We are from Switzerland...We do houssitting all over the world and this time we are back in Tasmania the second time ...We traveled around here 14 years ago...its nice to be back and this time even better with geocaching ..Today Nggi2 and I went out to make out of green ones yellow Smilies on this PTPT track. But we were not able to achieve our goal ,because many caches are missing..and the ones we found we had to search very long or we had to dig them out. We did 15750 steps in 5 hours and ended up with 5 DNF`s and luckily 10 Smilies ...and one write note because that cache needs a higher T ..so we tried a few metres up through the scrubs and gave in.But we enjoyed manly this lovely nature track the tiny thwarfland and the scenery and the fern trees . yea the big fat trees fascinated me very much special theyr roots and hight. We also spoted four Wallabys .Thank you for placing this Dsli (Dsli means little box in Swiss)oinkoinkJust to say to the cache owners of this PTPT track ..it is only fun when the caches are beeing looked after..even when there are no DNFs.. I`m a cache owner in Switzerland and I check my Caches all the time special after rainy days ...and in the forest as wild animals pinch them too sometimes. But thank you to the Cache owners that do look after theyr caches to keep the PTPT trail alive.Long search on wrong side
First one along our walk here along the pipeline track one DNF but got it this time!
Nice cheeky hide we were on the wrong side of the track! Just wandering to fern tree.

No idea what the different trees look like, but was where I expected it to be. TFTC
Bit of searching but found it. Nice level area. Helped to remember what the wattle tree trunk looked like.
A bit of a hunt around here... found after a hint in a previous log
The log was signed at 11:48 on Wednesday 18 August 2021.
The log within is good and dry.
No Muggles about as i was finding, signing and re-hiding which is always welcomed

Cache was right on the co-ordinates, and an easy find if using "what looks out of place here?". Did not notice a tree root. Very cute container (which I thought represented the wattle part of things - yellow). Perfect cache for me .. right on the track, within easy reach, easy to find, and just where GPS said it would be. Thanks wilco.
Under rock might be better hint than under root particularly given the jumpy GPS in this area. Some form of Easter egg hunt going on here today. Muggle central!
Today was a beautiful day so thought we would collect some caches with the geokids along the pipeline track between Neika and Fern Tree. This was an easy one with one of the geokids making a straightforward find. TFTC
Shouldn't have trusted my phone! Was about to give up when I fired up my GPSr and I was finally given good coordinates to the GZ. Straightforward find once there. Cache 4 for my 20/11/19 Pipeline Track caching session, TFTC!
Today we set out to avenge a recent DNF on GC6Y98M "PTPT - I saw the sign", having noticed it had a recent "found" log. Along the way we picked up another three traditional caches, but unfortunately we also picked up a new DNF.
Rather than park at Fern Tree as we had last time, we decided this time to park where the track crosses Gray's Road, and proceed to GC6Y98M from there. This cache was actually in the other direction, but close enough that we figured we might as well go for it while we were in the neighbourhood.
We had a lovely easy walk along the track behind the local residences to the GZ. We spotted a couple of hiding spots in the area, but pretty quickly tracked down the spot containing the cache. We did have a few interruptions from muggles while signing the log (pretty busy today!), but otherwise had no trouble.
Lovely spot, TFTC!

Coming down to Hobart to visit the newly relocated Hancock Clan, we needed to decide on a good target for the day. The Dragon’s Lair looked right up out alley, so we walked the majority of the powertrail to reach it. A few DNFs along the way, but a great place for a power trail.
The gps signal was highly dodgy in places, so the hints came in very handy indeed!
Please excuse the generic logs.

An enjoyable day out caching with Delloro who was staying with us for the weekend. The target for the day was The Dragon's Lair and it was a nice bonus to have this trail of caches to find en route! TFTC!

Tassie Trip Day 107 - Today was a good day for a ride on the bike and after deciding to do the Pipeline Track it was finding a place to park and found somewere that was ok but not the correct spot but alas I went on my way and the track was started.
A nice sport to stop and collect another smiley on this wonderful trail.
Thanks wilo (aka Team Natty Dean) for bring us here and adding to this wonderful power trail in what is a lovely area to ride a bike and enjoy the track.

And again the instict kicked in. Seems I am getting my mojo back after a very long pause. Due to older logs was on the right side straight away. TFTC
Took a little while as was looking on the wrong side of the track due to gps stuffing up haha
Like most of the caches along the PTPT trail,
this one was frustrating to find
Not a power trail at all !!
More of a leisurely wander along a great trail of caches [^]
It was obvious that expecting easy finds along this trail was a pipe dream
So with patience galore today,
I slowly made me way along the trail on foot.
And found most of the caches I chased

100th find for Kindred Joy! A little easy to see by muggles so shifted a little backwards
Too many muggles at GZ on our first pass but no one in sight on our return so a quick find was made.

Another fine day in Hobart and made my way up to Wellington Mountain, but first a stop in Fern Tree to find some caches. TFTC Greetings from Belgium.
I had DNFed this cache on my last visit 4 years ago, and unfortunatly this time was no different. It looks like liots of trees have been cut down, and I wonder if said young Wattle tree may have suffered such a fate?
Decided to walk along the track as long as we could without running out of steam. Found most of the caches on the way, thanks for placing them all.
Well the name of this cache was perfect since we got caught in a shower as we walked from the last one, it was a quick find for us if I remember correctly and we soon added our names to the log before heading off again.
We had planned to do this lower pipeline a while ago now but today was the day and with only 4 of the 6 people in the group that did the upper some months ago due to illness.
It was a great day for it not too warm and with only a little bit of rain as we made our way along this easy walk down to Fern Tree.
Thanks for the cache.

Well yes the wattle was wet and so were we. We had just been hit by a passing shower, not too heavy though. As we strolled down the track we nearly overshot this one as we were really enjoying the scenery. SSR, still on the ball, quickly had his hands on this one. Another one ticked off, thanks wilco
It was a lovely Tasmanian winter’s day, just right for a caching stroll with AlbyDangles, Lil Rafa and geoDog, and the younger ep with me. We started at Ferntree, via Silver Falls, down to Neika, then a bit further and finished back at Neika. About 19 finds for the day, and a couple of DNFs thrown in for variety! A great time with excellent company. Thanks for the cache Wilco, had to point jnr ep to GZ!

Great day exploring the lower section of the PTPT with Eeepees and AlbyDangles. Little EP did a great job being sent in to explore GZ whilst the adults of the group stood by and gave helpful instructions Thanks for helping with this one little EP, and TFTC Wilco.
Found this one really quickly but the muggle activity was really high so had to wait for a while to return it while the rest of the family went on ahead.

Found this cache with Ulagatin while also looking for the others along the track. TFTC
In Hobart for the morning on foot, time to look for a few caches. Quick easy find. TFTC
