My GPS had me on the path, but I began to search nearby objects. Then I spotted a propped up stick. A clue? So I searched that object for a second time, digging deeper this time, and there was the cache hiding. Log is wet, but I managed to sign it. With talk of bats and what I was suspicious I had my hands in, I returned to the car to disinfect them. TFTC 2 shadows.
Nice quick easy one while the little one played in the park. Log is a bit wet. Found with josh301 - we didn’t sign the log because we didn’t have a pen. TFTC
What a very nice park, I needed 10 finds to get to 400, was determined to achieve before midnight, police pulled me up to check on me, but I was clear, so this is my number 10. Happy new year. Tftc.
It’s taken six months, but I’ve made it back to Allora… I’ve given myself more time today… after spending some time in the memorial park, this was a nice quick find… tftc…
Very nice spot for the cache. Coongoola & Geodog found your cache today, 22 May 2021 3:53 pm , while enjoying another day out adding to our tally. TFTC 2 shadows
Log was very wet so we dried it out as best we could, added a new strip of paper and signed it. TFTC 2 shadows
Last one in Allora for the day before heading back to camp. Stopped to read the plaques in the memorial garden on the way out.
Log too wet to sign. Pic as proof we were here. COM084 and myself.
Maintenance required on this cache.

Today haul is 4 Adventure Labs with 20 waypoints, 13 traditional, 3 mystery, Multi, Earthcache and Letterbox. Lots of fun finding caches or learning stuff about the local area.
Thank you CO for bringing me to outback Queensland.
Sorry for the generic log

I started my trip south by leaving Toowoomba this morning. My goal was to pick up any new LGAs and Dragonzones (geocaching.com.au) that were along my route. The only trouble was that I wasn't sure where I was going but that is the fun of wandering. This was my first GC find for the day. A quick find at GZ after finding Mar Poppins around the corner. TFTC 2 shadows SL
Making a detour through the town to check out PL Travers (Mary Poppins) house. Can’t leave without collecting the caches. I recognised that I had stopped here before and had a community lunch next door.
Dayboro trip. Day 7. Another drive day, but with a difference. I traveled from Casino to Dayboro, via Warwick and Toowoomba. The stop in Toowoomba was aborted as the lockdown was terminated early and everyone else moved on, so I followed. Otherwise a fun day with three adventure lab sets done and some nice Queensland Freeways traveled. The new road down from Toowoomba is fantastic.
I spent an hour or so in Allora doing an adventure lab set and along the way I found a few other caches. No one was at the club, so I had the park to myself for a quick find.
Thanks.

TFTC. We had decided to spend another night in Warwick while decisions about lock downs and the Mega were still pending. We took a drive out to the historic town of Allora to attempt the caches there and to follow the Adventure Lab around town. A lovely day for a drive and great caching.
A quick find in the expected location.

After being held up by flood waters at Goondiwindi, LuckyL10n and I were soon on the road again. After a stop or two in Warwick, we made Allora on way to Toowoomba and hit the caches here. Didn't take long to spot this one, however the log is soaked and there was no way we could sign it. See LuckyL10n's log for a photo of the log....unfortunately we didn't have anything on us to replace it.
Thanks anyway for showing us a bit of the local area 2 shadows...neat little park.

#10614 - 14:00; Day three of a road trip with Sol de lune as we head north for the CacheQLD - Dayboro Mega. We had to spend an unscheduled night in Goondawindi due to road closures caused by flooding and after queueing with numerous others at the roadblock outside of town, we were finally able to head off towards Toowoomba around 9:15am this morning. Cached our way through Yelarbon, Inglewood and Warwick before stopping off in Allora for another Adventure Lab plus the other local caches including this one. Arrived at GZ for a quick find, but the log was sodden, so adding a pic as we couldn't actually sign it! TFTC 2 shadows
We were having fun looking around Allora, so quiet in town - everyone must be at the event we noticed on the outskirts. We had just found the History of Allora AL cache "Boer War Memorial" and ventured further into the park to have a look for this one.
Didn't see any bats but found the cache in the first spot we checked out. Lots of bark cover but a wet log.
One more waypoint to go to complete the AL, so off we went to the church.

Fangsoki, Radnoski and I were camping in Goomburra for New Years, and we decided to head to Allora for a spot of caching.
Pulling up here , Radnoski and jumped out and made our way to GZ. We hadn’t been here long before some dude came over to take photos of the tree and tell us it was some kind of golden ash. Apparently he’s down here from Toowoomba. We mentioned we had been told there were bats here and he advised us that we’d know if there were bats because the ends of the tree branches would’ve been stripped bare. Then he wished us well and headed off, and we were clear continue our search, where Radnoski came up successful rather quickly.
We managed to find a tiny spot to squish our names in but as previous people state, the log is quite full and has been rather damp.
Thanks for the cache 2 shadows.

Our trip to Allora was successful as we managed to locate this cache and sign the log book. TFTC
A few to find while working in the area during the week. A nice quick find on my way back to Warwick. Log signed and replaced as found. TFTC
Visiting Toowoomba and finding a few caches around the area. Day 2: a big loop south taking in Wyreema, Cambooya, Nobby, Clifton and Allora as well as other areas of interest along the way.
A quick find here before turning north again.

D and the big kids walked in with L spotting it straight away. Bit damp inside but log which is almost full was signed and cache replaced.
Grey Nomads, now totally sick of the covid hold up time, and then more time in Brisbane for knee surgery. So now with the blessing of surgeons and physios, we hit the road again, and can get back to placing yellow smilie faces around Australia (Queensland for now)
Doing a few Kays around SEQ before we have to go see the doctor again, so filling in a few gaps on our map.
Quick find. Piece of paper (log sheet) full and wet Needs a bit of CO attention. Thanks for the nice walk around town 2 shadows

I decided to get out of the city. I closed my eyes and Pointed to an unknown spot on the map. Allora was the closest town, so I decided to head there. I parked the geomobile and strolled to GZ. There, the sign about swooping magpies had me a bit worried, but there were none today. The cache was soon located and the log signed. TFTC
This one took longer than it should have!
Both of us looked where we eventually found cache without finding it.
We extended our search area but kept coming back to here. Ok, either it's not here or it's hidden really well. Thankfully it was the latter
It was buried quite deep and covered well with natural camo.
After signing log and replacing as found we decided it was time for a little sustenance so we headed off to a lovely park we had noticed earlier.
Sorry for late log, this was actually found last week before the global crisis meant no more caching for a while for us...even at that point we were practising social distancing

We came to do this yesterday but they were setting up for Community Christmas Carols and the sound desk was set up facing GZ. So we tried again this morning and even with GZ being in the middle of the big event it was still in place and visible this morning. TFTC
Out for a little road trip to find a few geocaches with Brother Colin.
Lots of quick drive bys in the most.
A nice day to be outside as well, though most of the countryside we drove through could do with some rain.
Thanks for the cache.

Found! No pen to sign new log as we weren't planning on geocaching today.. but tftc anyhow! Nice spot to stop.
On our way to Hervey Bay to see some whales. It is good to stop and break our journey. Thanks for placing this cache.
We are travelling north to Hervey Bay with plenty of time to stop for a few caches. Thanks for making our trip enjoyable.
