TFTC! Out for a drive today with Dunmowin with an earthcache in mind for the day. None of us had found any caches in the Mount French area so decided to find these cache hides. We had a lovely drive together to this area, picking up some delicious bread along the way at a little stall. A nice quick find here, just off the track to the lookout. Pretty quick walk to GZ, to find this one hidden quite well. What a magnificent view from here at the lookout. We got our priorities right, cache first, then admire the view. Certainly enjoyed the day, along with the company and this cache find here today.
International Earthache day, and a souvenir up for grabs. Suggested to Smiley1982 that we do some caches together on Mt French including the earthcache, as well as some caches in Boonah. So, Smiley, Mr D (AKA PommieJonny or PJ) walked out to the lookout, via this cache.Found in obvious spot, signed, left some swagThanks Brother Colin for bringing us here today. If Dunmowin has stamped the log, then PJ was there as well.
Tftc!! Beautiful views. Great way to finish the day after some amazing climbs.
Qith a few dnf logs I made my way out here to replace the cache only to find the old cache under dirt and rocks. I have Replaced and upgraded the container to what was originally placed here. A new log book and other bits and pieces are in the cache.
Wow such a great view from the lookout . The photo i took does not do it justice. I search all over and could not find the cache and i had pre planned with the CO that i would replace it if it was missing. I have replaced it and let the CO know. There were only 2 campers here today that i could see and how lucky were they to have the serenity . There has been fire here but i would think it would not have been enough to destroy the whole cache. Thanks Brother Colin for taking me to this beautiful spot
DNF for Giraffe18 and I today. Like others, we suspect the recent fire activity might be playing a role in this one not being found of late.
Still a lovey view from the lookout though on this perfect Winters day

While camped at Lake Moogerah for the weekend, we decided to go for a drive to Mt French. Took the walk around both lookouts and came to find a few caches as well.
Unfortunately couldn't locate this cache at a likely hide. Hope it isn't missing and was just my cache blindness. Beautiful view anyway.

Lovely view and a beautiful clear day to enjoy it.

Up the top of this hill with NurseyJulie today, we availed ourselves of the golden oldie at the carpark, then wandered to the lookout, where we hunted this one down. [^]
This took an embarringly long time to find given the size and the relatively good coords. My excuse is I hate using the phone to cache.. The final location was one that was 'almost' checked earlier, but not quite a wide enough search pattern applied. With that addressed, the obvious hiding spot came in view and voila, the cache was in hand shortly after.
Names were added to the fresh log , everything tucked away as found and we hit the road.
Cheers Brother Colin.

At the location of the GZ, we were going around in circles checked every spot as per the clue. Gunnie suggested an area and I did pick up a rock, but I must have looked in my blind spot as Gunnie came back to that spot and located the cache next to it! Doh! TFTC
After walking up mt Edward's we decided to drive up to mt French and have a look. Lots of cars parked up but not many people on the tracks. They must be all climbing.
Searched a few places before locating. Thanks for the cache

Lovely walk to the lookout and the rain held off. ‘Tho can hear thunder in the distance. Easy find at GZ. Great view from this point
How the heck does a logbook go missing from here Signed a scrap of paper but if I get back to do the Earthcache next week, will bring a new log.

Found as I made my way back home to Adelaide after attending the Mega Event at Townsville over Easter.
I camped at Mount French last night and went for a wander about this morning. The cache was a quick find and the container and contents are all in good condition.

Out exploring the scenic rim for the first time. Awesome spot and fabulous view from the lookout. Hello from Brisbane. TFTC.
This weekend, with a scheduled Mount Alford wedding, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I used the occasion to base ourselves at Boonah for a long weekend exploring the Scenic Rim vicinity.
On Friday, we took a short stop in Ipswich before arriving in Boonah staying in an ex-church accommodation.
On Saturday, we explored Mount French, Boonah, Lake Wyaralong, and then returned via Kalbar completing the *Churches of the Scenic Rim !* Adventure Lab.
On Sunday, we took a hike up Mount Greville, and after checking out a few stops along Reynolds Creek, we returned to Boonah for showers, before driving back home.
Today, we had a few activities planned, starting out with a morning drive up to Mount French for a short walk, and we got to see the awesome rock climbing walls. We then had a Boonah lunch geocaching event that was well attended. During the afternoon, we relaxed at a winery next to Lake Wyaralong, and then returned via Kalbar completing the *Churches of the Scenic Rim !* Adventure Lab. We also managed to make a quick stop at the sunflower farm as they started to flower whilst the season/timing was right.
It was only a short walk from the car park to this lookout, and wowza, how terrific are the views! We could see over a reasonably large distance of the surrounding valley / farmlands, before then turning our attention to this cache. Thankfully, the cache was found reasonably quickly. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and it is always nice to find an ammo can! Thanks Brother Colin for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Took a drive in the scenic rim today, had lunch at the scenic rim brewery then stopped in at mount French on the way home. Despite the cloud cover, it was still a nice view from the lookout, even better that I had it to myself. Cache was quickly spotted and log signed. Tftc Brother Colin
I decided last night to visit the lovely Scenic Rim chasing a couple of attributes for a challenge or two…
So with 14 targets, including a FTF, I set off at 7am this morning… at Browns Plains I realised I’d left my day pack at home… so back I went which meant I was about an hour behind… oh well…
I’m about to head home but the Tradition Caches up here were too tempting (not the EC… too much like school work)
I was surprised to find I had the entire lookout to myself… it allowed me to look for the cache uninterrupted… when I finally spotted the container I wasn’t sure how I missed it on approach… I mean it really is IPS… made my mark and then took a moment to enjoy the view… hard to believe we need a sign to tell us “do not throw stones”!!!

In the late afternoon, everything had taken on a gentle glow in the afternoon sunlight. We had climbed Mount Edwards in the morning, and then decided to finish the day with a drive here. We were very happy that there was a road to the top of this mountain.
The view was spectacular and we were very happy to find a geocache right near the lookout. We had the place to ourselves, except for some people further down the cliff who we only noticed a little later on a walk down.
Thanks Brother Colin. Beautiful location!

Out on some caching adventures with Kolour, after climbing Mount Edwards we decided to collect some local caches and then headed to Mount French.
After a lovely drive, we took a walk along the path where Kolour quickly found the cache. What a beautiful place. After signing the log, we replaced the cache as found and started our trek home.
Thanks Brother Colin for the cache.

After climbing Mt Edwards with Willis007, we found a few other caches in the area including this one - my first visit to Mt French. Quick find in a fairly open location as many small trees have died. Great view from the nearby lookout. Tftc
Out for another country drive with Mr CuriousQuest. A quick find and sign here after taking in the amazing views over Kalbar. TFTC
Out today with Selva Girls. grabbing a few caches around the Scenic Rim . Some geat views.Another quick find; log signed and cache returned as found. TFTC
Found this cache yesterday but forgot to log it. Mount French surprised me, I hadn't heard much about it but I really enjoyed both of the short walks!
Much to my chagrin, my partner spotted the cache first, even though I started looking before him but at least the container was a good size for swaps! Biggest log book I've seen so far haha
Grabbed a Smurf and left a character I thought was from 'Kung Fu Panda', but turns out it's not... Anyone recongise the character in my photo??

We had a clear afternoon so headed down from Brisbane to find a couple of caches and enjoy the bush. The car park was quite busy, and we took the opportunity to sit at the tables and eat the lunch we had bought at Boonah. During the time it took to make a hamburger disappear, a few of the bush walkers had left. With lunch done it was off to Logan’s lookout.
The lookout itself was spectacular. Great view with very little effort to get here (which the kids appreciated). We did have the lookout to ourselves, so off to find the cache we went. It didn’t take long. I had approached from the spot where I had taken an altitude reading, and I was stuck at a set of burnt out trees (which I can now see from previous logs was not the right spot). The kids however approached from the lookout structure and spotted something on the way.
Yes, we had the geocache, with an aged notebook, still in great condition. We had a read of some previous logs, and spotted some familiar names.
After signing, the logbook was replaced and we were off to check out other vantage points.
Thanks Brother a Colin for bringing us here. Cheers

I don't know when I was last at Mount French. However, I don't remember what the view was like, and know it was before 2012, judging by my lack of having found this geocache. I'd had a busy Saturday and I refused to let Sunday pass me by, so decided to get in my car and drive.. somewhere. After I drove past Tamborine and through Beaudesert, I ended up in Dugandan. With a DNF there, I realised I was on the road to Mount French. Yeah ok, let's go for a look there. Even has geocache!
Not remembering visiting the mountain means I don't recall the drive up either. It's nice to just vaguely follow the line on the app and the signs interspersed along the way. I do like a drive up a mountain and I was surprised how quickly I arrived at the carpark. A deserted carpark. Well, all but one family who looked to be taking off shoes after a walk and getting back in the car.
Alright, got the walk to myself, so I set off. And I am thankful it was to be a short walk as it was dang hot out! Like insta-sweaty hot! But it was an enjoyable walk and the lookout came into view.
Onto the geocache and I followed my phone which took me into a seemingly random patch of burned bush. I checked the hint and still was standing in the same place, unsure. A quick check of the logs had me put my phone in my pocket and I spotted something likely a few metres away. That made me feel blind as it was clearly the geocache.
So I sat down with the handsome geocache and had my way with the logbook. At this moment the muggles I thought were leaving, arrived. Walking down the track just a few metres away. Somehow though, they ignored or didn't see me.
When they got to the lookout, I could sneak the geocache back away, seeing when they weren't looking my direction. And not wanting to join them, I went for a wee jaunt down the footpad to the side, which made for nice views.
Eventually I looped back to enjoy the lookout and pick out which town was which down below. It really is a brilliant spot, with wonderful views, especially considering how easy it is to get to. What a nice adventure on my happy-go-lucky solo-roadtrip. Thanks for bringing me back, Brother Colin

Out and about today with some muggle friends. After enjoying the view I tried to slip away and make a search. I was soon joined by my friends and after wandering around a bit we finally located the cache. It would have been quicker if I used my eyes instead of the phone app!
Log signed and cache returned. A great cache in a stunning location.
Thanks Brother Colin and for the back story as well.

A quick find on a beautiful clear sunny day. Off to see the lookout now. Another of serious rock climbers coming back from their morning climb. TFTC
Great views up here overlooking our new property, dropped by after an overnight hike a little further afield to take in the scenery. Last week when I was up here all I could see were clouds. TFTC
On a trip to Beaudesert to drop the kids back home we decided that after breaching the border we’d take a slight detour before returning home. Mt French was the target. Plenty busy enough up here today too.
After finding the other nearby cache we walked on over to the lookout and took a few photos. The kids were quite amazed at the view – I don’t think they imagined we were quite as high up as we were. After a few minutes of checking out the sites we headed for the cache which was found quite quickly. Loved finding an ammo can – they’re rare as hen’s teeth these days. Everything is well with the cache. So glad there’s a couple of caches up here to showcase a wonderful area.
Thanks Brother Colin!

I was last up here over 9 years ago finding the nearby cache. The view is still just as stunning. Thanks Colin for bringing me back.
Great spot with some fantastic views. Plenty of empty tents around so presumably lots of climbers out - but we had the lookout to ourselves and spent some time enjoying the views - thanks!
Last weekend I was down in Melbourne for the mega with my geowife and we signed the logs for a whole lot of challenges. One of them required 25 campfire attributes and, wouldn't you know it, I only had 24. So I did a search to find out where some caches were with campfire attributes. This was one of them and I was heading to Lake Maroon this morning for a paddle so I decided to come and find this one on my way. It is a beautiful morning and the views up here are amazing. I left a trackable.
Thanks for the cache Brother Colin. This was find #3778. Please discover my trackable: MMGJ6B

After a long drought (Geocaching drought, not the sort of drought the Australian farmers are currently experiencing), we were finally out and about again on a kid-free hiking day on this local (Brisbane Ekka) public holiday.
Still took me quite a while to finally log it online though!
Really nice view up here. Great box too. TFTC!

Visiting Boonah for the weekend. Lived here many many years ago! Visited this lookout long before Geocaching existed. Found and signed the log before moving to the lookout to see the great views. TFTC BC
Geohubby had to rescue me from the spider webs but worth it! Great cache thank you!
This is my last day on the road returning from the OZ Geomuster over Easter.
Today I have visited more of my own caches that needed a little maintenance than making cache finds. I have got to be responsible every now and then.
I dropped of a TB. Otherwise all is good here.

A great visit to Logan's Lookout happened on a delightful warm sunny day. I just love this weather. Some warmth, beautiful sunshine and no humidity. To my mind the perfect day for the walk to the lookout. To be honest the geocache brought us here and we found it in it's well hidden location and thankfully signed the log. Thanks Brother Colin, and must say love the photo of you on the cache page .

It was a lovely cool walk after a very summer type winter's day. Once at GZ the cache was spotted and then over to the lookout to appreciate the view even though it is a bit hazy today. Thanks BC.
Dora the Explorer! and I were completing a few caches in this area after earlier in the day climbing Mt Greville and grabbing the cache that the mountain is protecting.
