Tftc. Went up and down the wall a few times till I spotted that something different that led me to cache. Great hide. A FP from me. Picked up a TB.
So happy 2 avenge yesterday's DNF, with the kind clue from a recent cacher. I initially thought, no but a torch proved me wrong & I tried again! T4TC:-)
Spent some time but to no avail...I DID find a hole in a rock with what I thought was the cache..but . . . It was a live cane toad....
TFTC! After looking for longer than I hoped, I was about to give up and say I couldnt find it but then I remembered Im looking for a regular geocache! I adjusted my perimeters and soon found the cache! What a spot!
After an impromptu decision to run out and grab some caches, I stopped by this one on my way out to Ferny Grove.I shouldnt talk my car up near the path to this one and stumbled across a snake which gave me a little scare. On my way to GZ and then moaned when I saw the rock wall, oh no, not another rock wall I said , then started my search in my quest and had to think outside the block. (Like the use of my words there, ha ha)After systematic search, I located the cache ,yippee. This ones worthy of a favourite point.I found your cache, A Lonely Spot today. This is my 3210 find.IolantheK, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
I looked for this cache about 2 1/2 years ago without any luck. Today the cache was fully exposed. I guess that was lucky for me or perhaps I would have missed it again. I signed the log and added a TB to the cache. After returning the container I added the cover that had been removed. Hopefully the cache will remain safe. TFTC
Today I went to the Ferny Grove Transfer Station to drop off some chemicals at their free collection day. Then afterwards I went to find a couple of caches that I had left unfound in the area. I made my way down to the lonely spot and then after a quick search up and down the wall I noticed something odd which led me to the cache. That was certainly not the type of thing I had imagined I was looking for. Very impressive cache and nicely hidden. Thanks for the cache IolantheK!
Friday afternoon and was nearby grabbing. A cache for the March challenge. Been a few months since its last been found but the wasps still remain. These are the biggest wasp nests I have ever seen! Made finding it a little more dangerous. TFTC, found with mugglemum.
Bear0503 and i met up after work to find a few caches and this was one she found a few weeks ago but without a pen. Today as i was searching with her i asked her to tell me if i was hot or cold and i ended up boiling . Would have taken a lot longer without the help. Love the hide. Thanks for the fun
IolantheK I found your cache A Lonely Spot on 29/5/2023, 2:00 pm. This is my find 5449 and find # 9 today. That took a while to find. After rereading previous posts and looking at images I started concentrating in one area. Then I found it but wasn’t sure how to get to it. Wasn’t long before I had CIH. Thanks for the cache, mate! Today, baby Warren and I had an early start with a northern drive to Caboolture to participate in parkrun, and we used the opportunity to complete [Central Lakes Caboolture](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/a7df1f4d-e91c-4a0f-adb0-023897a20506) Adventure Lab. It was then followed by [JaT's Community Celebration Event](https://coord.info/GC8K07H), where we had a lovely walk around the lakes area completing the [Caboolture - Centenary Lakes Park](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/9c0d34cf-53ca-4489-8daf-9b64d9ef7e7a) Adventure Lab. We finished our half-day excursion with a hike up Saddleback Mountain / Mount Elimbah, which was a pleasant and scenic walk.
In the afternoon, I took a drive to Mitchelton's [Secret Santa Picnic - Community Celebration Event](https://coord.info/GC8K08T), and then visited a few geocaches around Ferny Grove, of which I had been meaning to return to after not having the correct TOTT when we walked [I'm Hooked on Geocaching](https://coord.info/GC38CEN).
It took a few runs up and down the wall attempting to spot something suspicious, but the comments of inaccurate coordinates didn't help my search. I soon spotted a glimpse of the cache about 12-15 m away from the posted coordinates at S 27° 24.520' E 152° 55.729'. Nicely hidden, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. There did seem to be a plentiful supply of cherry tomatoes growing along this wall . Thanks Brother Colin for the cache placement, and IolantheK for its ongoing maintenance.

I am in Brisbane for the week-end for a friends B'day.
And there is time for a couple of finds on the way.
A quick find for me today. Who would of thunk [?]
Thanks for the cache.

After the nearby event, my original plan was to doing some walking in the nearby hills and find some caches. But then IolantheK asked if I'd like a guided tour of her caches in the area - wow - an offer I couldn't refuse! Seven hours, 16 caches and 1.5 ALs later, I headed home just on dark!
Back down the hill to here. My co-ordinates had me near a wasp nest but IolantheK suggested it was about 10m in another direction where I spotted something suspicious and discovered the sneaky hide. I believe the CO is going to change the co-ordinates. Tftc

A short walk in and then a good cache at the coordinates.
Have a fav point for the placement
Thank you for this one

Standing back to avoid the wasps we noticed something that had the distinct qualities of a sneaky hide.
Trying my best to squeeze in the last few caches I need to finish Reach The Peak before the deadline while also dealing with this recent flood disaster. Had some time yesterday afternoon to head out and after finding one nearby, decided we could squeeze in one more before it got too dark (we were silly enough to leave our torches at home).
Once at GZ I went one way and my partner went the other and lo and behold it was my partner who came across it. Was definitely a bit of a challenge, certainly in the dark! Need a bit of strength for this one too. With spiders and toads scurrying about, I quickly stamped my name in the log and was on my way home. TFTC!

If finding the wasps nests was the aim I could definitely say found. But the cache is a different matter DNF
Nice spot. Just had to check that the huge spider next to it was actually dead.
Not the usual Rock Wall cache… far from it…
Before I started scaling the wall I thought I should do some reading… oh…
After adjusting my search area one way, and then the other, I managed to spot a corner… tftc…

Caching after the nearby Evant with Snickersall, GrannySmith1947 and Deaf Phantom. Nice quick find, log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC
On completion of the beaut Ferny Grove Event teamed up with Imbunda, grannysmith1947 and DeafPhantom to look for a few local caches.
After reading the description and some recent logs, we knew where we shouldn't be looking and with it being wheelchair accessible it made our searching much easier. Wow, what a brilliant hide, absolutely loved this and certainly worthy of a favourite point.

Out for a long awaited caching day with nikid1. She had planned a day for us to nab some D/T's I need & whatever else we came across. Some resident wasps had me surveying likely spots from a distance but a read of past logs had us moving away from them & a closer inspection soon had the surprising cache in hand.
Thanks for the cache Brother Colin

Out for a day of caching with KerriMG. Arrived at GZ and with a few wasps buzzing around we thought we might have to give this one a miss. But reading back on logs we moved away from the wasps and KerriMG made the find. Nice cache. Thanks Brother Colin
This was the last find of the day today and I
We thought it was going to take a long time. However on reading back on previous find a clue was found and whole, cache was in hand. Took the last path tag.
TFTC from the inspectorrexteam.

Lucky find! Good hide! Took us a while. Watch out for the wasps (although if you are near them, you’re looking in the wrong spot )
I would have found this much more quickly if I had gone in the opposite direction from GZ in my hunt originally. Quite an impressive size cache for this hide. We were joined by a Willie wagtail who hopped along with us as we searched. Cache was found safe and dry. TFTC Brother Colin
Lovely to find a big cache. Walkway beautifully green.
Approaching muggles, small muggle and four-legged muggle meant quartpotpobblebonk had to sit on the cache hide and pretend the cache was something else.
Left a couple of pathtags.

Hi, if anyone finds this geocache and the geocoin in it. Please leave it there as I need to pick it back up to log it properly. Thanks in advance!
Bloody hell, Colin! How do you find these spots!? Look a little while of searching but found it some distance from where the gps was telling us to go. Very cleverly hidden. Deserves a favourite point! TFTC
FP from me - loved this one. Took a bit of hunting as my gps had me about 12m out. Thanks for something different Brother Colin
Wow, what a cache! This is a rock wall hide like no other - highly recommended .
I am not known as one that pays attention to detail - it really hampers my abilities sometimes, such as today. I very briefly looked at the cache details and set off in search of a micro or small. Errr that would be my first error.
Reading through the log of a previous finder made me step back and think. And actually READ the cache description and attributes. Oh, ok. That narrows it down a lot. Ahhhhhh and there it is. Duh! What an amazing cache hide, this is really beaut.
Stunning winter's afternoon caching . You've put a smile on my face.
TFTC and TB visit while I'm here.

What a great hide! Was a bit worried with a few wasps nests around, when I spotted something! GM helped retrieve it, and it was quickly signed and put back. TFTC!
Was out with Selva Girls she was helping cleanup a few trouble caches for me. Final found all good.
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. TFTC *508* streak. *3001* Finds

This cache was told to me as I must do. So today I made a special effort to drive over here and find it. While coordinates had me in the house behind I started my search. Spending a lot of time looking for a small container hmm found 2 huge wasps nest that I lucky to say I didn’t disturb or were near gz.
I sat back and looked at the description and cache size and then went whatThe Began looking differently now and soon spotted a likely hide zeroed in and very cleaver and a nice little compartment to house the cache as well.
Log signed and cache carefully replaced and covered back as before.
Thanks for bringing me here and for the great hiding spot

I hate caches hidden in these walls. For a long time, they were a nemesis of mine. Nothing much has changed and today's effort has done nothing to improve my thoughts about them.
I suppose it started when I arrived at GZ ahnd noticed a lovely wasp nest right where the phone was pointing.
Great.
I'll look in there last then. So I ad a solid first pass over the wall excluding the crack with the wasps. "Maybe I can just peak past the nest without disturbing them" said only a stupid man. Never even got very close and the rotten little budgers attacked. Three bites to the neck and arm were the result.
No cache found today. My return trip will be with a lighter and a deodorant can - ala home made flamethrower - a wasps best.
Thanks Colin

Found today with my Niece (eclipse_94) who has accompanied and assisted me Geocaching a few times over the years. Now with her own Membership and phone App I was accompanying her. This one was a no find many years ago for me, so well done eclipse_94. Keep going! Thanks for the cache Brother Colin.
We looked all over for this one. Scoob put his hands into a few holes. we almost gave up when i spotted something a little different to the rest. FP for this one
Got a bit lost on where to look for a while. Finally sat back and had a look at all the rocks and got a bright idea
With a heap of solved puzzles still on the list, Bristracker and I decided to spend boxing day finding little boxes and knocking off some more of the audio puzzle series. This was nearby, but with that number of favourite points, we decided on a quick detour. I found the cache relatively quickly and we were impressed with the hide. Took kiwi TB to move on as it seemed appropriate. TFTC
So glad we detoured from our list of Puzzle cache finals to go for this one Traditional. Can see why it has so many favourites. Zacgyver was first to put a hand on this one and there were two good Trackable inside. Certainly gets a favourite point from me.
I am out for a few hours to find a few geocaches.
A short search before finding the cache here today.
Thanks for the cache.

I am in town so I thought I would check up on a few caches.
All good here.
I dropped in a couple of TB's.

As I looked for a parking spot for this one, I drove slowly past a family setting up for a Sunday garage sale. I think they thought I was their first customer. Sorry, folks!
It was indeed a lonely spot behind the houses here, but very picturesque in spots, too. Nobody came past as I worked my way along the wall, and I was able to do what was required to get to the excellent container and sign the log, then place everything back as it was without even a whiff of being muggled.
Thanks for the cache, Brother Colin.

Next pitstop, and its always good to tick more than one BC cache off in a day. Isn't a norm from where I am from . I managed to spot this one fairly quickly. A great cache found here. TFTC Brother Colin
Love it!!!!! I was checking all the cracks with no luck, when geohubby said "hmmmm what about this", then boom! Great work. FP from me.
Out today with AndyCol95 trying desperately trying to find enough caches to satisfy the requirements of the souvenirs.
I tried to solve enough puzzles last night but alas my puzzle solving skills are not up to par, so we had to make do with finding caches with 10 + FPs!
It's not so bad though, means all caches are ones that at least 10 people have deemed good enough to relinquish a FP to.
We drove up and down a little to find a reasonable place to park and when we found it we parked.
Down the hill, along the bike path and to GZ we go.
I had read the notes and had an idea on what we were looking to be searching around and I was right.
I braced myself for a very detailed search and as we were looking AndyCol95 mentioned there was a wasps nest over to one side.
I moved to look over the other side so I didn't disturb the nest.
I finished up a thorough look over that side and headed back to the middle.
This time I kept going, keeping an eye out for the nest.
I was a bit tired of looking so closely so I was having a wide angle look.
I keen eye spotted it just as AndyCol95 came to join me and spotted it as well.
Sneaky hide, and a nice big one too. Great construction around it.
TFTC.
I asked if there were any trackables in the container as I signed it off.
AndyCol95 said no, but when I had a look in there I found one!
Hmmmmm.....
I grabbed it to take it on our way.

A bit further along from where my GPS was saying but I quickly spotted it. Took the three TBs
Not so lonely here today. Breadman75 visited early in the day and I had at least two noisy dogs for company for a little while. Very nice construction around the container. TFTC.
Out and about checking a few of my caches and dropping in a TB or 3.

Pouring with rain and needing a cache to continue my streak I headed over from work still dressed in my work gear. I knew the drizzle would keep the muggles away and having my two kids captive in the car meant the number of eyes looking had tripled. We parked and the rain ceased for a moment and we headed down of course true to form I slipped on the mud and slid down the slope on my knees and ended up with mud everywhere. I think the slide must have down something to heighten my geosenses as I nailed the hide within seconds. Took a different approach back to the car and did not any extra mud to the outfit.
