Checked on this cache as a mate couldn't find it. The guardian is still there not in its spot in the tree but face down on the ground.... And the cache which I'd previously found is gone? Relocated? Not there? Without giving the camo away, checked and looked around the area if u know what I mean.. but couldn't locate it..
Even with a hint from a previous finder still could not find it. Will have to go back again. Went back again with more info but still could not find it. Found a big leach under a piece of bark though. Little sucker did not get me.

Replaced log today, so it has a nice fresh one. Also had to check out what this 'doll' was all about. Don't know who put that there! Scarey!
Also Team Legends, if you read this I had to delete your image from the logs. Shows to much of the cache camo and might give it away. Sorry.

Out with Team Legends who takes credit for the find. Amazing Camo!! The geokids were moving it around looking in the wrong place. I will add this to my favourites...
Sneaky sneaky sneaky, with JesseCogo and geokid, there was a big huntsman who scared the other two away lol. So the old bloke came to the rescue had a look around and by a fluke found it!! Very cool...
WayneCogo logs the find for this one, saw a huntsman and NOPE'd out of there, oh well. TFTC!
P.S. Nice doll, had one similar as a kid, not as creepy though.

Found it on a night run with Geo daughter after failing to find Rambo to keep up the 31 finds in 31 days. A very tricky and well made cache. Needs a new log, if I get a chance I will return and replace it ASAP. Love the scary doll. TFTC
Before the football match started I had time for another quick one. This was not to prove quick!
In fact, it the half information from two Phone-A-Friends to make the find well after dark!?!

Last one of the day and quite a challenge! Found both the creepy dolls and spent quite a while looking for completely the wrong thing. Pretty much gave up then spotted something and there it was. Nice work on the camo! Interesting old buildings too. TFTC!
My neice kept moving it out the way to look in the trees.. lol silly girl.
Pulled up and grabbed this on the way back from jumping off a cliff nearby, neatly done also spot on with the coords what more could a cacher want!. TFTC

Streak Day 147 #1145
I've been driving by here for thirty years. I've always had a strong bond with Appin Road, having lived in Campbelltown, and Wollongong, and regularly travelling between the two.
A late night find. Finally success!
Cheers

GPSr had a heart attack and would not zero in on a GZ. As such a conducted a quick wide search and went home.
Next time.
Next time.
SES is currently at GZ cutting down trees and clearing debris. If we weren't in a rush and running late we would have stopped and made sure the GC wasn't taken but coming back past later, it still looks all ok

Found with JYGE and fairbz. JYGE had been before and suffered frustration, so I trusted the gpsr and came up trumps. Brilliant container. Very well camoed. I have driven this road many times but never paid much attention to the old silos. Thanks for bringing me here.

This hide is only five minutes from home so it was time to find. As always a hide from Team Soupbone has a lot of effort and thought and this didn't disappoint. SL-TFTC
Took about five minutes, and finally there it was. Mmmmmm, and to think I wasted all that time last visit....Thanks TS, very clever.
#1494- I'd had a bit of a look around and couldn't spot anything- tried a paf, but no answer. Was just about to leave when something said to check there. And... there it was. More good luck than good management I think. Thanks.
Second attempt at this one, I remember when the road went this way round the silo. Thanks
Quick park and grab on the way home from the mountains. Found with snorris. TFTC.
Found with paulyman on our way home from visiting the family in the Blue Mountains. TFTC!
Not top much traffic this late afternoon, so a quick stop at the roadside was safe! Had enough time to have a good look and be able to spot this tricky camno!!

Sensational, makes me look around the kids room with an inquisitive eye, what in here can I use as a cache?
I was about to leave the GZ after 10 mins of getting crazy beat up by the prickly trees and post a second DNF when the sneaky sneaky cache revealed itself. Must've passed it over 20 times in my frantic, cursing- out-loud style of searching. A good reminder to step back and think outside of the box. Thank you! I feel ecstatic to have found this Soupbones cache
After a hot tip earlier today via ThaFlava, this one was found... No Problem. Hardest part was knowing where to stop on the side of the road!
Cheeky, and similar to other TeamSoupbones caches. Found quickly enough with TheRomulans on a night time run. Funny enough, TheFlava was most recent to find, we met him today and discussed a similar cache, so this was fresh on our minds. TFTC.

I remember when the road ran on the other side of the Silos, didn't help us with the cache though. Maybe next time.

I had to work today, and forgot it was International Geocaching Day.
I was home, had just had dinner, it was dark and windy outside and I very happy to be inside and I pitied anyone caught out in the cold. I also have a cold. But I digress.
I was settling in front of the computer to check a few emails and stalk my 'friends' on facebook. As I was checking all the latest entries in the News Feed I saw one from 101Geo wishing everyone a Happy International Geocaching Day.
"Bugger" says me. Then I realised that I would be one of those people out in the cold and "Bugger" says me again.
"I only want one for today" I thought to myself. I whipped out my trusty iPhone and loaded up my geocaching app to find my nearest to home unfound cache and that would be my target. Geocaching app happily displays that the nearest cache to me unfound is 'Silo's of Old'. A charming little micro that I failed on it's publishing day. During the day. This time it's dark, but I stay positive and head out. Upon nearing GZ I parked and again scrambled up the small hill and stood in the dark, laughing at myself for being out in the cold, with a cold, at night, looking for a cache. My Mother will later tell me that I'm more intelligent than that but for tonight it's all about the cache. I look at my GPSr and it indicates that I'm a mere metre away. After doing another soupbones cache recently I had it in mind while looking for this one. Don't make the same mistake, it won't help you. "Stop! Put the GPSr away! It can be no more use to you, you're on top of it" I thought. I started a thorough and systematic search of the area around GZ and after about 10 minutes I was duly rewarded for my efforts. Did the log book thing, placed the cache back and slid down the hill happy in the knowledge that I can find micro's... in the dark.
Happy International Geocaching Day? Well it is now!
Thanks soupbones for another great local cache.
Oh yeah I nearly forgot. There are Silo's nearby. They're Old.

That.is.ingenious. Needed a hint from a geo brother in Christ. Still took me 15 minutes to find after that. I have some learning to do when it comes to the art of geocaching!
possibly muggled. 6 scouts 2 leaders could not find it. or it is incredibly good camo
I had limited time so could only search for ten minutes. Activity of other searchers was evident. Will need a return visit.
Like many others, I have driven past these silos many times and never took much notice, thanks for history.
Found the coordinates to be very good, which made locating this very well constructed cache a little easier. After a few minutes the little blighter was spotted.
Log signed and all replaced as found.

Took a few minutes to find this sneaky little cache, nice hide & camo........sneaky. Great spot for a cache, I would have just driven past this spot not realising the history located just off the road & up the hill, thanks for bringing me here.

Even with a paf I couldn't find the cache today. Maybe my GPSr was out of whack today? Oh well, better luck next time.
Heading home from a day in the mountains we opted to come via Appin Rd and past this spot we've seen so many times.
Stopping today I was drawn to the void in the silos before the gizmo settled down and I soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks

Found nice and quickly, another excellent hide and at a familiar childhood location as I grew up with in the Campbelltown area.
Amazing...spend half an hour last week without success (but it was only my 2nd day of geocaching), and today it took me about 10 seconds to find it. My first micro cache discovery - devilish little things, aren't they?
this is cleverly constructed cache, we missed it the first time around and driving past thought well , better have another quick look and there it was. funny how you over look things. TFTC
Hey that's more like it! Very crafty hide that I enjoy looking for. Cheers.
After spending some time shopping at Harvey Norman and Macarthur Square it was a relief to head for home via the twin towers to seek out this cache. Over the years we had commented that this would be an ideal place for someone to place a cache, so well done Team Soupbones for locating a very cleverly concealed cache here, thanks.
Just my 2nd day of geocaching...decided to try this one as I was driving back from shopping. I wasn't exactly sure how small a micro cache is supposed to be, but after having now read the GCA Wiki I have a better idea and will return later for another go.
Was so excited to see yet another Soupbones cache in our area and couldn't resist searching for it this afternoon after work! It was a long search and we were about to give up when we stumbled across it! Another tricky little hide Soupbones well done TFTC!
Well now I can officially say Im FTF and 2TF. I searched for the cache a second time and this time found an empty log! This new hide, although being so close to the original hide, took me considerably longer to find, it definately isnt obvious now. Replaced as found. Cheers soupbones.
Just disabling this cache as there seems to be an issue with the log ( or lack off ). It will be back in 24 hours.
A sort of FTF here tonight, maybe. After grabbing the FTF at 'oran park flying fox' and speaking to ThaFlava, I knew he was heading straight over to try and bag the FTF at the silo's, so I headed home and assumed the FTF would soon be claimed. When I read the DNF log tonight I couldnt resist the chance to get the first find. So I headed over to the GZ, in the dark and began my search. A few minutes in and after playing where would I hide it, I spotter the cleverly camoflagued cache. With anticipation I opened it, hoping to find an empty log and...it was empty! No log. After contacting the CO, he confirmed I had found the cache and the log had mistakenly been left out. Dont know if I can lay claim to the FTF without having a log to confirm, but I did find it and it makes for an interesting cache story. I guess I'll have to come back when the logs replaced and sign it. Thanks soupbones for a fun day of caching adventures.
OK, visited the cache and as Wessiri informed me, I had forgotten to put the log into this cache. My bad.
All fixed up now, and cache moved to a better hiding spot in the same GZ. I think FTF should go to Wessiri. He proved to me with a photo that he found the cache, so please leave the FTF space on the log for him to fill in.
Anyway cache is ready to go!

Arrived and parked as instructed, scrambled up the slope and said "A micro. Here?" if you know me, you know I detest micros but I was here and so might as well have a look. I had a quick scout around but I'm really not in the mood for micros today which is strange because the FTF allure usually gets me past that.
