Found on our way past today having a look around the area while headed home from the Riverland. Targeted the rest of the TdF that we havent found on the way through, signed logs as GP or Geopenta. All in decent condition with a few running repairs. Cheers for the series.Find #7380 on 21 Nov 2024.TFTC equipe de cinq!
A whole day with no plans and kid free, so here I am playing the numbers game. I found 108 on this trail with 1 DNF, a few requiring maintenance which I have logged. A new personal best most finds in a day! Light traffic on this road, 3 cars and the same motorbike twice for the day. Thanks for the series.
Found it! Slight change of plan today, trying to finish the TdF series then grab a few others on the return home! 2 DNFs so far. Nice hide, had me stumped for a minute or so. TFTC!
Another 3 Stooges road trip with Cheezel and WayneAPN, tackling the TDF series and a few more close by. A great day out with lots of laughs, carbs consumed and general tomfoolery. Cache found and log stamped.
It's been a while since our last get together to spend a day caching with Weredunn4 and Cheezel1961. With all the stuff occurring in each of our daily lives and work etc, the stars seem to align today for an outing out together, targeting the TDF series. Plus a few in easy range, hey were are out this way, may as well do them. Plus the usual target of interesting, unique D/T grids as well as high T caches. Thanks for this one, an easy find.TFTC SL
Its been a while since weve teamed up, but the 3 Stooges (weredunn4, WayneAPN, Cheezel1961) are back at it again Today we are targeting the Tour de France (TdF) series plus any other interesting caches we might cross paths with.Cache quickly found and stampedTFTC
A sunny day for caching whilst exploring some of the lavender trail with my geobuddy.
THANKS FOR CONTINUING THE WIDE GAME
THANKS FOR CONTINUING THE WIDE GAME
Left early in the rain, with the intention to do TdF series on the stock route road. It drizzle all the way and most of the morning periodically, until the sunshine came in the afternoon. Caches were generally in good condition with a percentage having a broken lid, which I didn’t have any replacement ones. TFTC
Some here, but I persevered to find the cache without being stung. TFTC equipe de cinq.
10865 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1209 We had a runner/finder and a driver/logger on board to make these cache finds. Where needed maintenance was done on individual hides. SL Tnx equipe de cinq

Another reasonably quick find today, the log book was signed and dated then returned back to its hiding spot.

Came back to have another go at this cache after reading previous logs stating climbing is involved! Yay, turned that blue frown upside down! TFTC terrain should definitely be more than 1.5!
A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA.
With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.
The group grew from two to six quickly after having a chat to GoodLook about our plans.
Our team “The Mob” now consisted of GoodLook, LíB, Rapidlywild, The Drovers and ourselves and feathertop joined us on day 4. This team ended up being very productive and some new friendships were made. Always a bonus in my book.
All logs were stamped with “The Mob” to save space and time.
Day 6 After finishing the On Your Bike and Around the World in 81, Ode to JLWE and Riddlers Roonka Rampage and TdU we decided to see if we could tick TdF as well.
All caches were found on the trail in fairly good condition.
Thanks for the hide and trail equipe de cinq and thanks for the fun "The Mob"

For the first time in a long time, it was road trip time. With COVID-19 keeping everyone at home for so long, the borders were finally opening and the feet were itchy for a decent caching trip. Plans were made with FurfacesLL to do a 10 day road trip across to Mildura and Loxton to do a heap of caching and we were excited. Across the 10 days we racked up over 4,300km in driving, multiple hotels/motels, brought home enough red dust to create our own sand pit in the back yard and collected over 1800 finds between us. It was a massive trip and lots of fun was had.
We teamed up with GoodLook, FeatherTop, The Drovers and LiB and signed most logs as "The Mob". There were a few caches which were signed as individual team names as some teams had already completed said caches, those will be noted individually.
Our target caches were the Turtle Series, the Paddle Steamer Series and the On Ya Bike wherigo Series, heaps of other caches were also collected along the way but our primary target caches were completed which made us all very happy and very tired geocachers.
Onto day 6 and back out onto the On Your Bike series we go to finish it off. Once we had finished that, we made our way to some Around the World multis, Riddlers Roonka/Ode to JLWE Series, the TdU series and even managed to do the TdF series! It was a big day. We picked up a few caches along the way, travelling along the way was GoodLook, The Drovers, LiB, FurfacesLL, FeatherTop and myself.
With the TdU completed much quicker than we expected, we discussed as a team that multiple groups had not done the TdF and we were soooo close to it. It was agreed that we would give it a crack and see how we went, if we finished it, brilliant, if we didnt, it didnt matter. We were on a roll today and we managed to get them all done !!! [^]
Thanks for the hides equipe de cinq And thanks to "The Mob" for a trip to remember [^].

Most of the caches are stamped as The Mob (consisting of The Drovers, LíB, FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild, feathertop and myself), however a handful contain our own caching names or initials.
The series that we tackled during this trip included The Paddle Steamer, The Turtle, On Your Bike, The TdU, The TdF and some Roonka puzzles put out for a June Long Weekend some time ago. Plus many random caches that we passed.
2020 was not a great year, and the beginnings of 2021 have also been tricky - so when it looked like the various borders would be open again (without quarantine restrictions), a trip was spontaneously planned and I was able to pull together a number of my caching friends who hadn't cached together before to form "The Mob".
LíB and I started in SA, drove to Victoria and ended our trip in SA; FurfacesLL and Rapidlywild came from Canberra and The Drovers began their journey from NSW; and then a few days later, feathertop from Victoria, joined us to complete the On Your Bike Series and other caches in SA.
We filled our days with piling in cars, hard core caching, Adventure Labs, crazy funny CB radio chatter, some laughter, some tense moments (OMG some of the ladder and tree climbs on this trip were crazy!), lots of lovely meals and even live music from a band called "Kung Fu Jesus" - nope, that is no joke.
We had hot weather each day (well into 30s), so I am thrilled that I now own a car fridge to keep the drinks icy cold (loving them at about 1 degree celcius).
A sincere thanks to equipe de cinq for placing this cache.

Moving from Adelaide to Brisbane, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I decided to drive the long distance to make the opportunity a holiday, taking 12 days and passing through Victoria, New South Wales, and then finally arriving in Queensland. We spent the first few days in SA's Riverland, visiting Morgan, Berri and Renmark; and then drove through Mildura in Victoria. In NSW, we stopped at Hay, Parkes, Merriwa, Tamworth, Port Macquarie, and Coffs Harbour, and then entered Qld to stop for a night in Robina in the Gold Coast.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I departed Morgan after a hot breakfast, and we proceeded south finding a few targeted *Tour de France* series geocaches, before then crossing the Murray River at Blanchetown. We then proceeded up the eastern Murray River bank passing through Murbko, before crossing once again and driving along the northern bank. We then stopped for a late lunch at Waikerie after making another river crossing (by ferry this time), and then made our way east along the Sturt Highway to Barmera. It was a chance to see a few sights in Barmera and complete the *A Bonney Stroll* Adventure Lab. Finally, we made a dash through Monash topping to see the adventure playground, and then arrived in Berri for the night.
Another geocache found in this series, and this cache didn't take too long to find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks equipe de cinq for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Last full day of caching before we head home tomorrow.
fitzy_1965, the geo-kids & I decided to head over to Blanchetown to do the Riddler series, JLWE series and whatever else we could find in the area. Today was the hottest by far and, with no working air-con in the car, it made for a hard day of caching. I did manage to get to 10,000 finds so that was a nice highlight.
All caches were found quickly and in good condition unless otherwise stated. my_name_jeff_1 did the honours on this one.

23,303. Found with minniek during our Post-Christmas escape to South Australia.
This trip to South Australia was on again off again due to the changing circumstances in the various states we had to travel through. Finally getting a green light from all 3 states we headed off early boxing day. Day 14 of our adventures took us around the Riddlers Roonka Rampage Challenge series, the Ode to June Long Weekend series, the Tour de France series, plus cherry picking some other caches along the way. All caches were found quickly and in good order unless otherwise stated. Next find of the day. A nice quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, and then headed off to the next one.
Thanks equipe de cinq !!

Out and about geocaching. Found with superman_22, connor_8 and Jess. Never been out here before. Love where geocaching take you.
The cache hunt today with ilook4geo had a few different aspects. We selected a few along the road to get us going in the right direction, then we followed a couple of trails that were of particular interest. Finally we started the first few of another series which we will need to finish later on. All logs had two lots of initials recorded on them, each cache was put back as it had been found and we continued with the hunt. This was one of the caches we found. Thanks go to equipe de cinq for placing this cache.
Out for a caching adventure with goingplaces2. The day included puzzle caches as well as traditionals. Each was an easy find, all logs were signed and replaced. It was a productive day, gaining lots of smileys. Found this one. TFTC.
Out for a cache with gridge98. My first power trail on my 3rd day living in the area. Thanks for the interesting history and caches
Today I planned with Nettieknows to complete the Tour de France series, we signed all the log books as NG9886 (nettie knows, gridge98, 8/6/19). Majority of the cache are all in good Nic, a few are broken here and there though. Great to think about the winners of the tour, can’t wait till the giro comes out

Arrived in Morgan Just before lunch and after setting up the Caravan, had lunch and then thought we would go out for some caching. Did a couple in town and then went to have a look at this end of the TDF. Not bad effort in the 39deg heat.

Planned a big day out with JJ52 to collect the TDF series. We’d been worrying about hot weather but then cold wet weather came so delighted that Saturday arrived and was perfect caching weather.
A delayed departure due to forgetting the battery pack meant we didn’t start caching until well after 10am.
All caches found in the series (thus far) which was a bonus.
Lots of water on the road in some places, Ute is now filthy!!
Saw lots of wildlife, lizards kangaroos wallaby emu sheep goats but thankfully no slithering snakes .
Arrived back home after 7pm having found 126 caches, it is still beyond my comprehension how or why 860 odd caches can be done in a day.
TFTC and series. A few require new containers as several have perished. Good to find some larger containers on a PT.

A plan was hatched with Michells&hound to come and get the Tour de France series and today was the day. [^]
We were very lucky with the weather which turned out to be perfect for a power trail, warm but not hot, especially after the very unpredictable hot and wet weather we had in the previous week, which was evidenced by quite a lot of water lying around as we drove along.
All caches were found, some with brittle containers, broken lids and wet logs, but we were able to stamp each log and replaced containers to try and prevent more water damage.
We ventured off the trail a few times to get some other caches which gave us a different focus for a while. [^]
We saw lots of wildlife, kangaroos, wallabies, an emu, sheep on the roadside and dodged a number of lizards crossing the roads. Later in the day we spotted lots of rabbits who didn't like us coming to disturb them.
Thanks for the cache and series equipe de cinq.

As last night was the firzt night of the tour de France. I thought it was only right to do this power trail. Started early and after about 4.5 hrs i crossed the line. But no yellow jersey for me.
Thanks for the caches, alot of work has gome into making and maintaining these. Great trail

What an amazing sight after leaving the lush green areas around Morgan and drive down this road to the stark desert with no grass in any direction, just the scrub that dominates the area. We spoke with a farmer further down the track who told us they were shooting their sheep as the cost was too great to grain feed them. We stopped at a deserted house on the road and the pit at the front with the carcasses showed hard times along the road.
The cache series along here is quite good, with caches on each side of the road, often a bit further than expected. There were lots of Kangaroos and one Emu spotted before we go to the multi road intersection where we needed to look at the map to see the caches on these roads.
Thanks equipe de cinq for this great series of caches here, they were great.

Today we are only grabbing enough caches on this trail so that we are able to log the JLWE event as our 13000. Every time we get to a significient number we forget to count down and sail on by. Not this time.

Found on my first day in Blanchetown. Being a fine but cool morning I set about picking up some local caches. I decided to attempt some of the TdF power trail caches I think I found 24 of the series all up Starting at the Murraylands Rd end and finishing at a 6 way intersection. All caches were in good shape. and easy to find with a few taking a bit of look. to be able to convert it to a smiley. All up I had a pleasant morning tackling this end of the PT. TFTC.
Staying at Kapunda for the weekend. Thought we would drive some country roads even though the weather is HOT. TFTC.
We're camping nearby and I saw this run of geocaches! I just had to see how many I could get. I dug out my trusty bike & after blowing up the tyres, I set off. How many can I find? Thanks.
Our day 6 started nice and early after some late night planning trying to identify the power trails which would support our cache finding mission [^]. We headed north(ish) of the City and were ripping around the countryside collecting smiley faces .
I had been eyeing off an interstate trip for some time now and made plans to head to SA to power through the geoart trails over here . I roped in my geo buddy Krabiboy to join me and we set about solving [?] caches and highlighting Jasmer caches that aren't available over in WA. Our adventure took us from the CBD over to the Yorke Peninsula and then back across to the Murray Bridge area . We were relentless in chasing down the finds and picked up as many as we could in the week that we had available. Due to the park and grab nature of our visit, the log books which weren't able to accommodate the ink stamp we had made were signed with the initials 'jk'! Fave points will be awarded for those caches which are considered awesome
A massive thanks here to equipe de cinq for placing this cache here and for tempting us to venture over to this area. Cheers!
jinta29 found your cache TdF - 2009 - Alberto Contador today. This is my find #7839 and find #99 today. I was able to get my name in the log book here and we replaced the cache as we found it. Thanks once again equipe de cinq for placing this and bringing us to this part of the world!

Third stop is Woomera.
Forth stop ? Heading for a FTF and staying in a cabin to get out of the bad weather.
Fifth stop ? just heading to wherever.

After a good nights sleep, lukie1987 and I decided on a bit of a numbers run as we gradually headed towards Adelaide after our road trip from Melbourne to Alice Springs and back was coming to an end. I had started on this TdF series a couple of years back with sharkiefan but we ran out of time so here I am today with the aim of finishing up.
Apologies for the generic logs here....
Many thanks to equipe de cinq for the cache. TNLN.

We realised there's over hundred caches on that road. so we did less than half and will come back tomorrow. Park and grab all the way. few DNF but will come back tmw anyway we enjoyed the fun. TFTH
Started caching on the line of TdF series from the corner of Murraylands Rd and Stock Rite Rd. Found it with sevabo and Dolphia. TFTH. I copy and paste for this series.
We arrived in town this morning from Moorook in the hope of grabbing lots more caches here before heading to Alice Springs for the Event over Easter.
By the time we set up camp it was time for lunch so we set ourselves the target of the TdeF trail as far as the 5 way intersection. This was done with attempts of 23 resulting in 2 DNFS but 21 finds.
Heading back into town we drove up to the lookout for another success before arriving back at the caravan for a cuppa and hopefully gather some more energy to attempt 2 more this afternoon.
To all COs, many thanks for placing these caches - an incredible effort - well done.
My apologies for my generic logs.

Heading back into town we drove up to the lookout for another success before arriving back at the caravan for a cuppa and hopefully gather some more energy to attempt 2 more this afternoon.
To all COs, many thanks for placing these caches - an incredible effort - well done.
My apologies for my generic logs.

Staying a few days in Morgan and decided to tackle the TdF series today with CAD... Thanks equipe de cing for placing these caches for us to find # 5199
Family drive today to get this series.
We had a wonderful time, with a picnic lunch on the side of the road, finishing with a picnic dinner by the river.
We saw a fox, kangaroos, kookaburras, a wombat, sheep, lizards, rabbits and a bull which was right near a cache eeekkkk.
Ran into a wee issue with a tree that had fallen across the road blocking it completely, so please be cautious anyone driving this road, especially at night.
Something fantastic about watching a 10 year old, a 16 year old and a 40 year old jump from the car and race for the cache, putting child lock on, pushing, shoving and being total idiots, but only 2 sore ankles by the younger ones.
It was a great day out Thankyou

Staying at Pelican Point we decided to tackle this series. We enjoyed travelling the Old Stock Route and caching freely with no one in sight. We managed to find all caches and accurate co-ordinates led to quick finds. We spent nearly 5 hours on the hunt. many thanks equipe de cinq for creating this series, we appreciate the time and effort that has gone into placing and maintaining this series.
A Sewer Rat and 2 Blackadders went on an adventure on this sunny day.
Back today to finish this series off.
A quick find on a sunny day
We found 68 caches and had 1 dnf plus one that the Rat found previously. tftc

Today was the day to finish off this series. These will be generic logs on all our finds today. A number of wildlife species were spotted along the trail but fortunately most of them were harmless with only one of the nasty ones spotted. He or she was harmless as it was dead in the middle of the road. A few pictures of the Stumpy lizards were taken. Most were an easy enough find although others took a little more time. Thanks for the series.
An early start had us driving through light fog and light traffic, towards Eudunda to attempt the Stock Route in one day.

Decided to park up for the day at Cadell on the riverbank as it was too windy for towing the caravan so we went caching instead. The Tour de France trail was beconning so we decided to give it a shot. Normally we aren't huge fans of powertrails as most of the previous ones we have attempted have been down highways but this one was different. We really enjoyed the stock route and its scenery and despite the strong wind had a great morning making many easy finds and learning all about the Tours previous winners.
thanks
thanks
Out for a drive we have been wanting to do these for awhile, lovely day, left a path tage TFTC

Le Tour de France avec les Suscoes.
Our aim was to complete the tour today. It was nice to be on much quieter roads than those in Europe. Of course the scenery here would not attract quite the same viewing audience, that suited us perfectly and we managed to complete the course, in reverse, in 4hrs 45 mns, being 3hrs 25 mns on the move and 1hr 20mins stationary.
Thanks to equipe de cinq for the hunt.

Suscoe headed out for a day on this Tdf trail in the company of Phetlern.
It was a warm day, just perfect for caching.
We enjoyed our time searching in a variety of bush locations.
We even found some other caches on the way back to Morgan.
With 4 pairs of eyes we found most of the caches quickly and then kept moving along the trail.
Thanks to equipe de cinq for creating this cache and this trail.

Oh no, we forgot our lycra! Oh well we do have our shorts. Hmn, not the best outfits for the seeds, burrs, spikes and prickles we met on the way. AND we spent from 8:30 am until about 4 pm catching lunch and snacks etc. on the run. We did note that the circuit has been recently graded and the peloton should find the surface almost as good as the cobbled sections often encountered in the TDF. It was also noted that a motorcycle track has been installed beside the main track, probably for the press and television cyclists although we had very few spectators etc. on the circuit today.
We have not really tackled any “power” series however decided to complete this one in memory of our brother-in-law, Trevor, who was an avid fan of the TDF. He would sit up every night and watch everything – how he managed to complete his work the next day is amazing. Avid is not the complete description, as he was also a keen cyclist himself. He owned a very expensive Cervelo cycle, signed by none other than Stuart O’Grady. The bike was polished and serviced after every outing and lived on a stand in his bedroom! Sadly he passed away in an accident early in 2014 doing what he loved best.
There were many cache guardians – an assortment of lizards, several huntsman, black “house” spiders, a spider with a black body and red legs, a redback and the nastiest of all was a shingleback that bit the end of any stick that came its way. We were very careful where we put our fingers!
We left an assortment of trademark “ladybugs” to record out trail. Hope they remain safe.
“And the winning team is K.I. bug”. (Probably for the longest time taken to complete all stages!).
This series must have taken a lot of time to set up so a big thankyou goes to equipe de cinq for the effort and thanks also for the enjoyment and exercise we gained.
