Great HideThanks earthlight for the cacheJames0116Sunday, 11 Aug 20243:39:12PM ACST4720
Dident find this one, but I did find a corpse of a baby kangaroo and a leg that looks as though it was connected to the buried body of the babys mum. Not looking any further than that. We did go over the fence to see if it was in the brick wall but still nope. DNF.
We tried to escape the heat by exploring the hills. No, it was also hot here.We found this cache and signed the log.Tftc Earthlight
Found it but didnt enjoy the bit of road to get to it. Cars whizzing by and no footpaths
Finally made the effort to stop for this one (it's a bit of a windy road, you see) and found it after not too much looking, although the sour sobs didn't make it easy. I'm glad I didn't have to search in that spiny boxthorn bush!
Thanks for the cache, earthlight

Not so easy for us oldies, but Marlee126 managed the scramble to find it. TFTC
Logged it! Not easy to get to but easy find once there. Countryside looking very green atm.
Catching up with late logs.
A spur of the minute decision saw us change our mind and head to SA instead of home from Portland. We were targeting Earth Caches and Adventure Labs as it does not matter about muggles and most places are busy this time of year.
covid 19 was not good for much but lock down gave us plenty of time to solve some mysteries.
We were happy the near by nursery was not too busy and there was plenty of room to park. We then did the short walk to GZ where the cache was a nice easy find, just as the page said, and we happily added our name to the log.
Being from inter state it was not a good idea to visit the nursery as the plans may not have made the journey home so we just continued caching our way along.
many thanks earthlight for another cache for us to find..

Found!! Also picked up a lot of litter- I wish I brought a bag to get it all. Thanks for the cache
Another day, another walk, another cache. One needs to keep up the exercise in these days of isolation!
Surprising how many of these caches here are out in the open. Thanks for this cache earthlight. Had to double back to park safely.
A quick stop on the side of the road here, almost got cleaned up by a car. That was my fault.
On the way home from blanchetown to Afleidw this morning I made a detour through the hills
To collect some caches around: Eden Hills, Springton and Birdswood. A nice morning with the sun out. All the caches were easily found.

Found a nearby cache in the area, so drove a little but further to find this one. The container seemed to be fairly visible, so I've hidden better underneath the log. A bit of trash in the vicinity also, so have tried to trash out a few pieces, cheers.
Found It!
A quick find here after some questionable parking. One day I might finish this series...

A quick detour while walking around Anstey. Thanks for the cache.

Kangaroos everywhere! Took a shortcut across the nearby field, making the way down towards the road. Lots of fences to cross.
Eventually found the logical spot near the road, which doubles as a great location to sit and face off with the enormous kangaroos. Don't think I've ever seen a kangaroo that big before.
Straight forward find too. Thanks for the cache!

Sticking so far to my left ascending this roads' grade as to not get collected I was at times almost touching the guardrail [:o] GZ was reached, i parked the bike up and made my way over whilst there was a break in traffic. Beware of bees in the nearby gum tree here [:o] They never bothered me thankfully SL at 11:15 on Sat. 8 April, 2017, with no arachnid activity present either [^] The cache and contents are good and dry [^] TFTC earthlight
The cache notes hark back to better days
When the roads in the Adelaide hills were less traveled,
and it was safe to ride a bicycle along them
Today's motorists are more prolific,
manically impatient,
and don't give a damn about road rules or the safety of themselves or others
I still dared to ride down the hill today on me pushbike from Houghton
And of course an impatient motorist overtook me on a blind corner and almost collected a motorcyclist coming the other way [:o]
C'mon !! I was doing 55kp/h !!
With GZ in sight,
I exited stage left,
and safely out of the way of the traffic,
went for a stroll
The cache was soon found !!
So I could head back down,
to find the bike again
From here I did not have to brave the traffic again.
There is a nice walking, cycling trail,
that runs from the nursery all the way to Tea Tree Village [^]

Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi. On the way to work and made a quick detour to this one to make the find. Parked nearby and wandered over to GZ dodging the morning traffic and made a quick find. Sign log and replace. Wandered back to the car. Gratias pro cache.
Awesome stopping after a visit to the nursery, and not finding a mint tin

Had the chance to sneak up the road to find our daily cache after working near by. A quick find. TNLNSL. TFTC!!
Owl has been meaning to get back here after the last aborted attempt and she decided that she'd better get there before the soursobs grew again. A much easier climb this time and a dead easy find as the cache was in the open. It will be a different story in winter though.
Cache was still in place. Have however replaced and moved approx 1 Metre west. Due to rusty old container. Happy caching.
The cache guardian remains but the cache itself is gone.
Also, note that it's in a bit of a tricky location, what with the fast cars on the winding road. We came when Newman's was closed, which wasn't an awesome idea. Be safe, fellow cachers.

I panicked when I saw it's little friend and then realized it was actually what I was looking for!
Not so much a DNF as an aborted find. Owl walked the 200 metres from Newman's Nursery and even braved the unexpected climb through tall grass, then realised she was standing the wrong side of a fence in what was probably someone's property. Back on solid ground she was soaked to the knees, realising that she really did need to be up there. Then the heavens opened. By the time she was back at the car, completely drenched, she gave up any hope of caching and went home. If you are looking for a quick drive-by, this is not the cache for you, despite the ratings!
Camped at Mt Crawford Forest for a few days, on our travel around Oz co-inciding with attending the SA Oz Mega @ Murraybridge. We noticed that there was a Maker Madness Event within striking distance so the plan was hatched to attend today. We left the caravan at 0730hrs and returned after 5pm. [^]
Well we thoroughly enjoyed the tourist drive to get today. Some of the tricky parking was interesting in the landcruiser. Think the WA plates, helped us with other cars giving us space! [:o)] A beautiful scenic route on a glorious day had us passing close by to this cache so of course we had to stop
So many people out enjoying the sunshine, loads and loads of motorbike riders being a Sunday!
This was just a little different to what we had been expecting. Nice placement. A fave from us.

Tricky hide, took a while looking around thought the fire may have taken its toll. tftc
Believe cache is still there as Brisal5 mentioned finding the cache but not one previously lost there which he thought may have shown up after the fire.
Will check to make sure tomorrow.

Should have read the previous logs, the fire damage convinced me it was gone, I shall return.
My caching buddy mogni was in town and we both had some Christmas Shopping to do. So it was off to TTP only stopping for a few caches on the way.
We pulled up to see a fire had recently devistated GZ. Oh no. I remember hearing the CO had dropped a bison up here on placement so I thought it would at least be a chance to look for that! We looked through the soot and to my surprise found the cache still in tact with the cache guardian also intact but lying on the scorched earth. Log all safe. Had a look for the missing bison to no avail though. Replaced the guardian.
Don't let the scorched earth near GZ deter looking for this little beauty. Thanks earthlight.

In Adelaide for a Christmas catch-up with friends and do some caching.... Brisal5 took me on a slight detour to do some Christmas Shopping. Another in a great series. We were very surprised to find this one with the obvious fire damage at GZ.
Thanks
Thanks
Mr Tardis found a safe place to park then head a look in the wrong place. I then exanded my search area and found a sneaky little cache waiting to be found. Nine down and four more to go in this series.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache earthlight.
