So we were all set to fly to Dayboro for the Queensland Mega this weekend. There hadn't been a case in Qld for a quite a few weeks before we decided to book in early Feb. What are the chances of a case causing a lockdown and closing the border we thought..So when it all did happen just 4 days before we where due to leave, we were royally peed off. So we had to cancel and find somewhere else to spend Easter. Pt Broughton was a last minute choice. Today we pulled up stumps and headed to White Cliffs campground to join friends for Easter Sunday/Monday. After setting up camp we headed back into town with Chrispy89, travellinbees and Michelle. Looked around GZ and even phoned a friend (who had recentley replaced) to confirm we where looking in the right spot. Definately missing, so needs some Owner TLC or archiving/moving if its going to keep going missing. Bloody muggle kids!
Gridge98 asked if I wanted to go caching[?] and that word 'caching' deserved a yes[^]
There was an event at Clare at 4pm which was the goal for the day[^] anything else was just a bonus
38 cache smilies: 36 caches found , 1 cool event attended and 1 cache beta tested[^]
At GZ and looked and looked: no cache
Rang CO and with permission[^], painted up and replaced a new eclipse tin
Love old towns and their history

Sign now screwed to the tree , no place for the cache, had a good search, but no luck,
With some further research on Google Earth, I see that the sign was mounted on a piece of channel and I guess the cache was in there, no where to hide the cache now,

Bit tricky as sign no longer standing and cache had been poked way down. Used a stick to push it out. Be aware that if library sign disappears so will the cache. Thanks
TFTC A quick drive by on this glorious day. Log was signed, dated & returned to its hiding spot
As we wander the great land seeing the sights, this is one of the caches we have done.
Thanks to Tk2 for placing the cache for us to find.

A quick cache find in the CBD
You just have to watch out for all the muggles,
if like me you are here in the middle of the day [:o]
I think I saw one muggle,
but he disappeared into the pub.
You can never be too careful though !! [:o]
In a likely spot the cache was soon in paw

We arrived around 3pm with the plan of finding each cache in town, but then we went to the pub!! Lol! Tftc
We took a stroll and ended up at the pub!!! Oh dear' Ben, son of Connie, helped us retrieving the cache. Tftc
Found this one after a fantastic meal at the pub here. Love these old character pubs which haven't turned yuppie and charge 20 dollars for a lettuce leaf. A quick find as there weren't too many places it could be. TNLN. Cheers.
Touring around the area enjoying some sunny spells after the winds and rain. Another quiet little town with some history. TFTC Tk2
This was a challenge, as there were people loading a vehicle adjacent to GZ [8)].
Waited for awhile before a quick search and retreive [8]. TNLNSL.
Thanks for one more Tk2.

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia.
Staying in a 'Free Camp' we werent sure what the weather was going to hold for today. Turned out quite magical, with grey thunder clouds overhead but sunshine still shining through.
We visited the towns of Merriton, Redhill, Koolunga, Yacka and Gulnare also Threadgold's Crossing. A busy day and lots of fun exploring, but with sadly 4 DNF's.

Time to cache again after the hot spell of summer! Goingtheredoingthat, KarpyKarpyson and myself embarked on another short expedition to retrieve lost treasure on a lovely Saturday morning/afternoon. I think we collected 22 smiles all round. Liked the location on this one!
Found while on a Saturday morning caching trip with Limbage and Karpykarpson. Find number 9 of 22 for me.
Another cache in the book.

A quiet Saturday morning in town today - we didn't see a soul! Easily spotted cache signed log and on our way.
Following a 4WD Club event at Melrose and driving out via the Bridle Track, it was time to head inland and grab a few caches on the way home.
There was a kid on his scooter nearby and he saw me and said that I must be a geocacher and it was a quick find after that. TFTC.

After having a great nights bush camp at White cliffs and a few drinks around the fire we got off to a leisurely start still heading north towards Whyalla to attend the Munaryoo 4wd event tomorrow picking up some caches as we went. We pulled up here in what seemed to be a very sleepy little town apart from one elderly lady walking down the street there wasn't another soul to be seen anywhere. While waiting for the lady to pass by we were able to have a good look at the fantastic looking institute building nearby. Once she had turned the corner and gone we located the cache quickly but it was a few minutes longer before we were signing the log.
Thanks TK2 for the cache.

I nearly died.[xx(][xx(]
1000 birds alighted from the tree as I walked under it in the darkness.
One moment deathly silence.
The next 1000 screeches. Oh crap. What did I do.
I didn't score a bird poo so all was good. Think I'll buy a power ball.
Thanks to Tk2 and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Our 53rd of 56 Caches found for our Pt Augusta and surrounding area cache run.
Checked on the phone and still no one had logged it online so decided to take a detour to grab this one on the way home. Arrived and found it only to read that we had been beaten for the gold. Oh well happy with the Silver on this one.
