We are on another short (three day) caching holiday in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, staying for two nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Nepean River BIG4 Holiday Park at Emu Plains. Hoping to collect the latest GFA puzzle & Wherigo caches around Luddenham & Wallacia, a leftover WGA puzzle cache at Warragamba, some leftover PGA puzzle caches at Penrith, an Adventure Lab in the lower Blue Mountains, plus any other caches we happen upon during our travels.

When we booked the holiday cabin a month ago there was no predictions of the flooding rains that the area was to experience during the past week, so we are unsure of exactly what of the previously planned caching locations will actually be accessible on this trip.

Stopped off for a quick look whilst chasing GFA puzzle caches in the area, but sadly nothing cache-like was found at GZ.

Was doing a cache in the area, so came past to recheck. Area has been mowed, but after checking the structure it is not there.

Catching up on my logs from the Feb, March, April and May. Fell behind because of too many TBs from events and a lot of drafts. Sorry if my log becomes a bit generic. And thanks to all the COs!

An easy Png for my daily cache.

Find #464 on streak day #151.
Finding myself driving through the area on my way home today and I know that there are still a few nice and easy finds I've saved for a rainy day. Today was the day for this one. I drove through on the empty roads and made my way to gz. I parked the geomobile just a couple of metres away and instantly knew where to search. I had CIH quickly and completed signing duties in the geomobile as it was pouring. Running back out to replace and I didn't get too wet thankfully. TFTC gleNally!

Oh thank goodness! A NFF by torchlight. Third time lucky to find a cache to claim this county!

To celebrate the wonderful Countrykittykats birthday, we set ourselves the mad challenge of visiting 30 counties in a day. Not at all sure that it was possible, I planned and prepped and we set out hoping for the best. Only hunting for D1.5 T1.5 caches to accomodate Countrykittykats injured ankle. Low are behold after an epic day of caching, where we saw beach and city, suburbs, bush and farms. We made it! Our 30 counties found and one extra for good measure Smile Just for an extra perk. A wonderful day out together and an adventure we won’t forget quickly! Thanks everyone for making this wonderful day possible by keeping your caches alive. TFTC

Heading up the mountains for my cousin’s wedding, made a quick detour to tick off this lone icon remaining on the map that I’ve never quite had the opportunity to detour for. Quick and easy PnG that’s also now given me unfound time.

I had to take a half-hour drive to have a ten-minute conversation this morning, so of course I thought I'd best value-add my trip by getting some caches. For a few reasons, I soon knew where the cache would be, but it took a bit of effort to get hold of. A good spot for a cache to not get muggled too.

22-Jul-17
A quick find while out and about on a glorious winter's day. It took a little longer though to actually get the cache in hand (a nearby natural tool helped achieve that) and to then sign a very full log roll. It urgently needs replacing.

Thanks for this cache gleNally and for the smiley.

Nice find while hunting caches in the area today.
Thanks for the fun!

23-Jan-17
First find of the night with our geofriends. Lights coming on from property near by probably wondering about our car lights and torches in the night in the night .

First find of the night on what has been a long awaited night caching outing with our favourite crew members. Found quickly, although lights at a nearby house came on to check out what we were don't. It never seems to take long for us to attract attention even when we're under the cloak of darkness! TFTC

First find of the night and first Spider of the night. TFTC Smile

11-Dec-16
With a little stick manipulation and spider avoidance the cache was recovered only to find the log choc-a-block. Thanks for leading us to this area. Lived locally forever and did not know this area existed.

11968. Found during the drive home today after a work visit to the region.

Heading home after a work visit and I had some time for a few caches. Next find for the day. A nice quick drive-by park and grab using a handy dandy caching tool (ie a stick !) ! Signed the log, replaced the cache, then it was off to the next one.

Thanks glenNally !!

10/9/16. 11:59 AM. Cache #4189.
11th of 14 today - pushing further west into rural Liverpool council: Rossmore, Badgerys Creek, Luddenham, Bringelly & Greendale.

A short detour here after finding "Timmy's "Turtle Rest" TB Resort". A thorough inspection of the most likely hiding place and eventually spotted the little sucker, well tucked away. Too much web nearby for my liking, so a stick came in handy. After signing the log and replacing it, I retraced my earlier route and headed to "Historic Home - Kelvin Park". TFTC.

#3059 (4 of 13 today) (Streak day 380)

Felt the need to binge on caches again, so I decided to head out west to the land of **The Booos** and **glenNally**. Grabbed 13 but there was a DNF, and a few with strings of DNFs that I just drove past.

And the rain stayed away until I was on my way home. A good day as I move towards the top 400 cache finders in Australia.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Well, this one is harder than it seems.

At GZ expected a park and grab, but couldn't spot what I expected to be obvious.
Decided to use a tool to more thoroughly check a few spots, and in the second hit pay dirt. CIH!

Completed signing duties and replaced. Hmmm, still hard to spot it in place.
On to the next target.

#182 went as far as we could go by car and then a bit further on foot. Got met by a couple of the local dogs while searching. Thought I knew what I was looking for as I had found a couple similar and there it was. A lot smaller than what I was expecting. Extracted from it's hiding place and signed log. Thanks for the cache

Needed to fill in the calendar day. A very early morning run and found it easy one once I knew to look in the obvious spot much more thoroughly. I finally go to use my magetic tool which I have been carrying in my geocaching bag for 18 months and never been used. TFTC.

I just suck at these nano's. Spent five minutes looking and then the unfriendly neighbour showed up. Glaring from the car, I pretended to get back in the car and he drove off. Went back for another quick look and off I went too.

Took a nice little drive this morning and completed a few of the "Booo Clan's" caches which I have been meaning to do for some time now.

This is great location for a cache, the Bell Birds are just everywhere and their piercing calls fill the air.

Located cache fairly quickly but it took me some time to extract the little blighter, a stick had been lodged and broken off.

Anyway, all good now, log signed and replaced, nice little container.

Tks ... glenNally ... GazMag

The ageing Bushfire is back in the area for his son's birthday and a few hours caching was the order of the day and decided to tidy up Glenmore Park first and then head down toward Luddenham and back up the Mamre Road to grab a couple, visit Dan Murphy and home for dinner.

The GPS sure took me on a scenic drive to arrive here but it eventually sorted itself out and i arrived at the end of the road.

I don't know if bikerbuddy convinced the local that we are all friendly but he did not show today and all was very quiet today.

I looked at this structure first but missed the little bugger and after not finding it close by on my return I spotted the little sucker and the log was signed returned and I was off to the next.

Thanks glennally for bringing me down to the end off this road.

#929 & day 37 of my streak

Kept my fingers crossed that I wouldn't encounter any gun-toting natives while looking for this one (admittedly the crossed fingers made it difficult to drive, but we managed to get there safely without hitting anyone. Or at least anyone worth worrying about Smile ).

Luckily no one was around & we could pull up almost next to GZ for a very quick find.

Thanks GlenNally Smile.

Thought we'd do this one as a quick drive-by while visiting my sister who lives not too far away. The finding of it should have been uneventful, except for the nearby resident who drove out of his driveway while we were at the cache location. He stopped his car on the road, looked at us and then slowly crept off. Less than a minute later he drove slowly back and then re-entered his driveway. It was obvious he was a bit suspicious of our activity on this quiet dead end road. Just as we were about to leave, his car crept back out onto the road. I decided to wave him down and allay his suspicions.

He was very gruff as I explained what I was doing. I showed him my GPS with the geocaching app and some of the previous logs. He mellowed ever so slightly, since I think he was convinced I wasn't stealing the end of the road. But when I said that if he saw anyone else there he would at least know what they were doing, he very nastily told me he'd just moved there from the country, and if I'd tried that in the country I would have been shot.

For a brief second I thought I might point out that it was, in fact, a public space, and that no argument he could mount would justify that action. But then a moment of wisdom prevailed. I've recently discovered it's pointless trying to talk reason with someone who is determined to be irrational and abusive. I just thanked him and he floored it down the road, his wheels kicking up loose bitumen angrily at me.

So, a simple little cache, with not much else to say otherwise. Thanks
