Have been wanting to come up here for quite some time so today is the day for a bit of a walk and some fresh Spring air. Had no troubles finding this one and the plaque TFTC drawp
No tool required. Signed log then found I was stuck. Stood on nail on wood. Thankfully ok. Turned wood upside down.
Whoops bit back to front found #4 then this one. Were to busy chatting and enjoying the evening sun!! Tftc!
Signed both log books that were in the cache. One had been left at the bottom and whoever put the replacement log in could not get to the original. TFTC
Found on a loop of the skyline park.
Extremely overgrown, took out one of the dead broom bushes covering it. Cache may not be functioning as intended as the tool was already attached. And the intended tool (I suspect) had succumbed to water and oxygen.
Neat wee cache tho, nice and unique

Day 7 - of our epic adventure around amazing Oamaru. With Geofest17 and Danseys Pass and A2O bagged, we are off exploring Oamaru again. These feet are made for walking - so lets checkout this awesome Skyline Walkway.
I do not approve of caches that require us to climb over fences. There were other options here and we are wrecking peoples property.
OK we need to go back to the plaque to capture more info. Now on our way again.

Taybeedragon and I are here, on the Skyline Trail, primarily for just one reason: The final provides the missing D/T for the dragon to qualify for a local challenge. But let's face it, the trail is a great walk above Oamaru, with a number of wonderful little spaces scattered throughout.
Another wander over the farm to the fence line yonder. Not quite where we expected the cache to be - but that's okay, we found it. Wandered on to the next, then discovered that some of the caches had more than one component of the final. So back we came, to separate the sheep from the plaque and collect the missing info. And then back to the next cache. Again.

I was a wee bit rainy today, but we carried on to finish the the holiday on a high. A nice quick find. Cheers.
Time for some final caches around Oamaru, and then cruise on home, with Kiwi Moose. Signed the logs K2MR for brevity. Thanks to the CO's for the Caches.

Out and about with Karma Reprint this weekend, it was time to claim the Skyline walkway. Hosing down most of the way and the southerly blowing, it possibly wasn't the best weather but the occasional view when the clouds parted made it worthwhile. Glad to have read the description and get the J number. Cheers
Enough cachers had been through this area during the geofest to find the appropriate equipment easily enough. This cache has earnt itself a nickname that I daren't repeat. Clue... the t-m--n Tftc
In town with Jag50 and Aiden29 - for the Labour Weekend Geofest.
We stomped around a fair bit checking out all the likely spots, before Mr Jag50 hit upon the correct one & retrieved the appropriate tool

Joined up with Aiden29 and BertieB to head south for the Geofest in Oamaru. We arrived a day early and decided to tackle this series today. At GZ we spread out and it wasn't long before Mr JAG50 had the cache in hand.
First day down in Oamaru for the Geofest with Bertie Blowfish and Jag50. As the weather was so nice we headed out to tackle the Skyline walk. We all spread out and after a short search Mr Jag made the find and extracted the cache with the tool.
Heading towards the Oamaru Geofest.
I crossed the great Waitaki and began caching in earnest, wending my way towards the Challenge Caches.
Challenges complete with time now to head up onto the ridge for a few more.
My second Skyline cache. It had me scratching my head on what I was supposed to do for a while. Firstly I took the tool to the plaque but there wasn't anything there to find. Noted the answer and returned to GZ and eventually found the cache.

We were over in Oamaru having a committee meeting yesterday. It was a long productive meeting. No park and grabs due to the Camper breaks being stuffed. The rain is bearable at the moment.
An interesting cache. Luckily BBear had the right tools.
Find out more about New Zealand's next big event [Oamaru Geofest](http://oamarugeofest2017.wixsite.com/geocachingevent)
Thanks. drawp for putting in the effort to hide this geocache. This was find 4706 for me.

Before heading back to chch after our geofest meeting yesterday thought we (nosynel and i) better get a few caches, although it was raining it was bearable. This was cool. Didn't like the big spider hiding in this one. Cheers for the smile.
Travelling around the South Island.
Looking at our wonderful home land.
Weather has been improving every day. Wonderful to travel.
Done a few of these before so able to get easily

Visiting Oamaru for a wee family 'long weekend' holiday.
Mrs TG out for a wee morning run...and generously stopped along the way for a cache or two... ...Her turning point to head back. Need to pack and time to head home via Waimate! Woohoo...cheers.
I think we'll have to return to Oamaru...so much to see and do in the area. Cheers!

#12474. An excellent hide that took a bit of brain power to extract the cache from. TFTC.
After finding half a dozen caches in the morning, it was time to head back to the motel for a warming cuppa and something to eat to sustain us for the rest of the day. Because the weather was so good (apart from being a tad chilly), we decided to tackle most of the caches around the sky line trail - which turned out to be more energetic than anticipated.
We found a fence between us and our prize so StreetWalker hurdled it and soon found the cache. Hmmm, how to access the cache? No sign of the plaque (note to self, always read the hint), so needed an alternative way. After a bit of fiddling and faddling, he soon had the cache in hand. Unfortunately, we didn't realise that we needed to get a number from the log book as well as the info on the plaque. Darn. Thanks for the effort with this hide. TFTC.

Showed a few friends the mystery of geocaching, the skyline Walkway was perfect for that! Cool Caches, nice view over Oamaru!

Really well made cache. We couldn't find any tool, so I did some some McGuivering, got the cache and hopefully put it back together properly :-p
When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. That is how we got this cache. The tool wasn't at location. And it wasn't until afterwards that we seen our mistake of retrieval. It hasn't been found in 11 months and last log said about co going to fix it? Tftc
Nicely hidden but quickly found on our New Years Eve raid. Nifty, and gets a fav from us. TFTC

Found during nice windy afternoon before rainy evening. This is very nice made cache. It was little bit difficult to took out the cache from the place, but after a few minutes I finally succeded.

Have never see one like this before - so clever! And very grateful for the handy hint, we love you drawp.
This was really really cool - I think our muggle companions were a bit surprised and started appreciating the work that good catchers put into their caches [^] TFTC!!!
Great cache, I have heard about these before, never found one. Didn't find the special tool but got cache anyway. TFTC.
After number 2 was this an easy found. Only to get the cache out needs a little bit time, but go yourself and explore.

A bit of McGuyvering and it yielded. Appreciate the extra effort with the container. One left. Hmmmmm.
Thanks for placing this cache!

An interesting variation on a similar type of cache. It was a quick find, and straightforward retrieval with the equipment kindly provided by the cache owner. Another favourite in this series. TFTC
Decided to go down to Dunedin to attended the first ever Mega in New Zealand and my first ever MEGA. Managed to work it out so that I was able to team up with -gonefishing-, fozzmiester and agcnz on an 9 day caching trip around the South Island, this was day 7 of the road trip. Today we were making our way form Oamaru to Timaru for the night and picking up a few caches on our way and it was another beautiful fine day.
After finding GC3R56G - Skyline Walkway #4 (North Otago), this was the next cache that we had on our list to find today. The walk to GZ didnt take too long as we now were at the top and as we neared GZ, reading the description and the hint. As we neared GZ, our GPSr started pointing us to a spot that looked promising and we soon spotted something that required a closer inspection, and we soon realised that it was the cache.
Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and then replaced the cache back where I found it. Thanks drawp for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (5227). Another quick and easy find here today, glad that we managed to find it quickly, can just imagine the frustration that a cache like this can cause. Also managed to gather the extra information at GZ for the bonus cache.
Now how far is the next cache, oh yes just over there, this is 4 of 15 caches to find up here .

Another hide which I had seen before albeit with a twist. Thanks for the cache drawp.
Found as part of an epic NZ Mega Event trip. Day 7 - Oamaru and surrounds before heading North to Timaru in the company of agcnz, -gonefishing- and Yeetrees. Thanks to the owners of the 500 + caches which I had the pleasure to find along the way and which contributed to a very fun trip.

Found on the great post-Mega roadtrip with agcnz, fozzmiester and yeetrees. A great trip from Otago to Wellington, taking in many backroads and some fantastic scenery along to way to over 400 caches. Thanks to all the cache owners for the great caches we found on the way.
Seen a few of these hides now, so didn't take long to get the log in hand.
Thanks for the cache, drawp.

Came here with fozzmiester, -gonefishing- and Yeetrees on a fine morning after staying the night in Oamaru. We had all left our caching kits back in the car at the start and after a couple of unsuccessful attempts at accessing the logbook fozzmiester and I did a quick hike back to procure some more advanced technology. Once back at the cache site, the rest was quick, we could have used any of three methods to get to the logbook. Signed log, TFTC and for the little challenge and it gets a favourite point!
Took a bit ofblooking for the special tool but got it in th end, Then the cache was nice and easy after that.TFTC and the effort gone into it. Cheers Bo
Eventually found the cache and then set out for the tool. Found the plaque but not the tool so after a bit of thought I realised I had a very useful tool in my bag and voila! the log was revealed.
