We have escaped from humid Auckland to ....yes, a humid "TK". Our hosts wanted to take us on a walk...here. A very beautiful walk roo. Cache is all goid. Thanks to Zorgon and HKCB for this cache.
It was a nice shaded late afternoon wallk to GZ..while we took the easier of the tracks upI still worked up a good sweat..the cache was a straight forward find as it was out on the openreplaced as found but added some cover..thanks for the placement and bringing me to this spot
Was a nice evening to tackle this climb. Got there and forgot my pen Found a twig and signed instead. TFTC
A little battle through gorse and cutty grass to get to this one. Paper was double bagged and in a container. Very impressed with the weather tightness. Overcast day, warm, but cool in the bush. Felt like 15 degrees.
A lovely wander up today. It was windy at the bottom and hot and still at the top! Swapped travel bugs. TFTC!

Yippee! Found this today, very lucky i made it after the CO maintenance. I learnt I'm more unfit than I thought with a few stops on the way to the top lol. Not too many people around but had to wait a few minutes at the summit till the muggles were gone. Easy to find, coords great. Swapped out tbs. Tftc!
Lovely walk to the summit here today. A bit of a mission to get to the cache, lots of trees have fallen around GZ so difficult to get to. Also cache container and logbook quite wet. Thanks for the cache
#673. Decided to head out and do this bushwalk for NZ's national day. Northwood, Mrs Northwood and a friend. Comfortable walk, fairly easy find, despite some surrounding bush being cut back. As others have reported the log is wet. TFTH
After a quick morning walk, decided to look for a cache and bingo, one nearby. However, cache has been very wet. Unable to open log book without tearing pages so did leave a log there.
Wonderful views.

On a roadie with Some of Team BoP, NZ Flossy, Davidson Clan and Philip. Perry, and I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers
Found with Philip.Perry McJandals and Nzflossy we were in the area caching quick find here.
Cache in good order.

Out on a night trip to this Pukemokemoke Reserve with Davidson clan, Philip Perry and McJandals. Love this one and bringing us to the viewing platform - great views even at night. Love these old caches of Zorgons This is a beautiful area and looking forward to returning in the daylight Lots of fun was had with a few screams and getting lost moments. Thanks for giving us this great adventure TFTC
Night Caches are amongst my favourite types and we'd had an eye on Pukemokemoke for a while now. Finally NZFlossy put her foot down and set a date and tonight it's time to collect. We had our eye on 9 hides tonight, 2 Multi's, 2 puzzles and 5 Trads and not all of them night caches. This fort was cool and it is so over grown now compared to the cache page photo. Neat to see the city lights in the distance. Cheers HKCB for keeping this one going, TFTC
Great walk with Mr 3 and miss 8. No trouble finding cache. Gotta Bring Jerry_nz here next time he is up... If is sweaty, hairy body can handle the treck
The Freezer Mice strike again!!!
The kids wanted to go on a bush walk, so with a couple of caches to grab along the walk, this fitted perfectly.
Beautiful hot and sunny day, so spent 1/2 an hour sitting at the top drying out the cache and contents.

Nice walk up the hill yesterday. Broke the journey from Hamilton to Tauranga to go into this bush reserve. Driven past it many times, but this is the first time I've ventured in.
The cache was wet and it was impossible to write in the logbook, but a nice spot anyway.

Never been here before. If it wasn't for geocaching I probably would never come here. Want a nice piece of Bush. Enjoyed my wander to the summit. Cache was located quickly. Accidentally signed it for April instead of May. Great location. Tftc
Needed to get out of the house for the mental health. Was aware of this place for some time but had never been. Nice that there's a brochure with a map. Got around more of the tracks than I expected to. TFTC.
With my uncle (squirrel nutcase), ABCDF4, eyespyben, and Gap when we found this cache. Awesome nighttime views. TFTC.
Thanks for the walk found with abcdf4 and fap and gap and squirrel nutcase and nerweed.
With Gap (of Fap and Gap), nerweed, (Mr and Mrs) ABCDF4, and KGD (Santa)...
After a full day's walk in the sun, we were still feeling energetic enough to consider a night assault at Pokemokemoke. After resting and recharging, we set off in search of these nine interesting hides...
Fantastic view of the lights of nearby towns across the Waikato... We managed four finds out of nine. I daresay we will be back again soon! TFTC.

Nice hide found in the darkness with Fap and Gap Squirrel Nutcase nerweed and kayGeeDee
A new walk with my wife and one of the Auckland meetup hiking groups. Also a great way of getting to know Auckand/NZ and people.
The speed was high enough, though, so there was not always time for finding the caches we passed... Painful.
But htis one was one I managed to find without falling too far behind the group.
Tftrc!

So so happy to get up to this one .being very unfit it did take me the afternoon. It was so lovely to see the view after living in the area off and on for 40 years. Thanks so much
Tftc! Up here at night to find some other caches. The view from the tower nearby, of the city lights, was quite cool. Saw rain coming though, so didnt loiter too long.
Out for another walk and how things change in 12 mths more steps than I remember tftc
We had found the original Zorgon cache many years ago so was nice to come back and find this replacement of his. Zorgon loved his caches at the top of things so can see why he replaced it. Many thanks for adopting and maintaning his cache and always an honour to remember him.
Great find thanks. We had a bit of a hunt around as there are several pungas but got there!
Back in the area for work...spotted a cluster of caches at Pukemokemoke reserve and headed out for a walk and some caching...great combination on a find evening. Nice climb and great view...quickly found the cache nearby. TFTC
Enjoying the nicer weather & trying to get out more prompted this trip on a fine Sunday afternoon. Stopped at the bakery on the way & picked up some lunch to eat on our walk. We were shown the way to the summit by the youngest team member & then I was sent to find this cache whilst the rest of the team enjoyed the views from the top. Luckily a great hint & coordinates allowed me to locate this cache pretty quickly & I was able to join them at the top. Some fantastic views up here & I love that landmarks are pointed out by the signs. SL. TNLN. TFTC & thanks for bringing us here!!
I had to keep my streak going and wanted to save closer-to-home caches for later on - so that prompted this trip to pukemokemoke. Our son has a nasty cough so just me and daughter (bellbox), and of course geo-dog, braved the cold, wet afternoon to go for this walk. I've never been here before, but driven past many times. Not a soul about today. Luckily the rain held off and the clouds were high enough to get a stunning view from the platform. Great place for a cache! TFTC
It is cold, it is wet and it has been wet all week, so what do you do on a Saturday night? You climb up to the summit of Pukemokmoke, well if you are in Team Westie you do. Even though it was night and the weather was not as clear as it could be, the view was worth the climb. Thanks for showing me this new spot.
Found it as part of Team Westies. Fortunately it was not raining, although the track up was quite wet and slippery. Enjoyed what views we could see from here at night. TFTC
Team Westie made the trek up the hill, although the cache page states it takes 20-25 minutes, it felt longer? I guess that is what happens when you are walking around in the dark with torches. The view is special up here, we got to look at the city lights in the distance. Soon we were on our way, we have been lucky tonight the rain has stayed away. Thanks for the hide

It was a nice trek all the way up here. Fortunately its not raining even though its quite slippery everywhere. Enjoyed the possible views from here and of course found the cache. Its all clean and dry. Tftc.

Down for a weekend of night caching and whereigos with Team Westies, we decided to get a head start and try and do a number of puzzles and Trads in Hamilton. Making the most of our effort to get down here and time out in the open. Having done a number of Hamilton caches we doubled back to Huntly at he end of the day just as it got dark. This was the second area of focus for our evening and we got here about 8.30pm. Really enjoyed this walk at night. Very wet underfoot on the lower slopes especially after the large amount of rain over the last few days but as we climbed higher it got a lot drier. Worked our way up to the top and enjoyed the 360 degree panoramic views at night. Fortunately the weather had cleared enough that we could see for miles.
Have never been here before ! Was a bit tricky underfoot with water and mud and roots and tree branches to knock out the unwary....
But being with a group of 9 made it a fun adventure !
Will come back sometime in daylight to really admire the scenery...( plus we have unfinished business nearby )

Up on this hill doing night caches and other caches at night. Some of our group came here and some didn't. But those that did signed us all in. Excellent night of caching...
A nice little climb to the view point although a little muddy under foot.
There were a couple of muggles at the viewpoint when we arrived. We tried to wait them out but they were in no hurry, so we back tracked and snuck into the Bush. We did have to crouch down when they went past but they didn't see us.
Left a pet rock - a monkey
Thanks for putting this here

Is anyone interested in adopting this cache? Please message me if you do.
I have been doing very little geocaching over the last couple of years and it is now time to either adopt out or archive all of my remaining live caches. I will be progressively archiving and collecting the caches over the next six weeks or so if nobody wants to adopt.
Thanks

Took part in the ECHO walk on Good Friday. After doing the Waikato Mountain Challenge (GC1G9Z8) we didn't realise that there were still more hills in the Waikato to climb. Lovely walk to a great lookout, where almost all of the other peaks we've mastered were visible. Thanks for a great cache,
What a lovely evening for a walk and this track did not disappoint. The views from the summit were breath-taking and well worth the climb to get to the top so I decided to take the longest track back to my car and I enjoyed every bit of it. I'm very keen to come back here again so I chose to find only one cache this time so I would have a great reason to come back again. I had to give this cache a fav because I'm not sure how long it would have taken me to come up for a walk without the incentive of the cache so thank you for giving me that reason.
I think I did this walk back to front... Walked to the end of the track, then came up the back way there be a bit of gorse that way round. And I'd been thinking "this was only meant to take 25min right?". Still it was nice to get to the top & have a drink and a snack! TFTC and I picked up the TB.
Came along the tops to get this one - the gorse is starting to take over in places. Quick find - tftc
It was fully dark by the time we all left the Body Farm and walked on up to the summit of Pukemoremore. Here the cache was found after just a short search. Thanks.
Found this one while attending Steve's freaky ball nearby! Great views! TFTC
Headed up to the lookout with a big group of cachers while attending the Freakers Ball event. A short huff n puff up the track to the top. Awesome views from the platform just as the sun was setting for the day. Cache quickly located and signed by those who hadn't yet found it. TFTC!
We decided to come out a do a recce before attending the Freakers Ball Event next weekend.
On our way back down to the car park a quarter of us and our partners in crime managed to get ourselves misplaced, one of the husbands came out on a solo search party and observed from a safe distance before coming to rescue us from the long wet muddy grassy field we found our way in.
Thanks

Went on a trip with a friend for a preschool field trip, the kids loved the search and playing with what was inside
Have done this walk a few times, but haven't done a geocaching trip here since this was placed. I like this little reserve due to the various tracks providing different options for walking on each visit. The cache was easy to find due to a well worn track to GZ - must be an indication of recent visits from cachers! The trackable listed is no longer in the cache. TFTC
