Scenic drive, didnt realise there were so many bush camps out this way. Tickets please, looked like a popular spot, could do with a CITO. Thanks askjgraz for this adventure tftc
Ocw the Bebes as we stay in Whyalla and made the trip over here to pick up a few caches. Saw quite a few kangaroos on the beach / rocks today. Tftc
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa A lovely drive along the trail, beautiful scenery. Spotted some Roos cooling down in the water near GZ.Tftc
Camping nearby so found it while exploring with BluebeardOZ. GPS coordinates are about 7m out. Other logs and hint were helpful. All in good condition.

On our travels we stopped to grab this cache, as we were free camping so close we could miss this opportunity, a fun cache and quick find, thanks for placing it
Great spot and great cache, was worried it was going to be a nano, so pleased it wasn’t!
Took us a few minutes to find the cache. The previous comments helped. After talking to a local, we discovered that this was an old school bus. I wonder what stories it could tell. We were lucky enough to spend 3 nights here - such a beautiful location!
Found with my Shatzy while up visiting our new grandson. Decided to take a drive along the coast and surrounding area, which is quite stunning. I'm not surprised it's stuck where it is

Gps also took us to the wrong end but we quickly had it in hand. Great views, thanks for the cache!
Found it at the other end to where gps indicated. Very cacheworthy spot! Wonder what the history of this is? Thanks
Out in a chilly day with iluvtrekking tidying up some stray caches.Glad it wasn’t a nano. Thanks for the hide
Found while visiting Whyalla for a few days with Team Waldron and TeamAstro, with the aim of finding as many caches as possible in Whyalla and surrounds. Day 1 saw us travel up from Adelaide and tour the very scenic coastline around Port Bonython and Point Lowly. On Day 2 we headed out to the Fill In The Gaps" (FITG) series, then to Iron Knob and back via the First To Find Power Trail (FTF PT) series. On Day 3 we cached in and around the City of Whyalla, and on Day 4 headed out to Whyalla Conservation Park before heading for home. Thanks for the cache DeltaDucks!
Checking out more of Whyalla, the steel city, where every corner has a rusty mint tin...
and some of the nearby coast today as well.
As usual, a day packed with exercise and great views.
Spotted your cache along the way
This old beast could tell a story or two
Appreciate DeltaDucks for placing and maintaining this cache on our SA geo game map
---
Searching with Purrfect Di and Jack the Monkey, finding and signing cache logs alone or with family and friends using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck Plenty of that luck stuff actually!!!
*Logs are composed and published using GSAK of course.*
A couple of maintenance assist tasks on the trail caches too. Looked like there had been some extreme weather since we were here last... oh yep, the floods the day after we left!!!
---
Caching is a hazardous activity!
Keep a lookout for sand traps, snakes, surprise cliffs, boxing roos, wombats, bulldust, and floods,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for any old bugs from alpha to omega !!! . [xx(]
Try to keep Travel Bugs as the only bugs you share and pass on
Now everything's opening more - even more important to sanitise and safely distance!!!
Really good of all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting
Thanks heaps for reading all this addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere, apparently! You win a virtual smile for the effort and getting to the end of the log

The Non Wangaratta Event Tour 2021!
Covid has postponed the Mega in Victoria until January but leave had been granted for AnyMules to attend with me and Bushfire. So Anymules and I went on a tour to Eyre Peninsular and mid north South Australia instead whilst Bushfire joined us in spirit only as covid meant he couldn't come here either. Not needing anything for my yearly goals I hoped I didn't add too many to the DNFs [B)]
Day 3: Exploring around the outskirts of Whyalla.
Whilst I followed my GPS to the wrong end, Anymules used the hind to find the cache.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks askjgraz for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Away for a week on some R 'n' R from the shop and to recover from an exhausting 10th Birthday celebration for Geostuff. Out today from our campsite to find a few caches..This one was literally 200m from our campsite, We could even see our van from GZ. A quick find. TFTC

Day 311 ( Sunday 5th ) of our trip. Caching along the way. In Whyalla today. A total of 10 for the day and 6040 for the trip. TFTC
This weekend, jesswrigley and I headed to Point Lowly and Whyalla to scuba dive with the cuttlefish, who annually migrate there over the winter months to breed. The cuttlefish were plentiful, with the largest groups that I had seen from several prior visits there. Whyalla was a good little city, but unfortunately due to COVID-19, a number of steelworks and mine tours had been cancelled in the current times.
This morning, jesswrigley and I started our day with a cuttlefish dive at Stony Point, right before the rains were forecast to come through around lunchtime. The cuttlefish were plentiful, but the water was certainly cold at 13°C, with drysuits only providing partial comfort. A few geocaches were then found locally, followed by lunch and another afternoon dive. We then drove around the eastern side of the peninsula to Fitzgerald Bay, returning to the Point Lowly lighthouse cottages accommodation for the evening.
This was an interesting structure just left to rot/corrode away. We didn't realise that the cache was also hidden alongside this, as initially I thought they were pointing us away from the structure. After a few minutes of searching, I located the cache rather exposed. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. I've hidden the cache a little better in a location more likely to be found by Geocachers, just near the posted coordinates. Thanks askjgraz for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Having a great day caching and exploring the coast. This one made us laugh as Grandad often jokes with the grandkids about needing a ticket when we drive them to school. TFTC

I found it at Hurtle's coordinates. A bit of touch up work (and an engine) and it should be good to go again!

Took a few minutes to find. Eventually found about 10m from where gpsr wanted me to be.
Spending a few days in Whyalla and found a few cache, or 300!
Had managed to solve all the puzzles before coming over too.
Of the nearly 300 found on the trip over and back from Adelaide, 95% were found within 50km of Whyalla Central, with approx a dozen dnfs also. Amongst all the finds was my 17000th find.
Also managed a lot of 'unloved' finds too.
What is it with Whyalla and mint tins? lol

Hi there DeltaDucks.
We found your cache **"Tickets Please"** at 12:06:00 PM today. This cache makes our find count 14005.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the area. We usually start the day off by nominating a cache some distance away from our camp site and then take a route mainly determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS. Today we started at Port Bonython and after doing a circuitous route we ended up back where we started.
Today we found 30 & DNFing 1.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 9 metres from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

I was, very generously, offered a trip to Whyalla with Moneydork that was too good to refuse!
Today was a leisurely tour around the Whyalla area which resulted in my finding 48 smileys and with 3 DNFs
No fishing for me today but cache finding did occur
Took me a few minutes as my GPSr had me at the other end but soon enough, I had the cache in hand

On the hunt with Bear and Bell. Early start to the morning, so we had to cache for a couple of hours before we could go shopping!
Found it while out with I foundit 2. I love this whole area. Some of the best coastal scenery in the state
Found by Mary & David, in company with pprass (signed as m & p), at 1645. Our last day in the Whyalla area, and we cached around Point Lowly. This conveyance has seen better days, but a great rusty graveyard. Found quickly after consulting the hint. Our thanks to DeltaDucks.
Found at 4:47 PM GAFF5 in the company of maccamob. We signed the log book as "M & P".
Last cache for the day and what a day we had! Fantastic scenery, beautiful weather, lovely caches and great company.
We had a bit of a problem finding the cache as the GPSr indicates to search at the other end of the bus. David soon had that sorted out and at a distance of 10 metres had the cache in hand.
Thanks DeltaDucks.

Catching up on some very late logs.
We headed out to Port Bonython for a day of sightseeing and of course caching on our last full day in the Whyalla area.
We were taking in the fantastic views as we pulled into GZ. We were not expecting what we found and even though we did not have tickets we did not think it would be an issue today.
If only this could talk.
As with most hides on these it took us a few tries before we came up with the nice hide.
So now we have validated out ticket.
Many thanks to askjgraz for placing this cache.

What an amazing day we had today. Last day travelling with iluvtrekking and the weather was fantastic. The boys headed out on their own in the morning and grabbed about 10 caches before cooming back and collecting us girls.
Then it was off to Port Bonython and Point Lowly. What a fabulous area, Im sure we would never have headed out here if not for Geocaching so thankyou so much for sharing this area with us.
On our way out of the area now. Then onto tackle the August cache series before racing home to feed the cat on time!

Out and about with Felixll for the last time on this trip, tomorrow we start our long trip home.
But, as all good caches know, there is always time to gather in a few more smilies. So, we headed off to Port Bonython and we are so glad we did. It is such a beautiful spot, the views are breathtaking and we had a fantastic day.

I was out bike riding with Dad, we rode from Point Lowly to Fitzgerald Bay and back to Point Lowly via the coast road. This cache just happened to be at one of our rest stops. having been with dad when he found it made for a very easy find for me. TFTC. It really is a great spot, we have been fishing here lots of times. Dad took some photos but they would give away the hide if we posted them here.

How can anyone get tired of this view. It was a tiring job to find this but we did it. Tftc
I was here with a previous finder... Cold...warm...warmer.... really helps a lot, pity you cant add that to paperless caching. The afore mentioned previous finder rode in this bus in 1970 not long before it died out here.
Found with fishinsazz in the first place I looked. The hint really gave it away, but it would have been the first place I would have tried anyway.
Found with fishingmad. Dad had this one before I even got out the car. He told us where it was going to be before we even pulled up and he was right, just beating my brother to it. TFTC.
Hint added after Freddo made me aware it was lacking one. Down goes the Telstra share price
Hey I just saw the hint! Well done. Both Optus and Telstra now will be contacting the cache owner to remove the hint. The coords are accurate but hey they still leaves a 7m circle to cache in (think pi R squared). Hint appreciated on a structure like this one, esp when the views around a sooo nice!
Thanks to askjgraz and clear skies from TeamAstro.
