Our middle geokid and I are heading away for a few nights camping. Tonight, we plan to camp at Lake Cargelligo before heading up to Lightning Ridge and then meeting up with the Father in Law at Carinda. A warm day on the road, but after all the rain yesterday, lots of wildlife was spotted. Turtles (we saved one from the middle of the road) snakes and lots of different types of lizards. A nice view from here, lots of turtles on the road. TFTC!
Unlike the one nearby, this one had views, an intact container and logbook that was signable. TFTC.
On the way home from 2 weeks away at Cliffhanger 4wd Event and the clutch on the truck gave up the ghost, si what do you do when you are broken down 1000km from home? Get a hire car and go do some cachesNice easy find tftc

A bit of a tricky corner to park the car, but once I took it offroad I could even drive to 4 meters from the cache.

Luckily Webguy had this one in the gps, thought we would stop in to have a look even though it no longer showed on the map. Found cache, it does have a little bit of damage to the cache container, but no troubles locating this one (although I did unnecessarily startle TW when I saw the dreaded prickles sticking to his pants legs!)
### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###

Hi there hoogs,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue with the placement. The cache has been temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers don't have a crystal ball, so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, or you have been in hospital, or the area is in flood, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when a Reviewer next looks at the cache page, it is likely that they will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD)

Found at 2:52 PM GAFF1 in the company of DiMorgan.
We managed to drive within 10 metres of the cache and the cracked and broken container straight away due to excellent co-ords. We then took in the view down the valley - just wonderful!
Thanks hoogs.

Picked up Roostaman and headed west of Wagga to clean up yet another area close to home.
A good variety of hides were found, and all in good condition.
Thanks to all the CO's - we had a good day out.
Many thanks for placing this cache, hoogs, for us and others to find.

Decided to continue out to this and the next cache despite the threatening weather. Had to hunt around a bit for this one, but turned it up eventually. Container is feeling fragile so handle with care.

With a RDO and nice weather, as well as a possible FTF I decided on making the trip out to Narrandera via some back roads to collect some caches that I hadn’t found yet. I attempted 5 caches and collected 5 to add to my total. My first cache of the day was located at Berembed Weir. I have been looking for many months to find the entry point to this cache and after failing to find it while at home, I decided that I should just go out there to find the way in. This ended up being the better way of doing it. The entry point coordinates are S34 50.307 E146 50.610. After finding the camping area, I parked the car and headed in to find the cache. When I arrived at GZ, I was greeted with a cache container in great shape. I also discovered that this cache was 2.5 years unloved and I also took quite a few photos as well. Now time to head to lunch, which ended up being Subway. TFTC! After lunch I attempted to collect the FTF. Umm… ok, I know where it is hiding but I felt very uncomfortable with the location. Timing was everything but I think someone spotted me as a few cop cars drove past as I was sign the log sheet up the road. Yes, it was a FTF as Nibletricecakes was there at time of placing. I wasn’t going to sign it at GZ in case I did get spotted out. I returned and replaced the cache and again timing was everything. I left GZ, in a hurry with this question on my mind, ‘how long is it going to last? TFTC and now onto the three cache along the trip home. The first of these three was ‘coolah view’ which was a nice quick find at GZ. This one was must have been placed before the rule change as it was a glass jar instead of a plastic container. TFTC and onto the second of three caches. This next one was called ‘mejum view’. Another nice quick find here and TFTC. Now onto my last find of the day. ‘Dam Car’ Yes there is a dam and there also is a car. This car has seen better days but as for the cache it was a quick find in a clever spot to hide a cache. Now time to head home. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found and for allowing them to bring joy to me and the rest of the caching community! TFTC’s
Found during an epic long weekend of quality caching around the Riverina with fitzy_1965. Lots of km's covered including some fun wheeling in the beautiful countryside meant for a thoroughly enjoyable trip
Pulled the geounit at a spot nearby and then made our way over to make the easy find. fitzy saw it as he was crossing the road!
Thanks for the hide, hoogs

Day 2 of our trip trying to go for crossing off previous DNFs and for harder/longer to get caches deep in forests and reserves. This was a quick find and sign of the cache. Only 20m off the road and 23 months unloved !!?
Thanks hoogs !!

Another cache i found this morning with views almost too good for words. Parking was certainly a challenge though on this bend but the cache was found quickly so i didn't have to stay here for long ( which was a shame! ) tftc
Nice find had to leave it till the next day as when I found it every car would drive past.
Loved the view over the Mejum plains which was the side on which I found a small space to safely park. A quick grab and continue as I was still rather sodden from my previous escapade TFTC hoogs
A bit tricky to pull off the road anywhere near GZ these days
So I parked a couple of hundred metres away and strolled in.
And after the stroll I enjoyed the views, and a cache find too [^]

Quick drive out of town to grab this and the Lake Coolah cache. Great view from this one to the large woolshed. Left a lucky Chinese Feng Shui coin. TFTC. 2BluFish

[:(!] Went for a morning caching run and this was one of them, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was located and it was in hand in a matter of minutes.

A nicely hidden cache with attractive views of the surrounding farmland. Thanks hoogs.
2908. I headed here after Coolah view and soon found a suitable parking spot. A short stroll later and the cache was in hand. I noticed the COs maintenance log in the log book. May be a ride to "Creek travel stop" and GZ for "Great Outdoors" could be the go too.

Found on what seems like is becoming a regular road trip between Gold Coast and Tocumwal. We headed South to visit family for Christmas, being my Daughter and her new Daughter (my Grand Daughter) Sienna. The trip was done over two days, staying overnight in Coonabarabran. Six kids and two cars, visited and found 19 caches on the way down. Some very hot weather on the second day, with the thermometer topping 43°C about midway through the second day, hot weather for caching. Thanks to all cache owners for hiding and maintaining their caches.

Parking was a bit treacherous on the corner, but with the 4WD, was able to get sufficiently off the road. A bit of a look about and located the cache. Good spot. TFTC and the detour to a few caches here.

South Australia 2013 with Sol de Lune. We headed off on 12/4 and arrived home on 28/4. The trip was to visit the SA series so more time could be spent at the Mega itself next year. We did a huge variety of caching around Murray Bridge, the Mid North, Yorke Peninsula and Whyalla Region. Apart from one wet night and two wet days we were able to spend heaps of time caching.
After dinner in Narandera we decided to detour to these two views. With a close encounter with a kangaroo behind us, we soon uncovered this one in the dark.
Thanks.

Found with albida on way through to South Australia. It was about 8.30pm when we arrived and finding it in the dark was a bit of fun. I think the poor kangaroo wasn't very impressed though.
No view at this time of day unfortunately, but thanks for the cache.

Damn phone app uploaded a blank log, sorry about that! Another stop on a quick trip to Wagga... running short of time, and there were too many places to look, although I probably missed something obvious! Had to get going, so left this for another day.

Out Sunday driving, as you do on a looong weekend. Went specifically to see the water and in hope that there would be some bird life. Water - one, birds - nil.
That said, there were lovely thornbills near the cache so the visit wasn't completely geocaching only.
Thanks for taking me out to such a lovely place.

Thanks for taking me out to such a lovely place.
This place (Lake Mejum) was planned to be an on-route storage for excess Murrumbidgee flows over 30 years ago. High cost of getting water here plus the obvious environmental hurdles has placed it on the back burners of state government. I was involved with investigations into the Lake's wider potential for water holding. Lovely place - glad it was left untouched. Anyway, the cache - a good snake hide but fortunately none at home today. A nasty smell of decaying flesh worried me. Was it the previous cacher?? Thanks Hooges - havn't been here for yonks.
2347 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1630.Thought last night a casual drive to Griffith could be on the agenda for today. We had been to Ardlethan so needed to find a short cut from the Newell to here.Found a dirt track and jagged it to this location without going many k's out of our way.We did some bird watching here as there were 3 different raptors on the wing using the updrafts from the hills. The Wedge Tailed Eagle was just great to see soaring on the wind.SL Tnx hoogs.
Christmas holidays, not working, family catchups long overdue, food enough for a small country, summer weather .... and seventy found caches. What a perfect week.
Afternoon boxing day run to clear my Narrandera section of the map ... with Mrs Prime and the Prime mum onboard we headed off to and from Grong Grong. Gorgeous views up here. Been in the area before as I have a cousin lives out here somewhere - not sure exactly where now, but I've been past here some years ago. As for the cache ... well, not so easy to find. Awesome hide hoogs. GPSr bounced around a bit, but in the end it was pointing mostly at the right spot, but it wasn't easy for me to put my hand on it. I looked and looked and looked, widened my search (to about 30m at one point, almost decided to cross the road even), still nothing.
Hmmmm.
Still pointing consistently back to the one set of spots, so another better look, and a last better .... oh, wait, what's that? There it is clever little thing you. Good work.
Thanks for placing this cache, hoogs. Found in good condition.

We were talking to an elderly local before coming out here this morning, he was saying he has never seen any water in these lakes before and as history says, he said there hasn't been any water in them for 60 - 100 years.
Very privillaged to see so much water in the three lakes.
Found the cache easily enough, the hardest part was finding a safe place to pull off the road and park.
