Thanks for the cache and placement Five Oh - 34 Using other forms of transport , SEMIK Find Number #4924 at 17:02 Hours
When I opened this one [#34 Using other forms of transport] I couldn't help but think of this one, {see pic #1} lmao
I thought.... hmmm, what IS my favourite form of transport other than another Geocacher's car off doing the same fantastic like-minded thing [^]. It then came to me... it was SO obvious {see pic #2, the more 'realistic' one}.
This is no doubt my favourite form of transport {this years trip to Tasmania at Xmas } coz it takes me to another land, the closest i'll ever get to an overseas trip

For ease we stamped the logs as "Fabulous Randoms" today
A nice trail to do......the section in the middle for 4WD was a little hectic at times, but we got there. Overall an enjoyable and fun time was had.
Thanks so much for this series of caches SEMIK! [^]

After being out north on a FTF hunt the second part of plan B was to finish off the Five Oh series.
Found them all and even managed to drive the very rutted section in the impreza.

love when you can spot the cache from the car.day 2 on the trail with lukewest, nice easy find tftc
Originally we were only going to do half of these today but we found them so quickly that we decided to grab them all. Easy finds and accurate coordinates certainly helped. We didn’t attempt #2 as we could see the bees without getting out of the car. Caches 5-8 were a challenge as the road was extremely rutted but as it was so dry we did manage to get through with our high clearance vehicle.
Thanks for the trail SEMIK

At home I cache almost exclusively by bike. It’s been a luxury to cache by car over here. Thanks.
Had come up to Angaston for a couple of nights with the aim of getting this series and a few other caches along the way. [^]
Started this trail at #1 and worked my way around the 50.
I found all the caches that I looked for but was unable to get #2 as there were some very angry bees at GZ one of which stung me behind the ear. Also did not try #5, #6 & #7 as the tyre ruts were too deep in parts for me to get through.
Apart from those, the caches I found were mostly easy finds with good coordinates. There were a few broken containers and some very damp moldy logs, but I was able to sign them all. [^]

After running in the Nuriootpa parkrun and brekkie what else to do ? Find a cache or fifty odd, most were quick finds, some were hard to retrieve from their hidey-hole and most of the film canisters need the log renewing as they are a sodden mess

Did this Five Oh power trail on the mountain bikes with the geowife on my 48th birthday, and thoroughly enjoyed searching for these caches. We found every one except "2 numbers" that was guarded by a beehive. Supremely grateful for these caches in a beautiful part of South Australia. Thanks to the CO for creating the trail and for Bearly Organised & Cherryrose for their timely maintenance of many of these caches recently. One of the tracks in the middle was only passable on foot or mountain bike or a 4wd with very high clearance, but we had great fun getting through them. Highly recommended series. Photos of the tracks are in Five Oh 1 People.
Found out with Beary Organised on third day of Caching holiday in the Barossa. TFTC TNLNSL
Found it lying on the road. Replaced where I thought it belonged. TFTC TNLNSL
Out caching with my good friend Gral4 today. We decided to come back to the Barossa for the second time in a week and started the day early with breakfast at the Big Grill .
All fueled up we hit the road again to see how many caches we could muster. Everything started off well but then we had water issues. We came across some wet log books and then we hit impassible wet roads so we affectionately dubbed today - "The Wet Ones Tour". It didn't detract from the fun, we had loads of it, it just meant we couldn't get to all the caches we wanted to do . I guess we'll just have to come back on a drier day!
In the end I found 60 caches

## 'the wet ones' adventure! ##
Today I was out and about with Ismartis having geocaching fun before having to head back to work on Monday. We found lots, including this one, replaced some caches with CO permission, replaced a lid and some log pages, and had far too many DNF's. Lots of the caches were very wet so we ended up calling it a Wet Ones tour! All up a great day!

A quick find. CacheClosed1847 spotted the likely location it as we pulled up, thanks to a strategically placed rock. We removed the rock because it makes it a target for muggles but still an easy find. TFTC #197
jinta29 and I are in town this week after many months of planning for a week to remember. We are heading to the Yorke Peninsula, Murray Bridge and as many places in between as we can get to. This was one we found along the way.

Day 3 of our assault on the peninsula geo-arts had us finishing off the two remaining series before high tailing it back towards the big smoke . Now that the weather was a bit better we might actually be able to use our swags [^].
I had been eyeing off an interstate trip for some time now and made plans to head to SA to power through the geoart trails over here . I roped in my geo buddy Krabiboy to join me and we set about solving [?] caches and highlighting Jasmer caches that aren't available over in WA. Our adventure took us from the CBD over to the Yorke Peninsula and then back across to the Murray Bridge area . We were relentless in chasing down the finds and picked up as many as we could in the week that we had available. Due to the park and grab nature of our visit, the log books which weren't able to accommodate the ink stamp we had made were signed with the initials 'jk'! Fave points will be awarded for those caches which are considered awesome
A massive thanks here to SEMIK for placing this cache here and for tempting us to venture over to this area. Cheers!
jinta29 found your cache Five Oh - 34 Using other forms of transport today. This is my find #7250 and find #190 today. I was able to get my name in the log book here and we replaced the cache as we found it. Thanks once again SEMIK for placing this and bringing us to this part of the world!

6 April 2017 7:23 AM Found with Gonefishen07 on our little adventure . We are making our way to Alice Springs for the Mega event. We are doing some caches along the way this is one of them . Thank you for taking the time to place the cache
Found with Hearse068 while in the area. We are heading to Alice Springs and doing as many caches along the way, this is one we stopped at. Thank you for placing this cache for us to find.
Day Thirty of our holiday, BettyBoo3747 and I are still at Semaphore in Adelaide.
Today we hit a couple of power trails, an OTD (July) and the Oh of Five Oh.
Lunch in Nuriootpa, and a few travelling caches to fill in the gaps.
We tackled some of the Five Oh series after lunch at the bakery.
This series has not age well. Most containers were broken or squashed, and most logs were wet and manky. If this series is to continue, maybe a maintenance run is required.
We replaced some logs where they were unwriteable or missing.
A nice area and a good series. it is a pity it has been let go.
Thanks, Robmc.

#12181. Day 30 of our SA holiday. We had a quiet caching day yesterday so with the weather forecast not so good it was time to take the geo-chariot and try to complete some trails around Nuriootpa with a few random finds along the way. We did the OTD July series first and after lunch we tackled some of the Five Oh Series. A good day with 79 finds and 2 DNFs.
The Five Oh series is not in good condition right now. A lot of logs were wet, full, manky and quite toxic. A solid maintenance run through the series would be much appreciated by future finders I am sure.
I didn't want to retrieve this one as there was a big hairy spider (well, the remains thereof) so I prodded and poked and then got my leather gloves and finally retrieved the container.
Thanks SEMIK

Suscoe was enjoying the surrounds of Nuriootpa today with our good friends Phetlern.
A cold start greeted us as we headed out soon after 8:00 am.
We completed the Five – oh trail and were pleased to find every one although we had to walk to some of them due to the very boggy conditions of the roads.
We also picked up some other traditionals nearby as we went along the roads of the area.
A few logs have suffered from the recent rains and are damp, hope they dry out soon.
Had a chat along to the way with a local vineyard owner who explained the intricacies of the frost preventing turbines. Interesting to find out the science behind this technology. He did say they were having a great start to the season.
Then we headed further afield to find some other caches to the south and west of the town.
Thanks to SEMIK for your cache, an enjoyable day was had by us.

A nice easy find on foot while doing the biggest loop of caches we've ever done in one go (27). TFTC.
Please excuse the generic logs, but have been away for over a week.
We arrived in Nuriootpa this morning after driving from the Yorke Peninsula and decided to add this series to our list, not realising how wet your roads can get. We decided to complete the outer roads for this series and actually made it around all except 8 caches. We found this to be a nice easy series to navigate, albeit wet under foot.
A great day was made better when we finally drove away from here. Thanks SEMIK for this series.

Out with sir_spectre for the day and series was our target as we needed to get some big numbers up, mission accomplished
A great series with easy finds and a few slip and slides haha. Thanks semik for the series

Found on a fun caching afternoon with Sebastbat.
When we came to do the series we offered the CO, the gorgeous and multi-talented SEMIK, to do some maintenance if necessary.
Most of the caches were in fine condition with accurate coordinates and dry logs, right where the GPSr led us.
Sometimes we have to walk. Sometimes ride. Today we almost needed 4wd, but not quite.
Soon I must go kayak... need to buy that pfd (personal finding device)

Wonder what happened to 33?
Having a bonus long weekend (L having a student free day) this week decided to head away and do some C&C (camping and caching). We set ourselves the target of completing the 0 in this series and would have done it except for 1 pesky DNF which will have to avenge next time
Some of these logs will be generic, don't normally do that but with such a large series I run out of things to say sorry Semik

We haven't used to many other forms of transport but we reckon some of these trail type series would be pretty good to do on a pushy.
