On a north island roadie we decided to visit Raglan for a couple of nights.I made the grab and walked down the steps to do the admin and watch the surfers.TFTC
This spot had a great view, had to exercise a little stealth as there was someone also taking in the view from their car, parked almost on top of the cache. Retrieved the cache without trouble and wandered off to the next cache. TFTC
Great day out at Raglan, we decided to check if any caches around, and had success! TFTC
Warming up after a fun sesh in the waves, so found this one tumbled down a bit, but put back as described. TFTC!
It was a hot walk up to this one from the lower car park in my bike gear. A lot of people round and difficult to be discrete in my search but found it pretty quickly. Thank you for the cache.
found with flossieteacake. there was lots of muggles around but it was easy to find. TFTC
My first look didn't spot the cache, and then I noticed a couple coming back up the steps so I hovered on the top step until they had finished taking pictures. Went back down for another look and spotted the cache, but it wasn't quite where the hint said. After signing the log I replaced the cache next to the hint item. Found with GeohoundandI.
Thanks butterfly_lady for bringing us to another scenic viewpoint on this surf coast.
Cache # 5,090 - Second cache of the morning in Raglan. Easy find with Astro Hunter and Violet Butterfly. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Forgot the pen in the car and quickly had to get the cache in between heavy rain showers. Loved the place!
Found but could not stealthily retrieve as there were muggles in a camper-van watching, will have to pop back to sign

The surf was really pumping here, with a number of surfers out in the waves. A nice quick find here and then we were on our way to the next cache. TFTC

Easy find. Cars in carpark but no muggles around (that I know of)so it didn’t look strange when I was on all 4s trying to retrieve cache lol
Headed to Raglan on our way home today & out to this Beach, lots if Surfers but not many waves....grabbed this cache before Lunch TFTC.
Raemoz found it while in NZ for the Australia and New Zealand Police and Essential Services Surfing Competition. What a great event that was!!
I was home and had itchy feet, I knew I had to get out of the house and go for a drive! But where? I needed earth caches for a challenge I'm working on in the USA, so decided on the one at Raglan. It was raining too and it looked like it was going to stay that way for the whole day - and it did!
The clouds were opening up their downpour as I arrived here, I still had my raincoat on, but for what use it was, I might as well have gone without, I was wet inside and out, must get a better coat.
I had no trouble with the hide here, I ducked down a little with the flax sheltering me (finally a good use for flax...lol). Then I quickly bolted back to the Gorby van and I gradually made my way back into town for a much needed hot burger.

Found with Crazy Kea, bit rainy but lots of fun watching the surfers. Had to be a bit stealthy with muggles sitting close by on the benches. TFTC Happy New Year
Was a quick find after everyone left. Definitely needed to use stealth here. Very busy area. TFTC
Family day out & just happened to look on the ap! Yaaay we found it. Next one here we come.
#11,414. I am making my way to Auckland but did a detour to Raglan to pick up the two geotour caches and a few others in the vicinity. After finding one of the geotour caches I stopped here at Manu Bay. Some big surf out there today and a lot of keen surfies waiting to catch the right wave. Watched for a while and when there were no muggles nearby looking my way, I dropped in for a quick search and find. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Thanks Butterfly_Lady for hiding your cache here.
Easy fing but e, reacting it with the surfing watchers above required another shoelace needing to tied. TFTC
No problems with the cache. Is where the hint said. Good view of the very flat sea. Not good for the surfers. TFTC
I didn't find the container but sadly I found this halfway down the stairs way so I'm guessing it would need to be replaced, it was a nice place to chill on a chilly day
4 June 2022 08:35 . Day two of the "unfinished business" road trip (picking up PWGT caches, solved puzzles, previous DNF and anything else that I fancied stopping for). A beautiful spot, with Surfers already on the waves. TFTC. Easy find thanks to the hint!
Found on gorgeous autumn day. Great to see a good number of surfers enjoying the break. Tftc
We stopped in here to have lunch after being up to the PWGT caches. What a fabulous spot to watch the surfers. Then I discovered there was a cache 25m from where we were parked. With such a specific hint we knew it would be a quick grab but it was a matter of doing that amongst all the muggles. We stood around for a while taking photos (as did a heap of other people) then we went down to the bottom of the stairs. After a few minutes I noticed GK make a dash up the stairs - it was muggle free in the area and he quickly grabbed the cache. I had sat on the step and he passed it to me to sign, then he returned it as he found it and we were on our way.
We are in the North Island to try to complete the PWGT Tahi section so we are having to head to the far north. Along the way we will pick up a few other caches that take our interest such as those with lots of favourites or size large or letterbox caches or some that will just help us to fulfil some of the various challenges we are working on.
With the new souvenir challenge we need to use the app to log the finds, but as I like to waffle on and write my stories on my laptop I am writing these while back at the campervan.
Thank you for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

A nice day for a trip to Raglan, so we came over to fix the cache today. A new bpx in the place described in the hint. Unfortunately we couldn't find the loose bag found by others, so it is likely the regular winds here have moved it on.
I did not INSIST it to be archived! I was just letting you know it had gone. The bag was empty and therefore no log to sign. It is a beautiful site for a cache and would enjoy a return visit
Contents of cache found scattered around area, unfortunately container was nowhere to be seen ??
Thanks for the two logs in the last day, one saying i it should be archived !
However, we love this spot, and will visit next weekend available to replace the container.
If the last two visitors have returned the log and bag to the original place, then there should be a log to sign. Otherwise any cacher is welcome meantime to add a box.
Thanks for the info. We decline to archive at this stage.

Second time I came down. Found it this time. Must have been blown down the hill. I put it back where the hint suggests. Sat in the wind for a bit. Thanks!
thanks for cashe. The directions are out a bit as it was hard to find. But found it in the end.
Down on holiday here with kids. Bit rainy and stormy today. Right left either or.. cache found after one of the kids widened the search. Signed and replaced. Tftc
Lots of surfers enjoying the swell today. A quick find here in the first place checked
Out for a days caching with merlot58 and nette1234.
My first time having such a thorough explore of many of the beaches along the Raglan coast ....a real eye opener!
Easy find thanks.

We had to be sneaky with this one because of the many muggles nearby. Most of them were admiring the views, but we still needed to apply caution. Mrs Taylana reserved the bench that looked out over the GZ so that no muggles could take that spot and to serve as a lookout. Mr Taylana found the cache, then descended the stairs to sign, before sneaking it back to its resting place on the way back up. TFTC
Had to wait for a couple of people to clear off- but I'm sure it would be much worse in the weekends! tftc
After finding the other cache nearby and watching the surfers for a while we headed up to look for this cache.
There was a muggle sitting on the nearby seat which overlooks GZ so we almost didn't attempt it but she was reading a book and not paying us any attention so we made a very careful and stealthy find.
Another nice hide. Thanks Butterfly_lady for bringing us here.

Managed to find this one between showers. A few people around but we used stealth. TFTC.
