Working on the Geo-Licence series and needed to find 50 caches in a day a minimum of 1km apart so a plan was put together to take a trip to collect them along with Agazo, Mrs HeMaLuDy and thebrownehornet. I left home at 8am and returned just after 10.30pm clocking a total of 476km on the car. The scenery was awesome and reminds me of all that is great in New Zealand.
Unfortunately no luck for us here today as it seems to have gone.

Keylev and Agazo hatched a plan to collect 50 geocaches 1 km apart for their GIO licence, and thebrownehornet was also going along for the ride. At the last minute Mr HeMaLuDy said he could manage the kids and school pick-up, sports etc so Mrs HeMaLuDy decided to tag along too - I'm not sure he was expecting us to be home quite so late as he tried to keep the kids up until I got home but finally put them to bed around 9 (we were home around 10 pm).
We drove pretty much around the Coromandel Peninsula to achieve the goal, and collect a few extras as well. A great day, amazing weather, incredible scenery and very few DNF's. Logs signed as Team SEAC or just SEAC (South East Auckland Crew) as we often cache together as a group, and it saves room on the logs.

Found this cache on the ground as we walked past. We will attempt to repair and return in the next couple of days.
Container will need replacing.

There were some muggles about while I was here but I managed to complete my mission without difficulty. This looks like the sort of place that I need to re-visit on a finer day.
Nice easy one to find. Good day to do this one as its drizzling so no muggles around. Great day out with Pinocchio59.
A fun afternoon out with imcuzz and these would be lots of fun in good weather!! However then we may have a muggle problem, so a good day for it really. TFTC
Fouind it. Needs maintenance logbook and container.

Forgot to log at the time. On a geocaching weekend with my favourite geo buddies, we hope to get loads of caches this weekend. We've decided to sign the log sheet as - day trippers CNSZ in order to save space on the log sheets. Thanks to the cachers who hid these caches for us to find and make our weekend such fun. Needs maintenance.
What a beautiful surprise to turn the corner and see this awesome beachfront picnic area and beachfront. Two Travelling Aussies. TFTC

Cycled here intending to take the scenic Bluff road rather than the boring main road but it is closed and might stay closed for a while. Cache was easy to find. TFTC
Our first Geocache. Awesome location, had us scratching our heads for a while.
We had an another spare day so it was time to head up the coast to find some more caches that were new for us and weather was good TFTC
Enjoying a day with my parents frewilys.love the beach here very quiet in matarangi this time of year so no one to watch out for
Easy find but we later realised someone had been watching us from a house the whole time. I hope they don't mess with it. Sorry folks...
Wow we love this spot. Nice quick find and amazingly on such a lovely sunny day no one at GZ!! TFTC
Driving from Coromandel to Whitianga.
A quick stop this sunny day.
No problems.
Good picnic site indeed! Stayed for a lunch sandwich before driving on the narrow road along the water. Had the whole beach to myself.
Sorry for the late log. This is one of many founds during my four week visit to NZ.
The date here may differ from the one in the log book, both could be a day off from actual log date.

My wife changed our sons nappy under the shade of a nearby Pahutakawa tree while I found this cache. Nice view.

New Zealand 2103 trip for the Auckland Mega at Albany. Day 5, Miranda to Whitianga. With the poor weather today there was no one down here, despite it clearing up. The cache was found in the expected location. Thanks.

Yeah 3 for the day all on foot off to the pirates treasure now. Beware the muggles!
Tides are not conducive for fishing, so came over from Coromandel for a few caches.
Thanks surf5
