On our day out at Mount Tamborine we decided to do some caches in the local area. TFTC.
TFTC! felt very awkward search as I'm only a shorty and don't have a long reach!
Easy cache, left some tradables still good for 2 months, then it will be exactly the same as everything else in the cemetery- expired
Working for a stint nearby and taking the chance on this glorious day in a beautiful part of the world to grab some nearby caches. Quick easy grab on the way by.Only Gav - never the same without Manda. TFTC
Out and about on this beautiful Monday with karen rinora. We toured around, and of course found some smilies along the way. Thanks for adding to our great day! Another nice, well kept cemetery to visit. TFTC!
Out this morning to collect a few local government area specific caches to close out a challenge cache Ive been working on for sometime. After finding a safe place to park the car I quickly made my way to ground zero where it was too long before i had the cache in my sights.Log extracted and mark made and returned safely to its hiding spot. Now off to the next adventure. Nice hide.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found by fellow cachers.
Nice to have a parking area here. Parked up and I wandered down to begin my exploration of the determined GZ. Couldnt locate anything and then reloaded I had to go deeper. BINGO!!! Nice size here. Signed the log book which was a bit damp, retrieved the TB to continue its journey then as I was putting it back together I noticed the nice new dry logbook in its plastic bag stuck to the underside of the lid doh With everything returned and recovered with the leaf litter it was time to continue my travels.
11/2/2024 Find #6835A day out and about with KezzBear and KBreeAHH on a bit of a maintenance check for KezzBear before she ups and leaves us for a new life of adventure. The day was filled with fun, food and memories but with a tinge of sadness too knowing this would definitely be our last adventure together for some time. While the others stayed in the car, I leapt out to make this my final cache of the day. And of course I made it harder than necessary, starting exactly where the cache should be only to not find it. So I moved around until I got the call from the car to head back to where I had started and look again. And there it was, safe and sound of course. Thanks for the cache Aussie Liahona.
Tftc Aussie Liahona, we are staying at the showground nearby and saw we had a few caches in the area we had not found yet.Made the find here in this scenic resting place.Original log is soaked and sealed inside a ziplock bag, so no hope of it drying out!.Placed a new log sheet in a separate bag . So all good to go here now.Dropped a pathtag and a trackable here too
Quick stop in here while on a road trip. Managed to spot it after an extensive search. Tftc Aussie Liahona
I was chasing caches in this area to satisfy a challenge. Something about lucky 13....a challenge I now cant find to log anyway! I just know that I needed particular caches from a particular year in a particular LGA. So on this day I decided to fill those up. Except one DNF might have stopped me from logging the challenge if I find it again Book is saturated was able to sign.
If it’s where, I think it is, I’m not so sure I felt comfortable searching through that little area.
As others have said the logbook is soaking. Felt a bit funny poking around here so the previous clue was helpful
Log is drenched so after etching my name in ever so lightly I returned as found. Could do with a new log book.
Headed straight to GZ. Had an educated guess as to caches local. Found with just a little bit of rustling around. Cache nice n dry. Tftf.
Got it this time. The rain held off so everything was dryer than last time where I was looking. Found and signed. Thanks for another cemetery Aussie Liahona

Safe n sound in its spot, the leaves cover its truth.
The bellbirds were singing today.

We searched a couple of spots before a previous log gave us an idea. Thanks for the fun Aussie Liahona
Read the hint, took it a bit literally and couldn't find a thing. Thought maybe it had been tidied away like Beechmont Anzacs.
Finally reinterpreted one word in the hint and found some more places to look. Very first one was the charm. Trust me to make it harder than it needed to be.

Beware the nesting plovers. A nice cemetery with plenty of history. Accurate hints and tips. TYFC
One of 27 found today. I was on a maintenance run with SaintsMadHouse as they had a few to check up on. Happy to help and make sure they could be found and see what needed to be checked.
Found 2 caches here so might be from a replacement from time past?

Heading out to Gatton to visit family and decided to try my new mapping skills on a scenic route from home near Tweed Heads. of course I didnt plan on it raining all night before and most of the day but I did get out at a couple while it wasnt raining.
Thankfully I have a very understanding family who know I love cemeteries.
Thanks for finally getting me to stop at this little cemetery. Unfortunately with all the rain everything nearby was wet and I was only quarter of the way into my journey so didnt look too vigorously. I will return on a dryer day.

Searched every bush, under every seat, in every drain but nothing unfortunately
TFTC Found cache easily enough. My mother and sister's ashes are buried here so it is a place we often visit.
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.
We are on a trip to O’Reilly’s and the Lamington National Park finding geocaches and visiting Waymarks. We stopped to unearth this one on our way back to the Gold Coadt on a wet morning.
Found & logged using Cachly for iOS

Almost walked away from this one when the coordinated led to a small urn which my wife was about to open!!!
I then drew attention to the nice plaque in remembrance of the person at rest there
Not sure about hiding caches in cemetery
Might skip these ones from now on

Today, I joined GurTheWanderer and karicka with a planned Lamington National Park hike around Ships Stern circuit. We commenced the hike from Binna Burra via the Bellbird track, which then connected into the main circuit trail, and returned via Tullawallal circuit link. We ended up hiking approximately 24 km with the short detours to Ballunjui Falls. Following our hike, I slowly returned to Brisbane, stopping in Beechmont, Witheren, and Canungra to pick up a few geocaches, and the tramway history was quite interesting.
I parked just outside this cemetery, and made the wander inside. I was focused on thinking this cache may be something else, as in the end, the comments/size weren't reflective of the actual cache, as it isn’t tiny or micro but small. Otherwise, the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Aussie Liahona for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Heading home from a camping weekend and picked this up on the way. Have driven past many times but finally took the time to stop.

Only our 2nd find...we knew where it had to be, but it still took some looking!
Another one I DNF'd years back, and am glad to have finally found. These blue smileys haunt my map. A straightforward enough hide amongst the shrubbery, but it took me a little while to find the right spot.

I found your cache with my Dad, Oddiewan and most of the time, Semik. I am way behind on logging so learned how to use templates so I can catch up. Sorry this is not a detailed log, but I will do better with my logging now that I have the ability to log caches on a mobile phone. Thanks for the cache Aussie Liahona
Nice quick find.

Caching with my main squeeze, Oddiewan and the youngest of our team, BitternA4. Grabbed one more cache in Canungra on our way out. We spent too much time choosing our path to the oldest in the area and lost light. We’ll be back for the others.
Thanks for the fun, Aussie Liahona

Thanks, when I come to graveyard caches I always find it interesting seeing how old the graves are and there are some here from the 1800s. Little piece of history. TFTC
