Armed with a stick (just in case my picture was wrong) and a clear picture in mind, I searched for about 10 minutes. But I didn't see anything that would match my expectation.
DNF this evening.
I know this one is camo'd but I scoured the area.
Found one or two places I thought likely, I'm wondering if this one might have gone walkabout..

Showing my friends Sophie (7) and Elsie (6) the joys of Geocaching. Elsie found the cache this time - beginners luck.

Found quickly with ShayKim very clever camo. Had to stop geodog who took off with the cache.
Nice park for a walk in the afternoon. Log was a tight squeeze in the container though. TFTC.
This was the seventh find for the day for nemo and I on our ride around north-west canberra. TFTC
A nice little cache, my friend found it but he had never seen one like that before so he did not know it was what we were looking for.
An easy enough find, but it was quite muddy from the rain, which wasn't so fun.

Nobody on the fields today so nice and quiet which is always my preference. Took a seat and signed enjoying the day. TFTC
Oh and 400!! Man that was a loooong time coming. I blame the puddle co twinnies.

I have found two of these containers today. My first time night caching and it was scary.
Very good cache hide but I didn't find the red herring. I wish I did.

With no one on the well kept oval, I headed over past the dirt store to this one. I am happy to say this was not too hard to spot when you know what might and might not be. Thanks.

Coords spot on and a quick find thanks to having seen this kind of container before. Nice park here, TFTC!
Found during my big Canberra caching raid with my brother NationalSteel

Second find for today and after a brief encounter with vombatus2 at the previous cache it would seem the Geobike was abit quicker for inter cache travel as he arrived in time to see me holding the cache this time.

Didn't realise this was here. Usually only drive as far as the school. Quick find. You may want to consider an 'inner' container for waterproofing. Thanks.
This one was a quick find whilst we watched a junior AFL game nearby. TNLNSL TFTC

Out for a day of caching in an attempt to get to #1000 and this one was number 3 on the list. Walked over from "Teorbiyn Rocks!". Geopup loved the run through the oval and even tried to steal another dogs ball. After we gave the ball back it was on to the cache. I think this one would have been a little more difficult for me but it was the same type of container as the last cache.
3 down 11 to go to get to 1000!

Quick one. Nice hide. Was wondering when I'd come across one of these. TFTC didygong12
The kids made the find on this one while the adults were still walking up to it. But hey, it helps keep them interested, so it's all good

6th and final find on a short caching run. A very quick find by allrounder with no red herring in sight. Would give a lower difficulty (1.5) and terrain rating (1.5) on this one.

Found @ 4:49pm with hccatcher11415
Again the ratings were a bit high as we were expecting to make a harder higher search only to make the find within seconds of arriving at GZ. More like difficulty 2, terrain 1.5.
Thanks again didygong12 & Jezza10!

Nice easy find - found by kids almost immediately. Helps to have seasoned geo-kids with you...

Reperio at 2025.
Parked across the grass and walked over to GZ expecting to have to do something more given this is a terrain 2.5...so at first, even though the cache was spotted straight away...it left me wondering if I had to climb a tree...or stand on my head...or something other than a flat walk. No one around this late at night which made the find all that more simpler. These containers always work well.

474. A nice quick find after taking an early mark from work and doing some caches in the area. TFTC.
Been told I need to catch up on my logging of caches. Was found back in May with Code1 which also helped as I know his hides and had found one like this before. Not much happening around here in the dark.
JABs.

Not what I was expecting to find but it didn't trick us at all ( I have one just the same). Knew what it was as soon as the torch light fell upon it.
Quick sign of the log and we were on our way.

The red herring worked brilliantly. The container was way too convincing and also tricked the_proton. TFTC.
Having found Lucky Dog 2, we clearly had to get the original. On approach we saw the red herring, but had to check it anyway (you never know!). Having eliminated that, a quick search around the area had the cache in hand (even if I didn't realise it for a second until shinydragon told me it was the cache!) and the log signed.
Zoned in on the correct spot from across the field out walking the geo-mutt but was watching another fellow with two other dogs apparently intent on the same thing. Got to GZ only to find he had stopped dead in his tracks watching. Damn.... so I took a seat directly next to the red-herring and played with my phone whilst pretending to train the dog to sit and stay and lie down on comand. His dogs kept barking and he kept watching....so Elvis kept being told to sit and lie still which seemed to satisfy the nosey bloke. Sat and enjoyed the cool of the morning for a little longer then signed the log and was on our merry way.
I need a few quick and easy finds to get to a special number before the Mega Event.
Not much time.
I used our special nano signature [SamW] and ran on to the next one.

We landed the Capital Chemist balloon here this morning after taking off from the centre of Canberra.
As we flew in we noticed the abundance of caches and decided a caching day was in order.
25 finds in 3 hours and we think it's been an awesome day.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Found on a great day out with SecretSquirrel-BJC. We found a top bakery at the nearby shops - yummy pies for lunch!
An enjoyable outing to pick up some caches with Captain Tomato - thanks CT - and thanks for the cache and the excuse to be out and about
5271. [font=Century Gothic][green]Ah, now you've opened a can of worms. As Sol de lune will tell you - never give McPhan a chance to tell a cricket story This oval was the first home ground of Ginninderra Cricket Club when they entered 1st grade in around 1976/7. The oval to the right as you face the change rooms was the home ground for West Canberra Football Club at around the same time. When we first started using it for matches (U19s) the coach used to give us instructions to hoik any rock found on the playing surface off the ground. Ha - we were tough in them days. They wouldn't allow that now.
Anyway walked straight up to the cache and didn't find the red herring - pity that. I wonder should I claim a DNF on it????

Nice quick find with a distinct lack of muggles, and dogs. Left an adidas tag. Tftc
01/02/2012 17:19 Found: After finding Lucky Dog 2 not long ago, I wondered if there was a Lucky Dog 1! Found it with Geohound, loved the red herrings!
The third find today for Little Buds and I, this was also pretty easy but had to keep a watchful eye on the cricketers warning up nearby. They paid no attentio to us though and we soon signed the log and made our way to the next cache.
Thanks for the cache

Well, no footy on today but there was a cricket game. I saw one guy get into an argument with his teammates and storm off. Unfortunately he stormed off in my direction just as I was signing the log. I think he was too angry to notice, though.... Signed the log and beat a hasty retreat.
A nice walk over from the geo-mobile in the sunshine - how convenient are all those parking spots for caching?!? Nice! We very quickly found the cache (still think these containers are cool) and moved away to sign the log. Luckily there was no one around, except one guy teaching a kid to play cricket so they weren't watching us. Zita struggled to get the log bag back in the container, after a few goes Enzo did a much better job - yay! TNLNSL TFTC!!
Another day caching in the capital, resulting in some 53 finds. Signed log: TNGD. TFTC!
Sol de Lune and I went for a tour of the northside this morning, mopping up some unfounds. This was an easy find, thanks didygong12.
A nice easy find. Just after logging and replacing it CorvettePete arrived, had a bit of a chat, nice to catch up with a fellow cacher.
Met CanberraBushwalker on the way to the cache so we wandered over to it and had a good chat. Always good to meet a cacher in the wild. TFTC
4268 + 328 = 4596. Today I had some time for some new caches around Belconnen.
Another quick find in a familiar location having grown up in the area. This is a nice little hide - always enjoy these. Thanks didygong12 !!

We arrived at GZ today and the Geonephew made the find immediately. It was as we were signing the log that Ju spotted the red herring. TFTC
First of six finds after work....before, during and after the rain storm.
Took a minute to get the right spot, but all was good. Thanks for the fun.

Quick find by L & R tonight as the sun was going down. Our 95th day in a row, closing in on our century! No cricket today tho. TFTC
