Today we spent a relaxing day in Kununurra. Fortunately there are a few caches in this town, but this one seems to be gone.
The Big Western Australia trip in 2018. Day 13. The road again continued West to Timber Creek and then Kununarra, plenty of roadside stops in the hyper long grass along the way.
I had a good look around all the possible seats, but no luck uncovering a cache.
Thanks.

I have spent a few days in Kununurra on a work trip from Canberra. The rain held off this afternoon, giving me a chance to find a few caches (and not find one).
I actually visited here twice today and spent quite a bit of time searching. I looked thoroughly under every 'seat', digging into the pebbles all around the seat. Too good for me.

After doing the Gibb River Road we are in town for a couple of days and naturally grabbing caches here and there
After seeing a snake crossing the road not far away I was a bit apprehensive but luckily a quick find and then skedaddled out of there

We left Parry's Lagoon this morning heading towards Kununurra as we continue our meandering across northern Australia from one side to the other after attending the Red Centre Experience.
This was find #7 for the day.
After arriving in town, we shopped, set up camp and had lunch. Now for some caches.
Luckily I had preplanned a route for this half day and even told Alice, aka my car Nuivi, all about these caches.
She guided me here to a lovely barely used park as the area has not been developed yet. It took me far too long to find this cache but eventually my name was added to the log. TFTC

Wir sind zum ersten Mal in Australien unterwegs und sammeln gern mal die eine oder andere Dose, wie auch diese hier. Danke sagen wir allen Ownern für das Herführen und Pflegen.
Spending some time in Kununurra before continuing our trip to Broome. This container needs replacement. We couldn't do it this time. Tftc
Wow. Middle of nowhere. Might be nice when developed. A little too secluded for a single girl walking around. Lucky no one else was around.
A quick find in a lovely little park. I suspect this park will be so much nicer in a year or two. SL. Thanks to knxkids for the cache.
Found with help of previous logs... What a lovely little park... Came armed with a new log but there is still plenty of room on back of Geo info sheet T4TC:)
A quick find on the way out of Kununarra, which I have greatly enjoyed. I found the cache about six metres off GZ under small stones. TFTC knxkids.
Quick find in a lovely residential location

During our holidays in Australia we travelled a lot and searched some caches. TFTC and greetings from Switzerland.
Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! Our journey started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island, before heading to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier, Cape Bridgewater, the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. The second leg of our journey was a fabulous 9 days in Tasmania. Having then returned to Melbourne we set off on the third leg of our journey, which was to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. We then spent a few days in Sydney with geocaching friends efore flying on to the Gold Coast for the fourth leg of our travels, that included visits to Lamington National Park, Noosa and an overnight trip out to Fraser Island. We then flew from Brisbane to Cairns, where we spent a couple of nights before heading out to the birding hotspots of Yungaburra and Daintree. Following on from a visit to Cape Tribulation we turned to Port Douglas. After a day out on the Great Barrier Reef we returned to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs and the fifth leg of our travels, which was a wonderful week driving the circuit to and from Ayers Rock in our 4x4 camper. On returning to Alice Springs we then flew on to Darwin, where we picked up another 4x4 camper. We are currently making our way towards Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
I couldn't see this one for looking, but geo husband found it straight away on searching where I just had been looking! Thanks so much for the cache.

A lovely park and easy find. Found by one of the non-geocachers in the group. Thanks for the cache.
Found it with some help from Archie and friends who come here to play but never knew about the cache!
The big move from Townsville to Mandurah WA. 5000km and lots of caches!:) After the geocaching event in Katherine, the next driving stint to Kununurra has begun!
Finally in Kununurra and 2 days rest stop are in order while collecting some caches in the area.

Today at Kununurra we completed a few caches that need to be done and this was one of them. An easy find.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

A pretty little park we would never have found if the cache hadn't brought us here.

First find on our first real day in our new home.just around the corner it was time to get out of the house and unpacking and enjoy some scenery.thanks for this cache. We intend to be finding more around this gorgeous area.nice park too.
Parked the caravan at the show grounds, and went caching around Kununarra.
A nice new park, and a short search soon produced the cache.
The container is a little battered, but it looks the part.
Thanks for the cache, knxkids.

We found this cache during our trip from Broome to Darwin. As we did not have any internet connection in this beautiful but remote area, we could only log it after having returned to Switzerland. Many thanks to the owner, it was fun.
Nice little park. This is all new and not on any of my maps in the gps. A bush fire had started nearby with lots of birds of pray circling above. I went to have a closer look and found lots of empty match boxes on the track. I suspect this was not an official burning then!
This was our 5th cache find in a caching run of 8 Finds & 0 DNFs today.
We found it at 10:21 so this now makes our total find count 6987.

Another great caching day in the Kununurra area.
A nice, quick find. We were just planning our approach around the sprinklers when they stopped and a new set started up. If we had been a few minutes earlier we would have been trapped and drenched.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (Around 2 metres).
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks knxkids for the hunt today.

Well isn't this an odd place ? [:o]
There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between development and houses, between outback and houses, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of geocaching. It is an area which we call the Caching Zone !! [:o]
Deedle dee dee, deedle dee dee !!
I strolled along the concrete path in pursuit of my caching destiny this morning.
And in the middle of a bushland setting far from any houses, found ......
.... A grassy patch of manicured lawn with sprinklers merrily watering the lush surrounds which nobody but idiots with cans of spray paint and geocachers ever venture into [:o]
The strong winds blowing today meant I enjoyed a refreshing shower as I searched for the cache.
It was a nice easy find though and I could soon make my escape back to the real world

One of a dozen or so finds on our caching day in Kununurra. Looks like boom time here judging by the new subdivision.
