After a few days on Phillip Island, I’m heading towards Leongatha and gathering some caches along the way. Really enjoying this trail as i randomly stop to find another one TFTC The Three Geo Amigos
Perfect day for a ride to new haven and back and much easier with stops along the way!
We left home at the crack of dawn to avenge a couple of DNF’s and collect as many caches on the island until we ran out of steam.
We had always planned on doing this series by bike, however, as we were passing, decided to pull over and try our luck.
After a couple of tough finds, this was a welcome quick find.
Thanks to The Three Geo Amigos.

Third one of the day and it didn’t take too long for Gnome5580 to make the find although the container was covered in muck and ants and the log book was a soggy mess so we have replaced the logbook and given it a new zip lock back in the hopes it stays dry for the next finders! TFTC!
Found cache. It was in a bit of a sorry state. It was very soggy and the ants were incorporating it into a nest. Me and Beckgiz replaced the log book as it was lost at sea. RIP log book
Watch out for the prickly bushes! Thanks

Another bad location, overgrown and non-descript. I'll pass on this one after a quick look.
Took a bit of searching through the undergrowth, cache is definitely not visible from the road. We didn't have a pen, but left a little treasure instead.

Thanks for the Cache the 3geo Amigos. One of the Pathway I had yet to find. Bike ride today in sunshine and wind. Relatively quick find -all dry - with gloves. Will move on to the Rhyll turnoff for another cache I have yet to find and back down Rhyll road for a round trip.
Found it after attending CITO ‘Planting for the environment’, thank you The Three Geo Amigos for placing the cache.
Number 10 for the day and 24 overall on our trip to the island.
THis was easy as i spotted in on approach so when i left i gave it a little more camo.
Thanks

Find # 10 for the day and 24 for the weekend, was spotted by Cathylm very easily as she came up to it from a different angle. As was happening quite often, she would find the cache, hand it to me for signing and she would replace the cache.
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
If there are blackberries I will find them! Easy to spot cache, little more awkward to get to. Thanks for the cache!
Over lunch we said hey, you know where we haven’t been for a while? Next thing we’re in the car and heading to the island..! Stopped off to add our name to this one, a nice easy find here. SL TFTC
After our arrival in Melbourne we drove directly down to Philipp Island, our first stop in Victoria. Here we looked and found some boxes before we were heading to the Penguin Parade. Thanks to the co‘s for placing and maintaining the caches. Found and logged together with GPS-Wickie, Mikaching and Swerik.
Today we started our journey with a flight from Sydney to Melbourne. Watching the news it was perfect timing, because Sydney was hit by heavy rain, thunder and lightning the same night.
For our accommodation here on the island we had chosen the Ramada Restort. It was a good spot for starting our different adventures. Already on our way to the resort we started to stop for a couple of caches. Later we took a nice walk and continued to find caches in the area. We finished our day to attend the attraction of the island, the penguine parade.

During my vacation in Australia I still had the Koala Conservation Center and the penguins as highlights on my list. Besides, I dedicated myself to the existing caches. In particular, the Treasure Island Trail stood out. Some boxes were easy to find, others took longer.
Thank you for the Caches form Bonn, Germany

My wife is sleeping in this morning so I'm trying to complete as much of this pathway series as possible on our weekend away. I am being lazy and driving between caches because I don't have a bike and I don't have enough time to walk it! Thoroughly enjoyed the series, Thankyou so much for all the well maintained and creative caches.
Out for an enjoyable bike ride and I started with the Pathway series. I had more misses than finds today but I had a good time anyway. So thankful I found this one where it is supposed to be, or rather where I happen to look. TFTC
Today was time to get out the geocycle and travel along one of the many routes in the area so today we found 23 traditionals with 8 DNFs it was not a great day but it was a good day for a ride but those DNFs bring the day as a whole down but thats caching (Cache Blindness) or they just werent there only the cache owner knows which is the case. The other option is the lack of GPS accuracy using Iphone as GPS wasn't preloaded before going for the ride.
Thanks The Three Geo Amigos for placing this cache and another find maybe this series is comming to me and my cach sence is working in the correct plain of existance again.
Grand Cache count = 848 total consisting of 763 Traditionals, 24 Multi, 14 Mystery, 4 Earth, 2 Virtual, 6 Event, 2 Werigo and 2 Letterbox.

On a 6 day tour of Victoria with Barnzy12. Taking the red eye over from Perth we managed to visit some great places. The main reason for the travel was the Mega event in Alexandra and the opportunity to find 12 cache types in a day.
We originally travelled to Phillip bay, then up through the country side to Alexandra. Spent a few nights staying high in the snowfields and then moved over to Mt Disappointment. We then ended up back where we started returning the hire car at the airport to fly home.
Some quality caches were found all over the state, great to get a real range of cache sizes with some very large caches compared to what’s available in WA and the range of D/T options so close to each other was a bonus.
Thanks to all the Cache owners for you placements and creativity put into hiding and have awarded a few fav points based on this or the location it bought us too.

In Melbourne with Cravo10 to attend the Mega in Alexandra.
We took the red eye from Perth, leaving at 1am Thursday morning, and departed Melbourne early Tuesday morning, so it was a short five day trip.
We managed to snag a couple of nice stats for the trip. First mega event, 12 cache types in a day, 10 lab caches, 50th large cache find, and most importantly my 10,000th find at Mount Disappointment.
We spent the first day on a caching run from
Melbourne to Phillip Island where we had booked into the local caravan park for the evening. We cached all day chasing down a number of the whereigo and puzzle caches from the CF series, before ending the day caching the extremities of Phillip Island, where we had both never been, an amazing part of this country.
Next morning we cached our way to Alexandra which was the main reason for our trip to Melbourne as we had both never managed to attend a mega, which were hoping to rectify in WA next year! Attended the pre event and managed to get a couple of group FTFs by torchlight which was a real highlight.
Saturday we cached in and around Alexandra all day, chasing numbers, the highlight of the day would have to be the birdbox hides around Alexandra and the multi in Bonnie Doon from that famous TV show, a real nice touch!
Sunday was an epic caching day, chasing down 12 types in a day, which required a couple of huge drives to claim some of the rarer icons around. A huge caching stat which is a very rare feat in the Southern Hemisphere. We finished the day travelling to Mount disappointment where we found Melbourne's 1st cache and then started making a dent in the powertrail, finishing by torchlight.
Our last full days caching was spent at Mount Disappointment to chase some big numbers and with a few caches around the burbs for good measure.
Special thanks to all the wonderful COs around Melbourne for their brilliant caches, and to the mega committee for organising a ripper event, hope to be back next year!
