In New Zealand we are now driving over the mountains to our next destination. Here we enjoy the landscape. On the way we stop for a good view or for a cache. Many thanks to all owners and greetings from the Moorhelmi from Germany
We are slowly winding our way towards Alexandra and enjoying stopping to pick up caches along the way.Found it at the third option Thanks for putting this here
The next leg of rattll and my South Island road trip, whatever number this one is. Today, we're starting in Middlemarch, heading up to Ranfurly, then coming back down the Manuherikia River to Alexandra. After our morning cycle, time to hit the road. We've discovered that one of our indicator lights on the van has stopped working, nowhere to get it fixed before Alex, so no time to dawdle (except for some caches, of course).A short hunt at GZ, but soon found as per the hint. All good. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
With Easter weekend upon us we decided to take a quick trip to Otago so we could ride the rail trail bike track. This has been on our bucket list for years so we decided last week that we would pack up the campervan and come and do it.Todays plan was to carry along the rail trail to Middlemarch find the caches along the way (and a few others that were nearby). With that goal achieved we were heading back to Clyde in preparation for the next part of our Easter adventure. This was a nice quick find while passingThanks for placing this cache and thanks for the smiley.
After a trip to Ranfurly, decided to head a little further and grab this cache. A nice quick park and grab. Tftc
Cache found quickly. There was a sign here that determined where I was going for tea tonight. A great Steak Sandwich at the busy Waipiata pub.
Found on a road trip with the kids. Stunning day. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. Team Broadbent (signed TB on micros). Find # 2446
Time to drive back to Dunedin; stopped there on the way - thanks for this cache, erninz.
A quick trip to Dunedin and a side-sortie to the Maniototo while there. Lovely day, spectacular drive !

Took the caravan through to Ranfurly and set it up then headed out to grab a few caches for the day. Picked up where we left off the other day and carried on along the roads towards Ranfurly.
Last one for the day and another easy find. tftc

Found with Hevic on a long weekend trip through Central and Northern Otago. We had started to run into some difficulties at this point as these caches hadn't been pre-loaded onto my GPSr and mobile data reception was getting very spotty. Hevic's phone was enough and we grabbed the cache - nifty spot for it. Cheers!
Spent the day as part of support crew for Frame Family’s husband and friends. In between rest spots we were able to geocache. Hoping for a number of finds.
Parked the car on the main road and headed for GZ. Thankfully not too many cars passed as I think we would’ve looked a little odd walking through the long grass here. The wind again was bitter. So thankful to be back in the car after signing the log. Tftc

Boneybruce and I are stranded south of the Rangitata with both bridges closed, so making the best of a bad situation and checking out some back country I've never been through before, but had my eye on for some time. Nice quick find here, on my way back out to the coast, heading back to Oamaru. TFTC!!!

Not going to Naseby today maybe another day.

We arrived in Dunedin today and traveled to Oamaru for the 2017 Geofest through Ranfurly, Nasbey and Danseys Pass. We attempted many caches throughout the long hot day and as it was the Geofest we bumped into fellow geocachers as well as a few muggles along the way. We were travelling with Keylev, UncleSam, Stik-a-Crane so to save log paper signed as Team SEAC 17.
Thanks to all the COs for the caches along the route.

More details on find later - editing now family funeral over.
Needed to fill the car with fuel and there is no station at Naesby so Ruru_NZ and I decided to knock off the couple of caches in Ranfurly, fuel the car and also fuel ourselves with a pub dinner. On the way back to Naesby for the night and decided to take this way home as they say.

Day 2 of my Oamaru GeoFest week. Alexandra to Naseby today. Only about an hour ... Without stopping!
It took up all day, and 20 plus caches. For this while heading back to Naseby after getting petrol, food and the 2 caches in Ranfurly. Found a few that Megan and Co have logged online but not in the book. This was one.
Thanks for the smilie.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)… Our journey to the bottom of the South Island has been almost two years in the planning. We were determined to make it to Oamaru Geofest. We decided to also factor in completing a couple of missions (JASMER and Virtual challenges), and the wheels started turning...
Day Two: Dunedin-Middlemarch-Arrowtown
These roads really so stretch on... We managed to find a cache with a bit of distance separation on it. TFTC.

Must admit I slept in this morning. Plan was to collect some caches around Dunedin and head further North. Time and sleep will only tell where we stop.
No problems to find. SLTFTC
