Taurus Six and I are having an extra long weekend by tacking Friday on to make it a four day break. The weather is looking beautiful it is almost verging on summer rather than spring. Our general plan is to spend time in the York area , however to get there on day 1 we are taking a meandering route to clear some patches of geocaches along the way. The main route today is via the Old Bunbury Road to Pinjarra then up the South West Highway to Armadale , then along the Brookton Highway to Flint , then taking the back roads before joining the great Southern Highway to York. The flowers are out and looking beautiful the birds are out and in full song and all in all a great day for geocaching .This is our sixteenth cache find of the day on our way to York . Enjoying the peaceful , muggle free surrounds . There has been some recent back burns so does smell a bit firey other than that great bit of bush for geocaching in. Thanks for the cache Chwiliwr .
Just catching up with my online logging! Found this one with Teamlaroche. TFTC
Spend the night camping out in the wandoo to find some more caches on new years day, easy find, TFTC
A day in the bush solo adventure - great time to grab the last of the Wandoo series. Thanks to the COs for putting this series together along a great trail in this beautiful bushland
On the way out to Kulin for IGD event and weekend. Popped past and found your cache. Thanks for the hide.
Catching up with burns345 we ticked off some caches in the area… thanks for this series!!! Found and logged!
Out with the Better Half for a maintenance run of my Wandoo caches and also doing some maintenance of the Wandoo caches placed by Keego and Chil.
All my caches were checked and the logs replaced. Where needed the cache container was replaced as well.

The lid was broken on this. I replaced the sistema. After coming off Brookton Highway, I thought it would be quiet. Nope. I had four 4wd’s pass while I was ‘looking at wild flowers’
A nice arvo to collect some more smiley faces along the Wandoo series.

An easy find but the plastic box is very fragile from the elements and is broken, needs to be replaced - I have put the cache inside a ziplock bag to preserve it for others to find as this was all I had at the time TFTC
Out doing this great geo art, as well as other caches close by, with caching friends. Thanks to the COs for your planning, placement etc of these caches along some very interesting bush trails.
The sun’s up, the birds are singing, the bush is wonderful in the morning sunlight..
Seeing the sights of the great Aussie Bush through the eyes of geocachers.
It was wonderful to see a father emu and his flock of little ones, he had Ten little ones.
And a couple of families of kangaroos bounding across the tracks.
A Little grey wallaby here and there through the bush.
Plenty of wonderful wildflowers out today, some stunning spider orchids, on a coolish Early Spring day.
Thanks for an interesting drive through the bush, some side tracks, some ruts, some puddles,
But all in all a great day out.
Thanks for sharing this drive.
We found your cache container tucked away nicely and with signing duties done and dusted we replaced the cache as found.

Out for a second run on the 4x4 series, didn't get to complete it, but are getting close. Run into a couple other caches as well. We took our little Cruze, on tracks it had never seen before. She done a great job. A couple of spots were a little hairy, but we survived. Tftc. sl tnln.

Quick stop to stretch the dogs legs and had this quick find! It was the first of the weekend! Thankyou for the cache
Our caching run today included just a amall sample of the many caches in the Wandoo cache series, found along with ilook4geo. It was a matter of some animal, some vegetable and just a touch of mineral. The caches were chosen at random and there are plenty that we had to leave for another time. Each log had two names added before we moved on to the next one. Many thanks go to Chwiliwr for adding to such an extensive series of caches to be found.
There are so many caches to be found around this area, so we just had to make a selection, while out caching with goimgplaces2. No problem with finding this one. Very happy to add another smiley to our map here. TFTC.
I took the better half for a drive to do some maintenance on all of the Wandoo series of caches down Yarra Road .
Some of them required replacing, some were fixed and a few were relocated as part of the maintenance so they are now all OK again.
We then went on and did a couple of others further east.

Out with 2Clueless enjoying a day of caching for our Good Friday holiday. We decided to continue finding some more wandoo caches and few extras along the way. All found easily and mostly in good condition. Tftc
Today, the 17th of the month, I needed 35 caches for a challenge. We worked like a military campaign on this series. I jumped out to find the cache and Mr L drove off as soon as I returned to the car. He didn't drive fast though. The road was pretty awful and we were glad to get to the end of it.
Luckily, I found every one I set out to find (absolutely no DNFs!) and actually completed that number before lunch. This is because the coordinates were perfect and only a short walk around was necessary before the cache was in my hand.
Unless otherwise mentioned, the caches of this series were found quickly and in good condition. Thank you very much for all your hard work. TFTC and Greetings from Cyprus

Out and about on the Wandoo Series on geosons birthday. Really enjoyed all the caches on a mild January day. We really enjoyed the beautiful bush This was our biggest day ever. The day was a massive day with 56 finds. Thanks to the CO's for placing all of these caches.
Up and out about early with Neva2old to claim a few smileys, we headed out to make a start on the Wandoo Series and any that jumped out along the way. After a quick search this cache was soon in hand and a smiley claimed TFTF

After some recent logs advising of problems went for a drive today and checked each of my caches.
Repaired or replaced those that needed it.
All good to go now.

Spent aus day caching with muskcat83 and janssej and kids. Thanks for the series. Will be back to finish
Met up with ctvanderlinden and muskcat83 for the day in search of my 1000th find. Needed 52 to achieve this goal - we ended up with 101 for the day! It was a warm Australia Day, but a great way to spend the day in the bush, seeing kangaroos, wallaby's and even a race horse goanna! Thanks heaps for the series - we'll be back at some point to finish it off i'm sure!

Thank you! Out for a caching day with papillon367, Photo-play and Bindi01. After a warm-up with the Cascades series, we headed off to do a couple of sections of the Wandoo series. We ended up finding all of the trees (bar one that was disabled) and all of the animals, and a few of the birds too. Thanks again to all of the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches. I hope to be back to complete the series soon.
Found it. TFTC Chwiliwr. Teamed up with Ullyssia, Papillon367 and Bindi01 to do part of the Wandoo series. Really great walk and drive through this area.
Teamed up with ullyssia, Photo-Play and Papillon367 again for a full day of caching.

Teamed up with ullyssia, Photo-Play and Bindi01 for a full day of caching, the biggest so far for all of us! We started by a walk to pick up the Cascades series, then we continued onto the Wandoo series. We found all the flowers (except one not in play), a few of the birds and all the animals, plus a few extras, ending up with 82 finds for the day. Most were quick finds as the coordinates were spot on. Thank you for the hide Chwiliwr and for the series – nice choice of themes and great concept to have multiple owners for a joint series.
A call went out and a plan was hatched to tackle the Wandoo series. Very early this morning we joined forces with WebblyWA to see how we would fair and with the expectation that it would be good to complete at least half the series. We started and just cached, cached and cached finishing 11.5 hours later with 138 finds and the series completed apart from one that is temp disabled. Had a great day and a huge thanks to the CO's and those that maintain the series. Sorry for the mostly generic logs.
A fave here for this section of the series.

January's challenge mission for me was to collect at least 300 caches. Knowing I could get almost half way there with one series, I put out a call to see who would like to join me on an epic WANDOO day and Team Fratra was up for it so plans were made. We met up early collecting the first cache at 6.45am. Completing the series 11 and a half hours later, with No DNFs and only one glitch left on the map of a cache that is currently disabled. My total for the day finished up with a few extras at 140 as darkness, wind and rain set in.
It was a wonderful day and we had great weather for the majority of the day. Massive thanks to the COs and everyone that has put work into maintaining the series.
Cache #136 for the day. TNLN. The lucky last one of the Traditionals, all clues collected and the final co ords worked out. Time to collect our prize. 100% find rate on these so thank you for all your maintenance work.

Due to the +40 heat predicted today, The Wandoo series was highest on the geocaching list. This was due to being mostly park and grab, therefore it was 50/50 between air conditioning and searching.
Had a great day and really enjoyed it with over 100 finds and a couple of DNF's. This section is my favorite part so far due to this fantastic bush. Thanks for your effort Chwiliwr.

pug002 found it 1/2/2016. Quite dismayed to find the majority of the series uncovered! TFTC Chwiliwr & Company.
With a week touring around Perth, some time obviously had to be made for caching out here on the west coast. I started the day off slowly today with some short hikes, and then by lunchtime had decided to attempt finding over 100 caches solo today.
A nice simple find here, with a bonus pathtag find too.
This was #44 of 105 today (DNFs = 0 so far).
Thanks for placing this cache, Chwiliwr, and thanks to all the COs who set out the Wandoo series.

Out in the mighty patrol today with nick to collect the procrastination installation 46 through to 1 we found them all in good condition and left path tags along the way.
The weather was spot on and there was even some mud for the patrol to splash about in !
We found all 46 in about 5 hours... Our gps was having a melt down today so we walked around in circles a few times.
sorry for the generic log

Day 3
We intended to find the remaining caches in the series today so that only the bonus box would be left for the journey home on Sunday. Once again there was hardly any traffic on the roads so we quickly polished off the remaining minerals on our way to Beverley to get petrol. Then back up to Yarra road, where the dust & heat defeated us yesterday, to round up the last 10 animals & a leisurely return to Beverley to net all the birds. sounds O.K. but we encountered our first DNF of the series & it must contain a vital clue as we never did come across an 'M'.
Another excellent day. Thanks for the scenery, the flowers, the trees, the minerals, the animals, the birds, the weather, oh and the caches.

Caught up with Loudy16 to head out and attempt to finish off my Wandoo Series today. I messaged Allied Oz a few days before to see if he wanted any maintenance done, and he decided to join us for the adventure. Great day out on the trails with all remaining Wandoo caches found. A massive thanks to all of the COs involved in making this series happen. This was the last of the ones that Allied Oz joined us for. TFTC Chwiliwr
Mudbuzzie and I went on a night caching run as we haven't been out this way for a long time and we wanted to get some more of the Wandoo Series ticked off. All were quick finds and some were very amusing as we are 'big girls' when it comes to the dark and bugs etc. Most were found by Mr mudbuzzie so we were glad he came along too. TFTC
Had been advised that there was a broken lid on one of my Wandoo series of caches so came out today and did a maintenance run on all of them. Replaced the broken lid and repaired another that I found was cracked. Some caches had developed a bit of cache creep and one had been buried for some reason so put them back where they were supposed to be.
Spent many hours today doing the Animals part of the Wandoo series. Then We headed down to York to grab a few more smilies.

We spent today doing the “Animals” leg of the Wandoo series, plus few others. We then went into York for a couple of hours. It was a brisk but beautifully fine winter’s day. Most caches were in great condition, and all were easy, but fun finds.
We managed 50 finds (which is now our best of 1 day) and 1 DNF.

A big day had been in the planning fr sometime with Spatialriq and today it had finally arrived.
The goal was to complete the Wandoo series in a single day. An early start was arranged and we found our first cache at 6.01am. The last, the Bonus box. at 5.01pm Exactly 11 hours later.
A great day on the road and great company. All caches were found fairly quickly with spot on co-ords with the exception of one DNF.
A credit to the four cache owners on this series and the ongoing mantenance to keep it aliv. Well done.
This was cache number 130 out of 132 for today. Also our total find number 3007

For the past few months, Kyzabra and I have been trying to find a day to tackle this series. Fortuitously it ended up coinciding with the last blank day my geocaching calendar.
We met up at 6am at the Rock Inne Tavern and worked our way around the series. By the time we found the final puzzle cache it was 5pm ... for me it was 147 finds (and yes I found 3 more on the way home) ... I couldn't miss getting 150 in a day when I was that close . Oh, and only 1 DNF for the day. What's a day of geocaching without at least 1 DNF! [:o)]
Thanks to the 4 CO's who put this series together and keep it going. TFTC.

We never expected to make it past Beverley doing the Wandoo Series, but the kids were fantastic & we decided to continue on until they had enough The enthusiasm was waining somewhere along Talbot Road, but once we got to the dirt road's they were back on board & wanted us to go to the very end... This was the last find for us in the series today as we decided that the kids would love to visit the final cache in the daylight!
TFTC Chwiliwr [^] We loved doing the series today & we had a blast... The kids love hitting the dirt tracks so the last leg was definitely their favorite! Also a favorite for us for pushing us that little bit more than we originally envisaged [6]

Tackled a good chunk of the Wandoo series series today with dcorunna and jlotsos. We started near the corner of Yarra rd and headed north. This section was very peaceful with no muggle cars whizzing past on the gravel road and all the finds were fairly straight forward. Picked up about 50 all up with a couple of others thrown in along the way and not one DNF amongst them.
This was number one for me and after parking up I jumped out and made a quick find.

TFTC. Have been looking at this series from afar in Brisbane decided to tackle the series with the geo-nephew SGT Ant on a trip back to W.A. Started early to see how far we can go. Challenge is on to see how far we get. Non geocaching mate along for the ride. Showing him the sights of the W.A bush.
Got up early to get a start on this awesome series. A great range of different caches. I managed to find over 30 with only 1 dnf. I will have to make more time to finish off this series. Thanks for the effort in putting this series together.
A great afternoon out. I started this series in August 2013, and got through all of it except for the Yarra Rd section. As I'm not supposed to be walking long distances at the moment and my hubby offered to take me caching this seemed like the perfect section to tackle.
We were following around lucgoose, TeamBastholm and Team 8 Ball who had visited all the caches today before us, so it was easy to see where to pull over for each cache as we could see their tyre tracks.
I had quick and easy finds at all the caches today, in the obvious spots, and I managed to get all the numbers I needed for the final. Unfortunately, or fortunately as the case may be, I didn't see any of the animals referred to in this section of caches.
Thanks for the cache and the series Chwiliwr!

Day two and it was a long day but 87 finds 1 no find Out with friends and family in and around York for a weekend away, having a lovely time thanks for all the hides.
What an awesome day! Megawat60 and I, along with Me&B, had a great time making a start on Wandoo Series.
Having finished Allied Oz's botanical caches, we took Yarra Road and obviously started at the bottom of the list.
The gravel road was a welcome change from the highway which was busy even on a Saturday. Stopped before starting on this set, had a coffee and some lunch. A ute drove past and it is the only vehicle we saw on this road today.
Then drove on to the first cache (for us) and had our first find on these. TFTC Chwiliwr, my 1,700th cache!

Having just completed the botanical run of the Wandoo series we turned north and started this run. A nice break for a coffee and lunch while we saw the only vehicle on this entire run both ways.

Went along with Megawat60 and m4yb today for a pleasant 'little country drive' to find some of the Wandoo Series. Great weather and company for something like this and we had a 100% success rate.
Except for one ute driving past while we had a lunch break, we had this road to ourselves all afternoon.
Thanks for all the effort in putting this out guys!

Nice easy hides and spot on coordinates made for a great day hunting, despite the odd shower
