Couldn't help checking on this excellent multi while using boardwalk. While the yellow and green reflectors remain, we saw empty fixtures rather than partial coordinates. I do hope shogun- can intervene!

It has been a long time in the works, finding this cache, with a number of barriers in the way and to remain patient at the same time. I'm not a fan of night caching, mainly because I can't see and wandering around the bush on my own in the dark is not my idea of fun. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the several daytime walks I took along this boardwalk. The one attempt at night time with a torch before lockdown not so much.
Never ended up seeing the reflector for East supposedly. And I learnt from a previous finder that the third set of clues was missing also. Obtaining final GZ co-ordinates from the previous finder and I was excited by the possibility of finally signing a log sheet. Not where I had anticipated GZ to be. My first attempt and there was too much of an audience, while I'd forgotten that I was actually supposed to be here at night, but that was not going to happen.
Returning with another pair of eyes I thought I'd blend in more with company. After five minutes, I discovered something promising and then found the very well hidden cache. Quite a bit of trouble returning it to its home but got there eventually.
A very well done multi cache. It would be a shame if it cannot be maintained, but certainly requires some CO attention. Thanks to shogun for placing this. I hope it can be maintained back to the quality it deserves.

Hi There we finally completed this great cache with the help of previous finder. Two of the waypoints are gone. We contacted owner for help and even offered after finder it that we would maintain this cache as the GZ is really good. No answer from owner. We would love to replace the two missing links and maintain it.
Found this one with Mum aka Xambo4u last year after a number of attempts and some assistance from previous finders. This is a wonderful location for a night cache and an amazing final GZ that really needs to be maintained or reset as a number of the clues are currently missing. I would be happy to take over management and adopt this cache as I live close by and it would be such a shame for this one to disappear forever. Please reach out if you would be happy for me to adopt.
Many Thanks Trevor
Many Thanks Trevor
Out and about with geo son trying to complete the night cachers here. We had completed the first clue easy and next was no luck. Contacting a previous finder tonight we managed the next leg. Searched and searched high low and under. Needed to PHF again and got assistance. That stage is gone. More assistance needed and ended up at GZ, After more hint BINGO finally. This is an excellent hidden and well crafted cache. Lovely walk and worth the trouble but clues are gone. Would give it a fav it clues were there. Thanks RH for your assistance. Will make the walk in daylight
Managed to find the yellow reflector and its clue but the green reflector was nowhere to be seen.
Attempting this in the daytime, I convinced myself it was doable as I have eyes like a hawk. I managed to find the yellow reflector but could not find the subsequent clue nearby. Like recent finders, the green reflector eludes me. Will get in touch with CO for further advice.
Epic fail for us tonight. Armed with a new bright torch we made our way around the boardwalks but failed to pick up the Green Reflector. We made our way to a likely spot to find the next clue but after 15 minutes we conceded. We retraced our steps back to the car again looking for the Green Reflector but still couldn't spot it! It was time for us to call it quits and return to camp by this stage. We did enjoy the walk in the dark however .
Returned tonight to turn a frown upside down. With a couple of fresh cachers in tow, mazzystar and I set out to finish what we did not last time. The green reflector still evades is despite searching high and low. However with thanks to shogun we were on our way to the next checkpoint. The next coordinates were soon in hand and we were off to GZ. A thorough search of the area almost had us at the final, but a late night tip from shogun had the cache in hand. Excellent hiding spot, and an overall awesome cache! TFTC!!!!
Explored the path in search of the elusive reflectors. The initial white reflectors appeared few and far between. But then the rate picked up and we found the yellow reflector and the clue. But no sign of the green or the second clue so we had to retire.
As much as we’d enjoyed our adventures here a few weeks back, the failure to find left us feeling like failures. We got some tips from the CO and returned determined to boost our self esteem. It still took a bit of finding but eventually Mrs Bruce (who would despise being referred to by that name) came up with the goods, and we could happily retire to a local cafe for coffee and cake. Thanks shogun for a memorable experience.
Having enjoyed 'A Night around the Park' a while back, The Furphs and Bruces were up for another night cache adventure last night, and so we charged the torches, rugged up, and boldly ventured forth. Then youngest Bruce fell from the boardwalk while looking up at a possum, and returned to the car to cry it out with Mum. The rest of the party found enough reflectors to lead us on, but we got to the yellow reflector without seeing a green, and didn't see a clue at the yellow. I should've looked at the hint, but didn't. We decided to continue clueless, but found the reflectors hard to find. We continued for a bit anyway, as there were plenty of ambush opportunities to keep the kids amused. Eventually as the child who'd declared they didn't need their unstylish warmest coat began to complain of the cold, I came to a spot, flashed my torch and saw some clear and bright coordinates in the distance. They weren't complete, but other logs made it clear what the other parts should be. So we headed there, but it was getting late and cold and so after an unsuccessful poke around here and there we headed back to the Furph fire. Today we returned, but despite daylight and not too many distractions the hide stayed unfound. Given some experienced finders have labelled it 'diabolical' we weren't too crushed. Thanks shogun for the adventure so far.
beckNmonts informed me that she is planning to do night caches with liambaxter88. If I would like to come. Fortunately, I decided to come as I really hate cold weather but love night caching. Enjoyed walking along the boardwalk, saw a lot of cute possums. At the final, beckNmonts spotted the hide and I am able to open it without any hassles. I love this type of clever cache so a big thanks to shogun for this great night cache and bringing us here. A fav from me.
This cache was the reason for tonight’s caching. Liam put a call out on Facebook, wanting companions. Pwala and myself answered the call, and off we set tonight. I’m so glad we did! A very good multi with a twist. But my favourite point is for the hide. I discovered it, but soon called on Pwala to see if she could open it. Of course she could! I’m no time at all we were signing the log. Thanks for the great cache shogun-
Awesome night cache! My 2nd night caching adventure this time with BeckNMonts and Pwala. A lovely walk followed by a tricky hide at the final. Thanks shogun!
Found it , the night visit ended in disappointment, only one reflector found. Followed the trail till it ended, I guess this is where we are ment to be, but no clue found tonight. A couple of day visits still no joy. Time to call Chiefton, he assured me the clues were there and go sit and have another look. This time in about 3 seconds bingo, how did we miss that. Now at gz looking everywhere the skies opened up getting too wet we will come back another day. Finally found it and the log was signed after getting another hint on how to retrieve it. Thanks for this hard but still fun cache.
This odyssey was a 3 part epic.
It started simply enough on a beautifully mild evening. We promptly found green and moved on to yellow. This is when it all started going wrong.
We walked backwards and forwards many times without any sight of it.
We landed at a place that looked likely based on what we had but we couldn’t be sure. With torch-lit tunnel vision we searched the area but couldn’t find anything. Night Over.
We returned during the day and thought we’d have another look at that spot. We could not believe what we had missed. Now that takes some doing.
We moved to the final stage but there was plenty of activity which limited ours. Day Over.
We returned on another day when the coast was clear. After going all over we finally discovered that which wasn’t right.
And then, another puzzle. Is there no end to this fellow’s genius and creativity?
A satisfying end to a lengthy odyssey.
Thanks shogun for another ripper.

A fun adventure made quite a bit quicker with the help of a previous finder. It just meant that whenever I was heading in the wrong direction, which was a lot, I was corrected immediately....otherwise it would have been a very long night!!! Another brilliant night cache with the shogun- twist. A fabulous camo at GZ, a favourite from me.
Find #3401
Apologies for the late log. With my family away for a few days I put out the call on Facebook for any interested parties to join up for some night caching. This was the second night of three and the Mornington Peninsula was our targeted area for this evening. I was pleased to be joined by OzHockeyChick, Geoturtle37, MarkandKelly (well just the Kelly half), jascat, and Wombles of Woodlands. After a few other finds jascat headed home as she had already found this one.
Luckily for us so had OHC and as we diligently headed down the wrong track she ‘guided’ us (and probably saved us about 30 mins) onto the right direction. We found the message at one WP but not the other but carried on guided by our instincts and suddenly like a message in the dark there were the final coordinates that we needed. At this time of night we were able to hear and see some wildlife as we made our way along the boardwalk.
We head back to our cars and drove to GZ as we felt that would save us a bit of time in the long run. At GZ I steeled myself to ‘think like shogun’ and a short time later I had found something that looked interesting. Even then the extraction took a little bit of thinking about as it is a neat piece of work. As we were congratulating ourselves and signing the log another car arrived into the general area where we were.
Our first instinct was to hide from the driver and I’m sure that only aroused suspicion as the car kept trying to reposition and shine the headlights in our direction. We carried on the hide and the giggled like schoolkids as we realised we were trapped until the car lost interest and gave up the search. We repositioned ourselves to avoid the beams quicker than the diver was able to move the car and kept on hiding. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for this great night cache shogun. This one earns a favourite point from me.

Well if this wasn't an adventure for all involved.
We arrived to locate the necessary clues. Have we got them all or are we fortunate enough to have stumbled across all we need inadvertently?
We had a previous finder with us that informed us that we were right to go and also supplied us with a small push in the right direction for the needed travel.
It was whilst at GZ that the real fun started!
The very clever cache was quickly located. As signatures where being added, a local self proclaimed security detail made itself known.
We all scrambled to make ourselves as thin as we could, extinguishing geo tools quickly. It seemed like an eternity that we held this position, a statue would have been proud.
Phew. Security detail leaving.
Oh no, not so lucky. After re-positioning the vehicle he/she was travelling in, we quickly realised that we were soon going to appear like clowns at the carnival, all sitting deathly still with only our heads moving to see if we were safe.
The call came and we all scrambled for safer hiding places.
At last! Our local left the area and we all wondered just exactly what we were hiding for. It will be interesting to see if anyone of the geovehicle owners receives a call from the constabulary.
Great time had by all, Great cache in a Great area.
Thanks to all involved.

Quickly jogged through while in the area. Trail looks better than I've ever seen it before!!

Find # 481
Classic escapade.
Shadowed by a previous finder, we set off, albeit in the wrong direction...
Previous finder states, "In the interest of saving everyone half an hour, do you mind me telling you you're headed the wrong way..." "Of course not" was the unanimous reply.
Many eyes were watching us in the ti-tree, with no less than 6 Ring Tailed Possus spotted (I'm sure one whispered that his name was Peter, down from Bunyip, visiting some relo's!).
A yellow reflector was sighted and clue saught and found... white reflectors then followed, until there were no more reflectors and no more boardwalk.
Its funny, the places you've been previously, the things you've seen and not 'really' noticed. I've spent numerous hours seeking the elusive Black Bream that call these waters home at this very spot, and subconsciously had seen the hidden detail but paid it no real notice until tonight... strange game this can be indeed!
But why so much detail here... we're still missing some elusive numbers... but are we really, could these be the elusive numbers we really needed and we've stumbled across them regardless. The shadow following us confirmed we had all we need, so back to the vehicles to park nearer to GZ.
At this pointI felt I should park with a quick getaway in mind.
This is where the fun began. With one hunter checking GZ on one side, and another from the opposite, an unusual contraption was discovered and solved... It was about now that a 4th set of headlights, totally unexpected mind you, entered the area. Portable geo-lights were extinguished, geo-tools left scattered across the area, while 5 geo-hunters ducked into the hiding space for cover.
Said headlights appeared to scope out the geo-vehicles and hung in the area for a period that seemed uncomfortably prolonged, before the driver appeared to return the way they came until... they repositioned and directed the lights into a new area. Feeling safe now, the 5 geo-hunters decided it was safe to move to a more secure area, reposition the log and clear the area of scattered geo-tools... but thats when the headlights were directed straight at us. Clambering for cover the hunters saught out any refuge possible.
Finally after what seemed like an eternity, the headlights disappeared into the night and 5 happy geo hunters returned to their trusty vehicles for a quick getaway (one parked in such a fashion that this would've been possible, if only he could find his keys in amongst the 17 pockets within all the layers they were wearing).
Thanks to all the cachers that made up a fun little group that worked well as a team in the wide open spaces of Found it #8 and the unexpected confines of a Night at the Briars!
Thanks to original and new CO's for their efforts that went into the set-ups and ongoing maintenance.

Well that was an adventure and a half! Our first ever night true night cache on our own! Excitement plus! First we couldn't find the right track at all. The GPS sent us over the bridge near the car park instead of to the left. After we PAFed we found the right track with reflectors and all! We looked for the green and yellow reflectors. Found the yellow one but colour-blind partner, who actually came on this adventure with me tonight, said it couldn't be right because we hadn't found the green one. We followed the trail of white reflectors to, I presume a lovely spot by the creek. We sat and reconnoitred our trip. Flashing the torch around we found a part of some coordinates. I put them together with an educated guess at some other numbers and came up with a reasonably likely GZ. I phoned my friend again, who confirmed we were on the right track.
We drove down a road to GZ and found a floodlit sports ground with hundreds of Muggles running around. We decided it was dinner time and to come back later. After a great Indian meal in a nearby shopping centre we returned to find the area in darkness.
We approached GZ and spent about 15 minutes combing the structure we were led to. No sight of a cache.
We'd come all the way from Phillip Island and this was my last chance for some unloved days, the best I'd had in four days. I wasn't going to let this slip out of my hands at this stage!
Another call to my friend and we knew we were close but he couldn't lead us to our quarry. Finally he had the CO's number which he gave to us and as a last resort I rang him. It went to an answering service, so I left a message and resumed searching. This time it was my turn to crawl around under the structure when the CO returned my call! He nursed us through the final stage and at last the log book was in our hands!
The log was signed, a huge thanks to shogun for the outstanding cache and his support. I wish I could award more than one favourite point here. One just doesn't seem enough for the gratitude we both feel for this wonderful adventure we've had and the supportiveness of the geocaching community we experienced this evening. Now for the long drive home. Unfortunately, it wasn't an unloved, although nobody had logged the cache on line for over eight months, once I opened the log there were two signatures there from about 10 days ago! That was a bit of a wasted effort. Why don't people log as soon as the find, even if its a "full log to follow" type log.

A spot of night caching with jascat.
At first we headed in to the wrong trail and obviously found nothing of interest.
Take two saw us wandering along the boardwalk following the rf trail.
We spotted one of the waypoints and soon found that which we sought but no sign of it's partner.
Continuing along Judith spotted something interesting and we wondered if it would help at all.
Many possums out tonight, which doesn't help when you are looking for reflectors in the trees.
With GZ calculated, we walked back to the car and took a short drive, just in case it wasn't what we assumed.
A thorough search found some things of interest but it wasn't until a PAF confirmed our suspicions, that we knew we were on the right track.
Judith suggested a course of action and the log soon presented itself.
I love your work shogun-
Thank you for the adventure, the innovative geocache (from start to finish) and the twists along the way.
A favourite for sure [^]

Headed out with n0w0rries for a bit of an adventure and another night cache. I didn't realise till I got there that this one hadn't been found in eight and half months. This was a great cache one that should have been relatively easy. It would have been if not for the fact that we retraced our steps worried that we had missed an important clue. We got there in the end. Thanks to the CO for the fun adventure TFTC
Full check on all WP's + RF's
All in order - many thx to all finders for maintaining the hide.

This was the last of three caches that I did tonight with the assistance of BendSinister. It was clearly enforced by a phone call from the CO saying that I was so close that I had to do this cache haha. This was a fun cache that had Bend and I a little stumped as we found the last coloured marker first and had to back track until we found the second message. Once we reached the next section of the geocache I had a little difficulty finding what we were looking for but after a quick slip up from Bend I was quickly able to find it and Proceed to the next and final stage . As we approached we both heard the sound of someone riding their dirt bike around the reserve but fortunately they left as we arrived at GZ. Looking for the cache took a very long time (twas very painful), but after an extended period of time I was given a hint and and the cache was quickly in hand. Anyways Shogun I'd like to thank you for the great night cache I cant wait to go out and do another one.
Returned with OzHockeyChick and 88andy88 to have another crack at this one, and once again we couldn't locate the green reflector. After a little hint some more searching we had the information needed for GZ. Took a little bit to find this cleverly hidden cache.

Daznjaneo, 88andy88 and I returned tonight to hopefully complete this night cache.
We again found one of the two required reflectors. Backtracked to the start and took a longer, more careful look. However we were still unable to locate the elusive green.
Having to resort to a PAF, we had enough information to move on and find the next wp and ultimately the gz.
At gz, we spent quite some time before dazz found the sneaky hide. Very nice indeed. A fav for the ingenuity. Cheers!

Found @10:18 PM #1862 Out tonight with OzHockeyChick and Daznjaneo and returned back to this one to have another go. We began on the well lit up trail but suddenly approached a yellow RF and had to go back to search for a green RF. Unfortunately we had no success on this green RF and had to PAF for a hint which helped us to continue on . Loved this cache and had ball out on the boardwalks and beyond.
The final hide was a ripper too. Took us a little while to find but very clever and a very worthy cache to say the least.
Awesome night cache and hopefully the green fella is still hidden there and we all just missed it.

After my recent DNF, I was this evening lucky to have the CO on hand while I had another look. It's now clear that I adopted too narrow an interpretation of the instructions, such that I almost guaranteed that I wouldn't find the initial clues even where I did find the crucial coloured reflectors. Indeed at the second (yellow) waypoint I had spent a not inconsiderable period of time inches away from enlightenment, but it's almost if I was studiously avoiding making the find! Meanwhile, the crucial green reflector was not actually in place on my first visit. The tree in question had shed a limb or two recently, and said reflector was found by the CO sitting amongst the undergrowth. [But now restored to its rightful position, I should add]
Of course, given that I had managed to find GZ first time around regardless, the single most important factor in the failure of my first expedition was almost certainly the cruel, cruel nature of the hide itself. 'Diabolical' one previous finder said, and it's hard to disagree. I think it's fair to say that my lone pair of seemingly-not-very-good-in-the-dark-anyway eyes had little chance of a breakthrough in the time I had initially allowed myself. I'm keen to avoid spoilers, so will say only that it took me a further 30 or so minutes, with a few nudges from the CO, before an astonishingly, um, discrete hide was was unveiled. Wowee zowee! I can only concur with past visitors. This is most excellent night-cache. Thanks a lot shogun-!

I somehow struggled with this one on multiple fronts simultaneously. Saw many many reflectors, but couldn't reliably differentiate those marking the crucial waypoints from the rest. At at least one location where I *was* almost certain that I had found such a point I failed to pick up on the clues. Nevertheless, I suspect I did in fact visit GZ in the end...but the cache was too well hidden for me! My brain is definitely enfeebled this days, but it didn't realise it was quite *this* enfeebled. Or maybe I just need more Vitamin A. Shall try again some time. Thanks shogun!
Found with itsahoughthing. We greatly enjoyed this cache and the journey to it. We found each of the numbers on the way and didn't take too long to spot the twist. We spent sometime at the GZ looking for cache but were unable to find anything. We returned the next morning to check our numbers (which were right) and searched again at the GZ. After checking something I had looked at the night before I spotted the clever cache and it's mechanism. Thanks for a fantastic and clever night cache!
Find no. 610
We set off on a journey with the mission to do find our first night cache, as we had planned to do Black Hawk down with the co's the following night. We were certainly keen to gain as much night caching experience as possible! And message in a bottle didn't disappoint.
The board walk was fantastic, long and interesting with some nice intersections that could have easily turned us around. At first we didn't follow the path to the second section of the boardwalk, positive we must have missed the first reflector we back tracked to the beginning and started again. Soon we were on a roll the first coloured reflector located and soon enough the message in a bottle, then came the second reflector and message. Confident we were on our way to GZ off we went, spotting possums on the way. Next the nice little twist was an added bonus to the night. Once at GZ, and with rain starting to fall in the dark of the night we located the clever hide. It wasn't too much longer before the log was signed, replaced and we were dashing back to the geomobile in what had become steady rain. Off to catch some shut eye before what is sure to be an epic night tomorrow.
A huge thank you to shogun for a great night cache, and bringing us to this amazing walk that we never knew existed. I'm sure we'll visit this area in daylight hours to enjoy as well. TB's visited.

Geowife and I have only just started doing night caches and this was our third one. We have heard good reports about this one and tonight we decided to have crack. A great walk along the boardwalk and we were following the fire tacks which were nice and bright. We got to wp1 and quickly discovered the message and this was noted. Continuing on we spotted a possum on a branch just above our heads. Still on the trail I spotted a very bright yellow reflector high in the tree top . Pretty excited I started to wonder where the hide would be and then I spotted the second yellow reflector close together. It was a possum. WP 2 was quickly discovered , coords punched in and on our way. Wp3 took a long time to find and when we did we thought wow. Now onto final. This one was a very clever and sneaky hide. It took us a long time as we searched everywhere . Finally it was revealed. Log signed and back safely again.
What a great night cache in a lovely location. We had a ball. Thank you shogun. You have a favourite from us.

Maintenance check.
Apologies to previous hunters - One of the RF points was badly faded - replacement RF is now more obvious
1. Replaced faded RF with a bright Green
2. Extra (White) RF's added along the route
A minor change to the route - will revert to original in due course.
All other stages in excellent order.

Looking at doing a maintenance run within the next week or so, to replace and add to RF trail. Anyone wanting to tag along ... drop us a line.
Headed over on the ferry tonight with this nightcache in mind to tackle and hopefully turn into a smiley. After reading up on the logs we knew we were going to have a challenge on our hands and that we did! We rugged up in our winter woollies and set out on the boardwalk following the RF's looking for the vital messages needed to progress to GZ. Unfortunately we either missed the first clue or it has gone awol with voluntary cleanup works In progress. With sheer luck through perseverance we managed to find the twist and our final GZ co-ords. After searching high and low though, without any luck we had second thoughts about the final GZ so we went back just to double check we had the correct information. We did! So another thorough search was initiated without any luck. Getting desperate we contacted the CO who kindly gave us a strong hint on where to look. As others before us have said this hide is evil....diabolical even! Shogun- you are the micro master.
Thank you very much Shogun- for your ingenious well set out nightcache which definitely deserves a favourite.

Find #1560
Stemicmitsar and I headed back to our happy hunting ground of the Mornington Peninsula to tackle the southern end of the bay trail.
I had started this cache earlier this year but was unable to finish it at the time because we'd run out of time.
Tonight, or rather this morning, Steve was kind enough to detour via here as we made our way towards home.
I'd made a mistake in my calculations for GZ because I'd worked it out at home rather than in the area of the cache but fortunately for me, as Steve had already found this cache, he corrected my mistake and I found GZ. My next task was to retrieve the container.
Very nice work once again, Joey. I signed the log and in so doing, chalked up my 29th night cache, another multi and a good number of 'unloved days'. A favourite point from me.

We are staying in Rosebud for the week so I was keen to get some night caches down here done while we were here. Quiet1_au and Lochb were happy to come down and tackle two night caches, of which this was the first. The story of the cache is told below. This cache went reasonably smoothly although we struggled to find the second set of co-ords due to the distance separating the two clues. At one stage we searched for the wrong thing. All round a good cache which I was glad of assistance with, and the company. Thanks shogun
GJMMelb
GJMMelb
Well an epic odyssey indeed! lochb and I met up with GJMMelb to tackle this and another of shogun-'s night-caches tonight. The trail went smoothly enough and we spotted out first yellow reflector and after a short short undercovered our first clue. Off we went again and the trail seemed to run cold so we wondered if we'd missed spotting a previous yellow reflector so back-tracked paying more attention higher up but no luck. So back again and with lochb heading further afield while G and I checked the canopy closely again. The many ring-tailed possums didn't help us plight given us lots of extra reflectors... Soon though lochb got us back on the trail and after a bit of a walk we had the second clue and GZ located. More walking and with a careful approach we commenced our search eventually spotted something that seemed unusual (but wasn't) then checking another GJMMelb spotted the hide and with some "finessing" a quick! cache was finally had (be careful how you get at this one not to lose any vital components). TFTC, a sneaky hide!
Wow, what a night cache! Quiet1_au and I met with G of GJMMelb at the starting coordinates and set off. We took the comment about the yellow markers being close to each other too literally and wasted a lot of time looking for a second marker rather than walking on. We uncovered more than one twist following our arrival at the location given in the clues... from then on it was proper teamwork, with everyone contributing! TFTC and all the effort that has gone into this cache - it was a long-ish walk but very enjoyable.
Thanks shogun for one of the best caches Robyn60 & I have ever done. We had perfect weather for our assault on this cache that I have been looking at for a while so tonight was the night. We managed to get to GZ more by accident than anything else, but then we had to resort to ringing Joe for some extra hints on the final cache location. A really well thought out and constructed cache. Thanks Joe well done!!!!!! A favourite point from me and can't wait for more.
Wow, this was lots of fun. Loved walking along the boardwalk at night - so many possums. We were not sure of our final coordinates so rang Joe & he confirmed they were correct. Once we reached GZ we had more problems. We knew Joe was a cruel man, but after some hints we finally found the clever little hide. So much effort has gone into this cache from start to finish. I think I am now addicted to night caches. TFTC FSTBLL (finally signed the bloody little log)
Even though the weather tonight wasn't crash hot, I had the opportunity to head out for a couple of hours and decided to finally do the night cache. What can I say but - wow - what a great fun cache. I made my way along the trail, following the reflectors and stopping for clues when need be. It was quite cold, with some drizzle, and the going was slow and steady. I eventually had the coords for GZ and made my way there.
After a short search I found the very well constructed and very cool cache hide. Never one to disappoont Joe. A favourite for me and well done. Thanks.

Find #988. Found @ 20:35 with the CO.
I've brought the family to the peninsula for a weekend getaway. So what do I do? Abandon them to do some caching.
Ever since this cache was published (and a bit before that, when discussing cache naming with Joe), I knew that I'd have to come down here to get my name in the log. The weekend away provide that opportunity for the night odyssey. I contacted geobuddy shogun- to see if he wanted to see me attempt it. With an affirmative, the combined cache run and cache maintenance check was locked in for an 8pm start.
My torch was slightly lower on battery power, so I even scored the use of another torch... until that one conked out. Joe's backup torch had "slightly" more lumens, and on full brightness would make normal daylight go "Dude! That's bright!". Used on the lower setting, it was just what the doctor ordered.
We walked, we talked, I spotted reflectors (although some may require attention - which is already scheduled), and Joe watched me work out the various aspects of the cache.
Once at GZ, I identified the cache pretty quickly, and had it in my hot little hand not long after.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
As always, I had a great time in enjoyable company, and the time just flys by.
Thanks for the cache and company shogun-.

Found on another TDC night run, We started this great cache a few weeks back but the cache was not in place, we returned tonight to find the great hide, well done Joe fav from me. Thanks for the cache.
The Demolition Crew (TDC) met up for another legendary day/night caching run, this time focusing on the PLT (Peninsula Link Trail) in the Melbourne SE area. Bikes were deployed for this, and are becoming a big feature of our caching, which is fantastic. A great variety of hides were found, and some good numbers for the night, as well as some other caches around the area besides the PLT ones. My thanks to the cache owners for their efforts in placing the caches.
As always Joe, your caches are of a very high standard. A pleasure to have found this night cache, had a lot of fun with it mate. A fav for sure, TFTC.

This is one of the best night caches I have done. It had us searching an object we didn't need to, but once the trail was restarted and we got to GZ we found that the cache was gone. Being back in the area tonight the cache was found and retrieved quickly. Thanks Joe, you had us thinking for a while. A favourite.
After a full day of caching with Pea bear we talked about doing this one tonight, and after a bit of discussion a plan was hatched. Arrived just after sunset & the hunt was on. This is only the 2nd night cache we have done but we are well & truly hooked. Thoroughly enjoyed the search for the reflectors (some even moved & had tails) Found both yellow ones without any problem & recorded the necessary information. Arrived at the destination & was WOWED by what we saw. Figured out what to do next & was completely BLOWN AWAY with the ingenious way of presenting the final clue. On to GZ where a very thorough search ensued. After nearly 30 mins we seriously thought about giving the CO a call but with one last look in a place we had already looked, Pea bear said " I think I have it" & indeed she did but retrieving it took a bit more thought & Boris quickly worked out what to do. Words cannot describe enough the absolute buzz we all got doing this cache. You managed to completely entertain us from start to finish. Best cache we have done to date & the BIGGEST FAVOURITE POINT we have.
Had been caching during the day with BorisB&Natasha and after noticing this one was enabled, a night cache was definitely in order! I went back to their house for a lovely dinner cooked by Natasha, waited for the sun to set and we were off. We couldn't of asked for better weather, nice and mild after the heatwave we have had. Once there we soon picked up the trail of reflectors and eventually found ourselves at the first yellow one, found the necessary info without too much trouble then moved on until we found the second. We then found ourselves at the coords thinking Hmmm, followed the twist and then went Ohhh! Wow! how very cool. Now off to GZ where we had a good 1/2 hr search, was getting close to ringing the CO when I spotted it. Soooo how do I retrieve it? Boris soon had it figured out. Awesome construction! Well what can I say other than is this the best cache ever. Enjoyed every minute of it, even the part where we got lost on our way back to the car! Thankyou soooo much Joe for the cache and amazing adventure. If i could give it 10 Favs I would
Good to go!
Please note - NO TOOLS ARE REQUIRED AT ANY OF THE STAGES ... Including GZ.

Running a few field tests from home to ensure the GZ container will remain in good working order under all weather conditions.
Should have it back ASAP
Should have it back ASAP
Almost finished it - the only thing missing was the final container! The firetacks would have been a struggle if I was doing the cache solo, but Trail & Rebel's identical 'oven' torches were powerful enough to reveal the firetacks. Not going to give the odyssey away, but I will admit to getting very sidetracked at one stage, even though I was barely moving any distance at all. Trail had the brainwave that allowed us to progress, and eventually we were at the GZ, looking around.
Our biggest problem was the obvious one - the cache was disabled at that stage. It's easier just to find enabled caches, and if you need to search for disabled ones just to make a journey worth it - go somewhere else Thanks to Joe & AH for figuring out the maintenance issues for us ahead of time, which we chose to ignore.

It was a beautiful night and I had nothing much on, so I suggested to my caching partner in crime, SedgwickDave that we go out and find a few caches heading towards mornington and the Message in a bottle night cache. I was also keen to test out our new joint Geocaching stamp. We were still insistent on following our own self imposed rules and find a minimum of three different cache types each outing.
Well, what can I say about this night cache... An epic Adventure and one of my most favorite night caches to date, despite not finishing as intended, a wonderful experience. We started along the trail where we soon found our first reflector, followed by a string of them along the trail. We soon came across the first up high yellow one. The first set of numbers to lead us to GZ was soon found. Not too much further along the second yellow was found. It took a little longer to find the numbers but we got it in the end, plugged both sets into the GPSr and off we went. Arriving at the new co ords, it took a bit of time to locate our next instructions. Once followed, we quickly spotted the next part of our adventure. Eventually arriving at GZ where the search began. We had to avoid being spotted by the muggles gathered at the nearby **** house. after an extensive search in and out, I sent a message to the CO who confirmed we were in the right spot. We soon realised we had what we needed but it was not working as it should and after a call from the CO this was confirmed. In the end we worked our what was supposed to happen and soon had the log in hand. An awesome cache Joe, thanks so much. Obviously a Favorite point awarded.
Thanks go to shogun- for the cache.

An ideal night for a mid week night cache run and once more on the trail with Ahomburg and with the new joint found geocaching stamp. Tonight's area was the Frankston/Mornington region for attempting one of the high quality night caches. Once more the 3 type ruled achieved.
Once more an amazing clever night cache with new twists not seen before. It was fun working out the twist which did take us a few moments to realize. Found the require info along the first stage easily enough. There is no need to leave the board walk at the first set of coordinates as stated on the cache page. Well with the twist and further discovery made it was off to the final GZ. Once at GZ we spent about 10mins searching and at one stage a huntsman spider the size of my hand appeared just where I had been looking, OMG! Well using one of my geocaching tools the spider was flick away and this allowed the search to continue. During this stage of the hunt I had notice something but then dismiss it... Having not found the cache but knowing we were in the right spot we decided to used a PAF to the CO and with some helpful nudges finally had cache in hand. The cache blew me away, that is so awesome, very cool! Not saying any more. TFTC shogun another epic night cache completed of yours, love your work & style of caches. A favorite.[^]

It looked like it was going to be a fine evening and with a schedule free of commitments, the only thing left to do was to convince the taxi
Taxi convinced, we were off. 4 NCs were on the agenda but only 2 were completed. This was the 2nd of those two.
This was definitely my favourite cache of the night. Boy was it good. Joe you are a true treasure to our game - please, never leave it!
I thought I was actually going to get 4 caches done tonight but I dreamed to big. This one, like CROSSING, took longer than expected. We started off well finding the trail easily and getting the necessary clues with ease. No problems there.
Then we thought we were headed for GZ. So we practically turned the torches off until we arrived at where the clues had directed us.
We began looking around for about 15mins when I finally had to succumb to a PAF to the owner. Just like the previous NC, we were both very confused as to what the other was talking about. I soon realised my error - this was not in fact the GZ we were looking for!
Quickly spotted the twist and how awesome is that! Kept the CO on the phone just to make sure we didn't bugger anything up again. Soon we uncovered the second half of the 'twist' and again, what awesomeness! So bloody brilliant Joe. But alas, this wasn't the best part. On to GZ we went, expecting high things.
This GZ looked much more likely than what we had previously thought to be GZ. We began the search and originally, I would have wanted it to be a quick search. However it was now very late and I wasn't going to be able to do any more caches. Damn
Soon we uncovered something that looked a bit unusual. A quick message to the owner confirmed we were looking at the cache. I won't say much more but wow, this was awesome. A very clever contraption that will stump many (partly including us ).
Once again, thanks for yet another brilliant cache Joe. Loved every minute of it.
Damn

Absolutely awesome Joe. One of the best night caches round. I echo Covert's words.

Top Shelf Night Cache Joe.. You've really raised the bar here..
Loved it, from our mini challenge spot the reflector game, to the well placed WP's and stunning surprise at the next two stops.. Really well considered and set out, and really highlights the area to its full potential.. Well constructed too.. (Geeze, this is starting to sound like a job resume)..
Loved GZ also.. had us scratching our heads, but we soon spied the more likely and a little unnecessary tool action, however an idea sprung into our conversation later when we realised we could have made it easier for ourselves.. Thanks for an awesome cache Joe.. giving me inspiration to get another out myself.. Thanks Kellyhaunts for the hide and adventure..

Found @ 11:06pm, find # 1680
This is truely one of the greats, a favorite of the favorites.
After returning to the car after completing the other night cache Spladem and I made our way to the start of this one.
The trail was quickly found, obviously I was abit slow on finding the reflectors as Adam at found the first 5 or 6 then i found one and a mini competition had been formed to see who could find the next one.
After a little while we came to the first point where we needed to find some info, a short search and the nice little hide with the wp. information was found.
We continued on and arrived at the next point of interest and the info was gathered, the two lots of info was entered into the GPSr and we continued on until we reached a point where there was a nice surprise showing us the way. Our journey continued until we reached another point where as we approched the numbers just went bang and hit us in the face another wow.
After that information we now were headed for GZ, when we arrived we had a bit of a look around and a particular object was noticed and a closer look was needed but there was nothing there which confussed us alittle until Adam notice another object and this one had a little extra to it. After a little bit of fiddling around which after we realised we didn't have to do, a excellent cache hide was revelled and once again we signed in for a 2TF behind C@H.
Thanks to shogun- / Joe for this amazing cache journey, you certainly put a lot of effort into your hides.
It is certainly a pleasure to go out and find your caches, well most of the time we may exclued No.5 from that.

Well done Covey!!
Another well deserved FTF to add to ya list. Also appreciate the kind words, makes it all well worth the effort of putting caches together. YAY!!
