Well, it seems that buhfuhguh is up to his usual tricks and has decided to head up to Canberra for a whirlwind two days of nonstop shenanigans. It was great to see the giant again and embark on some classic adventures as we targeted some quality caches along the way! With EthisEthat tagging along for the evening, an iconic trio was formed and we all partook in some final tomfoolery before buhfuhguh departed the ACT.While in the area, we couldn't pass up the opportunity for another quick trad.EE had previously done this one, so we all made quick work of the find and everything was signed and replaced in no time as the sun set overhead. Thanks to Sol de lune for this placement!
What a weekend! With the what would have been the most impromptu trip for me ever, I found myself booking flights to Canberra in order to pick up a couple interesting caches or two. With a list of prospective caches for me to hit made into a list, I had just under 48hrs to go our and collect as many of them as I and my driver for the days would allow! With tree climbs, puzzles, D/T's and some sneaky Drain Caches completed! All in all I had an amazing trip and cannot wait to be back soon! Thanks for the cache and the big adventure!!
Found on the down hill, walking back to the car. quick find.Found with Mogni. Myself and mogni are headed off to canberra on the " I missed the Capital GeoBash Mega " holiday, since last minute family problems came in to play and we had to adjust our plans by a few weeks. On the way over we targeted multi's, wherigo's and puzzles to make sure we had 25 in each or at least close to that total ( or more ) as possible, getting as many new New South Wales LGA's as possible, the 17th most favourite point NSW cache and every cache size in New South Wales. In the ACT it was getting 2 of the 5 oldest letterboxes, oldest wherigo in Australia, 2nd oldest earthcache ( with a side trip to get the oldest earthcache of course ), and ACT oldest cache too. I also hosted a CITO and planned on getting every different cache type i could and eevry different cache size as well. I also needed 9 more virtuals this trip to get my virtual count over 100. Finally canberra was far enough away from from house to complete the well aged well travelled cacher 0 to 1000 kms with a cache every 10 km's ( i only need 7 more caches to complete )Leaving the ACT it was going via Victoria to get there last active web cam cache and slowly getting a total of 20 finds in each LGA i passed through if i had enough time plus also hosting a CITO in Victoria as well. A busy 11 days. Trust me by the end of the holiday you would have thought the 6 meter ladder weighed more than 13 kg's to amount of times it was used or carried up hills or over creeks. If your cache was found with a broken container/lid it was replaced or if the log was full it was replaced or a extra log if the container was big enough ( except for nano's, do your own maintenance on nano's.
Day 5 of mogni and sir_spectre visit the ACT. Today was a mixed bag, old caches, letterbox, trad and wherigo and hunting letterboxes, more multies and stamping challenges as we passed and of course targetting favourite caches, oh and what everelse we happened upon. As per normal if a cache needed a bit of love, it got it. Lots of micro logsheets added today. Thanks to Sol de lune from mogni
Great HideThanks Sol de lune for the cacheJames0116Wednesday, 3 Apr 202412:20:46pm AEDT4382
Great views nearby, thanks for the placement, we have had fun with the mega this weekend
Tftc, run here weekly yet never stop to search! Love this hide, very visible when passing at correct angle!!
TFTC going around finding caches at the pinnacle and this was a good one to start off with
#362 Took a quick walk into the pinnacle after work today. Arrived at GZ and found the cache fairly quickly. TFTC
We definitely didn’t take the optimal route to the GZ for this hide. Nonetheless, it was a nice meander through this reserve. The unicorn pen that a previous cacher left was a highlight. TFTC TNLN.
Needed a daily and I was in the area so decided to try for this one. I have been having a few bad caching days and I was expecting this one to be the same. Almost ready to walk away when I spied the cache. Thank you for binging me to an area I have never been to before. Such wonderful views.
My first visit to the Pinnacle and this was a quick find and a great view. Left a small unicorn pencil for future passers by. TFTC
Spent an hour looking last time and gave up. This time I found it in about 30 seconds. Am now doubting my sanity.
Thanks
Thanks
After a brief search found a telltale sign of the cache and soon had it in hand. Found with Sophiescout. TFTC
My last traditional cache left at the pinnacle and could not for the life of me find it! Will have to come back and try again another day
A quick loop with the littlest wollywoolners and a trade of a couple of swaps i an easy cache. Lovely arvo.
Not sure how I missed that on the first lap around the GZ. Thank you for the cache
Out for a walk with MuggleGeorge tonight. A new loop for us to explore. Lots of muggles in the area making the most of their 2 hours of fresh air, but we still managed some long stretches of just us, the lovely views and the singing birds. Great to be able to nab another one in this series. There are not too many of them left. Cache in great condition. TFTC
TFTC - found it, it's definitely here, and hasn't been taken. My 8 year old found it. The hint is misleading somewhat, but search it carefully
At for my one hour exercise, so I was tight for time hoping to get some other geocaches as well. Will come back again
A short stroll in from the provided parking coordinates made for a nice quick find.
Thanks.
Thanks.
The GeoHound and I thought this would be a nice day to do a circuit of some of the caches around The Pinnacle. The grass is very long off-trail - glad I had my boots and reptile-dissuading gaiters on. This cache was found in good condition without issue after a loud traipse through the grass as we encouraged any slithering reptiles to move out of the way! Thanks, Sol de lune.
F.E. Iron and I took the dog for a walk and to explore this part of the Pinnacle Nature Reserve.
Brilliant weather, birds starting to get frisky.
We looked at every inch of GZ until I spotted the cache just before giving up.
TFTC.

Found on a short pit stop while doing a long group walk - this cache was conveniently close so I could dash off while the rest of the group were enjoying their morning tea. It's been a long time since I have cached in this area. Very sodden in places with all the run off from last weekend's rain, but the cache was nice and dry in its hidey hole. I did find a pair of "quay" sunnies right by the cache - if anyone is missing them - although it looks like something has been chewing the ends of one of the arms, so not sure if they are worth keeping. TFTC.
Great views from here although it was a cold wind blowing .
Nicely hidden .
Many thanks to Sol de lune .

Many thanks to Sol de lune .
This would have been a nice spot to sit and enjoy the view......if it wasn't freezing!!! TFTC!
As we approached GZ, we saw there were some men cutting up a fallen tree just across from the trail in the nearby paddock. Luckily, they took no notice of us as we explored the area. We thought we had the right place, but couldn't locate the cache under. Didn't take us long to discover it once we started looking in!
TFTC!
TFTC!

Found 09:40 15/9/18 on a nice spring morning with TheTrueCornDogs. Thank you Sol de lune for the cache and bringing me to this location.
Thanks for the cache. Good swappables and it survived a fire through here not long ago.
