I came in here from the south after 4wdriving for the last 2 hours it was great to make it here, very muddy around so was careful not to get bogged but a beautiful spot, cache easily found and in great condition hereThis weekend I headed down to Naracoorte for the weekly parkrun, after staying the night in town it was time to head home, I detour via the back roads and up through Ngarkat national park before making my way along the mallee highway finding some of the newer caches in the areaThanks for the cache
Detoured here, whilst on way around the playing field for the June LWE Gameday..A not so quick find, as I was looking as per the hint, before nearly stepping upon it...Signed, replaced the baggie, and put back in obvious spot, as per the hint, and added a stick to discourage its moving...A great spot, noted, and will be back...Scored 21 months of unloved too...An oldie too!TNLNSL Thanks

Lots of rain made the sandy sections easier than I image they normally would be, but things were a little different around the soak here it was very slippery in places and the clockwise lop tracked has water across it so I didn't even contemplate going that way. I was just grateful there was an alternative. A couple of very slippery deep holes gave me a raised heart beat on the way in.
I stopped at a picnic table closest to the cache for brunch and enjoyed watching and listening to the plentiful bird life.
The cache was in good order.
Thanks firesafe for placing & maintaining this cache.

A quick trip to Ngarkat for a camping weekend was planned with Baking Tray Pancakes. We camped at Rabbit Island Soak camp-site and enjoyed a few caches.
This looks like a great campground for larger groups.
We left a TB here, hopefully it wont be waiting long for its next trip.

Some days you just have to get in the geobeast and see where you end up!
So here we are. Almost at your cache! It's going to be a bumpy ride!!!
Tyres deflated and 4wd engaged... and off to search for boxes.
Found the only box we needed - the one with a log book
Much gratitude to firesafe for placing and maintaining this one
"A cache a day keeps the doctor away" - every find brings a smile to our map
Found with Jack on a drive out thataway!!! Might come back one day.
----------------------------------------------------
- - search at a good social distance whenever you can - -
Things are slowly getting back to whatever normal is - take it carefully!
Catching covid or gastro or anything really would mess up your streaks!
Keep away from all the nasty bugs ( except nice travel bugs of course )
[|)] - 2, 4, 6, 8,,, let's all go and vaccinate!
[|)] - keep away from crowds as much as you can, they spread those nasty bugs! [:o)]
[|)] - go out and find or place some new caches in our safe country areas away from bugs!!
Life's good. Enjoy ! ! !

What a lovely little area in here. A definite one to remember for the further over night spot if you are here at the right time. And yes there was water in the little dams that seemed to be scattered around the locale.
Thanks to firesafe and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!
This was like a little oasis discovered after a long day on the road. Great location and it works have been great to camp here. Maybe next time. TFTC
It was a glorious Autumn Day and so Anymules and I decided it was time to make the trip through Ngarkat Conservation Park to collect the caches there and in the towns surrounding it. Except for a couple of campers at Buck's we had the whole park to ourselves and didn't see another vehicle! [^]
There were indeed no boxes here. Nor were there any campers. There was however a cache which we duly found and signed.

A big drive with Csaba!, SupaOrange, Malco! and Freddo. We all took turns in driving the tracks. Turtle Out
Day two of our epic journey. Once again we drove for many hours and found lots of caches. Freddo and Malco! in the lead vehicle. I did at least 7km of solo 4WD steering today. Tra La Laaa
Day two saw us spend the day with Malco!, Freddo and the Supa's. Great place to come and drive. Even the Supa's spend a few km driving the trails. Thanks
After attending the Red Bluff Campground event on Saturday, Freddo, Csaba!, SupaOrange and SupaTurtle and I returned to Adelaide, taking the scenic route through the desert.
After finding the cache, we stopped for a picnic lunch consisting of tuna, wraps, pistachios and snakes.
Thanks for the cache, firesafe

Dry as a chip today. This the second time I have visited here for a cache. Such a great camp.
Thanks to e.gregory1 and FeatherWaite for doing some cache maintenance for me. Cache is all good to go for a few more years.
Featherwaite and I visited this area on an extended 4-day weekend that saw us in the Riverland, the Big Desert and Ngarkat CP.
As noted by the previous visitor, the cache was missing, with only the remnants of the plastic lid on the ground nearby. We replaced the cache for the CO with a small, black painted Sistema. Unfortunately there was no sign of the listed TB.
This is a great camping spot - there was no-one else around and it was so quiet and peaceful, with a real feeling of isolation.
Thanks firesafe for the cache.

Found with e.gregory1 during a trip to the Riverland, on to the Border Track, and into Ngarkat Conservation Park and Big Desert. Really enjoyed the 4WD tracks, camping out in the serenity of the desert and the adventure. With only remnants scattered on the ground, we replaced the cache in the likely location. Thanks for the cache firesafe!
I think i found where it was supposed to be. Found a broken plastic lid nearby. Great spot for a camp.
But we reckon it has been trashed. Only a broken lid, a bit pf paper and plastic toy left. maybe too popular here, make it a walk away from vehicle access. Nice to see Nardoo leaves floating in the soak.
Found It!
Time to test out the new 4WD! I took a rather long route into this one (or so I though). Then I went to take the quick way out only to find the track blocked off so I had to go back out the same way I came in. But the Hilux did it all with ease! (albeit rather bouncy!)

Found it fairly quickly laying on the ground. We returned it to where we thaught it may have came from. But great little spot and a great Easter drive. Left tb
Spent a fantastic few days with the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources and the students of Lameroo Regional Community School at Box Flat. Found this cache whilst mapping rabbit warrens.
Forgot my password to get in here. Been a while. Cache was ok. Left a couple of small swaps. Going for a ride. 200km round trip. Had 68 points of rain but sand was still very soft. Heading down jimmys track. Gate was shut past Ashbys Track. Some times both these gates are shut to all vehicles. So show respect and DO NOT drive over vegitation to get around gates. TFTC. SL. Cheers.
Came up the Jimmy's Well Track from Buck's Camp to make our first find of the day, the place being deserted [^].
Took pathtag. Left blue heart. SL. (Joint Silver podium with Nibs) .
Went for a wander around the ruins on the other side of the camp area before coming back and having lunch .
Had some campers arrive just as we were finishing up, so left the spot for them. Must keep this place in mind when we're in the area next [8].
Thanks Firesafe.

On a tour of Ngarkat with DISK, we came up a different road (Jimmy’s Well Track) than the main central one I used last time to access this spot. Won’t be doing that again. The close Banksia bushes gouged the side paintwork worse than any of Len Beadell’s tracks I have so far travelled . Found the cache, then took D & K to see the ruins and the site of the archived cache that used to be here. Thanks for bringing us back and keeping this spot alive Firesafe., and we shared STF with DISK. I replaced a pathtag that was in there with one of my own. Cheers.
Now wait a second !!
Before I claim the FTF on this cache.....
Am I to understand that this cache has been sitting out here waiting to be found for, er... how many months... let's see, hidden in May... it's now December.... carry the one, Yes that's over SIX MONTHS unfound [:o]
And to think that I just happened to stumble upon it this morning
Tee Hee !!
I had camped last night at Buck's Well and this morning was going to just head on back to the Dukes.
A quick scan of the caching map showed a couple of caches sitting along the northern boundary of the Ngarkat Conservation Park... so not really knowing where the trails led I followed the Jim's Well track in the hope I would end up somewhere nearby
The drive was long, bumpy and slow.
But well worth it for the scenery [^]
Some 40 odd kms of sandy trails got me to the campsite here
I parked the geomobile a few hundred metres away and went for a stroll.
The area was completely deserted.
No one seems to have been out this way for a week or more.
Maybe the rains have scared them all off ?
I found GZ and quickly found the cache... got a shock when the logbook was devoid of any finder's logs and sat down to savour the possibility that this really was a FTF
While I was sat there with the cache a 4WD suddenly appeared from over the hill.
I sat there unseen as the park ranger sped past just a few feet away
That was lucky and I rehid the cache and strolled back to the geomobile.
At least now I knew which track to take to get out of the park too [^]
