Tftc. Not as big as some other Wingaap caches found this morning but still very well made.
So I think our hero/villain had drunk too much Red-Ned and was lying on his side, but after a good talking too and a cuff under the ear we had back at the 'on guard' position. All in good order. Thanks Wingaap.
Collecting a cache nearby for a May challenge so also getting a few nearby. A walk in the bush is good for the soul after a day at work! TFTC
I needed a Y cache to finish off spelling January and its not an easy letter to come by. So today I headed out to find Wingaaps Y.A.S. and on the way there I walked past this one. The gps seemed to suggest it was close to the path but I knew there would be a bit of error under the trees so I searched around a fairly wide area. When I saw nothing unusual at all I thought it was a bit odd. Wingaaps artwork is usually pretty easy to spot. I read back through the logs and got a better idea of where it was supposed to be then went searching again. This time I found it on the ground and covered over with layers of bark. I located and signed the log then propped the piece back up at the base of the tree so it might be easier for the next finder to spot. I guess its pretty apt that he can be tough to find sometimes when hes hiding in the bush. Thanks for another great cache Wingaap! And thanks for maintaining this one Davidwazza!
Davidwazza I found your cache Hero or Villan on 10/7/2023, 3:00 pm. This is my find 5885 and find # 7 today. A quick and easy find. A favourite from me. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Performed maintenance visit today.
Cache and logbook still in excellent shape.
Have affixed hero/villain back into position. Should be good as new, sort of.

I thought I’d try and escape the heat in the city by completing a rainforest walk… except I keep getting sidetracked into the scrub chasing Wingaap caches… if there’s one good reason to venture into the scrub on a 35+ day, it’s to find a Wingaap creation…
I spent awhile going round in circles before reading the previous log… I then continued to go round in circles before finally spotting this little piece of art on the ground…
Perhaps a CO visit to return the cache to its former elevation…
This really is a piece of sculpture… tftc…

I had the morning free, so decided to find a few more of the old Wingaap caches in this area. I crossed over the road from YAS and quickly found this one. Unfortunately it has fallen off the tree but otherwise all is good. Left the hero/villain leaning against the tree. Tftc
Nice work. Second last of our Plan B on this rainy Friday. Found with Shazzar66. TFTC
In the area to pick up some flags from Sunday's mini rogaine we thought Why not double the fun ? so collected a couple of caches on the way. This was one of them.
Thanks wingaap for another great creation, and Davidwazza for taking on the maintenance

Find #2375 at 11:20 with BopsyGirl.
BopsyGirl suggested a rare daddy/daughter caching outing today, so of course I jumped at the chance. Our initial plan thwarted, we decided Wingaap Drive was a much better option anyway.
Dodging the rain, we set off for this one, and soon found the hide, cute as anticipated. Wingaap caches along here never disappoint.
After some quick point-and-shoot photos, we signed the log and headed on to our next stop.
Thanks for the cache, Wingaap and Davidwazza.

This afternoon, with a few errands completed and a pleasant weather afternoon, I thought I would head out solo back to Mount Nebo. I had previously attempted the geocache at that lookout six months ago but it was missing, and it has since been replaced. Then during my return back along Mount Nebo Road, I stopped at a few creative and high favourite wingaap geocaches, which closed out my enjoyable afternoon outing.
After descending and searching down the slope, and looking at a suitable height that I was getting accustomed to with the CO, I soon came across this cache. Wow, this geocache was bloody fantastic, and easily earns a Favourite Point from me! The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks wingaap for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Hero or villain? Perhaps a bit of both. Nonetheless, a legendary figure in our country, and there he was greeting us out in the bush today.
Glad to see he is still going strong, and ranging around these wild bushlands.
Cachers beware! There’s a lot of looting going on in them there hills!
Thanks wingaap

Another lovely cache find. I actually walked past a couple of times whilst Chikinlittle was saying there it is. I kept missing it. I think I would answer 'villan'. Great hide, another very creative Wingaap hide. TFTC.
Early morning walk to beat the heat, then a few more finds along the road back down again.
Appreciate the work that has gone into these caches by wingaap
Thank you for hiding this one.

Thanks for this find. And all the work that you put into it. It is surprisingly well hidden from certain angles. Got to cache, only to have phone go flat so couldn’t take a photo! Went back to car, charged phone to 11% and then eliton159 went back and took photos while I took. cobbler pegs from dog’s fur. And did a tick search!
Out to continue my trad a day and my cache a day challenges, which is now starting to become a difficult challenge due to fitting it in with my work and the lack of local caches. While I managed to get away from work early yesterday, today I have come back to finish of the ones in this area and a few more up the road.
After doing power of the bush, blown away I headed out to this one, a great cache and the theme was awesome the 4 down the road I headed up here to get these 3. I needed this one for my 360 degrees from home and I needed my hair adjusted from the wind today, lol. Found this one in good condition and gave me a smile when I found it, another wingaap cache I assume, I’m running out of favourite points to give.
Thank you for placing these in this area, I enjoyed the walk and the search.

This was out last find of the day whilst travelling around the Mt Gloriuos Mt Nebo area, after taking a long walk in this one was found fairly quickly and the log duly signed , to Wingaap TFTC and your metalworking skills on saying that NED needs a little work as he has fallen over,. From the inspectorrexteam.
TFTC smile 4833 had a great day with Brislions and miss Millie geo dog plenty of walking and slipping very good weather Thank you for placing this cache for our enjoyment
Another day out chasing caches to fill both hidden date and hidden month. I sent a message to grannysmith1947 to see she would like to find some older caches today. Vee Tree was the main one today. She bought along Millie the geodog with her. We had a good day.

My muggle friend lei and I parked nearby and soon spotted this cillian. Very cute cache. We did some cito where we parked the car. Thanks again for a fantastic cache.
On a day off, I had some time to chase some high FP caches for Cache Carnival
I had been craving a Geocaching adventure for quite a while and with the Cache Carnival still happening I thought finding creative caches in the area would be incredible and it would also get up my points.
We parked the car in a safe spot nearby and headed towards this cache. I certainly hadn’t prepared for some of the steep hill climbs and the bush bashing because I am prone to losing my footing (it was proven on multiple occasions haha!) but it was CERTAINLY worth it!
With it now being 6pm we decided to make this one our last until next time and I’m glad we did! A short stroll down to GZ and the cache was soon located. Thank you for placing this absolute beauty. A favourite point from me. TFTC!

Another Wingaap cache in the area which I can utilize for point collection for the current Cache Carnival.
I was a bit concerned as I approached because there were a few fallen branches in the area but I found the cache had not been affected.
TFTC wingaap I hope to get back to the area for a few more in the near future.

Another favorite. Thank you so much wingaap, we enjoyed all your caches.. thunderstorm and rain is here may have to cut our day short here but can not wait to come back
TFTC. I found it right where dereki was standing. If you take a buddy with you, make sure they know how to search
Oh hes gorgeous! I,m new in the country and i havent worked out yet whether hero or villain! You tell me
After finding an appropriate car parking spot at the start of a trail head, we manoeuvred around the gates flirting with the cliff edge and started our short walk to the cache. We only had about 60 metres to cover but it took an eon to get there because Mrs Woodyrothwell was in full text mode on her phone trying to cover multiple conversations. Walk 10 metres - stop - send of a text - wait for a response - start walking again - "ding" on the phone that a reply had come through - repeat - walk another 10 metres. Whenever someone complains about a lack of phone reception when caching needs to go on the hunt with my wife.
We started the trek down the hill and upon approach saw the exciting cache waiting for us to visit. Another cool find in the middle of the bush which my wife quickly looked at and admired for half a second before returning to her screen for more important matters. tftc

24/3/18, 1:15 pm Find #1563
Having grabbed the previous cache, I decided to continue on my way towards this one, once I managed to get back to the track again. And no sooner was I back at the track, than the track flattened and I arrived at not only the part where I needed to get back off the track, but at the head of the fire trail. Bother! This is where I should've parked for the last one too!
Soon enough I had made my find - another wingaap creation to enjoy.
Hero or villain? I would say the villain in this story is wingaap, making us trudge along such unkind terrain.... but oddly enough I can also say he is the hero here too, providing such enjoyable caches that we can't help but to put ourselves through the paces a little to come out at find them. A master of his art.
Thanks for the cache wingaap.

With a couple of free hours after lunch, I headed up Wingaap Drive to tidy up the handful of remaining hides not previously found.
Another great wimgaap creation here, definitely loved the attenrion to detail. Add another FP to your rather large hill of FPs.
Thanks for the hunt **wingaap**, this find makes #4569. Discover our TB

Another quick cache before lunch, good this one wasn't far off the track. Another awesome creation. Kids liked this one. TFTC
Eskies5 and I have made many, many one day lists and today was a day to tick off a few of those. After texting backwards and forwards I came up with an extensive to do list around Mt Nebo (I am sure Eskies5 was shaking her head at me, even I thought we might need a weeks accommodation to get through it - just don't think the families would have agreed).
Another cache just for me as Eskies5 had made this find on a previous visit to the area. I grew up near this hero/villians stomping ground and it was great to meet up with him again. Avoiding all cache guardians I gave the hide a little flick that saw it a little further down hill than expected and of course there were laughs from Eskies5 as she finds great happiness in my fears!! Yet again a great hide here, thanks wingaap

Another cool cache. I was a big fan as a young boy. He was just such a glorified figure. But as to the question posed, looking on it through adult's eyes, unfortunately, although he was, to some extent, a victim of his circumstances, he was a cold blooded cop killer at the end of the day.

Continuing the bush walk, ventured further west for another wingaap cache. It was a relatively quick down hill walk to collect this find. Thanks for this cache wingaap.
When I saw this was a Wingaap, I knew I was in for a clever cache. This one did not disappoint. Nice metalwork. Tftc.
Lucky enough to be in Brisbane with some time to kill. I decided some caching was in order. Gunnie69 suggested I do this drive so up I came.

What to do on a rainy long weekend? Go geocaching of course! So off we set for a scenic drive up Mt Nebo road and around Wivenhoe dam. Nice easy spot to pull over away from main road. Just a little harder to spot, but once again a fantastically designed cache, thanks Wingaap.TFTC.
Gotcha !!! One may well ask this of the CO. " Hero or Villain " ?? Hero for all the interesting caches and villain for the devious placements. A Fav. Pt. for your efforts. Visited TBs and GCs,,,,, TFTC
I was in the area introducing a friend to caching, so while waiting for her, i decided to pick up a few extras that had been on my radar for a while.
A quiet stroll along this well used bush path soon had me at gz.
Well, to me he is a hero. Others maybe see him as a villan.
And Wingy is the master of metal skills.
Signed and returned. Tftc

The cache is a hero! What a beaut I love finding irregularities in the bush, thank you!
This was a nice easy find, except for our muggle friend who was taking a break by leaning on the tree that the cache was attached to. On the way back to the car we took the fire trails and were in dee discussion over the oxfam and kokoda challenge walks when I slipped on loose gravel and was attacked by a rock on the way down. So much for wearing longer pants so my legs don't get scratched up while caching. Needless to say a good part of my hip resembles an eggplant.
A cool compainion cache to On a Dark Knight. The hits just keep on comming. Thanks for another great cache wingaap.
Little bit of a bush bash but well worth it! Loved this clever little fellow hiding out here! Great effort! TFTC!
Ah, that old question. Personally i can't see "hero"; though probably don't know enough to make a completely informed opinion.
Today i was determined to go for a bit of a walk and finding a few more of your caches was the inspiration i needed.
As i made the cache grab i was greeted with several sets of legs "Meep!" Log container was rather quickly dropped to the ground to clear the creature off then tentatively picked up once safe. Logbook signed and replaced as found (minus the spider) - everything found in good condition.
Thanks for another great cache.

Sunday. Slow Puncture set out today to travel afar with the aim of capturing a couple of caches to reduce the spaces on our D/T grid. This was not one of them.
Up on Mt Nebo Road and pulled in to get this random. Hey hey! Wingaap cache It is an interesting question you pose with the cache title, one for the ages. For us, we think a bit of both. Signed and returned.
This was the 5th of 7 caches we found on this trip.
Thanks [Blue]wingaap[/Blue], for bringing us here.

After finding a nearby cache, NurseyJulie and I had returned to the car to head home. I needed to find somewhere to turn the car around safely, so drive a little further up the road. Just after I turned the car around, NurseyJulie said, "There's a cache just over there"...which was the other side of the road. Again, I found somewhere to turn the car around and drove back and found a place to park. I went over the gate, NurseyJulie went around it. I always do things the hard way :p It wasnt long before we were at GZ, or so I thought. My phone was telling me that I had "0 metres" to go to the cache. NurseyJulie was about five metres away, saying: "Here it is." My phone is such a reliable instrument!!! I wandered over and admired the handiwork of the CO. We then signed the log and rehid the cache before heading back to the car and down the mountain.
Having found YAS, it was getting dark and cold and we had to turn around the car somewhere safe to travel home. After we turned around, I said to Selva Girls, oh look, there's a geocache just a few metres from here. So we spun around again and parked into the little layby. A short walk to the GZ and again, we found the cache which did not disappoint. Brilliant work again! TFTC wingaap

We decided it be would be nice to do a run from The Gap, over Mt. Glorious, to Lake Wivenhoe today.
Every now & then you just have to escape suburbia.
IPS but damn! Wouldn't have it any other way.
Great effort here!
Signed the log & replaced as found.
Took some happy snaps.
Spent a few moments in awed contemplation.

Cache number 3 on Day 1 of 'Kim and Barb's Excellent Adventure'. Today is all about visiting the caches of a certain Mr Wingaap. We had planned out trip up Wingy's Way over a month ago, but bad weather, work commitments and busy schedules had prevented us from starting our adventure until today. We found a safe parking spot - thank you Mr Wingaap - and headed down the trail and into the forest. Barb shouts out 'Found it!'. Where? Oh I can see you now. Very cute! Head says villain, but being a true Aussie and champion of the underdog, my heart says hero. All good here Mr Wingaap, thanks for a great start to our trip down Wingy's Way.
'kim and barbs excellent' really starts here

Out caching with Misssusan, Lisylou, jemalucy, Remsjw, and Bennyboppers. Great cache!! As you said is he a hero or a villain?
Ned and his neddy, oops no horse. Hero of course, until caught outside a pub. Probably the tip off came from his wife - "he's stolen the letter box again, and gone off to the pub!".
Geograndad has to take credit for this one , just a might too steep for me, all good with cache TFTC
