First find on my walk through the area. Looked around GZ but couldn't spot it, but after a couple of logs, went and checked a bit further afield. Cache was found as per the hint, just a few metres, but with the tree cover in the area I think it's ok. Log was signed, cache replaced and I was off for the next one. Thanks for the cache stashaa...
Thank you, this is our 32 Anniversary run. Aiming to get 32 caches today to celebrate 14/32
Came back for another try determined not to be beaten. Found it!! As it turned out it/I was just a little stump-ed!! Found approx 12 metres from GZ.
With a group of school children on an excursion not far behind us, I was on a mission to locate this cache swiftly. The GPS coordinates proved unhelpful, leading me to an open area, so I relied on the provided hint. Tangentgoat, who had found this cache before, stepped back to allow me to search. As the sound of approaching school children grew uncomfortably close, TangentGoat provided hints that narrowed down the search area. The cache was eventually discovered, signed, and discreetly returned to its original spot. The log book inside the cache is quite soaked and will likely need a replacement soon, but I managed to jot down my find. Thanks for the cache!
Oh my goodness, I am embarrassed at how long this took me to find! My gps was sending my on a wild goose chase so I put the cords into my sisters phone as well. Nope, still nothing. Decided to follow the hint instead but that still had us hunting for over half an hour. We decided we'd do one last sweep before giving up and sure enough it was exactly where we had looked in the first place. The spider webs made this a super exciting hunt as I'm convinced that everywhere you turned you'd get a face full, made for lots of laughs on the hunt! The log needs a bit of love, it's pretty damp but still signable. Thanks for getting me out into such a lovely area!
Again I found myself moping about at home trying to decide which boring chore I should tackle next. Instead I browsed through the geocache website and made a decision to tackle the 28 day streak, this months challenge souvenir. So it looks like I will have plenty of caching trips away over the next few weeks. I had so much fun on a recent trip to Mt Beckworth and another to do feathertops letterbox series that I decided to head down this way again. With no particular targets in mind I simply tackled the first I came across.
What a beautiful spot! The geopooch met a friend here and they enjoyed running between the trees, just as well because the gps was enjoying a wander too. To add to the fun there are some newly fallen trees just to add to the possibilities.

Out caching with glanvilegirls and wozzle68. Found it eventually. Found at 7 May 2023 2:36 pm.

Thanks for bringing us here! First time up here and we really enjoyed the walks!
Found with the help of previous geocachers. Log book is very wet. Did our best to sign. Thanks
Finally found it by the old fallen tree with Algaes god eye balls, hidden under lots of leaves.
Having a few days of caching around the Ballarat and Creswick areas. I seem to have forgotten to consult the weather gods as its damp and drizzly and super cold. I’m well rugged up and having a great time. Phone all over the place here. The hint wasn’t helping me. I used the variation coordinates provided by pacman. This sent me to an area I’d not been near. Beautiful area and so glad i discovered that but the frustration of not getting any idea of really where to search was disappointing Thanks stashaa
Great little spot. Took a bit due to the GPS being all over the place, but very happy when we finally located it. TFTC!
Found it thanks to the comments. We found that our gps coords were a bit jumpy, so had to widen our search area

Out for the day with the Jackos exploring the Creswick area.
These forests are what we came here for - and this little La'Gerche wonderland was one of the highlights!
This one took us 10 minutes to find. Almost a DNF, until we read enough of the old logs and, combined with the hint, finally had the logbook signed.
Thanks stashaa.

Some places just need to be revisited.
An area too special not to come back to again and again, with the kids. Loads of leaves to play in, tree houses, easy walks.
Today took a lot of searching, but previous logs helped. In the end I was so close to it. If you're wondering, find the big, dead tree. Close to the roots, is a small stump under a bush. There you'll find the cache.
Now to come back in Autumn when this place is at its best. A FP from me.

Last time here a year ago - I searched for a long time looking for this one, this time, went straight to it! Funny how that happens sometimes!
We took the hard was in and then found the track. The cache took a bit of searching but we found it in the end. The trees here are magnificent.
Had a good look where it seemed most likely but to no avail. Lovely spot! I’ll have to come back!
Could not the last time someone found was a while ago so we think it is gone there a lots of Fallen trees but no stumps lovely area though️
Such a beautiful spot. Stop back at the fence and park up. Walk the track and enjoy the tranquility. Thank you so much for bringing us here. I wish we could stay all day
Found while on a caching adventure with Wildfam and Barnes86 for my birthday.
What a gorgeous spot
Thanks for bringing us in here Stasha it’s a pleasure to wander into this little grove.
Cache is in great condition just a bit away from the posted coords

On such a lovely evening we were in the area after the youngest team members activities and thought we could make use of the fading light so decided on a lovely drive through the forest to see if we could add some smiles, thanks for bringing us to such a lovely area, log retrieved, signed and replaced as found, thanks for the cache and the fun
With a stupid o'clock start for a flash mob in Geelong, Ausfox;, Neville_devil and myself headed Ballarat and Creswick way in search of as many Regular size caches as we could find for the day. The things you do for challenge caches [:o].
Our last find in this part of the forest. Lucky for us to be here at this time of year as the Autumn colours are really quite something.
This one did take is some time to locate wit our GSP being a little cantankerous. In the end we used the coords post from Riddell which made life a little easier.
Thank you stashaa for brining us to this lovely spot

I joined up with Simsfamily and Neville Devil after a 3am flash mob in Geelong and made our way to Creswick to search out regular size caches and others in between.
Another stunning location, especially as all the leaves have fallen. the search for the cache took sometime as we wandered around in circles.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache Stashaa

Find #1719 for me. Found with jtnsilo at 1pm on a geocaching trip from Bendigo. Like the Oak Gully #1 location, this was another beautiful area with a blanket of autumn leaves covering the forest floor. The GPS signal got us nicely to GZ with the hint leading to a quick find for us here today. We also noticed an interesting teepee construction nearby, though who built it remains a mystery. Maybe there are some locals who often camp out here? Thanks for bringing us to this stunning location today stashaa and thanks for the cache!
Found@1301 with Claybol on a caching day to Creswick and surrounds. Thanks for the opportunity to visit this forest.
Found after a long wide search. 14m out.
In the end saw the cache before the stump!
Stump is hidden under some vegetation next to the big fallen tree.

While I was on a break at work, I was reading your cache page. Hmm, this sounds like a good one. So when it was finally knock off time, I was on my way to Gz. As I stepped off Sawpit Rd into the forest, I was in awe of it's beauty. As there was so much tree cover, I had to have a look at the hint to find your cache. Cigc. Tftc. A Fp from me for location.
DAB and I had planned a day out caching around the Ballarat / Creswick area. We met early with our geo wheels packed with snacks and plenty of drinks on board and set off to enjoy another brilliant, fun day, exploring new areas. This one took us ages to find. The GPSr settled in one location but we could not find the hint in sight. We spread out in this very strange but beautiful location and came up empty. We were going to call it quits when I tried one last spot and there it was. GPSr had us 10m out. Stamped and returned as found.

Today was the day for another road trip up from Geelong. This morning I was in the company of Na'wal, a very welcome team member indeed. With a bunch of puzzles solved, it was time to collect some smiley faces. We found a great mix of hides, trads, some mysteries and a letterbox as well. We were spoilt with the weather as well, it was a cracker of a day !! Thanks to all of the CO's for some great hides and some brain busting puzzles.
GPSr had us about 10 metres out today. TFTC stashaa

needs a second visit. As with the Oak Gully cache, the clue didn't seem to fit the gps location
Logged as NicNax 2. Out with SciFiRulz for a days caching, PerpetuallyLost said it all. Stunning area, so quiet you could hear a pin drop. At one stage I imagined fairies dancing among the leaves. It was just so nice to spend a few hours here. Thank you so much for bringing us along this walk. Fav Pt TFTC
Found as Nicnax with MazzyMay. Lovely area to visit, wouldn't mind coming back in warmer weather for another look. Took a photo of the statue of La'Gerche. TFTC
We often write about certain areas we find when geocaching as being 'hidden gems' or 'surprises in our own backyards' etc sometimes almost using these phrases as clichés. But upon stepping into the start of this walking trail and being greeted with the endless carpet of oak leaves and magnificent canopy of mature trees, these phrases become just the tip of the iceberg in how to describe this place! It beggars belief that there is no advertising of this place as a tourist destination for nature lovers, i took one glance and felt transported across to the other side of the world to the forests of Europe or North America! To say i was absolutely stunned was an understatement!
I also had some trouble with the gps here and it took some considerable time to eventually locate this sneaky cache, even with the hint i almost walked away with my first DNF of the day before i found the other half of your clue you referred to.
Well done Stashaa, a favorite point well and truly earned for both the hide and for bringing me to this beautiful area, a highlight of my caching year so far!

I was sorry i did not bring my camera for this cache because the colours were brilliant. The thing that wasn't so brilliant was using the phone under all this tree cover. Following the arrow up then down, across then back was really getting to me so decided to read the hint. Well that narrows it down a bit. Still took some time because said location is very well covered now with the autumn growth.
Thanks for bringing us here to this wonderful place stashaa

Out and about in the area today photographing the autumn colour in the area and we took some time to look for this one. Almost a dnf. It was tucked away nicely. Thanks for placing.

With the GPS jumping around a bit, we found the cache using the hint. Gee there has been a lot of water through here recently. A very pretty spot even if there was a lot of mozzies today. Thanks stashaa.
Again the GPS was not settling very well, a quick search around and the cache was spotted. A lovely spot to be out and about, bush is looking great. Thanks stashaa.
Thanks for bringing us to this beautiful spot stasha! Tftc. Up this way in a day trip from Melbourne.
This is a wonderful area to visit. The oak trees have created a carpet of oak leaves on the ground and it was very relaxing walking through them. We later learnt why these European trees had been planted in Australian bush - most interesting story. Both our GPS units agreed on the location of this cache and this was supported by the hint. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks stashaa for a very enjoyable cache in a wonderful area.
3:33:00 PM. A nice area and a quick find this time. I am sure some of the walkers wondered what we were up to as they passed us only to pass us again when we were parked in a different spot. Log signed. Thanks stashaa for placing this cache.
The Suscoes were in Ballarat for a few days and some caching was one the list.
It was a delightful day for caching with clear skies and a breeze to keep things pleasant.
This was our 16th find for the day.
Thanks to stashaa for showing us this spot.
A most enjoyable drive and walk.
What a terrific little valley.

TFTC A few quick grabs while in Creswick. Really nice spot in here. Never knew all this existed.
Having been previously been muggled out of this one by a large dog and been sent in totally the wrong direction by my GPS, today, while again walking the track, I decided to nick in for one more look. Not having the erratic and confusing gadget with me, I decided to rely on geocaching logic and cunning. And blow me down if it didn't pay off immediately with a quick find. Mercifully, that one's now out of the way. Many thanks for the diversion, stashaa.
Wow what a great spot this one talk over half an hour the GPS was all over the place got clue but still it took time I knew if I persisted I would get it and really wanted to to give it a favourite Pont
Staying a few days in Creswick on our tour of Australia.
Headed out today to explore the local area.
Mr Felix made the walk from the 4xr4 track for this one. Anyways after a lengthy time and a 4xr4 going past, and several muggles walking past Mrs Felix finally set off to seek if he was okay!!!!
Bleh... mutter ... mutter if you can find it so be itttt............... Well Mrs Felix read the hint and went what about here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sure enough there was the cache. Not a happy Mr Felix,, but a VERY happy Mrs Felix...............

An absolutely beautiful spot with the autumn oak leaves forming a great natural carpet. The coordinates seemed to be a bit out on this one but the hint finally guided us home with Al extracting the stash at 14:00.

Spectacular spot, much different from the area we had been walking through, and all the more impressive since it was unexpected as we found our way through the bush down the hill to get there. Found the cache at 2pm after searching around for a bit.

Out for a mornings caching with master 4 to grab those that remain as unfound in the Creswick area. After having a DNF last time today we were back to get a smilie. It was a simple find today (why does that always happen)? It really is such a gorgeous area here, especially in winter. Uploading lots of pics and giving this beautiful location a fav point. Many thanks
wow! what a place especially on an Autumn day where the leaves are carpeting the ground and the sunlight is dappled through the trees.
only problem is the fall of leaves does make some of the caches a bit harder to find so thanks for the hint.

Eventually found this much tougher cache. Very well hidden. Many fallen trees. Kids had given up. Lovely area though. Thanks.
A fabulous walk among beautiful trees on a lovely afternoon. I couldn't have asked for a better end to my day. The clue made the find much easier.
Thanks stashaa

What a beautiful place and very peaceful. We found the cache after a bit of a search. Thanks stash for bringing us here. A favourite point.
Found it. 10m from GPS location. GPS a but off here I think. Look for the hint. Not hard to see.
What an absolutely beautiful forest, Bingami, Legweak65 & I just loved this walk & plan to come back in Autumn. Was just about to give up looking for this cache when spied GZ. TFTC
Headed out caching with sulkybear and our 2 geokids (age 3 & 5). Along for the ride was grandad and my nephews (age 6 & . No luck with this. Round and round in circles with the gps. Searched wide but alas it never showed itself. Beautiful spot though - we will be back!
Wow the gps did not want to play in this area. Took a lot of patience but we found it. Amazing area tftc.
