#8195Day 2 of our Northern/Western NSW Roadtrip.Dubbo -> Bourke via 4 missing LGAs.Another long, but not quite as long, driving day. Heading out of Dubbo, through Cobar then north to Bourke for the night, pretty much grabbing anything that isnt a 1.5/1.5, especially high DTs, but theyre sparse out here anyways Smile end of copy paste Quick easy find here and another for the Warren LGA! TNLN SLThanks for placing and maintaining this cache 12minimoo

#8195Back o Bourke Day 2! Dubbo->Bourke.Were on a road-trip chasing some LGAs we need between Coonamble and Kyogle, via Cobar and Bourke. The car is packed with TOTTs and snacks and we are prepared for long drives and short walks, hoping to gather the required LGAs without damaging our DT average in the process, all the while logging as many trigs as we could get to....Restroom? I would use other words to describe that place, I shouldn't use them here..... SmileThanks for the cache!

Day 4 of my tour of Central NSW. Hoping to chase some LGAs and other points of interest. Left Gilgandra and headed West with Bourke as the target for the end of the day. First stop was Nevertire where a slosh through the wet found this cache. Luckily it's a fine sunny day and the shoes will dry out. Next stop was just a quick pitstop but cache is not quite the way it should be. Log is still fine and dry though. Tftc

TFTC 12minimoo your cache Pit stop that we found today as we made our way south for Christmas. We left Nyngan this morning with a plan to stop at Cobar. But as often happens plans change and we continued towards Wilcannia stopping along the way until we reached McCullochs Rest for an overnight stop. All caches found relatively easily and good places to pull over with Motorhome and car in tow. Great to be able to stretch the legs every so often. We did a 60km round trip detour for this one . It was a new LGA for us. Cache was not hidden as expected on the pole but a look up to the other structure meant we had the cache in hand. Placed back where we found it.Find Count: 17260 .

Found cache and signed the log, however I am pretty sure hide is not as original placement. Camo has degraded and have seen this type before and it is missing a vital component to hide as it is meant to. TFTC

Caching with Oddiewan with the Cache Crusader in tow. Were picking up caches in new-to-us LGAs in outback QLD and NSW on a two-week holiday. Another on our LGA list, a nice quick find. crazy fly convention here, worst weve had since we took off from SEQ two weeks ago. Cache in good shape. Thanks for the fun, 12minimoo

Interesting story here, the local council workers here to fix the picnic shelter and table as a vehicle crashed through here 3 weeks ago wrecking the shelter and destroying the concrete water tank against the toilets and pushing in the toilet wall. The conrete tank shown in previous photo is removed and they are fixing the picnic shelter. Not sure if past caches signed log.

Thank you so much for placing this cache here so ‘conveniently’.
These places are few and far between on our long journey north to Longreach, and having caches like this one gives my travel companion icybeetas a good reason to stop and locate the cache.
No more unfound for me along this road till we reach Bourke.

We continued today our tour in NewSouthWales, AUS, and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.

The weather was - said in one word – simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood.

The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging.

Thanks to 12minimoo for the generation of this nice cache Pit stop (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.

PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they appeared.

Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood.

Today we are headed from Cobar and towards the coast. It’s a hot one and we will see where we end up!

It took a few minutes to find this one until I went outback and spotted the spider webs entangled the cache in the hole.

The loos were a welcome albeit a smelly relief.

Another new LGA for us!!!

What a year Sandyofthesea and I have had. We kitted out the Prado and took off from Perth, Western Australia at the start of April 2022 to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. We started with the Nullabour, Eyre and York Peninsulas, the Riverlands, visited family in Victoria and then back in SA it got cold. Flinders and the Oodnadatta Track was amazing and we finally warmed up in Dalhousie Springs. The Alice beckoned and then a change of plan and we ended up tackling the Tanami Track to the Kimberley and Bungles Bungles. Territory Day in Darwin was unhinged - please try and do it! The Gulf, the coast and the car breaker ‘Old Tele Track’ to the top of Cape York. This is a must but it’s not easy! Eventually made it to Brisbane to get some fixes to the car….. let’s see where we end up.

12minimoo, I found Pit stop today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Making our way home from QOGM 2022 to deal with an urgent issue, and attempting to avoid the predicted rain.

Stayed at Nyngan overnight. The paddocks and shoulders are very wet and it is difficult to pull up roadside with the caravan behind so we are very selective as too where we stop.

We needed a cache in this LGA, so was good to make a quick and dry find. Retrieval was interesting, placing back in its spot was easy.

Road trip Day Two: Coonabarabran to Adelaide.
As many LGAs as possible!
Halfway through the day we found out we had to be back in time for something the following afternoon, resulting in a very long day!

There are only four caches in this LGA, and all quick park and grabs. I’ve never had 100% of an LGA before, so let’s do this.

And here it is, four out of four. Not a glamorous spot for a special moment, but it is what it is, right?

Thanks for the cache 12minimoo.

We are trying to complete a challenge cache and need to find one between 770 and 780 kms from home. We’re pleased to have found this one, but it’s only 739.2 kms from home. We’re hoping the next few at Nyngan will do it for us.
Used the chop stick technique to retrieve this one.

Today it was time to move on, so we are headed for Bourke. A lovely day and it certainly got warmer as we headed north. There were quite a few caches to collect en route, all traditionals, but the day was broken up well and quite a casual trip.
Thank you to all the local COs for your efforts.

***COs- I am trying to catch up on a massive logging backlog, some of it going back a number of years.
I am logging this cache on the day I visited it, not the day I'm logging it on.***

??This trip is the....
Geo Tour launch-3rd attempt and LGA trip.
I wanted to do this trip in February but covid put a stop to that, the main problem being getting back home to Queensland without having to abandon the car somewhere and fly home into 2 weeks quarrantine.??

??this cache...

Popped out here for this one and signed the log, all good with the cache.

Found on a trip around inland NSW with FeatherWaite.

Our original intention was to attend the Mega event at Dayboro in Queensland, travelling up via Broken Hill, Bourke, Cunamulla and Toowoomba, then home via the NSW coast to Port Macquarie then on to Adelaide via central NSW. However, the Covid outbreak in Brisbane forced us to reconsider, particularly given that the Mega and associated events were within the area of concern and we may have had difficulty re-entering NSW to get home and then would have had to quarantine back in SA for 14 days.

The floods in the north and east of NSW also hampered our travel plans. But we were able to develop a new plan that took us on a very pleasant tour around country NSW, picking up some great caches along the way.

Thanks 12minimoo for the cache.
