I checked on this one today.Replaced the log.Sharpened the pencil,All good to go.
It was a lovely sunny day today so I decided to make my way back out here to find a few more caches in this series throughout the afternoon. I have already found a large portion of this Woodlands series, and was hoping to tick a few more off today. I had a very successful time caching while I was out here as I managed to find every cache I had intended to. There are still a few more caches remaining in this series I need to find, including the final, so I think that one more trip out to this area will be required in the future. This was another very quick find as I saw it while approaching from a distance. It was indeed, as the title suggests, hangin there. Cache was in good condition and, after signing and placing back, I continued on my way.TFTC
TFTC.....frilk and I slowed our walk down as we approached the GZ, a couple of muggles coming from the other direction and we decided to wait for them to move on. Nice hide, found it quickly, signed the log and kept on walking.
On secondment to Melbourne, Australia, combined with short holidays here and there. Day 44/74, Tuesday. After working remotely today from my AirBnB apartment in Keilor Downs, I drove to the Woodlands Historic Park in early evening. I enjoyed this visit SO MUCH! Well, except that it was really hot for a Finn, 33 degrees. Other than that, this was an amazing evening. First of all, I saw so many kangaroos! Between 100 and 150, easily. They were all over. I love the kangaroos!! Secondly, this geocache trail is GREAT! I found all the caches (ah, no, there was one DNF - but all the others) quickly. The coordinates were very good. All the caches were in great condition. I also appreciated the hints A LOT! So, 26 finds and 1 DNF today. I will definitely come back here. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!Thanks for the cache and greetings from Vaasa, Finland! Logged with [GCDroid](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gcdroid).

Out and about today coming back from Epping to get the Jetski serviced. Thought i'd stop in here for the day to start my journey on the Woodlands caches. Managed to tick off a good 20 or so before receiving the phone call to come back and pick the ski up again. Thanks for the caches, All looked to be in good working order and condition, unless otherwise stated.
Having attended a recent event in Brisbane where a fellow cacher brought my attention to the geo tour in Ballarat and its up coming finish in February, i knew this was something I had to make an effort to get to.I also quickly realised that the attribute for the geo tour is the last one I need to achieve a personal challenge so the planning began.Today is day three of the mission and Ive completed the geo art and the tour so Im very happy. Todays mission is to get to 100 in this local LGA and then head towards Sunbury in the hope to pick up another 25 to also reach 100 in that LGA before my flight out tonight. Obviously this is for a local challenge cache at home. What else. Unfortunately I missed the events in Castlemaine. Time got the better of me.I jumped in The geowagon and ventured off the o soon find a nice parking spot. A short stroll later soon found me at ground zero. It wasnt long before cache was found and my name was printed for prosperity. I returned the cache to its hiding space and made my way back to the car. Ready to head to the next adventureA big thanks to the cache owners of Ballarat for making this cache available to be found.Cheers
In the area doing an Airport drop off and then we thought we would do the relatively new Woodland Heritage Park Parkrun. Of course we had to do a few geocaches while here. Especially since I have only found 1 geocache in this Local Government Area.Got to Woodlands early, so we went to collect a few geocaches before hand. It did give us a chance to look at some of the parkrun trail.Of course I looked at every other tree first, before looking at the right one. Thanks for the cache Team WoodlandsHunter
I could see the cache from 15m away.
My kids and hubby are at two different camps with Scouts. I set myself a goal to complete this series so I could sign off a Challenge cache of 100 caches owned by one CO. Unfortunately, five are behind a locked, fenced off area for Eastern Barred Bandicoot. It was an amazing day with the weather being perfect. I started at 11am & finished at 5pm. Big day!!

Many thanx to Team Woodlands for the series and ongoing maintenance - well done
Look forward to a return visit to complete the series

Given the weather report for the next few days I thought I might duck out while the rain was holding off and get a bit of cache exercise in.
I’ve been slowly ticking off this series so thought I’d knock off one of the sections.
The wind is strong this afternoon and I can only expect it is brining the storms this way, so there was no hanging around today. A quick find - log and cache in good condition.
Thanks Team_Woodlands for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

I has been a while since I have been out to Woodlands, but I had a free morning, so I thought I should make a start with this series.
Unloaded the deadly treadly about 9am on a cool overcast day, just perfect for a ride.
The first half a dozen had pristine log books, and were all in excellent condition.
Then I came across one with a quarter full logbook! What is happening here? Just past the next cache I met up with the CO who was doing maintenance. Stopped for a chat.
All the other caches I did today were in good condition - a great job with the maintenance.
Thanks for keeping this series up long enough for me to get around to them
Completed a loop of about 35 caches this morning. I will be back.
I should have read the title for this one. It would have made the search quicker.
Thanks, Robmc.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Team_Woodlands for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Great series. I thought I'd incorporate Geocaching with a trail run through this lovely park on a weekend visit to Melbourne. Thank you
After dropping some family off at the airport, I continued tackling this series. It was very warm today, and most of the trails were out in the open. I packed some sunscreen along with my water bottle and made sure I was reapplying it every couple of hours.
All up I walked 11.5km today, and took care of a little under 30% of the entire series, only a few more visits, and I'll have them all done!
All caches were found in good condition, with a few exceptions.

Find No. 3953. Found with FUF009.
A day trip down to do the Woodland series of caches.
Took our bicycles and FUF009 came with us.
Arrived at the gate, unloaded our bikes, had a cuppa and off we went getting our first cache at 8.55am.
We worked our way through the series stopping several times to watch the coming and going of the jets at Tullamarine.
After a long warm day with several challenges, we arrived back at the car park for a rest and well earned cuppa.
We put the clues together, punched in the co-ords and went and claimed the final cache of the series.

Found with Tyred n Cranky.
Well this has been a long time coming, to do the Woodlands caches. Many a plan has fallen through due to health and pandemic and work issues. But finally all was on our side for a cracker geocaching day to end 2022.
With bikes loaded up we were off, left St.Arnaud just before 6am and had the first cache signed at 8.55am. Then it was just one by one, following the GPSr.
From flowing trails to bush bashing (with and without tall grass) and even a bit of water, we had a lot. All the while the sounds of planes going overhead, birds around and the odd 100 roos thumping the ground when we disturbed them.
We managed to make good time and accomplish all we set out to do. Despite the heat and a couple of hills I had to walk up.
We believe luck was on our side with the back paddock being opened, after seeing so many had commented on it being shut.
All in All, personally, it was great to finally get this series done with a couple others thrown in that are in the park.
Oh and by the way, we got back home just after 9.30pm. A big days outing.

We had arranged to meet Crustyvarmint (together his faithful sidekick, Pilot) and RedcbBlueBM to tackle some of this series of caches. Apologies for some generic logs. The weather was good and the caches we tackled were all found after short searches. It was nice to see some variety in the type of hides. We ended up finding 15 caches collecting clues when provided before heading back to our cars and lunch after which we went our separate ways. At times we had an audience of kangaroos but otherwise Woodlands was fairly quiet. In some spots it didn't pay to stand still due to the numbers of ants! Thanks to Team Woodlands for the cache.
A day out with Crustyvarmint and Lynjoh to get some caches here. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and the company. Thanks CO for these caches.
Weather was lovely for caching today as Lynjoh, Redcb, Pilot and I spent some time walking in the reserve. We found all the caches we looked for, and returned to the cars suitably exhausted.
Thanks for the series, Team Woodlands.

Steve and I returned to Woodlands Park today to try and complete the series. The weather was perfect, but part of the park was closed so we will have to make a third trip some time in the future.
