We are staying at Jam Jerrup for the weekend for a friend’s 60th birthday party. The party isn’t till tonight so we are spending the day caching …. Well …around the shocking weather that is! It was raining when we got up, then clouds and fog descended and we couldn’t see French Island anymore from the lounge-room of the holiday house. Finally it cleared so we set off and this was the next cache on the agenda. We looked around and G tried there but no luck so we looked a bit more but then decided to go back there and try again with the help of a tool from the car. G took a bit of skin off the top of his hand trying to get access. Nice hide!

Much easier on a cold day, owning a very similar style cache made this a very quick find. Tftc

24-Jun-23
Heading home agter spending some time exploring the area over the last few days.
It was cold, overcast, and just on dusk, so there was no one around which meant there was plenty of time to give the area a thorough search.
Tried several options and poked fingers in strange placed and came up short. Walked around in circles for a while, honing in on GZ and exploring different hiding options, until finally having a brain fart by thinking outside the box (or maybe inside ).
Cache was soon discovered in its clever but tricky hiding spot. Luckily I had an added advantage to be able to access it!
Log signed (after having to go back to the car to get a pen that actually worked), and replacing everything as found. TFTC

11-May-23
I my first walk past, I looked in all the wrong places. However, on the second visit, I had a better idea of where the cache was, but the thing seemed stuck. I spent time looking underneath other things and then returned to my suspicion. A bit more force and the cache revealed itself. I love these types! Thanks for placing it here.

13-Apr-23
Apart from the other three finds I found in the area this one (like others) alluded me today. Notwithstanding,I was on a mission to get to Reef island at low tide so couldn’t hang around. Will be back.

Today we were finally able to turn that sad face upside down, after many many tries over years of looking! Such a great feeling when we finally fount it! GPS was bang on too! Well done, such a great hide!

24-Nov-22
Had to read previous logs to work out where I might look for this one. Log sheet slightly moist.

24-Nov-22
tried twice on the way to Corinella and back... may come back another day to tackle this again

Wow, what a great cache set up. Well done guys. TFTC

09-Nov-22
After a big walk I arrived at this one to see that it was placed by Gonefishen07’s - groan! Omg how am I going to muster energy to search. just as i PAF a lightbulb hit and I understood - great construction love it

29-Oct-22
Hubby is working hard nearby while I keep the kids occupied. After shopping, a card game and a board game I got them out to do some caches. The now taller than me reached but did not locate originally but I had another go and soon located. Needed his assistance still. Signed the slightly damp cache and wandered off to do another few more caches. Thanks for the cache.

01-Oct-22
Oooh, clever hide, just within reach. We spent quite a while looking at other locations - luckily no muggles around - before I recalled another cache I had found in a similar-looking location. That memory and the hint meant the cache was then quickly in hand. Replacing it was almost trickier than getting it out, due to its size and some surrounding vegetation!

23-Sep-22
Found. Out caching today with PapaGrouch and WeRAmused, they had found this one not long ago so it was an easy find today. TFTC

16-Sep-22
I thoroughly enjoyed my walk along this trail today...a few locals and their dogs were out and about but for the majority of the time the trail was all mine. This cache had me testing all my Geo skills as I paced up and down in and out trying to locate this cache...I continuously kept saying the hint over and over again and thankfully reading far to I to it finally paid off as I had a lightbulb moment ...ta da cache located and signed...and I happily walked away with a smiley face.

Pic below is of the cows in paddock along trail.

Enjoying an unexpected afternoon with PapaGrouch today. I have looked for this one lots of times but last time I was here I had a better idea of where it was but I couldn’t get to it. PapaGrouch was very useful here today and now after several years the sad face has been turned around TFTC

Found by The Empire + H
A lovely walk along the shore in the sunshine. A quick find here in a relatively quiet time for this area. We wandered past a few more times in the afternoon and wouldn't have been able to find it if we missed it on the first pass. A top cache, favourite point added. Thanks for the cache Gonefishen07.

A classic, well constructed hide! I can see how this might take a while to locate, but luckily for me it was the second placed I looked as I had another Gonefishen07 cache in my mind. Thanks so much for the cache in this gorgeous spot, worthy of a favourite point

20-Nov-21
Nope!! Had a pretty good look in every “under and in” place we could see (and some we couldn’t!) but absolutely no luck whatsoever! Maybe if we’re coming back this way again sometime we will try again

19-Nov-21
Had a good rummage about but still couldn't find it. Maybe next time we are in the area

07-Oct-21
While enjoying a coffee and the rain falling we sat in the muddy car park and admired the many hoof prints left by the saltwater exercising horses.
Once the rain had passed we were into the search.
This is a cache that we have looked for previously and it was a case of "well we have looked everywhere else, what did we miss?" and sure enough the options were narrowed down and there it was.
Oh how simply tricky.
Thanks to Gonefishen07 for this tricky cache, a favourite.

#13 for today.

A most beautiful day to tackle this line of caches, on what has to be one of the best kept secret coastlines in Victoria. It was amazingly calm, scenic and the sunset by the end of the day was just magic. Glad we stuck around for as long as we could today.

Cache was not in obvious spot, and then a more level head was needed to think through other possible locations. Bingo! It was just like one we had come across very early on in our caching journey. The log was signed with pleasure. Thanks for bringing us out here Gonefishen07

The weather was looking good , with restrictions lifted in regional Vic I headed to Corinella via the Gurdies armed with My mask and Sanitizer, I had a great day exploring the region. There were quite a few challenging and novel hides in the area. this is one of the caches I found today. No trouble here, not many Muggles about today.

Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache.

Caching in the area we picked up a few caches and this was one of them.

This took some time but after a more detailed search and think outside the square we had the cache in hand. Cache and contents were in good condition.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Out to find a few caches on the first day of the New Year. My main target was a cache placed in March 2001 and once I had found that I grabbed a few others in the same area. Not as hot as some recent days so it was very pleasant to be out and about caching. I headed to an event in Bass and then on to here for my last stint of caching for the day. Parked near here and walked off to try a couple of others to this one. Came back to here and took me a little while to work it out but I got there in the end. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Gonefishen07. This one earns a favourite point from me.

07-Dec-19
Definitely high muggle area. Had to make polite conversation with one or two passer-bys. Then back to search. Read through some old logs, and it clicked where we had to look. Sure enough we had the log in our hands not before long. Now, just had to wait out a few more muggles to replace the hide. TFTC Gonefishen07.

Finally!

09-Jun-19
We are having a holiday in Phillip Island this week. Being the Queen's Birthday Long Weekend, coupled with some lovely weather, made it very busy, with muggles out everywhere you went. There were many people walking and riding along the trails today.

Even though there were a few muggles about, the geo teen discovered this easily enough between people. So pleased I had him with me today, as I would have had trouble getting this one.

Thanks Gonefishen07 for all the effort of placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work.

Finally I found this elusive little cache! After numerous hunts I sat down and read the clues, logs and thought hard. Eventually I decide to try another tack and it worked! Ingenious cache. Worthy of a favourite point. Luckily the stronger muscles of geopartner helped with retrieval. Thanks Gonefishen7

have been looking for this one overtime we come down for a swim but no luck for us!! lots of muggles around too so hard to get a good look. will prob try again before we leave this lovely town tomorrow.

Out for another one off the D/T grid. Arrived on a hot summers Sunday to people everywhere. Had a scout around and narrowed it down then sat in the shade and waited. As one car left another arrived but eventually I got my break and luckily found it in the 2nd place I looked then walked down to the beach to enjoy the view for a moment before continuing on.
Thanks Gonefishen07 Smile

On a very hot day, the first in a long time , the family wanted to go to the beach. Here was not busy, but when the family wanted to go, we had to walk right past this one. With the pressure of "Hurry up Daddy" on, this one eluded me. Will return with Geokids to ride the trail on a cooler day and hopefully get that yellow happy face on our map.

After getting a number of caches in the area, this was the last on the list. After sitting on the beach resetting the GPS, I checked it with this cache, and it was working pretty dam well.
From this well hidden and well made cache in the first place that I looked.
Extremely well made cache this one. I tried a similar item using my 3D printer, but not nearly as good.
Thanks for the cache Thing No1 and Gone Fishen 07

We needed a special tool here to help us to access the cache.

I have been in Victoria for just over a week (visiting from Adelaide), hanging out with the lovely micaparamedic and attending lots of events. Today we headed out to meet the awesome Alansee and to find a handful of caches - what a fabulous day we had!

Thanks so much for the cache Gonefishen07! Smile

We got lucky here as there was only one car in the car park and it was empty.
Looked around but didn't find anything obvious. Then I noticed something that looked promising and low and behold it was the very well hidden cache. Definitely worth a favourite point.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache and for bringing us here

Find #1085. Our second for the day and a chance at a souvenir yay. We come to Coronet Bay often for the fireworks and love the area, we think of it as a quaint place to live. On approach we both both spotted the likely hide and were right. Retrieval was the hard part and it drew blood from Geohubby. Thanks Gonefishen07 for another clever find and the chance to get a souvenir.

03/05/2015 - 4.15pm - Cache No. 426 - 15th for the day on our 190km Geocaching trip - with dgfb33 & geogran1937. Muggles kept away this time til all had been signed & replaced. Glad I had a caching buddy for this one, don't think I would have managed on my own. TFTC.

02-May-15
02/05/2015 -> 2.15pm - Didn't find it - with dgfb33 & geogran1937. Started out with no-one in sight & managed a brief look then a small hoard turned up on a mission so after loitering a bit we decided we had to leave. We'll need to do that another day too. Plan "B" also foiled for a new cache for dgfb33.

Saw a lovely yellow parrot on the road sometime after leaving this one. Stopped to see if it was injured but it was capable of flying up into a ti-tree. We suspect an escaped pet but we weren't tall enough to get it out of the tree. Would have made a lovely pet at their house.

Stemicmitsar and I headed to San Remo tonight for a change of pace with the intention of grabbing whatever caches we could along the way. We got a little distracted and didn't get there but there's always next time.
No problems here. A quick find and we continued on our way home.

Found @ 11:07pm, find # 3897.

Out and about on the hunt for caches with biggles1024, this one was found.
After getting a bite to eat at the Golden arch, we started to head in the direction of home but once again we detoured off the main road to find these along the way.
This one had us looking around a little, but with a little jiggle the cache was located we just needed a tool to help relieve it from its nicely hidden hide.
This is my 200th find on a Gonefishen07 cache hide and still a lot to go.

Thanks to Gonefishen07 for placing this cache.

Looked around but gps signal pretty poor - looked at the hint and had a great idea so once the locals had passed (who walks a dog along the beach in this weather?) had a look where I was certain it would be and nothing... About to go and spotted something - just so happened to have seen one of these before and lo and behold there it was! Thanks for putting such a huge effort into this one!
