Will no longer be able to maintain this cache as living back in Melbourne again.
Seems this one's disappeared again. Will endeavor to replace within the next couple of weeks.
Nah we couldn't find it. We have searched for this one on previous visits to Mt Beauty without success - although we didn't log it as such - but this time we figured we would search each time we passed by since we are staying at Tawonga and thought that "it can't be that hard!" Time to call it quits with this one for us.
Nice views as always!
Nice views as always!
Found with Beaker on a week-long 4wd trip through the high country. Highlights included walking to the summit of Mt Kosciuszko, sunset from the top of Mt Pinnibar, seeing an Eastern Water Dragon and having the living daylights scared out of us by a deer at Wonnangatta! Along the way we rescued a bushwalker from a 7km limp with a sprained ankle, climbed mountains, crossed rivers, saw many huts and beautiful scenery, did some excellent 4wd tracks and some great caches. Thanks
Found with FerociousFlea while on our 8 day 4WD sojourn through the the High Country. We were collecting caches that we liked the look of as we went along.
We could spot the cache with the help of a torch, but wasn't able to retrieve from the bottom of the post. Have claimed this one as a find as we did find it... just couldn't add our names to the logbook.

No luck today! Heading back to Melbourne after a lovely camping holiday in Mount Beauty.
We had five pairs of eyes searching - high, low, magnetic, stinky, seated, woody, but without luck.
We did find a lizard, possibly stuck down the bottom of a disused post hole, so dropped in a stick as a possible exit route. So we got a result there!
Great view.

Didn’t think we’d find this one after the recent dnf’s but we did. Well Polnevdol did and I happened to be there at the same time :-p Thanks for that! Loved our time in the area TFTC
What a beautiful part of th world. Thx very much for bringing us here..

Out to Albury this morning with Crank1 and Everlasting with beautiful warm/hot weather. Now on way via different route home. Found the base magnet but the cache has gone forever! Thanks to Everlasting and Crank1 for replacing the cache. TFTC and bringing us here. A fav from me.
Replacement temporary until the owner maintenance. See pic.
Found magnetic there so add object and sheet. Signed the log and thanks for cache and hunt

Glimpses of snow through the clouds which was colouring up nicely at sunset. TFTC
Found it while checking out the views over a snow capped Mt Bogong on sunset. Great spot, TFTC
Super hazy today! Mcbarron was looking in all the wrong places. Asked if he looked at GZ and low and behold there it was. Needed a Mummykins look. Tftc.
Cold wet and a spot of cache blindness (or haziness, like the mountain today) Found eventually. Tftc
The geo wife and I had planned a trip up to central northern Victoria. We finished our first day in Tallangatta and stayed the night there. We were up early for breakfast and on the road again this time on a circling detour through the Alpine region. We really enjoyed the drive through this area. We stopped for the views and saw there is a cache here and found it quickly after 2 muggles moved on. Signed and replaced as found.

When found, couldn't see the Big Fella's head but weather cleared nicely and on a drive by later saw the whole picture.
Thanks for the cache bogonghazy

Really sorry for the late logging, cycling has taken over my life, and I'm waaaaay behind on logging found caches...
This week I was here with my husband and a friend cycling the 7 Peaks. Today we drove to Harrietville and rode up to ski village of Mount Hotham, then back down again. I think this was my favourite of the peaks!
In the afternoon while the others were chilling out at Tawonga Caravan Park I had the opportunity to go out and find a few caches.
This was the first one, and it was a quick and easy find here. Thanks for the cache bogonghazy!

Had to wait for some blasted tourists to leave the area before starting a serious search. Sufferin' cats - they must have read every damn word on the info sign and then read it again! Anyway, thanks bogonghazy - Mt. Bogong was very clear today.

Spending a week in Bright with the hubby and kids for a holiday and today we decided to trek across a different mountain to Mt Beauty, Bogong and Falls Creek. This morning Bogong was definitely hazy! The last time I visited Bogong was in 1996 on a school camp. My school (Heathmont College) teamed up with Maryborough Regional College (30 kids from each school). I made friends with some of the girls and we wrote letters to each other to stay in touch. We also visited one or twice a year... on one of those visits To Maryborough 18 years ago I met Daniel (my muggle hubby). 'Twas lovely to revisit Bogong Village to see where our stars first aligned!!! Thanks for the cache and the reminiscing
Excellent views of Mt Bogong, Easy find, Thanks for making us stop here.TFTC
A family getaway to Mt. Beauty and surrounds meant we could capture a couple of caches along the journey.
We stopped at this spot on the way down so that we could admire Mt. Bogong and get to know the names of the peaks around it, while taking in the great view.
It was a bit cloudy around the summit, but it wasn't raining for a change, so we got to enjoy the panorama and took a few photos.
Perfect spot for a drive-by cache! We then started looking for the hide and after a quick search the container was found.
SL at 2pm. All good but log is getting full.
A great stopover for a find and a stretch of the legs. TFTC bogonghazy.

Is bogong hazy???? not today. A nice clear view and a quick find between traffic. Cache is in good order. Thanks for the hide Bogonghazy.
Grabbed this one on the start of our drive back towards home in Melbourne. Nice spot on the first day of our trip where we could see part of Mt Bogong! Thanks for placing a cache here - Mt Beauty is stunning.
A bit rainy when we stopped right behind a bus taking seniors out for the day. An easy find.
Thanks

The sixth day of our 14 day holiday and a trip over the range to Mt Beauty and surrounds. A quick easy find in the obvious location and a great view was to be had as well. Yes, it was hazy due to local burning off.TFTC TNLN.
Nice quick find.
Bogong was bit with the autumn hazard reduction burns. A beautiful spot.
Had to wait for the cyclists to pass before we could sign the log.

Well I got good news and bad news.
The good news is that tonight Mt. Bogong wasn't hazy, nor was it last night.
The bad news is that while I was climbing it earlier today it certainly was hazy. Very hazy, but it lifted (I like to think just for me) just in time.
Nice.
Great to look at where I walked earlier today. TFTC

Found by Team Ladava on a day trip to the delightful town of Mt Beauty during our Bright R&R break.
Yet another wonderful view from this location.
Hmmm, I believe we have met and that description did not actually occur to me at the time.
Why not another favourite point.

First find! Camping at the nearby camp grounds, so wondered up for a look see! Forgot a pen tho, so couldn't fill in the log. Beautiful spot!
The sixth of the day and the second I nearly got muggled out of. Saw the cache just as a car turned up. The headed off soon after and cache was found and signed. My GPS had a few issues though and wanted me to play chicken in the middle of the road. Unless you can make the cache look like every other bit of road out there I thought I should look elsewhere.
Thanks Bogonghazy for making my Saturday fun.

# 177. On an interstate holiday with Tweety14, stopped in at Mt Beauty to visit friends. Stopped at the lookout on the way out of town. TFTC.
Found during a one-week roadtrip, caching around Mt Buffalo and surrounds (very wide surrounds ).
It was late at night when I got here, while driving from Albury to Harrietville, so unfortunately I missed the views. Bogong wasn't just hazy, it was invisible in the dark .
It is actually the first time I've been in this area, so I'm looking forward to returning here for the views and to visit Mt Bogong itself.
Thanks, bogonghazy - and it is a clever title .

Mumma and daddy backy attempted the bike ride here on our own, will get the others here another time
Pulled over as it was starting to rain. Parked the car 4 m from GZ. Pretty much just opened the car door and grabbed the cache. Talk about a park and grab!
I took the obligatory photo of a very hazy bogong, which tomorrow morning I would be climbing to the top of myself.
TFTC bogonghazy, it suits you!

A family reunion up at Falls Creek meant we got to explore this area in the Summer.
A great view here and a quick find.
We snapped a few photos of Bogong.
Might be a while before we get up there again.

Unfortunately, I haven't gotten round to log my finds in way over a year. Hence, in order to keep track, I now have to do only short logs. Otherwise I'll never have a chance to be up to date again...

On our way back home from a weekend of skiing and thought we'd stop for a few caches on the way. First one for the day, didn't take too long to find TFTC
Very hazy and wet. Couldn't see Mt Bogong. Few Muggles driving to the snow. Recruited Tim and Kevin.
Staying in Tawonga for a couple of days , we searched around for some quick grabs - this was one of them. We drove by this location at least twice every day. Every time the youngest member of the party wanted to stop and find it 'again'. TN, Left a croc eraser, SL. Thanks! Was it hazy? See the picture.
Muggles everywhere!
Got the cache, had to wait ages for them to leave before returning it.

We had previously searched for this cache close to a year ago but were distracted by muggles coming and going. This time the whole viewing area was clear and the location was surprisingly obvious at 11:55. TFTC
