A nice bit of history with this find while out and about with Byker152 and geodogs. TFTC
Out and about today exploring the area with Grannan55 and Geodogs. We are staying at the Rock Recreation reserve for a few days and working through these local caches. All good here. Now, onto the next one for the day. TNLN TFTC
While Im between completing Ad Labs I drove past this old little church.A quick and easy find. TFTC
A lovely old country church perched up proudly on the hill and a great little find. TFTC.
On our way home from Wagga and decided to head home via a different route and this was one of the hides we came across. What an interesting story of this remarkable old building, quiet today, probably would of seen a lot more traffic over the past 100 plus years, found easy enough, thanks baby & Mrs gopher for the history and the hide.
Last day of a midweek Victoria trip. Great caching and lots of driving. Found superb camping spots along the Murray. Detouring via Wagga Wagga on the way home.

On a trip to Narrandera thought would find some hides on the way thank you for the placement I have left a couple of swaps
Day off with the family today so decided to head north for a change and complete some caches around the Lockhart area aswell as pick up a few on the way.
Had to wait for a big sprayer to exit the driveway before I went to look for this one. A quick find, very nice old church.

A quick find here. Is there any connection to the town of Mittagong that's about 100km south of Sydney?

Family from NSW were caching in the local area so I decided to drive up and join them. All up today got 7 caches and 1 DNF. This was today's second find on my own.
Lovely little church, with a dark moody sky behind it today. Nice and easy find with the co-ords spot on. Thanks for the cache TNLN

Out caching with friends today. This one I missed the 1st sign, then Wazza9 walked up and retrieved the container. Stamped log and replaced. Thanks to baby&Mrs gopher.
TFTC,
At The Rock to catch up with baby&Mrs gopher on our way to a weeks Golf.
Today we headed out for a full days caching which took us on a trip of about 500 Km's.
A great day out, love the way the church was built to protect it from winds.

40 plus day and we decide to go caching on the way home from the daughter's. Churches and schools seemed to be a bit of a theme on our meandering cross country. Enjoyed seeing some different roads from our usual path. Thanks for placing aand to bring us to these less often visited areas. Cache in good condition. Tftc
As the restrictions are now being lifted it is time to enable our hides. Tnx for your patience.

Out and about today in the Rock and it is a glorious February day. Only sad note is that I am out caching alone; no partner Ozreg to enjoy the day with! Thanks to baby&Mrs gopher for providing and maintaining all these fun caches. Now on to a busy and fun caching adventure . Thanks to Moosetash for the PT
A quick find on our way past. A lovely little church, thanks for highlighting it for us. Took pt left pt.
Today with that need to cache it was decided that a quick trip out to the local roads in the shire would make for a good place to go and collect the daily this time at the old church and the name sake of the town we often stay at some distance from here. This was a nice quick find at GZ and after doing the paperwork we returned home.
Thanks baby&Mrs gopher for placing this cache on the map for all to find.
Thanks baby&Mrs gopher for placing this cache on the map for all to find.
Damned GPS . Knew it was a few ks up the road but the GPS wanted to take us on a 40km trip. Quick find and cache OK
My plan today was to head to Wangaratta and complete more of the Mountains to Murray rail trail, but with a ftf still up for grabs in Culcairn thought I would head in the opposite direction instead.
I love an afternoon caching by myself especially on the back roads. With the radio turned up, no kids arguing and not seeing another sole on the road (except the two ladies riding their horses)I could go wherever I liked.
I was looking in the incorrect spot to start with but soon found the obvious hide. I don't think the nesting birds above liked me being here as they sure made their presence known. Tahnks baby&Mrsgopher another off the list.

We had a wander around the church before heading off to find the cache, interesting way to make certain the cache does not go walkabout. SL TFTC
After a trip to Sydney during the week I was close enough to the final Carnival Souvenir to make it worth the while. I had looked at the caches at Beechworth and all the good ones had gone, so decided to head north to try and get across the line at The Rock. Had two of the geokids and the geohound, so was a bit slower than usual and plans changed after lunch once I had the souvenir. Did some maintenance on three of my caches around Culcairn, then headed to three new ones at Henty, before targeting some well-liked caches around The Rock. Once I hit 500 then picked up a couple at Tootool and then headed south west to pick up some remote caches that don't get visited too often. In the end got 18 caches and 1 DNF but a good mix, including some that made the kids laugh.
Headed south from Milbrulong (population 10?) to Mittagong (population <5?) by the widest country road in the district - could drive three cars side by side down this bit of tar. Either someone has good mates or there is an unknown industry with serious vehicle movements that weren't present on a Sunday. This was a nicely hiddeen cache at a quiet location.

Another interesting relic of history we never would have laid eyes on if not for geocaching! Thankyou for another adventure down a new road bMg!
After a failed mission to come to Walla Walla last week, I found myself with a full day off today to come today. I have been planning to do the ‘4.5 Tree Climb Trail’ for quite some time and collect the pre-solved puzzles located within the town limits. It was full of finds, DNF’s, lunch and conversations with the people I met along the way. I also loved the great locations I visited today. After finishing caching in Walla, I headed north to collect the lone caches around the back roads which lead to lots of backtrack driving. With all this driving I found myself with almost 600kms making it my biggest distant caching day I have ever yet. TB visit on all found caches. On some of the smaller log sheets/books I signed as 5/9 JM. I would like to thank all CO’s for the caches I found, the locations I visited and for the fun I had today.
Today’s totals:
24 Finds (20 Groundspeak and 3 GCA)
3 DNF’s
This one was next to find and now I understand the meaning behind the name. A well maintained church. TFTC and bringing me to this location.

fitzy_1965 & I headed to the Wagga region for a weekend of caching. Made our base camp at Oura Beach with the aim of completing the WWW trail & the Bed-Rock series and anything in-between.
Today we packed up camp and headed out for some of the more out of the way caches before heading home.
Quick find here today.

Happy Feet 1 and I took advantage of todays beautiful weather to undertake a few dozen caches in this region. This cache being one of them, thanks to CO for placing and maintaining the cache.
Quick grab on our way past. Love driving all of these country roads. Tftc. Great hide.
TFTC. We are camped at The Rock for the weekend. This morning we decided to travel out to Lockhart to attempt some of the newer caches since our last visit several years ago. We had a good morning going out via Lockhart and returning via Yerong Creek. We successful found 11 caches and missed there caches in Lockhart. All caches were in good order. Thanks Farmers5 and babyandMrs gopher.
A quick find and we had time to have a look at the nearby church.
A quick find and we had time to have a look at the nearby church.
The first time I had been out along this way so it was great to see some new sights and to pick a couple of caches while out for a drive.
We would never had visited the old historic church here without your placement. We stopped up at the front gate and had a look around before attempting the search.
It is great that it is in such good shape for its age. Standing out front we could imagine the faithful congregating there at the end of the 19th century and beyond, a hub of local activity.
At GZ we were fortunate enough not to spy the goanna that the previous finders encountered, and therefore the cache was soon found.
SL at 3pm. Cache is all ok.
A lovely stopover with much historical significance. TFTC baby&Mrs gopher.

Easy find, once the bloody big goanna had climbed high enough up the tree to not cause an issue.
Loved this little old church in the middle of nowhere. Quick find. Thanks for the cache.
Enjoying a drive out and about these back roads and took the opportunity to grab a few caches. Nice old church to make this find.

Out on a caching morning with baby&Mrs gopher. As we were out this way it was a good time for me to find it and them to do a cache check. Found without any problems. There was a TB in the cache, but it appears to have cloned itself and now there are two of them on the loose. Gave the TB to the CO to sort out! Signed log and returned as found. TFTC baby&Mrs gopher.
First find of many! Great hiding spot and beautiful little church and area! Make sure to check out pleasent hills township as well

[:(!] On the way to Albury to spend some quality time with my geowife after spending the night in Griffith with my geoson and his family, made a slight detour to pick up some caches along the way and this was one of them, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter of minutes.

1719. 4th of six while having a pleasant Saturday morning drive around this neck of the woods. A nice quick find but I had trouble convincing my folks that I had visited a Mittagong church during my 3 hour drive. A photo soon convinced them and what a lovely little church it is. TFTC.
#3441 Found on a short meander on our way to our destination today and this was one of the few caches found on our way. A great little church which is fantastic condition given its age - great to see that these buildings continue to survive. A very nicely deployed cache was found by Dad, our thanks to baby&Mrs gopher [^]

Found with baby&Mrs gopher around 10.00pm in our countdown to 1,000 finds with the team responsible for infecting us with this obsession called Geocaching.
After dinner with friends we were heading out to attempt a FTF and were passed by a local cacher in the straight but we were faster to the draw and had the cache in hand before he got out of his car.
No luck with the FTF as we were both beaten by Murf
Took TB

#301 found at 2200 in a dash out for an attempted First to Find however already beaten and the second position was also taken by a team arriving with the CO so inside information was the bonus however it was still another for the year bring my total to a respectable 301 for three months of caching. What will 2012 bring is anyones guess but would like to reach a 1000 for the year and with 366 days it could just happen.
Thanks baby&Mrs gogher for another great spot to cache and next time I go I will have to be a little quicker off the mark as I was sitting around and was nearly going to use this one for the first for the year but could not resist the chance at the First to Find.

On our way back from Christmas in Melbourne, we decided on a break in Albury. While completing the requisite retail therapy with Mrs Murf, an email came through, advising of a new cache. I nearly dismissed it as another new Wagga cache, but decided to have a look just in case. It turned out that it was placed in a (relatively) convenient location for a detour on our Albury->Leeton home trip.
The temptation of an FTF for my last cache of the year was too much, so I advised Mrs Murf there would be a slight detour on the trip home. Most of the roads were pretty good, so it made for a nice scenic drive and a change for what can be a boring trip.
Upon arrival I decided not to bother firing up the Garmin, and just went with the iPhone, which turned out to be more than sufficient. A nifty B&MG hide revealed itself, and with a blank logbook to boot!
Thanks for the diversion!
