The Zombie is falling apart (more so than a proper zombie should), and other maintenance of this cache is becoming too onerous, particularly as finds have now dropped off. Additionally we no longer feel comfortable listing caches on this piece of private property due to cachers not respecting the property.

Enjoyed this 1 – thanks for an interesting cache - TFTC / TFTH / SL

12-Jun-17
A Sunday out with Sebastbat, Purrfect Di, Jack, and geokid Alex brought us this way.
This was our target cache for the day, the ending didn't disappoint but perhaps the guardian's friends had gone to Edithburgh for the weekend Razz The trail to GZ was pretty safe, and the guardian treated us gently to a log to sign.

This was the funniest cache we did! TFTC

26-Apr-16
Oooooh this was fun and a bit spooky!!! Beautiful night to wander around in the dark. Cache is still being heavily guarded!! So appropriate that he's made this cache his home. TFTC! Awesome!

23-Mar-16
After spending a few days on the York Peninsula, today we headed to Clare picking up a few finds along the way. Waiting for darkness, we had a meal at the hotel before venturing into zombie territory. Fortunately for us perhaps, this was Easter long weekend and we think most of the zombie's took the weekend off - except for the ghoulish creature that awaited us at gz. Managed to record our visit without the appearance of the guardian and hightailed it back to the safety of our cars. Thanks Frozen Feet.

23-Mar-16
Today we slowly made our way north from Point Turton to Clare, picking up caches as we went.
After checking into our accomodation we had dinner and prepared ourselves for what lay ahead. Wow, thanks for your interesting and inventive cache Frozen Feet. Although it may have seen betterdays, you had us stumbling around in the dark looking for the light at the end of the tunnel, thankfully *WE* didn't run into the Huntsman tonight.

19-Mar-16
A nice night for Zombies, lucky we bought our slow walking friends. Got some great photos and really annoyed a huntsman spider who was guarding the cache!

18-Mar-16
Found it with Team Crumble. ...the start of our Clare get away. First successful night time cache. Love the zombie theme...it was made more gruesome with a huge hairy spider guarding the cache. Thank you for an awesome fun cache

Mr Frog found this without me (I can't run very fast)

29-Dec-15
Dropping TB; there is no other TBs in the cache and swag is light on. The initial warning sign is long gone (we found the remains half way along the trail), and most of the bones and remains are gone or hidden. Still an awesome cache though! The reflectors and tacks show up well in torch light. TNLNSL TFYC

29-Dec-15
Nice evening of caching with B1 (of B1&B2) and muggle in-laws. After a traipse through the fields cache was soon in hand. B1 added commentary of details that were there when cache had launched but degraded over time. I imagine this would have been amazing when it was first placed! Lots of fun, easy and enjoyable find. 15-Aug-15
After some slippery parking along the muddy road, it was over the fence and into the paddock. Almost knee high and very wet grass, meant some of the group ended up with very wet feet! But that's the price of adventure, and this adventure was most appreciated as they followed the reflective markings by torchlight, finally arriving at GZ where the first inclination was to scream!!! Great fun!!! TFTC Frozen Feet

26-Jul-15
Found with Snap Happy and Snappy Tom Cats after attending Wine and Dine Clare...Featherweight turned up just as we headed off. It was wet and we were in our "stepping out gear"... lucky for me being a Tomboy that doesn't mean heels... Over the fence, followed the trail that led us to the final GZ.... I guess it goes without saying that I will be giving a fave point... Thanks for your efforts ... I sooo wish more caches were this much fun. By the time we got back to the car our feet were squelching in our boots... a week later they still weren't dry and I threw them out... Cost... One pair of cheap boots
Gain...A great night out with great friends and another memorable cache under my belt
Well Worth it!!!!
Thanks Frozen Feet for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

After a comedy of errors where I'd arrange some night-time caching with GordonPatrickSamuel and friends, where they went to one night cache and I went to the other(!), I fortuitously met up with SnapHappy, Tomboy711 and SnappyTomCats at the starting location of 'Zombies'. Found the masterly crafted cache after an entertaining but waterlogged stomp around the hills in the rain. Thanks for the adventure Frozen Feet!

25-Jul-15
Nice foggy night to find the zombie

25-Jul-15
Ok so went on a wild zombie chase on a very windy, very foggy, very wet, very cold night. Had no idea where we were going to start with, even with advice from some cachers we busted leaving the scene, however we soon spotted the secret trail. Arrived at final destination with some soggy shoes and socks but due to the extreme weather i was not lucky enough to get a good photo with my new bestie Smile Many thanks to Roaming Wendy and Vase22 for making the trek with me Smile

25-Jul-15
Found it wet to the knees and frozen to the bones thanks for the enjoyable night walk

25-Jul-15
After a great meal with great company at the dinner event, we headed out with Tomboy 711 and SnapHappy to find this much talked about cache. Featherweight joined us at GZ and we set off to find the cache. It had been raining and was cold and windy, which made the experience much more spooky! A favourite point I think. Dropped off a TB. Thanks for the Frozen Feet, Frozen Feet! and the cache!..heh heh..

24-Jul-15
It's a thriller, thriller. What a cache. We came we saw the firetacks we found the cache. Nothing else to say but go out and find this cache. Well worth the FP. TFTC

Another well executed Frozen Feet cache Very Happy Squirrel and I thoroughly enjoyed following the trail to find the zombies in them hills! This cache definitely deserves a favourite point

Where to start!? This cache has been on my to do list since moving to Adelaide in March. I promised BBB that I wouldn't head out here until she was visiting from WA.
DAY 2 of her visit and we rugged up ready to brave the low temperatures! (2 DEGREES CELCIUS)
We drove out, found the parking spot and headed in.
This is such a great cache and I love the effort that's gone in. Thank you so much for placing and maintaining this hide for all cachers to enjoy!!

20-Jul-15
Eeeppp loved this cache. Out with the SocialHarms whilst im in SA. Spent the day caching and then into the night! Definitely a great night cache! Tftf!!

16-May-15
It would appear that the sheep have been eating the firetacks (either that, or the zombies have). A fresh lot of tacks and some new reflective paint should make hunting down zombies much easier now.

10-May-15
We been meaning to stop to see a Zombie here for years! Since I missed doing the run on the 10th anniversary June LWE Event in fact!
Didn't get a good start, so needed to paf, then we were on our way.
Unfortunately the zombies may have been obscuring their trail, as we had a bit of difficulty in following them uphill, then we were on their tail.... fo awhile.
The trail went cold for awhile. We stumbled around in the pitch black and rain for awhile before paffing again and getting a direction again.
Once we knew which direction to look we could see a faint glint of the zombies location.
Love ya work on this one, although we are either blind or the zombies need to be trained not to cover their tracks! Smile
TNLNSL
Thanks

After a lovely Mothers Day with my family we decided we would head out here to do this one on our list to do! Terrible weather greeted us but we toughened up for the challenge. No luck at WP1 so I called the CO for a little heads up and proceeded to sniff out the trail. The zombies were lurking but had covered their tracks so we had to make another call to put us straight. If you want to scare yourself tonight was the best night to achieve it, freezing cold, raining and a howling wind set the scene for a terrifying find in the end! Glad we left the geo pooch I the car! Love your work SL TFTC

23-Feb-15
Our last find for the night. We were a bit too impatient for this though and didn't wait for it to get completely dark which may have affected our success or lack there of. We had some difficulty finding the first WP (the grass is pretty tall and thick around it). After finding that one, we were again struggling with the next one. We thought aha, there it is but when we reached the tree we thought ha, it is only a patch of lichen or bark that is reflecting so went back down to the start WP. Not seeing anything from there, we went a bit cross country and ended up completely away from where we should have been walking. While we didn't get the full effect, Mrs TiedyeSmileys did get a bit of a start. Walking in the semi darkness, the wind was blowing quite strongly and she looked up the hill and saw a person waving at her in the middle of no-where. It took a little while to realise what she was looking at and we soon had the cool cache in hand. After finding this, we tried to see where we should have gone and then saw the prominent crosses that were totally obscured from the angle of approach we took Red Face. A very pleasant end to a day of caching.

06-Feb-15
After we finished the Rattler trail we headed of into Clare to clean up a few caches in there, we have travelled to Clare quite a few times but we have not been here when it is getting dark to do this one so after doing the Rattler Trail we made a group decision that we would spend the rest of the day caching Clare and wait for darkness, today was going to be the day we cross this one of our to do list, we have heard a lot of rave and today is our day to find out what all the rave is about, after eating some fish and chips we set of and do a night cache with the Kelly Gang and after we parted ways we head for this one, arrive at the start and work out how to get in there, read a bit on the listing and soon had entry, from here it was a fun walk following the tacks etc until we arrived at GZ, well i must say that the wait was worth it, this was one cool cache to do and i reckon i see a resemblance between us lol, very well put together with the different props, now we are happy cachers we now head for home. TFTC and the great adventure.

06-Feb-15
We saved the best for last today.
Caching with 3LG and the x-trailers.
It was a calm hot night when we started this creepy little cache find.
As we approached the final GZ the wind picked up and the rain started to fall.
A well thought out cache deserving it's fav points and another from me.

Second night cache for us trio tonight
After arriving close to ground zero as we could drive to we headed of with torches in hand
The special effects put on by nature added to the cache
Windy, few drops of rain and a clap or two of thunder certainly added to the fun of the hunt
You guys certainly planned it well
I bet we looked a funny sight going back and forth across the paddock
No trackables were sighted in the cache
Took our tbs along for the fun

We found this cache on our trip to Adelaide with team Seffnjarah. A good time was had by all. Thanks for placing this geocache.

27-Dec-14
Day 3 of team Seffnjarah and team Mickjor's trip to Adelaide. After leaving from Cobar this morning we arrived to stay in Clare for the night, after a huge day of driving. After setting up camp I left the rest of the group to relax with a cold drink while I ducked out to grab a few caches in the remaining daylight. After making a few finds, I returned to camp for some dinner and a rest. I had mentioned earlier in the day that we might do this night cache with the kids, but was ready to put the feet up and relax. Eventually I was talked into it, so Mick, Jor and myself drove out. Found a park near the starting point and a quick scan of the area with the head lamp spotted a reflector in the distance. We followed a trail of reflectors, finding a few on the ground, and were supervised by a group of shiny eyes hovering in the darkness. Eventually we appeared to come to a dead end, so returned back to the beginning to start again. We spotted a couple of different reflectors, and Mick spotted he cache guardian with a random sweep of the torch. We probably didn't follow the full and proper route to get there but after a long day, we had wandered around in the dark long enough so were happy enough to get our names in the logbook one way or the other. TFTC. Grabbed a TB while we were here.

30-Sep-14
Thanks for the cache Frozen Feet love the thought and work that's gone into this one not sure how you organised it but the hundreds of sheep eyes following us around made it all much more creepy to the point where even sticks had the girls jumpy, torch battery fading did not help matters!!
Once again thanks for the fun fp on its way

Creepy cache on the way to whyalla TFTC our 100th find!!!

Found by Eden Hills Scouts. Thanks heaps

02-Aug-14
Also found with Eden Hills Scouts.
pity I didn't look closely (too many scouts) as it seems it is full of geocoins/travel bugs.

Nevermind, it was a great cache that we walked to at about 8.30pm. Freezing cold, wet grass and rather spooky. The scouts loved it.

TFTC.

After completing our 2nd trip around Australia, we are now going up through the center.
Currently camped at Auburn, to cache around the area.
Drove back to Clare after dark, to do this cache.
Even though there was a full moon, it was dark enough to find the reflectors.
A good fun night cache. Many thanks for the hunt today, Team Wibble.

14-Apr-14
Found in the company of vistra and yorkshirekiwi83 once it had turned dark after finishing up some trails for the day.

This cache was a must do for me on this trip. It was great to do a night cache for once out in the open, and I made friends with Colin who we bumped into at GZ! Wink

Signed as SAVY - "slieschke and vistra, yorkshirekiwi83" - excuse the backwards grammar! Very Happy

Thanks!

14-Apr-14
Vistra, slieschke and I teamed up today to tackle some of the power trails in the region (signed as SAVY). By now it was dark, that put an end to the powertrails for us, as we still had a long drive to get back to our accomodation, but we did see some high rated night caches kinda of route.

This was the main target for the evening and our last find for the day (number 238, my highest finds for one day). Never done a night cache in the open like this and it was excellent, kept expecting to hear creepy music or have a smoke machine start up. But survived the zombie attack, and Colin the zombie was in good condition. A favourite point from me.

14-Apr-14
Yorkshirekiwi83 and I are in South Australia, visiting from New Zealand for the Aussie Mega. This afternoon we teamed up with Slieschke and undertook some of the power trails in the area. For simplicity in signing the logs, we adopted a team name of "SAVY" meaning Slieschke And Vistra, Yorkshirekiwi83. This cache was found in the dark on our way back to our motels for the night. This was a nice and easy night cache as we strolled our way around the field, following the clues and eventually finding the cache and it's guard! The biggest fright of the evening was to be had when a bird flew out of a tree as we approached it, the sound of crashing leaves and squawking made us jump a little! Thanks for the fun cache! Favourite point added!

Reflectors added and signs righted. Should be easier to follow now. Definitely no trackables in the cache Sad

21-Jan-14
We we ready for the night zombie experience, found the Zomie Research Facility but that is where it ended for us. We could not find any guidance by torchlight whatsoever so unfortunately we could not pursue this cache.

17-Aug-13
A truly awesome night cache. Very well "executed".

27-Jul-13
Amazing cache. Got a little scare at the end. Spotted moving bodies at the gz tftc

Oh my giddy aunt!

The wind blows and... well... I'll nod and wink at the people in the know.

Excellently executed night cache - definitely the best one I have attended by far.

Thanks for the epic cache Smile

Thats very sad and disappointing... I left all these trackables to encourage people to do the cache and they have been lost... wonder if the sheep have a taste for metal???

18-May-13
Contents not scattered, at least, but given the container had fallen open 3 times in quick succession, we replaced with a traditional ammo can which should withstand the forces that might pull something like this open.
Only found two trackables in the cache, plus the Kangaroo, but he has no trackable tag Sad

27-Apr-13
You cant tell me that after I visited there... No one took any of the 5 TB I left???????

26-Apr-13
Fantastic idea, big thanks to cache and property owners for this awesome cache!
Dropped two TBs.
Be careful! The cache guardian may be dead, but spiders crawling over his dead body are REAL and very much alive!!! So check your sleeves after handling the cache container!

Also, please close the cache container after you finished with it. It is a terrifying experience, but you know what you came for! When we found the cache, container was open and half of its content was lying around on the ground, there were signs of rain water inside (dried out already).

Good luck and enjoy the land of zombies!

26-Apr-13
We will be up in Zombieland in 3 weeks time, will check on the status of the container and try to figure out why it keeps being found open. Will also check status of trackables in the cache.

21-Apr-13
Cache was found open with contents strewn across field, most likely due to todays weather. Log book unusable, we picked up most everything and placed it back in the cache. Still, an awesome cache, thanks team Wibble. When the log book dries it may be usable again.

I have been looking forward to this cache for months so when my caching inclined brother came up to visit it was just the opportunity. Heeding the signed warnings we set forth with shotgun and sword in hand bathed in the stench of death to distract the undead to seek out the cache. Short of supplies and full of fear we followed the moans of the undead tentatively knowing that we may not be able to hold off a whole horde. Thankfully they were distracted by a nearby sheep carcass and we were able to creep past to the guardian who allowed us access to the cache. Thanks for this one. Excellent.

16-Feb-13
Propped up signs, added new firetacks, and gave the zombie a new wardrobe.

09-Feb-13
Found at 2106hrs after a bit of a walk on a beautiful evening, a bit windy for Ranger 4 but she did alright considering she's only 5 weeks old. Found the guardian & took care of it. TNLN Thanks Wibbles for the cache.

27-Jan-13
One of the reasons we decided to spend our long weekend in Clare was so we could complete this night cache, after all the hype and the massive number of fav points we had to do it hehe! It certainly lived up to the expectations Very Happy a few of the zombie signs have fallen over but was still an awesome cache.. As if there is even a Team Wibble cache that is ordinary Razz hehe. We dropped of a few trackables Smile thanks again

27-Jan-13
Went to a local cache nearby and watched the sunset. Before attempting this one.. At GZ we saw many wooly zombies... but they were running away from us... maybe we are the zombies?

One of the signs had fallen over, but due to the hard ground it is now leaning against a tree...

Thanks for the great cache Team Wibble most enjoyable

Will award you a fav for the fun Very Happy

Left 5x Trackables... Hope to entice a few to do the cache Very Happy

17-Jan-13
The 3 Ms joined us to celebrate our 25th Anniv. in Watervale. So after dinner it was time for some more caching before they headed home. 2 of the Ms had done this at the JLWE so they stayed in the car whilst we other three went off to meet our fate with the living dead. When we spotted the sign we knew we were in the right spot. For once flashing around wasn't frowned upon and we soon were off on the trail. Wow did you know that zombie turds look just like sheep nuggets [?] Not long before we encounted the cache guardian and the prize was ours. Smile This was our first official night cache and loved it. Another fav point from us. Thanks Team Wibble Big Grin

06-Dec-12
Well after hearing all the rave reviews about this cache I have been watching it and wanting to do it but couldn't justify a 4 hour round trip for a cache.

I finally decided I needed to get out the house and away from all the christmas hype, so hubby home from work, kids home from very busy days of excursions, we headed off, picking up a muggle friend on the way.

After driving back and forth looking for somewhere to park that didnt involve walking up that hill, we proceeded to walk down the hill thinking damn we must walk back up to the car lol. The sheep were a little off putting, where there is sheep, there is poo.....also do sheep get teritorial like dogs, will one come running at us? OK it was late weird things go through your head....

Kids were brave, although one son kept reassuring us it wasn't real.....until the final bit then he had to walk behind us holding on, but he assures us he wasn't scared. Our youngest daughter was shown photos before we went so she wasn't scared, but again at the final one of us had to stand back with her Smile

Thanks for the cache, was alot of fun and I love the effort you always put into your caches....now to try and wash the paint from the kids that dressed up to go zombie hunting.

Loved it, was on a scout camp and the leaders decided to find a cache and this was closest, was spooky finding it TFTC

04-Nov-12
Did this cache on a night walk with the some others, but was only just reminded that I needed to log it so sorry for the delay. We had a fun night walking through the paddock searching for the zombies - thought we found them from the glowing eyes from the sheep. I grabbed a coin and will work out now how to log it and try to put it somewhere else soon.

this was fun, a little scary, and memorable. thankyou

04-Nov-12
This is by far the most fun I have had finding a cache!!
Went at night with torches and it is a lot of fun. We nearly went the wrong way a few times... Lol

03-Nov-12
This was the first night cache I ever did and it was so well done, and so much fun, I decided when planning a camp nearby that another visit was in order.
There was a hot north wind blowing, and smoke in the air and after a 3k hike through the prickles and dusty road it was over the fence and into the Zombie lands. The group was hesitant but determined, and doggedly kept going to GZ! Smiles all round, and after signing the log and enjoying the atmosphere it was back to the campsite.
Thanks again for a great cache

It was sooooo dark out there! Where do we start! Lucky we had lots of torches.....needed them to dodge that zombie poo! Did this on the night Adelaide held its Zombie Walk! Great size cache with something for everyone. Took TB and a pile of photos! TFTC Team Wibble....everyones favourite!

06-Oct-12
OH Team Wibble you have out done yourself with this cache. It was an awesome night made all the more fun with the company I was keeping. With a group of 12 and many, many eyes in the distance which we hoped were just the sheep, cos with the size of that pooh it could have been a raging bull for all we knew!!!

The entire cache was so well thought out and with the exception that the bigger kids (me included) scared the absolutely crap out of the younger children with our zombie pooh comments, and highlighting really scary things, the whole night just went too quickly. We adored the final location and when we got there we spent more time taking photos that will become face book photos I am sure, and some sent home to my older daughter who was not surprised how crazy things were getting.

Again, Team Wibble should be congratulated and anyone going to Clare and contemplating doing this cache, DO NOT HESITATE!!!! You will not regret it unless your brains are eaten by the Zombies, but if you live in Gawler beware because we have returned there now to follow on Zombies runs mission!!!

Well that was lots and lots of fun! We pulled up and it was so so dark, my youngest had fallen asleep, my eldest decided he was too scared to do the cache! Well after some coercing our large group consisting of Team Jacob & 6-Tayls, 4 Adults and 8 children had a ball searching for zombies! This was a fun well thought out cache that we all loved. Thanks Team Wibble.

Upon pulling up a tawny frogmouth landed right in front of us,trying to ward us of we suspect. But unperturbed we explored the forbiden zone.Upon reaching the final gz,we had to move along a mob of sheep..Great cache,a fave..Left shirley the sheep tb,plus some extra toys to fill the cache..TFTC

Found easy enough but had to wait for a poor sheep and one of her babies to leave the site of her other babys lifeless body right next to cache Sad tftc

What a way for geoDad to celebrate his 50th birthday - hunting zombies!! A brilliant cache, thanks.

11-Jun-12
Managed to get a few real caches done while out at the Clare event. Nice one.
Thanks to Team Wibble.

11-Jun-12
What a brilliant cache. A rare Astro fav awarded to this one. The awwwwe factor, the scary glowing body parts and other things, the cool cool wind over the grassy knoll all added to the hair on the back of my neck factor. Not to mention the Zombies who all gathered at GZ. Safety in numbers? Or is there??

Clear skies from TeamAstro.

absolutely loved it! so clever and fun, sure wouldnt want to stumble across this if i werent a cacher! thanks for the cache! scared the bejeebers out of me!

Surprised Great work guys! Left after CCCII Finale with Burton's & SA Sewer Rats and converged along with many others for some fun on this chilly night. Lots of laughs and photos later we made it safely back to the warmth of the car. This makes our 701st cache, probably beginning of some record caching for us!

Definitely a favorite for us!

Teamed up with `Scargoes and SA Sewer Rats.
It was not hard to see where the start point was as car parking was a little tight.

Enjoyed to whole experience of the wind over the hill and the surprises that sprang forth at every step.

We arrived at GZ to find lots of Zombified cachers, so it was really hard to pick to real Zombie!

Cheers and thanks for the fun

Found with goingtheredoingthat in the fading light. Possibly not best time to do it but the reflective stuff still did it's job. The brain eating zombie looked like my aunty...

This had to nearly be one of our fastest in and out caches for the day. We bolted to GZ as soon as it was dark as geokid (5) so wanted to see this before we headed home tomorrow. We rushed out and were back by 6:15pm ready for presentation night.

What a great idea, so much detail and thought. Thanks so much for the scare!

Headed to this one straight after the presentations were finished. Unfortunately it proved too scary for Charlie, so we waited in the car (with the doors locked) with SuttonTwo while Sonic ventured out with our other new friend. What we saw looks fantastic and Fi hopes to return one day for a proper look (Charlie's not so keen).

Started out on this one on the way home from the JLWE, backed out though and joined Fich06 in the car to wait for intrepids Sonic and Jaydee - too cold for these bones!

Mrs. Flipper got offered a seat in the frog mobile to go and check this one out, so off we went, it was like Grand Central Station at the parking point, we hopped the nasty bitty fence, and headed off past the signs and the fluro/glow markers were a real big help, those little itty bitty ones are meant for the dear stalkers to find their spots again, and Gayle always has trouble spotting them. We made our way past some interesting body parts, and finally found the Zombie, we coerced him into parting with the treasure, well just so we could put our marks in the log book any way. Definitively a fun night out.
thanks Frogs for the ride, and the Wibbles for a very detailed set up cache.
Cheers

Found this with Limbage for protection after the Caching event. Was just getting dark, but still dark enough for the firetacks to do their work. A great deal of effort has gone into this. Well done and thanks.

Took the Rat Dog for protection. This was a well thoughtout sequence of finds, (body parts). Stopped to have photos with the Zombie and his treasure. Thanks to team Wibble for our 800th cache, TFTC

After picking up Mrs flipper we thought her tail would provide us with protection and she was also our slowest member just to be safe, we joined many others in a search for the elusive zombie once cornered it became very submissive handed over the log before we retreated all safe and sound into the geomobiles

No problems with zombies when I went looking for this one after the CCCII presentations.
I think all the laughter from the mob doing the walk scared them off. The cache guard was definately petrified by them!
Cheers and thanks for a very fun end to the evening [^]
