With sadness it is time to start archiving my caches in Tamworth as we are moving out of the region. This Cache was my very first, over 100 people have logged it, a few DNFs. I loved this location with the weirdly placed anchor to celebrate John Oxley - nowhere near an ocean!. Reading back on the logs, thrilled to see that dear geocaching friends Geono, were the FTF and many other local names I recognize.
It has been fun!

Wespent the night in Tamworth and are heading for our appointment and realise we are early and of course you then check for caches on the way. This was a lovely quick grab. TFTC
Found on journey away from the Mega. Today we travelling form Warialda to Tamworth so we are only stopping for the occasional cache. We stopped here for lunch while we got our next couple of nights accommodation sorted. A pretty little spot.

Couldn't find it, quite a lot of syringes about be careful poking your hand places.
QLD Mega trip 2015 with Sol de Lune. On this almost 400km road trip we drove from Canberra to Stanthorpe caching in all the towns along the way with mostly great success. Around the Mega there were heaps of caches to be done including a few power trails. Despite the weather we got all of the planned caches done.
Day three was spent caching around Tamworth and then watching the cricket world cup at the amazing camp ground kitchen. I had the chance to do the old cache here and it was fun to visit again. Thanks.

Found with Albida33 on the way to the Stanthorpe Mega......so please excuse the generic log.
The cache was found without any issues and the log was soon signed....then back in the car and off to continue our travels.
Thanks for the cache and adding to the fun of our Mega trip.....

This rest stop badly needs a mow then it would be a nice stop for a cupper. Easy find TFTC
My previous visit to this Cache was a No Find as it was missing, different today it did not take to long to locate it now that it has been replaced some months ago. This is a good Cache at a very interesting location. I was carrying a packed lunch with me, so I decided to go to this Cache location and sit at the picnic table and enjoy my lunch at the same time as finding toe Cache, it all worked well. TFTC.
We are wending our way back north after a brief run south for a family celebration. Hunting for caches on the way but we have to be selective due to the caravan on the back. This was a good stop and we had the cache in hand at 10.25 am. TNLN and used the diminutive D2 in the logbook. Enjoyed the history and inspected the anchor, thank you wilbur6bug.
I would like to have seen him get the boat up here! Stopped for bite to eat and the cache - thanks for the history.
Subtle hide. TFTC.

Today we did a tour around Tamworth, we visited many parks, lookouts & the wonderful tributes to Country Music of which this town is so famous.
The caches we found were interesting & varied. The cachers of Tamworth should all be proud of their well maintained caches.
Thanks for placing this cache wilbur6bug

Worked nearby today and decided to pick up this one on my way back into town. Beautiful little spot in the midafternoon! TFTC!
Great location. I didn't even know that Oxley was out this way.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Reperio at 1005.
After an enjoyable days caching around Tamworth yesterday, I got up this morning to tackle a few more before heading home to Newcastle. Took a little detour out to visit this one, and this was an interesting little memorial. A quick rest and the cache was spotted.

Found by team handlel. Looked several times before when it was missing. Great cache
I have placed a new cache container, different style from the previous one and hopefully more camouflaged
as this is a close cache to us we thought we would check on it with so many dnf's and it appears to be muggled. no sign of it.
Will replace this cache in the next couple of days. Sorry to the previous cachers, always frustrating when the cache is destroyed
I had compiled a list of details relating to all of the Caches in and around the Tamworth area several weeks ago and was unaware that this cache was missing prior to going to look for it. And now I realise that there was a very good reason for not finding it, it was missing. Better luck next time.
First ever cache, with no luck! Need to find at least one so I know what I'm looking for!! Any help
Nice quick find on our way home from Tamworth after spending the night for the regional training awards with geowife. Nice little hide. Did not see previously mentioned pathtag though. TFTC
Found this clever hide whilst showing a noob the ropes... Great spot - TFTC-SL. Left Path tag for future travels.
