had one hone down where GZ was (Warringa*), one to spot it (me) and then one to grab it (Jacimarble). A true team effort! TFTC

Found with nirgalagrin... now I have my own account.

15:00

After spending the last couple of days cleaning the house, it was time to go out and play. Geodaughter got some good navigation practice while I played chauffer.

Now the hard part... where to cache? Over the Chandler bridge, then head east, looked like a plan.

With a few more people around than at the other sites, I peeked at the clue on the walk from our parking spot, so recognised the hide location immediately. However, every time I was about to try and retrieve the cache, yet another dog walker would come into view, including one woman who eyed me suspiciously after probably having seen me with my hand where it should not be when we first arrived at GZ.

Finally, the opportunity presented itself and, aside from another delay before returning the cache, there were no dramas.

Weirdly, in the ten minutes we were here, the carpark went from just our car, to almost full.

Thanks for the set, Earthbound Chief.

Had to get the tourch out of geocar to find this one ! Thanks earthbound chief

24-Jun-12
previous logs indicated that I might not be tall enough. A few muggles around so I didn't try to find something to use as a height-enhancer.

22-Jun-12
Out on a night caching run with ProBleMatiKal and the last of this series. Arrived at gz and started searching but became a bit skeptical when our initial searched turned up nothing. Tried a new plan of attack and soon Probs had the cache in hand (it's so sweet that he is a bit taller). Signed log and replaced cache. TFTC and series.

22-Jun-12
Another one grabbed by me and Paco Aliandro whilst out on a night run. Took a while for my phones gps to settle but could never really get a good lock on gz. I checked where i expected it to be but saw nothing. Then Paco checked where i was looking, but obviously more thoroughly, and spotted the little bugger. Height was an advantage to me here, unlike all those other times where I have to crawl through bushes and walking in to tree branches Smile tftc

11-Jun-12
Replaced log.

23-May-12
Reached out and there it was. A brilliant hide, thanks.

21-May-12
#1177 On arrival the place was deserted except for a muggle worker who was right at GZ!! While pondering whether we'd give it away or wait a while, he hopped in his car and departed! - great. Cache was soon in hand, signed and returned. About 2 mins later the worker returned - he'd obviously forgotten something - so the timing was just perfect for us. Thanks once more Earthbound Chief.

15-May-12
Got the first two in this set, but arrived at same time a muggle convention was assembling. Couldn't put my fingers on the bullet, in between interruptions, so baled and will return again in the future. With rain and traffic, decided to return home to get back to work.

11-May-12
We found we could almost drive up to GZ except a young footy muggle was being dropped off. Then the GPSr got itself knotted and sent us on a tour. Finally read the hint and had the find quickly made at 16:30. Retired to the car to sign the log as the wind was biting. TFTC

30-Apr-12
Quick stop on the way into work this morning. Had to use the hint as it's a nano and pretty well hidden! Thanks for the cache and the chance to get out of the car.

Found with Cooney17. Reasonably quick find. Thanks very much
